A P: I made an appointment over a month ago to have my taxes prepared. I could not for the life of me get anyone to tell me what documents I needed to prepare for my appt. Finally a week before my appt, the person replied to me and basically said "I'm not sure why they assigned you to me, but I'm not taking new clients." I asked who else she'd recommend and she did not offer anything. I spent probably 2 hours today calling around to different locations to see if anyone could help with my taxes, but they kept referring to her because she has a specialty I needed. This was absolutely ridiculous and does not need to be this complicated. If someone's trying to decrease their client load I respect that, but a) that needs to be communicated to clients up front, and b) you need to respect that staff member's needs or hire someone else if they're overbooked. This is a staffing issue that shouldn't be affecting customers. I'm not going to call out anyone specifically, but if you have any international income don't bother looking here for assistance.
Vrotate: Absolute worst tax experience of my life. We have used these people (Robin) for the last few years and our preparer was just plain LAZY! And she gave us horrible advice and has cost us thousands. Many of the things that came out of her mouth were incorrect and some of her calculations were way off. We made the mistake of following her advice. We had an appointment to get our taxes done in the spring and she refused to do them because she was too busy... AT AN APPOINTMENT! Terrible! Too many other choices to put up with this unprofessional garbage. GO ELSEWHERE!

Megan Herron: I've been a loyal customer for years. I lost my husband at the end of 2020. Last year I was told it was 320 because I had to file both things for us and his daughter. Then was promised this hear it would be more affordable and easier. It was more... I told tyler what I had set aside and he didnt even try to fit it. He couldnt answer half my questions and constantly had to ask for help. I then spent 4 hours at fidelity to help him, for him to spend 20 mintues with me and ask for almost 400 from the grieving suicide widow. He never mentioned pricing till the very end when it was to late. I feel robbed and disrespected. Your online pricing is nothing like what you actually charge. I will be sharing my awful experience with every widow and widower I know. You lost a good customer who truly needed help during a hard time.
Megan Eby Herron: Always fun feeling taken advantage of by a business especially when they see an opportunity to make money. I've been a loyal HR Block customer for over a decade. But the last two years since becoming a widow their fees and what they require me to pay to get help with my taxes has more than doubled. I was promised last year it would be more affordable this year because I'm on my own and wont be claiming as much. Nope, they charged me even more and didnt even care when I told them they would be losing a loyal customer. 360 dollars for a single widow filing, no children, and one retirement plan is obscene and robbery as far as I'm concerned. Way to kick someone when they are down. All their pricing online is completely incorrect, save yourself some trouble and go anywhere else. They will have more compassion and integrity there.

When you receive a big bill from tax department, the tax advisor who filed your taxes yells at you and blames YOU for wrong tax returns. HR Block, if you're listening, you should pay attention to how professional your employees are and how they treat your customers like trash.Pro tip: If you can't help someone say so. Filing wrong tax returns, yelling and humiliating your clients is not the way.Edit: BTW, I tried calling your service, but I hung up after being bounced off here and there for 30 minutes, so yes, it bolsters my belief that you just don't care.

They helped me repair and confirm what I needed to do even in the midst of obvious traffic during the peak of tax season. Laura showed great expertise and skill of state and tax law and made it easy to understand what was going on!
Brian Blake: I'm a single person with no dependents and no house or any financial transactions. They still managed to completely mess up my return saying I owed over 10,000 to the state when I owed less than 100 dollars. Do not trust these people, please go anywhere else. They still didn't refund my money after all these troubles and were extremely rude.

Dylan: For year of 2020 was first time using H&R Block for taxes. Service was great in office but question their online/tech service. I've called the company two separate times to let them know I can see another individuals past three years of taxes when I log into my account. Wonder how often this happens. Still waiting for them to fix it since February of 2021. Can see all SSNs, addresses, and bank/routing numbers and everything for the other person's taxes. This is a complete breach of personal identifiable information.

I was told by a Heavy Set Black Female, that wouldn't give me her name that I didn't have a appointment, that I did have and proof that I made the appointment! She was very rude refused to allow me to speak to anyone and wouldn't give me her name. I also have a text message confirming my appointment.She showed her name tag it said "C Macy" this is a complete waste of my time.I left work 1hr early and paid $10 to park. This is a complete waste of time and very unprofessional. She rescheduled me for the 10th a appointment that I'm afraid to attend. I willn't be doing ANY business with HR Block EVER again this is a huge waist of my time.A complete waste of my time! I've spoken to several people from said company that haven't gotten back in touch with me. Terrible Experience!Very Rude and Sarcastic! I have the text message confirming my appointment.

Dustin Smith: Having scheduled a 12:15 appointment with Heather, I waited until almost 1:00 before I could see her due to a scheduling error on their part. She asked if I had created an account online and uploaded documents. I was never told by anyone, virtually or when I called several times regarding the appointment, to upload any documents. I asked for the Wi-Fi name and password, and I had trouble logging on. I was frustrated and stressed regarding taxes to begin with. I got even more frustrated and left. I will not be returning and will not recommend H and R Block to anyone.

Sue Chu: Saw good reviews about Nancy Cole, so I switched office to have her do our 2020 return. But after giving her all information for tax preparation, talked to her several times with worries. When finished our return, she was not comfortable on return she did and would double check. Then I found that the changes should be made not made. Finally decided to switch to another H&R office to finish return. I ended up paying less taxes and less preparation fees with explanations. Hope other clients would have some sense when review the returns to be prepared by Nancy before submitting to IRS.
