Steven Sullivan: They said they would order my boots. Two months now and they can't seem to pull off this deal. Just wanted size 10.5 men's medium width. Hard to believe this is challenging.
White Buffalo: Nice guy at the counter. They had the shoe I wanted but not my size. Still had a great selection of work boots and work shoes.
Muskie Captain: Decent selection everything is steel-toed good customer service
Tony Davidson: Website showed boots up to size 17 in some brands, went in store to get boots and the guy behind the counter who didn't even turn the open sign on couldn't have cared less about customer service. He played on his phone, I asked the shoe sizes they go up to and he said 14 and stopped talking. Didn't mention that their sizes go higher than that and if I wanted bigger shoes they could be ordered. I asked if any were picture resistant and he said yea 1 pair. And then stopped talking again. If I were a boss of this store I would fire him on the spot, absolutely zero customer service and did not even remotely try and sell me a pair of boots despite me being the only person in the store. I am buying a pair of boots today but this guy made sure it was not going to be from his store.

Sean Sievers: So I’ve read quite a few reviews before I went to Gilvin’s. It was pretty much 50/50 on the reviews as far as overall customer experience. My experience was great. They didn’t have the boot I was looking for in particular, but they had my back up choice and I’m actually glad I went with this boot instead. They had an extensive selection of really great brands. They had top shelf to the apprentice making his way up affording what you can when you can, but still getting a good boot or good work shoe. After my experience I’m starting to think it’s the people who left bad reviews that were the problem or just expect to much from a boot store like it’s a hotel in Vegas lol. The gentleman who helped me was very informative, told him my industry and type of work and he put me in the right direction. Hell he even threw in a free hat that I was going to pay for at the counter and said no worries I got the hat. The cost of the hat was what I would have paid alone in taxes on the boot so much appreciated guy at the counter with the long hair. Great boots and prices and service and the money is going to a small business instead of amazon. Which is why I went to Gilvin’s in the first place because amazon decided to cancel my order after already waiting a week for my boots because they didn’t have the stock to fulfill my order. Will be going to Gilvin’s as long as they are around.

As soon as i got in the store he was trying to rush me out...all he kept doing as I was looking is making sly remarks and commentary about my shoe size and not being able to accommodate me and looking down at me for where i work at...from now on I'll be ordering online or taking my business elsewhere he should not be in customer service and I will be telling everyone I know about the kind of service you get from this place.#disgusted

Ebony Hart: The black woman working there was really rude and had a really bad attitude. She ignored me a few times on some questions I had about the shoes .

Patrice J.: The young fellas worked really hard to get us late folks in and out. We got there 10 minutes before closing, and they still made us feel comfortable as if the store just opened. The supply of shoes was somewhat low, but that's to be expected due to the start of all schools this week. It's upstairs on the second level I believe. There's not enough signs in the mall that tell you where to find what store unless it's the big giant map at the end of the 6 mile mall. Great customer service, great sale prices. Great Kids working hard!

Krush Kamp: My experience is okay I went there directly after March madness took place here in Indianapolis Indiana so I expected them not to have my size and shoes but the problem came in when I try to order the shoes and have them delivered to me via online and when I looked at my receipt I noticed my apartment number wasn't on there so I guess the manager was training a newer employee and how to do that process of online purchasing so they went back into the order so they told me and then they said they corrected the problem but they never did correct the problem I had to actually have my mail stopped just so I would get my shoes and it wouldn't get sent back to return to sender and when I went back in like a day or two later and let them know that they didn't fix that problem the lady assured me that everything was okay and I totally get that you want to protect your friends and you don't want to see your friends get in trouble but business is business and she should have felt like she could have been a little more empathetic to my concerns and she really wasn't she was just tell me what I wanted to hear in trying to get me out of the store and it make a long story short when I got my shoes from the post office they didn't have my apartment number on them and if the lady didn't know me the mail woman didn't know who I was I should say she would have sent them back so I was kind of disappointed by that

Bonnie Licklider: I was very early to my lunch next door ( the Eagle ) so I decided to stop since I had time to kill...I had went here as a child with my mother. I was a very tall girl and we lived in Noblesville, IN. No shoe store with size 12 girls back in the day so my Mom would bring me here... it was like stepping back in time..The store is very well organized. Clean and the staff are extremely helpful. Aaron did a great FAST job of fitting my feet, finding the shoes and making that sale! Thank you so very much for the speedy, friendly and expertise help! I'll be back!
The Real John Hobelman: I’ve been a customer of Stouts on Mass Ave since 2020. When I first came in I was suffering with plantar fasciitis and had a noticeable limp.The associates were kind and very knowledgeable and spent time with me on education and looking at different orthotic insoles.When I walked out I had no pain!!!!I’ve remained a loyal customer ever since and think the world of the general manager and the staff. So appreciative of how well they serve people and just how fun and kind the atmosphere in that shop is.Thanks everyone!!!!

The same gentleman was breathtakingly rude when he said he doesn’t appreciate customers walking into the store touching “his” shoes with their dirty hands. Made the whole experience uncomfortable. Mind you, he came up to us out of nowhere while we were looking at a shoe. It was a white skinny man wearing a kids tie.
Michael: I initially stopped by on a Sunday and they were very busy. I decided to come back during the week and am glad I did. Aaron helped me correctly size my feet and try on a series of shoes. I never felt pressured to buy anything. I ended up buying a new pair of shoes on the spot. Outstanding service!

He found a shoe he liked but they didn't have his size (12) so they said they would check the downtown location. They did have it downtown so off we went.We were nicely greeted and were told someone would be right with us. We indicated a call from Brownsburg was made and they immediately knew what we were there for. Unfortunately, the shoe was not a good fit for him (narrow feet).For the next hour, the store manager - Stephanie - made herself my son's personal shoe specialist. She was amazing. She was insightful and extremely knowledgeable. She gave suggestions. Most of all, she was patient. My son is quiet and can do the typical teenage - "uh, I don't know" answer to any question and she managed him beautifully! ❤️I can't thank this place enough!If you need shoes for business, prom, running, hiking, casual, or anything - this should be your first stop!

This place is a local business that focuses on your experience. They have shoes for big and tall people, so you never have to struggle to find your size anymore if you shop here! If you come here, you simply MUST ask for Robert, the assistant manager, for the store. While you're here, your satisfaction is his top priority, and you walk out feeling happy and in a shoe that fits you. I'm not exaggerating, I'm coming here from now on because they have my hard to find sizes that give me the right support for my feet, even in spite of the cost. You can't beat the quality of shoes that they sell and the superior customer service that they provide.

Someone Else: Decent store with a nice staff. The City Trends merchants or buyers have really tanked over the past few years. They started out with quality merchandise at one-time. But lately their clothing seems to be more suited for teens, the homeless, clowns and hip-hop wannabes. Not a place for adults.
