Sydney Dickerson: I purchased my wedding dress at Retulled Boutique a few days ago. I love the dress and I feel like I got a good deal — $750 for a dress that is originally $1500. I'm so happy that as a lower budget bride that I was still able to get a high quality dress! I'm grateful to Retulled for offering this clever and budget-friendly service.At the same time, I wasn't happy with the appointment experience overall. My group and I arrived a couple minutes early from out of town, and several of us needed to use the bathroom. There is only one room for trying on dresses, and the only bathroom is in this room. Someone else was finishing up their appointment, and we were told to walk through their room to use the bathroom. I felt really bad doing this, as I literally had to walk through a bride trying on dresses with her family, but I didn't have a choice. If I had been that bride, I would have been really bothered by the interruption of such a special moment. I understand that Retulled is limited by the layout of their building, but maybe using a different room for appointments or not scheduling appointments so close together would help with this.I also didn't realize that I only had 1 hour for my appoointment, which really didn't feel like enough time, especially when making a decision as big as this. After being told we only had an hour, we felt very rushed. It would have been nice to have up to 2 hours so that I could browse and try on as many dresses as needed until I found the right one. Or perhaps if photos of all of the dresses were posted online, I could have made more use of my time by picking out those I'd like to try on in advance. If I had known I only had one hour, I think I would have looked elsewhere.Finally, our attendant, while kind, often felt impatient, which made me feel even more rushed. For example, my mother in law wanted to take a picture of me holding my chosen dress up next to family members, and the attendant seemed a little irritated/impatient because she wanted to get the dress bagged. She also seemed a bit impatient with me wanting to try on additionally dresses after the first couple of rounds. I understand the time constraint, but this was not an experience that I wanted to feel rushed.All in all, I'm really grateful for the dress and the relatively affordable price, but I really expected a better experience. More than an hour to decide on a dress, a little more patience with me and my family members, and perhaps some complementary water to drink. I'd recommend Retulled for the price point but not for the experience of trying on dresses with your loved ones.
Miranda Cotton: If you're shopping for a dress on a budget and wanting something outside of today's trends and you live in the Central Indiana region - then you absolutely must visit Retulled Boutique!Even though we arrived at Retulled a half hour early for my appointment I got personal attention from Amy who knew her stuff and was able to show me what the dress I liked could be after some alterations - that solidified it being the one. I didn't look at the price tag on my dress until after I knew it was the one and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was only $100!She also gave suggestions for accessories and how I could do my hair to make those accessories work. And when I talked about looking for a veil that was similar in style to the one my mother wore at her wedding, she suggested that I could send her a picture of the veil and she would take a look at her vintage veils and see what she could find.I sent her the picture this evening after getting home and when I mentioned it looked a little different than I remembered and was worried that it wouldn't match the style of my dress, she said that she would see what she could find that both matched the style of my dress and kept the feeling of what my mom wore at hers. The fact that Amy remembered me and the dress I had picked out was very touching to me. I drove down from Lafayette and I am absolutely glad that I made the trip. If you're wanting that personal touch you absolutely must visit Amy and her staff.
Natalie Hollensead: VERY pleased with my experience at Retulled. Amy was beyond helpful and patient during my appointment and was very accommodating. Dresses were all beautiful and it was fun having a fun variety to try. I would highly recommend Retulled to future brides to be. It is a smaller shop with limited seating but they've done a great job with the space they have and they made my dress shopping experience a happy one I'm thankful to have!

I really appreciated the friendly atmosphere of this place, the low prices, and how easy the people were to work with. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and desires. They didn't insist on being in the dressing room with my daughter, nor did they make her nervous by impatiently hanging over her shoulder. They were more than helpful and very knowledgeable when we asked for help but didn't push or insist on anything. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for great deals and a comfortable atmosphere.
Lizzie Riley: While I did not get my wedding dress here, they have a large and wonderful selection! The women there are so kind and knowledgeable! After having a negative experience at David’s Bridal, these ladies turned my day around for the better!!

Cari Morales: The staff at Retulled are absolutely INCREDIBLE. To be completely honest, this store wasn’t even in my radar until my sister messaged me about it and, boy, am I glad she did! They have a GREAT selection with extremely affordable prices. Some dresses still had tags on them! I bought my dress for $250, and had it altered by a friend who also added a few flowers to it. They made me and my family feel so comfortable and at ease offering all sort of recommendations. I came with my mother, two sister and niece and nephew. We had a ball! I walked out with a heart filled with joy. If you’re a bride looking for a dress, make sure to stop by here during your journey! They also have gowns for the wedding parties and the flower girl.

Redd Lovely1: I found my dress at Retulled after having a horrible failed appointment at DB. I needed a beach wedding dress and they kept bringing out these heavy fabrics and completely unflattering dresses. My girls and I went to Retulled and the dress I bought was the one Amy suggested! It didn’t fit perfectly, but she told me The Sewing Lady could help with that! And they did! Several months later I called Amy in a panic because the accessories I bought did NOT go with my dress. She calmed me down, told me not to freak out and scheduled an appointment. Once I arrived and put my dress on, she brought out several veils and pieces of jewelry. We tried different combinations until my look was perfected. I added the hair piece after deciding how I was going to wear my hair.I am now looking to consign some bridal items and wouldn’t go anyplace else.Amy delivered and then some. I truly thank you!

The dress selection was broad, but not so much that it was overwhelming, and there were vintage dresses, too. Amy was truly lovely during our appointment. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and fun. The prices were truly excellent: my fiancee and I got both our dresses and veils for about $700 total. If anyone has doubts about purchasing a gently-loved gown--don't. The dresses and veils are in pristine condition and shopping at Retulled saved us literally thousands of dollars. I would absolutely recommend it!!

Laura Whitley: I had looked everywhere for a decent priced dress for my wedding. I found this perfect fit and style beauty. They have a lot to choose from and the price was triple the price less. The details on back were unlike any I had seen before. Staff was very helpful.
Stephanie Ritter: This is a very nice place to shop! You can get gorgeous gowns here for really cheap. The gowns don't look cheap and probably the owner could get a lot more for them. The gowns are in good condition. My daughter got a beautiful white prom gown with beautiful diamond sequins on the front for about $250. This is definitely a place to visit for prom dresses.

Everything I asked for was done and it is my absolute dream dress and I cannot wait to wear it on my big day! I cannot stress enough how amazing and stress free my experience has been. Mia Criswell: I did not have a good experience here. I paid an expensive price for my alterations. Seamstress was pushy and quite frankly rude. As far as how the alterations turned out: the hem of my dress was done ok, and taking it in was done very very well, however; 10 minutes into my reception my bustle broke and I had to have my long train down the entire reception, very frustrating. You can find someplace better for sure.
Amanda Hlava: I found THE dress for my 2022 wedding at The Perfect Stitch. I can not recommend this place enough! My dress was perfect and the shopping experience there was so relaxed and fun! I also had my dress altered here and the fit was perfect. The ladies who work there are so kind and helpful in meeting our needs. Prices here are amazing and there is always a sale happening! I have recommended this place to other brides and they have had such amazing things to say about their experience too. Danielle Jackson: I visited this bridal shop about a week or so ago and the woman who was there was extremely unhelpful. I really hope this wasnt the owner but it likely was. I called before I came as I saw a 3D flower gown online. I kept asking her questions to try and get some sort of help while there but every answer was very dry and unhelpful. I am a black woman with nice sized hips and butt so when I tried to tell her the size I needed she was still unhelpful and extremely passive aggressive. I have been in a very tight spot with trying to find a gown and being I do not usually wear any type of dresses I didnt understand this process, she was rude and her energy came off like "you should know this and stop asking me questions". If you are a black woman stay away from this place, you are not welcome here!! There was no other reason her demeanor toward me should have been so cold toward me, outside of her having a problem with serving me. I would've bought at least 2 dresses that day from that store but I just ended up walking out. I ended up finding 2 beautiful gowns about 15 mins away from this shop on the same day! She should treat people better, you never know what someone is going through especially while trying to find a wedding gown

They didn't pressure me into a more expensive or lavish dress than what I wanted, and they worked with my style while also giving me expert suggestions about what would go well with the dress I picked out. After finding the perfect simple dress, they suggested I try a long veil with it which turned out beautifully! My husband loved it and our photographer was thrilled about being able to take some fun veil shots. I love this shop and I highly recommend it to any future brides in the area!!
Annette Oneil: I am a seamstress and actually teach sewing classes I recently was brought a bridal dress from the perfect stitch the bride to be in tears she paid a lot of money for the dress and according to her it was not what she wanted you refused to fix it saying you could not fix it when actually you made the dress You make your clients pay in full before making there dress refuse to remake it when it turns out wrong I ripped it apart and I am having no trouble recreating it into a beautiful wedding dress that she loves it only took a couple of days I understand some people are hard to please she is not one of those people Quit talking advantage of people If you actually make the dress Evan if you didn’t it is not hard to recreate it shame on you warning to everyone wanting a wedding dress only pay half the money upfront the rest on pick up this is a total shame on the perfect stitch No stars is my rating
Holly Weddle: I found her by chance on a Google search and it was the best thing I could have found! If you want unique beautiful dresses and someone to help you with a professional option and alterations you need all in one. This is the place to go. She is so sweet and makes you feel welcome and you get reminded that wedding dress shopping is fun! I wish I could recommend to anyone getting married! Truly a hidden gem.

We had a great time at Luxe Redux! I worked with Matt, who did a great job of pulling dresses based on my preferences (even when I felt like my preferences were out there sometimes!). The shop is pretty inside and the inventory was better/more interesting than the full price shops I went to. I also love seeing the diversity and representation of brides, couples, models, and staff of different races, genders, and sexualities on their social media. It made me happy to purchase from a place aligned with my values. I was planning to spend full price on a dress, but I'm glad I decided to shop at the stores with the highest reviews, which led me to Luxe Redux and a 40% discount on a designer dress that has never been worn by a bride!
I cannot recommend Luxe Redux enough! I worked with Maya and Kelsey and I cannot say enough good things about them! When I got there, I was so nervous and completely lost at where to begin. The girls listened to all of my opinions and managed to find my dream dress for me in the first two I tried on! We kept trying other styles to narrow down what I wanted and I ended up going back to the one I kept comparing the other dresses to. As soon as I saw myself in the veil, I was immediately in tears and I felt genuine happiness from Kelsey and Maya for me which I was so thankful for. I truly felt like they were rooting for me and were putting my confidence and comfortability first. I had no expectations for finding a dress or what I was in for and when my party left, we grabbed lunch and continued to rave about how amazing our experience was! I would recommend Luxe Redux to ANY and ALL brides that are just starting out and have no idea where to begin!!! They made my appointment the most special experience possible and I walked out that day with my dress!!!! I am so thankful for the staff and the salon!!!

Ali Pugh: Do not shy away from the small storefront! Our experience was AMAZING. Lorelei was our consultant and made me feel so comfortable and welcome the second we walked through the door. She walked us through the process of how she picks dresses for each bride to try on, which was very cool to learn about. She truly listened to every single detail I liked in each dress I tried on. The last dress I tried on,my people with me gasped, it was the perfect combo of everything I loved! We knew it was the one, she picked out beautiful accessories that went with the dress as well. I was concerned that we had another appointment later that day that I didn’t want to pay the cancellation fee for and they said they would cover it. It was the first and last place I will ever shop for a wedding gown and the experience from start to finish was nothing but a dream. Thank you Luxe and thank you Lorelei!!

She pulled a great variety of dresses for me and changed it up while I narrowed down what I liked. I never felt rushed or anything—it was truly fantastic and I can’t recommend Bridal Rack enough. Amy Winchester: It was the best experience I could’ve hoped for! I was very nervous about not having plus size options that would meet my wants and needs without making me look frumpy. That was far from the case. I had so many options to try! Audrey really listened to my ideas and concerns and was able to gently encourage me to try on styles that I hadn’t considered to really get an idea of what all of my options were. She also helped style each gown with accessories or modifications to make sure each dress met my want of having my arms covered. I was allowed to spend time in each gown and really see if I could move and sit in it comfortably. I never felt rushed or hurried. I was so fortunate that the 4th dress I tried was my absolute dream dress! We also loved how intimate the experience was with only one other fitting happening at the same time. It felt great encouraging another bride and having the support of their family too. I also love that my gown was in my budget and I didn’t have to make a hard decision to go over budget or feel pressured to spend more than I was comfortable. I really hope every bride gets to feel this way about their dress experience and I will never stop recommending Bridal Rack to other brides. Thank you so much!

Literally blocked the entry to the store and we couldn’t even look at dresses at all . After a last chance to find the color I had envisioned for my bridesmaids, I found that Nancy's had the dress line that I thought would work. We drove 2 hours over the weekend for our scheduled bridesmaids appointment. Even though the store was busy everyone was super inviting and kind.I told the women who was helping us the brand of dresses we were looking for, she pulled them all out for us so we didn't have to spend time looking for them individually. They made the time fun and warm, measurements were quick. The whole experience was just wonderful!!

Sydney Brock: Do NOT get your alterations done here. The dress was perfect, little over priced. The staff, amazing.The alterations were terrible. When I tried it on afterwards, sooo tight, she suggested that I must have gained weight. She charged $1,400 for the length, cups added and strap adjustment.My wedding dress straps ended up breaking during the ceremony.I should’ve looked at the reviews before coming here.I will be sure to upload the receipt on my alterations because I know that they’ll come back and say it was cheaper!

Grace Pretti: Went to this place for bridesmaid dresses and I highly suggest a different place. We had no help at all, which I understand we are not brides, but there were workers just sitting down. We got showed where the dresses were and that was the last we saw of the ladies. On top of that, the dresses were not organized. They were hardly organized by color, notorganized by size or anything, they were just thrown in wherever. After going to different stores, this one was one of the worst. After working at a dress store myself, this place was just overall a mess, unorganized and with no help.
Baylee Johnson: I had a very specific vision of my wedding dress, and Nancy's had the most dresses available to fit this vision out of the 4 Indy bridal stores I visited. Their in-house alterations have been an absolute breeze, I have been for four fittings and the price stayed the same from the very first quote. They store your dress for free for as long as you need them to. Everything surrounding my dress has been so stress free and I cannot recommend them enough!

Molly Williams: Scheduled an appointment to look at a specific dress with that information noted in the booking. Dress brand, style, and color were all listed. Despite having my email and my phone number, no one contacted me to tell me the dress I was specifically looking for was sold out. I drove an hour round trip (on my day off!) to experience poor customer service in person. Absolutely will not be back.
Angie Leimer: My sister-in-law and I were looking forward to going to Nancy's Bridal Boutique. Upon entering the establishment, the decor was great. However, the consultant did not greet us when we came into the establishment, and we didn't even get her name. The general response to us being at Nancy's was lukewarm at best. The consultant was pinning dresses to my sister-in-law. The pins were poking my sister-in-law and irritating her skin. It took my sister-in-law and myself saying something in rider for the consultant to use clamps even though my sister-in-law said numerous times that the pins were bothering her. The consultant failed to provide dresses that catered to my sister-in-law's general style in shape. The dresses suggested by the consultant made my sister-in-law look less than stellar. Definitely not size inclusive. I would not recommend shopping here for a bridal dress. Given the prices and decor I would have thought that Nancy's would be more customer focused.

I originally wrote this place as #1 on the list to check out, but I decided to start with David’s bridal and work my way up and I’m so happy that I did, because from the moment I walked in I felt like I was treated like a queen. The lighting, the atmosphere, all the ladies, and the way everybody was dressed was just so elegant. It just felt like a royal place. It felt very inviting and comfortable!I was helped by Kim, she was hands-down, THE BEST. She sat down with me, and we just basically had a girl chat, and she got to know me without making it feel awkward, she asked about my wedding, she REALLLY genuinely cared. she didn’t just get paid to sell me a dress! She got to really know who I was with being in the Military, wearing Camo/green everyday you lose sense of all girlyness and Kim helped bring out a side of me that I have missed. We found my dream dress. In the end she’s the kind of girl that I want to contact in the future. Out of the stressful 9 hours of dress shopping, She was seriously the highlight of my day! I’m so happy that she was the person to help me through this. She made me feel beautiful, confident, and so special. I am definitely adding her to a page in my scrapbook ❤️

I made the 40 minute drive up and while I was there I tried on other dresses and came across my absolute dream dress, not the one from before but I knew this was THE ONE. I worked with Maria and she was wonderful. Very professional and she made the whole process very easy and enjoyable. Kylie Amick: I have been to Marie Gabriel in the past as my friends have purchased their gowns from the store, it was a nice experience. However, I recently visited to shop for myself. My consultant had a great deal of work ahead of her as I was unsure my desired style. She was patient enough with me and eventually put me in a dress that was a good fit. Only after telling me I had expensive taste and bringing in a dress that was nearly $1000 over my stated budget. Long story short, I was put in a high-pressure situation and told I had to buy that day in order to receive a small discount. I let my consultant know I had one more appointment after I left Marie Gabriel’s, she informed me that I would find nothing like what I had just tried on at the specific store I was visiting next. I’m extremely glad I went to my last appointment and did not give MG or the consultant my business. I found a gown in a similar style, within my price point, and felt 0% pressure.Word of advice for future shoppers, do your due diligence and shop around; don’t be afraid to say no to the high pressure tactics at this store.

I asked for a mermaid dress, she was trying to give recommendations but she proceeds to say... "she has nothing there, nothing at all" multiple times and as I walk away she says "tiny very tiny". I don't care if you are big or small you should never comment on a persons body so negatively.There are plenty of people who are way more body conscious than me and that comment would have broken them. Luckily I know what my body looks like and I absolutely love it but I still think it was unprofessional the tone it was said in and the emphasis accompanied with that tone.

Coach Darcy: I went to Brides by Young, not for my wedding dress but another special dress. ( but I was treated as if it WAS my special day)I had no idea what I wanted when I went in. They did an amazing job getting an idea of what my style could be, they brought me dresses that would go great with my skin tone and body shape. Needless to say, we found the perfect style dress to make me feel not only amazing but comfortable. They have so many beautiful dresses it was hard to pick just one. Thank you to the staff in going out of the way, to make the afternoon special for me, while finding the perfect dress.

Ashley McKay: I had an amazing experience finding my dream dress for my Vegas wedding. After looking other places and not finding what I wanted, I came in and found great luck trying on styles I did not realize would flatter my large bust so well. Emmeline was so helpful and explained why certain styles looked good on me. I would definitely recommend this place for curvy brides!!!

Ms. Panda Honest and Fair Reviews: First of all Haley was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLUS SIZE BRIDES PLEASE READAs a plus size girl sometimes being at a crowded dress store trying on dresses with a consultant who really doesn't care can be very intimidating. Brides by Young is NOT that place. Their intimate setting is a perfect set up for complete comfort and care. Put all those nerves aside because once you arrive you will be treated like a sister instead of a customer. From the beginning to the end I had a blast. I was greeted with such professionalism but once we started trying on dresses I felt like I was in the dressing room with my best friend. She listened to what my likes and dislikes were and instead of me searching through their massive inventory she was able to find my dream dress. The bridal consultants are very knowledgeable and experienced. If you are on the fence then look no further because this is the place for you. Thank you team for helping me. I can't wait to dazzle my friends and family as I strut my stuff down the aisle in June.

Baylee was an excellent consultant (truly can’t say enough good things about her) - she listened to everything I said and knew just how to push me to try things that I ended up loving! The appointment was efficient but I never felt rushed, and Baylee made the whole process fun and exciting. I also appreciate the inclusive sizing and wide range of price points, there really is something for every bride here!
Joanie Dugan: I didn’t have a great time here. It was great being able to try on dresses in my size, but I did not feel like my stylist listened to my likes/dislikes, and there was a lot of pressure to buy a $3000 dress I wasn’t even happy with when my appointment finally ended (the stylist even said it was my dream dress - far from the truth lmao). I was in tears by the end of my appointment because I was so done with trying on dresses but they continued to try and push the sale. I told them I would not be deciding right then and there and would need to think about it. They even texted me after saying I needed to make the purchase that day if I wanted this dress. After saying I was not interested, I was texted again over the next few weeks asking to schedule another appointment. It was just too much for me and uncomfortable all around.Update - I just received a call from them asking about this review. Please take reviews for what they are. There is literally no reason to call me about it. It’s not my job to provide you with ways to train your staff. My review is meant to help other brides know what they are possibly going into when scheduling an appointment here. Please do not feel like you need to get a gown here because of your size. I ended up finding the perfect dress somewhere else and with way less stress.
Taylor Stockton: Everyone was so amazing and I felt so at ease here. I felt beautiful in every dress they pulled and Haley helped me say YES to my dress. The whole process from start to finish only took an hour and a half.
Rebecca Schuster: They have gorgeous dresses and I was so glad everything I tried on was gorgeous and fit. I was excited to find a dress that would actually fit me and look great. My experience I feel was because of the stylist I had. They did not listen when I said I did not want a low back. They lied to me about how low the back actually was on me, it wasn’t until later that I realized in pictures how low it actually was. When I walked back to the dressing room my mother in law tried to say it was low and they told her “shhhh!”. They were trying to lie to me to get the sale. The lady was incredibly pushy. I told her I needed A WEEK to make up my mind and she called and texted me in the same day wanting to know if I made up my mind. She was shocked that I wanted to talk to my group before I got rang up (probably because they were going to tell me that I did not seem sure). Be careful about actually buying a dress while under so much pressure from these people. The sales people will try their best to convince you to buy it.
Jody Hood: Best experience ever. Bailey was amazing and made sure I picked a dress that made me feel beautiful and like myself. Meeting young was also a highlight I can’t wait to wear my dress on my big day.
Emily Steves: I, a plus size woman, was so nervous about shopping for a wedding dress. Any other plus size women will feel my pain... I did my research and insisted on going to a bridal shop that celebrated women my size. The experience was fabulous from start to finish. The ladies at the shop were so helpful and know how to treat a person who may be self conscious about their entire appearance. Kate was my consultant. She was fabulous, and I can't thank her enough for making my experience perfect. I found my dress, and surprisingly it was nothing like I thought I'd leave with. Kate knows her stuff ;) Since women my size don't have a ton of options, I was expecting to pay thousands upon thousands for a decent dress (guess I watch a little too much "Say Yes to the Dress"..) Their most expensive dress was $3500, which was a sigh of relief. I felt so relieved that it was a lot less than expected and I could have free range on whatever I chose. I can't wait to write another review 9 months from now showing it off 💜 .. If you're a plus size woman and you're nervous about this process I most definently suggest coming here. You won't regret it. Almost all of their stock dresses were bigger than me and I wear a 24! Soooo don't be nervous it'll be like the times they have to manouver a big woman in a tiny dress. Once again, head here! Their selection is incredible and I don't think the price can be beat for the type of quality you're getting! If you're reading this, congrats on getting engaged!!!

She asked questions and listened to my random descriptions of elements I liked. She grabbed some dresses and off we went. The fitting room was massive and left plenty of space for me, her, and the dresses. They provided the most supportive strapless bras making you feel secure and confident. She made getting in and out of each dress a breeze. Their clips are strong and hold the dress perfectly in place.EVERY dress Lauren picked- and I mean every single one was gorgeous. She brought every element I was wanting together like it was magic. The variety of dresses is incredible- and being able to actually try on any stock was a relief I didn't have at other appointments. Their dresses top out price point at 3k so you're not doing to drop a house down-payment on a dress. The dresses are incredible quality and look amazing.Lauren was the best consultant you could ask for. Knowledgeable, fun, kind and patient. We never felt rushed or pressured. We were the only appointment and the sole focus. She provided knowledgeable feedback when asked and was never pushy. After a long day with 2 other appointments I was worried about finding a dress I truly loved: here.... there were so many options. I was torn between two and Lauren let me try on each multiple times. I live out of state and they are even shipping the dress to me- which is a relief. Bailey Perry: I cannot say enough good things about Brides by Young, and especially Lauren, my bridal consultant during the appointment. Truly, from start to finish it was an amazing experience- Lauren was friendly and warm, joking with us and making it just such a fun appointment. She took details from my vision and pulled some gorgeous gowns- the best part being that they had a wide range of sample sizes to try on. They had my Pinterest ‘dream dress’ in stock as well, but Lauren pulled a fit and flare dress that fit like a dream and blew my little A-line Pinterest dress out of the water. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with curves, of all sizes. I was apprehensive about wedding dress shopping, but Brides by Young goes out of their way to be size inclusive and make it such a positive experience— their consultants, or at least Lauren whom I can speak to first hand, know how to dress different body types and make you feel impeccable on your big day.

Alyssa Moore: This was my third stop searching for “the dress”. Baylee was my consultant at the Indianapolis store. My dress is perfect and I feel like a princess in it. Baylee did a great job. She found me my dress and in my budget. The appointment was definitely kept to 1.5hours and we only tried about 6 dresses, which I was ok with as it was my third place trying on dresses. However, I have loved searching for my wedding dress and had this been my 1st or second stop I’d probably say it was rushed. However, this store has the “Kleinfield” “Say Yes to the Dress” experience but for plus size brides who are never made to feel like anything less than perfect. Accessories are definitely pricy. 10/10 would recommend!

Kaitlyn Myetich: We got married in September of this year and I knew very early on in our wedding planning I wanted to have a custom suit made, as being a masculine presenting woman it’s hard to find suits that either don’t fit because they’re “men’s” fits, or they’re too feminine. Being in the Midwest, that’s easier said than done. After asking some other queer folks who they recommend, I stumbled upon The House of Breton’s social media and I knew that’s who I wanted to make my suit. Lei was extremely communicative during the entire process and made my dream suit stitch by stitch. Every aspect of my suit from the buttons to the lining was customized. Not only did it look great, but it was so comfortable and I felt so confident wearing it during the most important day of my life. Alyssa Crawford: I had Lei make me a traditional with a twist wedding dress. I knew going in I wanted something that unmistakably a wedding dress, but also had some purple. From there, Lei and I figured out the details together. More than anything else, Lei wants people to simultaneously look like themselves and absolutely love how they look. They therefore are focused on facilitating the client figure out what they want, and making that happen rather than dictating. After seeing a little bit of the process, my MIL decided to get a custom outfit made as well for her to wear to the wedding. She started self conscious and usure what she wanted, and Lei worked with her to create something she loved.My dress came out stunning and perfect. Several people commented how amazing it looked, and more importantly my husband and I loved it. It also somehow was very heavy, and comfortable. Since it was designed for me, the weight was distributedBeyond being an incredible dress designer, Lei is a very supportive, amusing, and overall good person.
Megan Frisina: There is not enough time in the day to express my gratitude to Leila. From day one, they were welcoming, collaborative, and knowledgeable. We worked together to create something that was so true to me. And Leila brought it to life. One thing I didn’t realize throughout the process is how seemingly tiny changes can make such a huge difference, whether it’s making a sleeve a half inch longer or pulling a seam in a centimeter. Throughout all of the minute changes Leila never made me feel like I was asking too much. No change was unimportant, and they were affirming throughout the entire process, truly caring as much as I did about getting it perfect. Getting a custom piece was the best decision I made, aside from the decision to marry the love of my life in it! Seriously, the suit was a close second
Randee Hitzfield: Couldn’t recommend Curvy Custom Bride more! She saved my dress. I had originally taken my dress to a different seamstress due to a recommendation from the store and I totally regretted it. Curvy Custom Bride saved the day! She helped fix my dress basically as soon as I called her and explained what happened. I had to have it done ASAP because it was 5 days until my wedding! Scary, right? The other seamstress had my dress for 10 months while Curvy Custom Bride met with me and fixed my dress in only 30 minutes. How does that happen! She is an absolute miracle worker and my big day wouldn’t have been the same without her. Seriously, she’s the best seamstress in town!
Amy Eberle: I was married on 7/3 and I wore a dress that Leila created from scratch. The entire experience was so awesome…. From sketches to fabric swatches to fittings to edits…. it was an awesome part of my entire engagement process. I am not a “must have custom” person….. probably the farthest from it, but I realized that I wanted someone else to do the leg work on “finding” a dress for me. It was affordable (the thing fit without added expensive undergarments and I had NO alteration costs) and I just got to stand and enjoy the experience. I would recommend that anyone getting married at minimum consider the option of custom made AND top of my list is Leila at CCB!

Not only is she super knowledgeable about sewing and bridal design, Leila makes sure you feel heard at every step along the way and comfortable with how the dress fits on your body no matter what your size or shape. It was also such a comfort knowing my wedding dress was in capable, caring hands. Leila treated my mother's dress with such care, saving all the fabric so we could use it for other aspects of the wedding (like for my groom's lovely custom bowtie that she also made). Kasey Hadaway: I am so lucky to have found Leila to tailor my wedding dress! She was so welcoming and inviting right from the get go. You can imagine the level of stress that would ensue when you try on your wedding dress 6 months before the big day to find that the back zipper is not even close to zipping. You have 2 options at that point, only one was viable for me --scrap it and find a new one (nope, not when this one was my dream dress!) or find an incredibly talented tailor/dress designer to make it work (yep, thankfully I found Leila!). In addition to the challenge of making it fit (& it ended up fitting like a glove), Leila also added a beaded belt that I know took a ton of work. Gorgeous! She also worked with my mom and sister to surprise me with a fabric heart from my late grandmother's dress. Not only did she clearly lay out her plan of action, she made me feel so comfortable about the situation. After the initial consultation I knew I was in good hands. I had 3 fittings, all of which were extremely professional and had me feeling confident. I was an out-of-town bride so Leila was also very flexible and understanding with my schedule. In all, Leila had her hands on a lot of outfits for our wedding -- including my dress, my nephew's ring bearer outfit, my sister's bridesmaid dress, my brother-in-law's usher pants and my dad's jacket! Every. single. article. that had tailoring turned out impeccable. If you're looking for a 'cheap' alteration, this isn't that place, but it shouldn't be - prices were very reasonable for the task, especially since this was the biggest day of my life and I couldn't be happier with the result! All in all, great experience and I highly recommend Leila to anyone who is needing either a custom piece or a wedding dress alteration!
Faith Wegener: I honestly cannot express how I N C R E D I B L E Leila is and how amazing the work is that they produce.**Story time** I first met Leila when my sister stumbled upon their studio for her wedding dress alterations. Shortly after finding myself engaged, I was at my childhood home and my mother pulled out her old wedding dress and her mother's old wedding dress. My grandmother's dress was gorgeous and fit me eerily well but since it was well over 60 years old it desperately needed repairs. I figured if I was going to seriously consider wearing my grandmother's dress for my wedding, there was only one person for the job: Leila. So we set up a phone call and some amazing ideas were cooked up. I brought the dress in for them to take a look at and see how badly the lace had worn away.Leila painstakingly and gently took apart the dress and brought new life to it-- she made a new bodice for the top that mimicked the original but also gave it a modern spin and changed the silhouette of the skirt to match the picture I had in my head. The outcome was gorgeous.**end story time**A couple of notes about why you should have Leila design your custom wedding outfit:1. She is not afraid of hearing that you want to change something along the process, in fact she lives for it2. Leslie White: Stop what you are doing right now and treat yourself and your body to a custom made piece from Leila. I thought I knew the shapes that worked for me until I met the owner of Curvy Custom Bride. Not only does she show interest in you as a person but also your needs. She made a blazer for me and for the life of me I cannot understand how it is not only flattering to my shape but incredibly comfortable and professional without looking stuffy. It has become my favorite item to wear in my entire closet. I am obsessed with the artistry that comes out of one person and she really makes you feel welcomed and a friend. Rachel Weisenburger: If I could give 10 stars to Leila at Curvy Custom Brides, I would. My biggest fear with my wedding dress was having to change my weight or body to have the dress look the most flattering. Leila is not only incredibly talented, but she makes you feel comfortable during an uncomfortable and stressful time. She has so many helpful and creative ideas to make any dress unique to you. She was super easy to contact and was always willing to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I would like to add that Leila makes completely custom bridal gowns. Had I found Leila and Curvy Custom Brides prior to purchasing my wedding dress, I would have had her help design a custom look for me. Again, she is incredible and does everything in her power to make sure your wedding dress is what you’ve always dreamed of.

For my pickup appointment, I brought my daughter and Leila was so fantastic to her (my daughter loves to sew and fashion design) and let her look at her designs. Leila is incredibly professional, timely, detail oriented, communicative, and INCREDIBLY talented. She added so much joy and love to my wedding preparation process. Her favorite thing to say is that the dress fitting/ making/ alteration process is a dialogue, and so she listens and encourages you to speak your mind, all with the goal of making sure every bride feels confident and beautiful on their day. COVID-19 derailed my original wedding plans, including the plans for my original dress. In a matter of weeks, Leila stepped in, designed a custom gown from scratch, had several fittings with me, and had my perfect, unique dress ready before my wedding day. She also made me and my then-fiance custom masks and also tailored my then-fiance's suit. On top of that, she framed her sketch of the gown and signed it for me to keep as a keep sake. I have that beautiful sketch hanging in my bedroom as I type this. I had no idea when I started wedding planning that my alteration specialist was going to be one of the best parts of my wedding, and yet here we are. I received so many compliments on my custom gown, I felt like a queen on my day, and the dress will forever be one of my favorites. Thank you for everything, Leila!

Crysten Custer: Long story short: I had 76 days till our big day & had a dress I absolutely hated. My sister, also my matron of honor, refused to let me get married in a dress I hated. Which brought us into Gretchen’s Bridal Gallery.On the way there I had told my sister we would go to Gretchen’s first because I don’t think I’ll find anything there for me. It should be a quick in & out.We were welcomed immediately with a very warm greeting. We went in on a Saturday morning with no appointment but was told they could give us a tour and we could browse and they could see about getting us in later that afternoon. While browsing, they advised us they had a cancellation & could get us in a room right away.Our consult was wonderful. Very bubbly and so excited to help a stressed bride on a time crunch find her dream dress.Upon putting THE dress on-the feeling hit me. “This might be the one.” It fit perfectly. Walking out of the dressing room, standing on the podium, multiple employees were in awe of how stunning the dress looked on me and they really made me feel like a bride. Not wanting to jump on the first great dress we left and went to another store.The experience I had at this other store was day and night different. The atmosphere, the employees, the dress selection, none of it compared to Gretchen’s. I did find a dress at this store I loved & did have to put some thought into which I wanted more however, due to the overwhelmingly great experience overall I had at Gretchen’s, I picked the dress from there & took it home same day. I said YES TO THE PERFECT DRESS in a store I initially thought would be a quick in and out and on to the next store. So glad I was wrong!Thank you Gretchen’s Bridal for giving me a dream experience at finding my dream dress!

alyssa goodpaster: My appointment at Gretchen's Bridal was my very first time searching for a dress for my wedding. I went in with lots of excitement, but left feeling very discouraged, disappointed, and guilty. When trying on dresses, I did not feel like my stylist was listening to my feedback. I gave her direction on some dress styles I would love to try, and I felt as if she continued to bring me dresses that did not match my description. Since she was not bringing me dresses I was interested in, of course I didn't love a good portion of dresses. She seemed to be disappointed in me and was making me feel guilty for not 'saying yes to a dress.' When I told her I was going to continue shopping around, she tried to talk me out of it. I felt pressured to purchase a dress, which left me feeling guilty when I didn't. It truly seemed like her only interest was making commission. She didn't seem to be having fun, she wasn't hyping me up, never one time complimented me in a dress (whereas EVERY other stylist I have seen since has made me feel beautiful in every dress) and overall I felt stressed out and pressured by her. It seemed very unprofessional. However, I do want to say that Gretchen's Bridal as a whole seemed to have a wide selection of dresses, at a GREAT price! I wish I could have gotten paired with another stylist because I believe I could have had a much better experience.
Abigail Fleming: I LOVED my experience at this shop. Tara is the best consultant in ever. Seriously if you want that perfect “say yes to the dress” moment ask to be paired with Tara. She really took her time to make sure I was able to try on any dress I wanted and made me feel so special. The dresses are all STUNNING and they are not over priced like other shops in the area. All of the staff makes you feel so special during your whole appointment and they have very inclusive size options so every bride can feel beautiful. I went to several shops on the Carmel area, and I’m a very picky bride, and this shop was the best. I wanted something that didn’t look like every other brides dress that I had seen and I was able to find a dress better then I could have ever imagined. If you are a future bride looking for your dress, do not skip this shop. You will find your perfect dress and you won’t go broke doing it!

She pulled a dress that was outside my comfort zone and it was 100% the dress for me. She made me feel so confident and amazing and made dress shopping stress free. Multiple consultants told me how wonderful they thought I looked in my dress and the experience was amazing. I could not recommend Gretchen’s enough. It was absolutely phenomenal and I’m so excited to wear my dress next year at my wedding!! ❤️
