Tinker Street Restaurant: what do users think?
Amelia Knopf: I hadn’t been to Tinker Street since The Before Times. It was every bit as magical as I remember. I don’t take food photos so you’re left to your own devices to imagine perfection. Went with friends, ate a metric ton, and everything was perfect. The fan favorites included: fried Korean mushrooms, pork something or other, pea risotto, ricotta donuts, and the bartender. Bartender was clutch.
Robin Thoman: We've enjoyed the restaurant many times before, often with friends. Each visit has been enjoyable and the food delectable. This B-Day visit was no different.I was disappointed and surprised to see an extra surcharge of 4% for back of house gratuity added. I deducted that forced gratuity from my typical 20% tip. As this is not customary in Indianapolis, it would be best to make every patron aware when reservations are made. This is the ONLY restaurant I've been charged this premium. If the "house" can't pay their kitchen team adequately from their gross receipts, they should charge more for the menu items. You might call me naive but our $220 dinner/$50 entrees (less tip) should easily afford the excellent back of the house team. Owners savings on the site, parking, the interior finish and screened pati dining should leave plenty of gross income after fair pay.
Ryan Crossley: Our service was not good at all and the food was SO MEDIOCRE. To start we asked to sit on the patio by the windows, but they sat us in the middle area even though no one was there. I had to ask our server the off menu specials which I shouldn't have to do. Tinker street is known for their off menu specials, and every table she served I heard the table ask as well.I ordered the mushroom hot pot, it tasted like hot water. No flavor at all. I added mushrooms to mine and they were 18 dollars extra. I wish my server would have told me because it was shocking when I got the billMy boyfriend got the pizza which had a really flavorful sauce but that was the only pro. He also got mushrooms added to the pizza because it was jusg cheese. Again 18 dollar charge.I got a spicy marg it was very good.I told my server it would have been nice if she would have told us the mushrooms added to the meal would have cost us 36 dollars.I was so disappointed with this place because I have heard nothing but great things. I will not be going back and I will never recommend anyone to go.

Nichole Kirk: Enjoyed a birthday dinner here with some friends. Everything was absolutely incredible! We ordered several appetizers, a bottle of wine, an entree for each of us, and dessert. The mushroom pierogis and the Korean fried mushrooms were my favorite apps from the night. I ordered a duck Parmesan, which was the special for the night. All of the food was phenomenal and the staff was lovely. Highly recommend Tinker Street for any special occasion, or just because you like amazing food!
Brock Holst: Our favorite place for special occasions or with special friends. Excellent wine list and large plate options have never disappointed us or our guests! The Gouper was outstanding.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

Meghan Loughren: This is the perfect spot for a cozy, intimate vibe. I’ve never had bad service here. I’ve never had a poorly cooked or seasoned meal here. Their fish dishes are next level.

Melissa Dorsey: Always enjoy coming here. Love that the menu changes with new seasonal dishes. Great drinks.Recommended dishes Cheese & Charcuterie …More
Tolga Ercan: Always a five star experience. Food is excellent, drinks are great, service is prompt and friendly, atmosphere is cozy but comfortable. One of our favorite non-chain restaurants for a date night. This time we had the miso oysters, which are amazing! I then had the shrimp curry shellfish dish. It was more like a clam and mussel curry stew. I wasn't expecting that at all. I thought it would be more like a seafood curry dish with a thicker sauce. But I love steamed mussels so this was a good surprise. It was delicious. For dessert, if you have never tried it, try the donuts. You get 4 good sized donut holes and a very coffee tasting espresso sorbet on the side with chocolate sauce drizzled on the plate. The donuts are made in house and are possibly the best you will ever have. You really can't go wrong with it!One thing that I wasn't too excited about was the Pomelo cocktail. It was way too sweet. It is supposed to be a grapefruit vodka based cocktail but I could barely taste the bitterness of grapefruit from the sweetness. I still finished it because it tasted good but it just was not what I was prepared for at all. I feel like that needs to be made much less sweet or a warning put next to the description. :)

Oakleys Bistro: what do users think?
Zachary Gardenhire: We went for lunch and it was great. The menu had several good options, and the service was good. The price was only slightly more than fast food now charges, and the quality was immeasurably better. Great lunch option.
Tasha Fierce: Wow. I didn't know Indianapolis had a restaurant with delicious food until I tried this place. Everything was superb and I got it to go.Food: 5/5 …More
Charles Perkins: Amazing 👏
Bill Crouch: Honestly, I have the opportunity to eat all over the country and I felt the service to be slow and the food to be average with a menu not geared for those who don’t have a broad palette. When I have to hunt down the server more than once, that is a major issue at that price point. The manager was obviously just going through the motions, looked over at us but never engaged in a meaningful way. I’d keep looking if you are a foodie that likes stellar service.
Jason Mazza: Always delivers. Great food and solid atmosphere!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Nicki Rough: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Shrimp Corndog, Lobster WaffleMore
Julie Whitman: Food was incredible, service was extremely attentive, lovely atmosphere. Went for lunch and I had the roasted butternut squash soup and the brussel sprout Caesar salad, and chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was so delicious. Quality ingredients and a true chef's touch with the flavors and textures. I would definitely come back here.Vegetarian options: Great veggie optionsParking: Big parking lot
Josh Scism: This used to be the premiere gourmand restaurant in Indy. We’ve gone for years and years but lately the service and quality have fallen off. We had a terrible experience last visit culminating with a walk out. When chatting with other foodie friends since, they echo our poor experience. Fairly pricey and menu not updated for quite some time which is also a bad sign for this once great restaurant.
Nakul Valsangkar: AmazIng as usual. Delivered yet again. Never been disappointed in the 10+ times we have been here.Recommended dishes Shrimp Corndog, Foie Gras Mousse …More
Jon Happe: The food was fantastic. The duck was great and my wife said the risotto was the best she has ever had. We’ll definitely be back!

Jessica Wilkerson: The experience at Oakleys was very "meh". Overall I definitely feel like it wasn't worth the money. Waste of $200 in our opinion. There are too many other good options in Indy to waste a night out here. The service was good. Our server was sweet and attentive, but the food was not impressive in the slightest. My husband and I felt that our entrees did not make sense. They just were very odd mixtures of items and we didn't feel like they meshed well. We also felt the food was bland and didn't have great flavor.Overall, the food was very lackluster, and the presentation was odd. Very expensive for the quality. We won't be returning.
David Mitchell: Very good highly recommend the cream bruleeFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chocolate Whiskey Cake, Shrimp Corndog …More
Brian Shapiro: Best chef in Indy
Eric Phillips: If this place was in LA or New York, you would gladly pay 3x the price. This is an amazing hidden gem. 5 Star!
shanna modisette: The shrimp corn dog is incredible. Love the entire menu. Can't go wrong with anything.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Blaise Truesdell: I was really looking forward to this place based on how good the reviews are. Food looked amazing but tasted pretty mediocre. Heavily salted but little actual flavor. I am fairly certain that I got food poisoning from the cocktail with an egg white in it.We were incredibly disappointed especially considering how expensive it was.Dietary restrictions: Very few actually gluten free options.
Suzanne Hertl: A very mediocre dinner and dining experience. Food was expensive, over salted and over dressed. The server had very little Intel on GF and non- alcoholic options - also failed to mention that the Strip Steak special was over $50 (well over the top listed entree on the menu) - we are new in town and was excited to try somewhere new- but then disappointed
Lori Wanko: Venue is more understated than the food quality, which is well above average. Their cocktail list is impressiveFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
