The staff is so friendly and especially engaging with my 6 month old! We both look forward to weekly swim lessons and it’s fun to see him building on his skills week by week, encouraged by the awesome staff.
This swim school is amazing! The instructors are kind and knowledgeable. The facilities are always spotlessly clean. And I love that they let us make up classes when we aren’t able to attend.
My three young kids take lessons here. The instructors are great, classes are small, and my kiddos love it. I appreciate that all of them can get their lessons done in one easy evening. The school is clean and nicely laid out and it makes watching the kids, getting changed, and even waiting for siblings fun and easy. We consider Aqua Tots a must in our family for water safety!

The instruction my daughter is receiving is so valuable and foundational to her future with water.

Lauren Gaudion: We’re in level 1 Tadpoles with our daughter, and I originally hesitated spending time and money on lessons with her so young. I quickly changed that mindset when I saw how much her attitude and comfort toward water shifted after just a few lessons. She loves being in the water now, even getting water over her face and in her eyes, and it makes me comfortable having her in and around water while still keeping safety top of mind. The staff there does a great job with kids and parents in introducing water safety and making being in the water and learning new skills fun. It’s a perfect activity to break up our week and we all look forward to the 30 minutes we spend each week at Aqua Tots. Everyone from the instructors to the front desk staff to the pool deck supervisors are super friendly and helpful no matter our questions or needs!

Jessica Pruitt: My daughter has been going to Aqua-Tots since she was 4 months old and is now 2. We cannot recommend them enough! The curriculum is fun and engaging for littles while also teaching them essential skills while in the water. The staff is nothing short of amazing. Every coach has been so understanding, patient, and flexible during classes. They are also incredibly personable- we are always greeted when we walk in and they know my daughter by name. My daughter looks forward to swim every week and we love taking her here!
Jenna McFadden: Our boys love swim lessons here. It is the perfect amount of time and an excellent number of kids per teacher. We have a 2 year old and a 4 year old and both have had a great experience. There are a lot of classes at different times making it easy to work into your schedule.

Their instruction has been so effective that we have sent 3 of our older children and now our 4th to take lessons here. The teachers are focused on building specific skills each lesson and partnering with parents to reinforce their teaching. This focus has helped my son progress quickly. Thanks for all you do to encourage and effectively teach such a life-saving skill!"

The instructors are SO patient. 3 YO's first lesson she cried for 10 minutes while a helper held her and consoled her and GOT HER IN THE WATER SWIMMING HAPPY!! Oh yeah! I was so impressed. Both love lessons and ask all week when lessons are.They sell little candies for 25 cents and they love these for progress rewards after.There are bathrooms, changing rooms, and a blown dryer station.Great overall experience!
Dave Schwab: Had 3 kids enrolled. My middle child, 7 yo, had their instructor send them down the lane and turned her back. The life guard was totally spaced out (not scanning, spaced out). I had to yell and pound on the glass to get them to notice (they finally did and thank god sprang into action) as my child was desperately grasping for anything to get back above the water after being under for way too long. It could have easily been much much worse. The staff barely acknowledged they made a mistake. They did pull the guard and talk to them, to their credit. This is after 4 months of instruction by the way for my kid. Unacceptable for how expensive this place is. Our old school in CO did way better with our older one and was also less expensive.

What is unique and special about goldfish is their special and personal attention and regard for a child's development in swimming and that each child has a fun and impactful time while doing so. From their management down to the swim instructors these values and practices are shared and repeated in a way that is impressive. If you are looking for your child to start swimming or want to see them grow into the swimming program, this is a great place to start!!
Rachel Bancroft: Goldfish Carmel has been amazing for our family! My kids love the warm water and the instructors. Not all the instructors were a good fit for us, but Katie and Amaya at the front desk work very hard to find the class time and instructor that work! We have stuck with GF for a few years and by the time my child was 4-5 she was able to swim laps with all the strokes across the pool. I love the patience of instructors to work with children at their level of comfort in the water.

paul nicholas: This place is always booked to full capacity. That means there are 4 students per lane to maximize profitability. Simple math says I am bringing my daughter here for less than 7.5 minutes of instruction.On the plus side, my 3 yo daughter loves it. And she swims pretty well now.

Joel G: SLIP RISK and safety issue! Tonight (8/29) my son slipped on the wet exposed floor leaving the swim area and hit the back of his head. There are not enough rugs and the floor is constantly slick and wet without appropriate COF for the area and purpose in use. This is the second slip and fall incident for me and my family here.The workers told me after the first incident they had thought about getting more rugs from Cintas but just haven't yet... Perhaps less thinking and more action is required at this location, this is and was a known safety hazard. I was not provided any follow-up contact info by the workers onsite and they dismissed the issue and me. They didn't even come over to dry the wet area...
amanda s: Goldfish has been an amazing journey for my 3 children. 1 has graduated all the levels and is an excellent swimmer! She is a fish in the water, and that's all due to goldfish! My other 2 kiddos are still going through the levels and love it! It's so such a relief to feel confident about their swimming skills whenever we're near water. I'm so grateful for all the instructors and their patience and training they provide, as well as the front desk and management. Everyone is so helpful and cheerful. We love goldfish!
Sarah Zieles: This location is overcrowded with students and the swim instructors seem to churn and burn fast. Both my children were enrolled in Junior 1 class together for approximately 6 months and almost never had the same teacher. Each class was the same lesson over and over and my children got only a few minutes each in the water. In my opinion there are far superior swim lessons in the area and I’d encourage you to look elsewhere before booking with Goldfish Carmel.

Jennifer Culhan Kepley: There are no words to describe how fabulous Eric and this facility is. I was looking for private/semi private lessons and we couldn't have been more pleased with the growth our children had with their swimming from these lessons. We did the 20 minute semi private and it was a perfect amount of time. We did 2-3 lessons per week for about a month. It has worked wonders! Eric knows not only how to teach swimming, but how to work with little kids. Out of all the $ we have ever spent on our children, I can honestly say this was the best investment we have ever made. We will continue these lessons throughout the year to keep them comfortable.
Nick Jaworski: We love this place. It's tiny as it's just a small pool in the back of a fitness studio, but our daughter loves coming here. She went to 3 different crappy swim courses offered by a variety of school systems. They were all run by high school kids that didn't know how to teach. 10 kids in a lesson and our daughter would be there for an hour and get maybe 5 minutes swim time. Just dumb.Indy swim has great teachers that involve all the kids. They also keep classes at 4 or under so the teacher can give lots of attention. The teachers are also really good. They actually know how to teach swimming and aren't just some high school kids without experience.

free C: Preschoolers swim class through the park service this morning. 2/3 instructors were a no show, leaving one instructor to manage 10 kids. He did the best he could and I'm thankful he didn't cancel the class.Here's the kicker though- there were at least six other employees in the vicinity and not one of them could be bothered to step up. They lounged around and stayed busy on their cell phones while the lifeguards weirdly paced around an otherwise empty pool. Glad to see our tax payer dollars being put to use, and of course no refunds :/. Thank you Indy Parks for the all of the 30 seconds my kid spent in the water .

Michael Joyce: They don’t have enough room and don’t have enough lifting equipment. The locations of the equipment isn’t very thought out and a decent portion of the cardio equipment goes unused. Pricing isn’t great if you’re someone who doesn’t have a family. I end up paying for a lot of amenities that’s I’ll never use and they’re raising the price. My experience with the checkin and fitness staff has been very pleasant, they’re the only reason this isn’t a one star review. The sales staff was very rude during my time of sign up. I’m very ready to find a new gym.
