Sultana Cafe & Hookah Bar: what do users think?
Miroslav Revaic: Hookah took a while to get out. It was packed took tightly, no airflow, not enough holes, and barely any smoke coming out. The original server had a bit of an attitude when inquired about length of time to get them out. Second server was a heck of a lot better and tried to accommodate us, but it seemed like she was busy and got a little agitated with our complaints. An awful experience this time, every other time it's been a good one.
Alex M: Very relaxing 😌
Johnny Etter, Jr.: Cool little spot. First time doing hookah it was interesting. The fried cheese is where it is. We ordered ours and then another table ordered after seeing ours
Kimone A: Cool location. Too many rules for no reason. The hookahs don’t really fit on the tables. Drinks not strong. Probably will not return
Luis Perez: It was a very chill experience
DeeLeoKing: Olivia was an amazing server!
jayre reid: This was our first time here and we stood at the door for over 25 minutes with out being acknowledged by any staff. In fact one staff member saw her friends come in after us and spoke to them and when they finally were going to seat my party, our ids were checked but she did not check the id of her friends. The server was rude and inattentive.
Destiny Singh: Been here twice and enjoy my time
Andy Lee: nice experience, but definitely on the pricy side of things.
Raghavi Yuvaraj: A very cozy hookah bar. Loved the service. Could do a little better with the food. We had the spanokopita, they did not taste fresh. The chicken shawarma dinner plate was a winner though.
Shay R: I absolutely love this place. Fun laidback atmosphere.
saja bader: Service is awesome especially Friezer she is the best bartender ever super attentive and makes you feel like you are the only customer there
Britt R: First time visiting. Nice and chill spot with good music. Our waiter was very nice, and she gave me a piece of cake for my birthday. Will go back soon.
Melanie Rodriguez: Sarah was awesome! She gave quality service. I really liked the atmosphere. We had a great time.. loved the server!! Sunny was also great. However…. The bar tender really surprised us. We requested one last drink 10 minutes before close. (Our check averaged well over $150.00 and we tip well). So yeah I was surprised that she said no.
Brian Charlesworth: Sarah was the best. If I come back it’s only because of her service!
Mohamed Diop: Great service nice people and very fun
Adel AL SAQRI: It is very horrible place. The shiha tasts awful. The seatings are messed up. The prices do not go along with the poor service
Lina Dunlap: No...scary...left
Bianca Watts: Everytime I visit this location it seems as if the staff does not care about customer service, they are more interested in being on their phones and smoking hookah with their friends and coworkers. Our drinks sat at the bar for 10 mins while servers and bartenders stood over our drinks talking and on their phones. This place is in a good location and has so much potential to be better!
Ashley “Maha” ElQaffaf: I *USED* to love coming here. The great service and experienced staff is a thing of the past. I had a server(Sarah) that was more concerned with flirting with male guests and smoking their hookah. She made me feel as if I was imposing on her to change out the charcoal, refill my glass of water, or taking away finished plates. Asking some folks(African American) to put their CC down before ordering and not asking others. Some Servers don’t feel like they don’t have to give their best when 18% gratuity is automatically put on the bill even if they don’t earn it. I went against my better judgment and gave it another shot after my last not so great experience. Do yourselves a favor and go to some of the Hookah places in Indy. Best of luck to you all.
Abdullah Alsharif: Never forget to take your receipt.

LAVA: what do users think?
Raafat Kalliny: Nice place,
Pablo Habibi: All around awful. Worst hookah I've ever had and not clean. They also over charger for everything with no price transparency.
Henry Obed: Was good for sure
Verlancie Pierre: Love this place
jherica allen: Went there on a Saturday. Paid no cover charge. Its fee to sit at the bar and the tables have a $60 minimum which isnt bad. Typical bottle service. I had a few margaritas which were tasty. Dj was dope. Had the lamb chops and they were good, but the rice was TERRIBLE LOL. Cool place to visit. I have no issue with going back. I dont do hookah, so i cant comment on that.
Bamidele Akerele: The Saturday night Dj is the best ❤️. Humble and very friendly
Crystal Gems: Not this bar trynna do the paper bag test. They’re lame and colorist.
DeeLeoKing: Best hookah spot in town!!!
Latisha Huckleby: I had a really nice time
MidKnight Projects: If I could give this place 0 starts or less I would in a heart beat … worst hookah bar I’ve ever been too and I’ve been to a lot of bad ones. Garbage hookah and unsanitary “ the water was yellow” . And garbage employees, super rude and have no clue on how to make hookahs, I would not recommend going here at all unless you wanna leave sick or with a headache . I will be forwarding all this to the city health department.
Martin Balbuena: 20 dollar cover. No coat check. No tiny tiny floor.
Turtle: Very very rude staff. Horrible attitude. Will not recommend
Syed Sohaib Tahir: Arrogant and rude management! We went for Hookah and some hot drinks. They seated us, took our order and then asked for cover charge after the fact. When we tried to negotiate the manager rudely asked us to leave. I got some racist vibes from this interaction.
Naturally Sheriann: I'll never refer anyone to this place, and I'll never return to Lava. It says a lot that I have never left a review of any place, positive or negative. When I asked the manager an inquiry about my reservations, he was VERY rude. It wasn't enjoyable, the hookah was awful, the seats were ripped, and it was unprofessional. Since I don't drink, they gave me TONIC water with mint and lime when I asked for a mock-tail, which is a cocktail without alcohol. This place is the WORSE I've ever gone to. Even though I don't go out much, practically everyone I invited claimed they couldn't go since they don't like lava. Now that I know the reason, It's awful... Avoid going there. This location is disgusting, filthy, unprofessional, and extremely trashy.
Levi George: Great hookah bar.
Emily Burkhardt: This place deserves zero starts. I’m sorry to the employees. They were rude and not very servicing, but also seemed a bit sad… Absolutely the worst hookah bar. They would not even seat us due to some bs party that wasn’t set to start until 2 hours later. My aunt convinced us to go back, luckily we didn’t have to pay cover charge. We bought mediocre drinks and had a bland ‘fruity’ hookah. So after over $100 we spent here, despite not paying the cover charge, they kicked us out. I guess we didn’t fit the scene. 0/10 for chillness . Do better guys! You have potential. What sucks is I wanted to order food and didn’t even get the chance.
Mazin Almaksood: Great night fun
Lindsi: Great drinks and service! Shoutout to champagne! She was awesome
Adel AL SAQRI: It is ok
M M: I absolutely loved the atmosphere of this place. It really isn't set up for dancing, so if those are your plans, go somewhere else.
Tiera Vaughn: My husband and I came from Buffalo, Ny to enjoy the city and our friends here. We visited back in January also and we had a great time and enjoyed GOOOOD food and drinks. The best part was the WINGS and lamb chops!! Coming from the home of the Buffalo Wings.. definitely gets a stamp of approval from us! We will be back again for our nights out. Thanks for a good time!

The Egyptian: what do users think?
Charles McCord: Fun place to relax, with great staff and wonderful atmosphere
Abriana Carlisle: The Egyptian room is a great place to start the night out IF with a group. My girlfriend and I have been there a few times just us, it took a while for the staff to notice us. Last time we went there they charged our table of two gratuity unexpectedly...
Avary Powell: Delicious food and the atmosphere is always chill. The Hookah is good as well.
CarlyBC: I visited this place while I’m Indianapolis for a Pacers game. Other restaurants I visited had me very doubtful that good customer service existed in Indians, but The Egyptian changed that. From the moment I entered the place until I left, customer service was nothing less than excellent. Though we waited a while for a server, the bartender noticed it and came to our table and took our order. As busy as he was, he still checked on us and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful and the hookah was great! I highly recommend this place!
Nathan J. Marcisz: Excellent atmosphere, the wait staff were prompt and attentive, and the food was tasty, filling, and relatively inexpensive considering the portion size. Would heartily recommend.
Bayly Buchanan: Comfortable place with good food, good hookah, and casual friendly service. The place can get kinda loud for a hookah bar between 8 and 11 but it's still good vibes.
Beautiful Miata: Went in to get a table there was tables clearly open fake security at door said at first said you have to reserve a table to sit ! Then after questioning him he said he didn’t say because the area where tables was empty had all 2 tops it was just 2 of us! We stood at the door while I watch them text some one to go stand by the table we were waiting for to be clean. The fake security at door also made jokes about us and then proceeded to ignore us after 15 mins of waiting ! I just went back pass to see if the table was cleaned and it was ! Also the entire time we were waiting it was a clean table. We have been faithful customers for years but lately the new staff is complete trash and ghetto ! Do better and maybe they shouldn’t come to work high so they can function
Justin Stumpf: Been coming here for years! It’s always a great time, whether you want to work, hangout, eat, drink, socialize etc. You get it all here!! The servers are super nice as well, especially Cori, Keith and Kipp!!! I’ve also been to a few dozen hookah bars, all over the country, and this place is #1 in hookah flavor. The taste always blows me away! Customer for life here.
Deja Williams: Not the best experience this time.. ended up leaving after waiting for a table.
Syed Sohaib Tahir: Visited the place out of town from West coast. We just wanted to have hookah and one of our friends only had a digital ID but the business didn’t let us sit. I have never experienced this for having hookah.
Gisselle Calderon: Horrible service , very unprofessional , cold food 🤮
Tai Robinson: Drinks and Food is GREAT Also the servers
The Hungry Taurus: My girl and I decided to go on a date Tuesday night. She loves hookah and wanted to check this place out. Parking varied but for us which I believe was about 4 hours was $6. They have a nice size parking lot right next to the place which is convenient. Before we entered we had to pay $10 each to get in. That was already $26 dollars BEFORE entering the establishment. When we walked in there was a host at the bottom level but she did not greet us and walked away from the stand. It left us confused on what to do so we went to the bar. When we got to the bar we were greeted by Clay. He handed us menus and waters at that moment we were able to look around and feel the vibe. We planned on eating so we spotted a couch seating that had a table and chairs that we thought would be more roomy for us. So we asked him when we got our food if we could move there. He replied, “if you want to change seats I advise you to do that now because once you order with me your set. We aren’t playing musical chairs.” And walked away. We had already paid $26 to get in so we didn’t let that ruin our night. Other than the host and Clay the night was a vibe. The music was R&B classics with a mix of rap. Our hookah was always tended to, the food was delicious and filling. The drinks were good and I wish I knew the waiters name but she was light skin, curly hair in a clip, light or brown eyes. She was tentative to us and nice. I think we arrived around 7. There are no tobacco free choices for the hookah and there was 18% gratitude in the bill already but you had the choice to tip more. We decided we would go back on another Tuesday some time.
Zaydon Sudani: Lamb kabobBlue mist hookahCranberry juiceReally good
Robert Duff: We're semi regulars. Best hookah place in the city* and recently had a move to an interesting spot. Haven't tried the upper floor patio yet.Great hookah experience with regular coal service. Wish the went back to real hoses instead of plastic, not sure we'll ever get back there post-Pandemic.We are day visitors and the music gets louder at night, so apply that framework to this review.Never had cocktails there, maybe a beer or tea occasionally.Food is great with a good spread of Mediterranean/M.E. inspirations. Falafel, hummus, shawarma, kabob, pita, gyro, etc. Our favorite has become the King Tut burger. The lamb balance in the patty is just perfect!*There's not much competition due to licensing laws. But I'd still rate this place tops since they don't seem to skate by on the minimum.
Adel AL SAQRI: Similar to the other place
Lakea Howell: Very chilled place love it
Hani Izem: Not so authentic ( لا تذهب هناك )I ordered shawarma tasted like burrito ( nasty food but it's good if you don't know ).They added couple items to the menu to make it look Arabian environment and some basic arts. ( basically its just a bar )The security will check you so that you'd never go back there ( very intimidating ).It can be cool if you don't know, and it it has its people that are going there and I'd say they all know ea other
lala housley: Great time
latasha Housley: Keith gave us the best service yesterday. THANK YOU FOR OPENING THE ROOF TOP FOR US
Marva Jordan: Nice place to chill customer service from the ladies there is wonderful

New Paradise: what do users think?
Dylan Zavaleta: They’ve left their original run down building as an eye sore to broadripple for many years after they moved. Fix up or sell the old building so we don’t have to look at it.
Stoney Islandd: I don’t even know what to say besides listen to the bad reviews the good reviews are from people the owner personally know TRUST ME I was robbed go to LAVA
Rachel Ramirez: I have a new chill spot. Thanks for the vibes
JP Ford: Great place for hookah! Owner waits on you personally. Hidden gem!
Ahmed Elmaghraby: If you love real hookah it's your place to go in Indy.
Ali Hussein: The best hookah in Indy! So many options of flavors. The hookah last for a long time. Also the coals last a long time before you need to change it!!! My favorite hookah bar in Indy.
omar allataifeh: Best place hookah is amazing.
Zaidwn Zaidwn: Best hookah place in Indiana.
sherif shazly: Nice Hookah, nice atmosphere, nice musicVery affordable
Marie LK: This place is best hookah spot
hayder karrar: This place is amazing and they serve very good and the place is clean.
BoogieTheGamer Duh: Yeah the owner is great , you will not be disappointed ,it’s lit on the weekend chill thru the week just great vibes all around 🎯✍🏽
Emilee: This is an under-rated haven for late nights and avoiding a dui. No drinks and limited food, (bags of chips) but $10/person or $20/couple gets you a hookah with 2 coals and a bottle of water for each guest! WAYY cheaper than a dui, so sober up until 3a.m. Mon.-Thurs. Included disposable hoses and mouth pieces for everyone in the party to prevent spread of Covid-19. Or until 4a.m. on weekends!!! Super hospitable staff, dog friendly porch, and modest digs in the heart of Broad Ripple. Would definitely recommend 👌👍🙂😀😊☺
Christie Miller: This place gives you used disposable hoses, this does not follow the mandated Covid-19 health rules. The carpet on the floor was dirty, the carpets on seats were dingy and dirty, I was afraid to touch anything. We had already paid and walked out before even the hookah was used. No food, no drinks , just water bottles. It was sub standard by all means. Go to Lava, it's cheaper and better.
Tamer Aflah: nice place, good hookah. (sheesha)
Pixel Rare: A Humble staff and a nice atmospher much better than Lava. Based on a personal experience lava are real prejudice toward colored people. So also they have nastest staffs I have ever seen in Indianapolis. I would recommend Egyptians or new paradise If you really want to enjoy having a fabulous time. Sincerely .
Genet Medhane: Different from your average hookah Barr the establishment expects you to get request songs with the another customer even if you’re a customer meanwhile the other customers are urban ghethoo and you’re from another city lol wired would def never request hookah from another customer request I give them the aux meanwhile I and 4 other customers have arrived from another town. Management could use some work but I can see they work on reviews for buisness stragety is buyer beware hookah smoke is weak was well! Trust me lava is good strong hookah. This hookah is beware fr since I’ve been everywhere in INDY do not go here if you’re visiting Indy if you live here idc but vjeting save your money go to lava for the full experience now if you live in Indy this won’t hurt your plans
G&J Family: Wife & I enjoy hanging out together here & a number of other places in the area!
Arianna Tinney: Absolutely love this place. I go almost weekly. Nice owner, decent prices, chill, laid back, follow the simple rules on the wall and you will have a good time.
Ethan Yaden: Came here during open hours to celebrate a friend's birthday at 12 and they were already closed.
Brandon Gnatebis: Wonderfully laid back.
