michael matthews: To preface, I'm a simple guy from Texas who worked in the oil fields and served in the Army for 6 years, so I'm not snoody/rich and live a simple life...however I am common sense. I wanted to surprise my wife and I had reservations for the Valentine's Day dinner at 7 pm. I'll summarize the experience:-had multiple couples that came later than us seated before us-I asked them about our reservation and they had lost our paper-we didn't get seated until 8:10pm-didn't get our first cup of water from the waitress until 8:30-my wife's salad come out completely wrong but we didn't bother to send it back since it was already 8:45 and it was a 4 course meal and at that rate we figured we'd be there until 11pm (even though the reservation said 7 to 8:30 pm-my steak came in wrong and I didn't bother sending it back for the same reason, so I ate half-we bought a bottle of champagne to have prior to the meal, waitress forgot about it at the beginning that so we asked if we could just take it home in which case the waitress gave a little bit of a fit. She had to double check and she finally had it-we were double charged on the bill-then to hammer the nail in the coffin, they tacked on over $75 of fees (admin fee, service fee, like what is this garbage)-a couple behind us were getting equally frustrated with the service and talked to us how disappointed they were as well-ultimately we didn't leave until about 10:50 pm and we had maxed our parking out...thanks guysI give people the benefit of the doubt but man...If you want a pleasant experience, don't come here. I'll get a 36 floor view for $100 on a Spirit Airlines.

Hideki S: Went for Devour winterfest and overall had quite a fantastic meal. Despite the very slow service in general and being seated in a small conference room of sorts [not exactly the showy experience i hoped for when 2 guests we brought had never seen the place before] , it was a really terrific time! Our waitress was stellar and really made up for the oversights and delays with her wonderful personal style and hospitality. Always an experience coming to this place... would recommend again, but preferably when less busy. Views are killer... it's a unique place for sure.

Grant Helms: Dining at the Skyline Club is synonymous with a special occasion or celebration. The dinner menu is small, but well crafted, and the service is often excellent. Further, the Skyline always offers that rare, yet refreshing dining atmosphere where guests can actually gather, converse, and hear each other at the table or bar. The main attraction, however, is unquestionably the city views throughout the place, which probably are as good as it gets in town.
Mandy Cross: I was very disappointed with our overall experience, especially for the price. We had reservations at 5:30 on a Friday, with Yuletide at 8:00.We ordered a bottle of Chardonnay and it was warm. We had to ask for ice, for $60/bottle, the white wine should be chilled.You were out of 3 menu items, we ordered salads that did not come out before the meal.We had to return our sea bass to be “cooked more.” It was 7:35 and we still had not gotten our check. We had to ask for it twice. We also had to ask about our food after 45 min of it being ordered.We were charged for the “complimentary” bubbly, which we never asked for, it was at our table when we arrived. We then had to have it removed from our check, which took longer. As you can imagine, we were late to our show.For a $900 meal, we expected better food and service. This place is more expensive than a high end steak restaurant. Not impressed at all.

Bryndon Preston: This restaurant is consistently great! The food quality is high, the atmosphere is unique, and the staff is always friendly and knowledgeable.This is another safe place for my wife with food allergies and celiac disease to enjoy great-tasting and healthy food. The same people who own Divvy (also Amazing!!) also own the library. That means excellent-tasting food worth every penny you pay to eat here.I love the Library for business meetings or gathering with friends. They also have a great outdoor space to enjoy when the weather is nicer. I look forward to Summer meals there soon.

Relying on Google for assistance, I searched restaurants near my hotel when I came across this Gem of a place. Service was great with Tedd our Librarian. Drew was very helpful in planning the event and he and his staff were very attentive during the meal. The food, beer and drinks were delicious and the waiters and bartenders were friendly and very helpful. The event space was perfect for our large group who ages ranged from 90 to 8 months.The younger children had fun in the open areas while the adult family members visited at the tables. We highly recommend The Liter House for your next banquet gathering!
Frank Arev: Attended an association event in thr banquet hall portion of location and very pleased with venue, food and AV. My biggest hangup was the fact that there was little on-site parking. I had to park in a residential neighborhood about 3 blocks away with tight streets.4 star rating impacted by the parking and accessibility. Still a very solid 4 star rating.

fran hicks: Where do I start. This venue is an Old German church built in the 1800's. It is incredibly beautiful for any event you would have. We attended the Fever Candlelight event and had a wonderful time. The musicians were incredible!

Amy Corey: I held a THANKSIVING VIP Party at The Cottage and it was the PERFECT intimate setting. It is a "different" space with a set up that worked well. The staff was extremely helpful and I will book that space again for sure!

Katt Hawthorne: My husband Andy and I were married at the Balmoral House in Fishers, IN in September of 2021. We utilized a substantial amount of the event space that Balmoral has to offer--our ceremony was held out at the Pergola, we had cocktail hour down by the bar and on the back patio, dinner upstairs in Eaton Hall, and dancing out on the grand deck. The bridal party expanded into the multi-room ready space upstairs for their preparation; the groom's party gathered down in their basement space for their own suiting up. The wedding party used the Hideaway downstairs for quick breaks and make-up fixes before formal photos. We really expanded to fill the space that was available to us, and felt right at home doing so.Our venue coordinator, Sarah Salinas, as well as all of the Balmoral staff were great to work with. I was in direct contact with Sarah for a lot of the planning and was grateful to her for her endless patience answering a million different questions, many of which were thought of piecemeal and fired off in countless separate emails. She was never anything other than enthusiastic and excited for us; she was a joy to work with.We chose this venue because of the outdoor ceremony space at the pergola, and because of its amenities like ready room spaces, full bar, grand deck, and dinner space. Another venue we looked at was quite disparate in its room arrangement--everything was segmented, and there wasn't much natural flow from one area to the next, which we feared would discourage guests from mingling comfortably. The grounds at Balmoral were also great backdrops for photos. The staff even allowed us to supply the bar with some custom cocktail recipes themed around our event, and set up a canopy near the ceremony site for the bridal party to get staged in prior to the ceremony.Ultimately, what it boils down to is that Balmoral is a gorgeous, people-friendly venue space, staffed by enthusiastic people who did everything in their power to make our wedding day the perfect day that we wanted it to be. We would absolutely recommend the Balmoral House if you're looking for a space for your own big day. It was a completely positive experience from our initial walkthrough until we climbed into our getaway car at the end of the evening. We're pleased that Balmoral will always be part of our wedding day memories.
Hannah Sanders: The moment I toured The Balmoral House I knew I wanted to get married at this venue. I loved the beautiful space and grounds. Everything about this venue was perfect from day one and it was so easy getting ahold of our venue manager(s) throughout the planning process. Sarah was so helpful answering any questions and concerns I had leading up to the wedding. When both my fiancé and I tested positive for Covid two days before the wedding, Sarah and her team were incredibly flexible working with us to find a new date. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and understanding during an incredibly stressful situation.On our wedding day we worked with Jamie and she was so kind and helpful throughout the entire day. I also was so impressed by the service from the bar staff and we got many compliments about the quality of the drinks and service.We had an amazing wedding despite having to reschedule to a Sunday and are so happy with the service from The Balmoral House. I would definitely recommend The Balmoral House to anyone and would for sure use this venue again for a future event!

Isaac Beasley: Beautiful venue, poor business ethic. My now wife and I signed prior to COVID but they did not work with my military restrictions as COVID developed. Their communication was intermittent and three different event specialists managed our portfolio during our time working with them. They raised their prices mid-COVID and told us we would have to pay the new prices if we pushed our event date as I was unable to travel during our initial date. Read the fine print very closely and consider they liberally interpret their Force Majure clause. I can't recommend doing business with these folks—there are plenty of other beautiful venues that are honest.
simon o: The place is beautiful. The person who worked with us was great. Overall we loved the placed and had an amazing wedding. BUT the owner Diana is a old rude elitist. That lady will scoff at you for not paying 3 dollars per water glass. They added several additional fees after we already signed a contract because the contract did not explicitly state the items. Why do tables and clothes have to be well over a thousand dollars?

Erika Bradley: I fell in love with The Balmoral House on day one. The grounds are beautiful inside and out. Though I wished we used outside more or were prompted to use outside more since ultimately you're paying for it all. Our wedding took place as Covid was settling down so we were able to still host a larger indoor ceremony otherwise we were skeptical about the capacity limits and the price being worth it for the venue. The place is just so nice that having 50 people or less than what you imagined is not ideal if all of your loved ones cannot experience the grounds ( I was so worried about this in conjunction with their reschedule, etc policies). I worked with Reid, Ashtin, and Sarah. It was choppy moving from person to person since we had already had our first planning meeting which went great and had to have a second. Second meeting was unprofessional & we were very rushed. It was not all the way satisfactory because a lot that we had talked about in the first meeting was not carried over or even noted. So we had to try and recall details (in a rushed manner) to solidify things. Thought it would be more of a run through and it was just to some extent. Linens were going to be charged at a rate higher than that of the rental company they use until I expressed I would rent my own linens through the actual company and after saying that the price was adjusted so I did end up renting through Balmoral. At the time I just took it for what it was and made sure to go back through my notes, etc and just email with any changes. First meeting coordinator even offered to help with simple small day of tasks, we did not get that the second time around. My mother was not happy but we were in too deep and I just could not get over the grounds. I feel that the employees/owners need to realize people are shoveling loads of money into this venue and the service should always reflect that. For the money being paid some things could come complementary other than tables etc. Including "wedding" with anything, prices seem to increase just because of the word. Paying well over 10k for a wedding it only seems right to include a day of coordinator with experience imo. I used my own which did work well because I couldn't fathom dropping another 1k for a coordinator for one day. Just mentioning because this service would have been appreciated as a wedding venue. The mimosa and fruit bar was delicious at an extra cost of course but not by much. Like many have said theres fees for everything. To come in one hour earlier (since my family has a decor company and I was to be helping and wanted to help) we were told it would be an extra $400 for ONE hour, which I found crazy since no other parties were going to be in the venue anyway. Theres so many events being hosted here on average that the tac on fees unfortunately become ridiculous. One event Im sure pays the mortgage lol 🤷🏽♀️. The Dj was moved a few times which was not ideal because he last ended up outside in the blazing heat where the music could not be heard indoors. Understandable for space reasons at first but all was not done to move him back inside. No music was really heard during the eating part of the reception which was kinda alright because of the chatter anyways. I had 24 people in my bridal party and they were given plenty of space in Eaton Hall to stand after organizing everybody during rehearsal. Bridal suite was perfect for getting ready and was stocked with feminine products etc. Shower is like a water fountain, but does get very hot and gets the job done. Couldn't ask for better bar staff. Vendors were GREAT, I used MBP Catering and Complete Weddings + Events for videography and photobooth. The top tier of our wedding cake was forgot about but Balmoral made sure to get it to us at the end of the night. Again the grounds both inside and out are amazing. Balmoral was more my taste compared to other venues and local for us. Overall, it was beautiful, everyone enjoyed themselves, the day of was amazing and I am glad to have had my wedding at Balmoral! The A/V services were great, being very flexible to some of our last-minute requests. The food was amazing and the decor was outstanding!!!!
The Indiana Roof Ballroom is by far my favorite venue in the city to plan events at! Jeff and Antonia are fantastic to work with and I never have to worry about a single thing when my event is at the IRB!!
While Kile put in most of the leg work with us, we saw the entire team, Kile, Jeff, and Antonia, during every meeting. They made us feel like we were the only wedding they were planning for! The planning was stress free!! The day of service was impeccable. From the second we arrived, they made us feel like royalty. They took care of the bridal party and made sure we had everything we could ever want. They made sure the rest of the guests were taken care of with A+ service as well- we've received so many compliments about the service! The venue is definitely the prettiest one in Indianapolis.
We used the IRB for my daughter's wedding, and we had an absolutely wonderful experience. Kile did a great job assisting us on the sales side, Craig and our security person did a great job assisting on the day of the wedding, and Jeff, our wedding planner, just knocked it out of the park!! He was absolutely fantastic!! Met all of our needs before we even knew we had them. We had the very best experience ever!!
I had my reception at The Roof and it was beyond my wildest dreams. The second we got there they were there by my side the whole night to make sure that everything was moving along smoothly, that everyone knew where they needed to be and when, and they made everything perfect. I was blown away the first time I actually stepped into the ballroom because it was so gorgeous. Just absolutely perfect and the staff there are true wedding experts and professionals. If anything went wrong I never knew about it because they took care of it!
We had a great experience and received a lot of positive feedback from our event guests. We're looking forward to coming back again in 2017!
We had an absolute blast and an unforgettable evening! Most importantly, our friends and family have not stopped talking about how amazingly beautiful the ballroom was and the spectacular service they received while being there. Dr. William Starsiak: I competed in a ballroom dance competition to raise money for Riley Children's Hospital, and this was the venue. It was perfect. Beautiful ambiance, great bar, very convenient to get ready next door in the embassy suites which is directly attached. So no need to go outside. Excellent location for a wedding for the same reasons, your guests can stay and embassy suites and walk right over to the ballroom. It has a sort of Italian filled with the design around the circumference of the roughly circular ballroom.

The carnitas in the taco bar were some of the best I've ever had, and I'm from Texas. The mashed potato bar was fun too. Great appetizers and desserts... just a fantastic place if you're throwing a really nice event.

Susan Toth: Just received a call from Maggiano's to confirm our reservation for Easter Sunday. A reservation we made 6 weeks ago. They decided to tell us at this time that they had a special Easter only menu. This is a three course meal and is $41.95 per person. #1 this was never told to us at the time we made the reservation #2 last year we had our Easter dinner reservation at Maggiano's for the same amount of people and ordered off the menu. Thank you Maggiano's for the poor communication in changes and blowing our budget out of the water. Leaving us no other choice, trying to find another location for a group of 10 at a particular time 5 days before Easter

Granted there’s different versions of Italian and what is actually Italian but considering the ambience, portions and taste we love our visit anytime we go there. The food is always delicious and service quick and efficient. There’s a variety of options on the menu catering to different needs of the audience but our ever favorite is zucchini fries which is deliciously crusted with bread crumbs and definitely drool worthy. Bread with olive oil is on the house and definitely makes up for any wait time.
