Bruce Secor: To say The Toy Pit is amazing & fantastic seems a bit inadequate - I think we need some new adjectives! I've been buying there a few years now & it's a great place for a life-long Trekkie like me; they got even better with the move to their new, much larger space. I've been collecting Star Trek for 30+ years & it's become difficult to find items I don't have but Toy Pit always comes thru. I was there today & found a couple items at the parking lot sale & a couple more in-store. As always, Mike the owner & Stockton the manager were terrific, very knowledgeable & helpful. Today was one where they surprised me with a couple Trek items I didn't have & immediately bought. As someone who has collected for years, buying online & at other shops around the country, I find their prices reasonable & competitive; as the signs in the store say, if you want to negotiate a price, just ask them. I've always received excellent customer service there & I'm happy I live only a couple miles away. Live Long And Prosper! 🤓🖖

They have WAY TOO MUCH to look at-Funko Pops, Action Figures, Pokémon cards, Barbies, Classic Horror figures, Anime, Superheroes, Star Wars...anything you can think of-THEY HAVE IT! We're always greeted when we come in and they're willing to help you if you ARE looking for something specific. We've never been disappointed with their selection. They buy/sell toys, their prices are reasonable, and everyone in there is friendly and knowledgeable-which is great for casual buyers or serious collectors. If you haven't been here yet, please give them a try! They have WAY too much...take some off of their hands...I know we try as much as we can 🤣

Dan Bartlett: My son loves Legos and we stopped by to see if they had anything fun. He really wanted some very specific but not very common blocks that they didn't have in the bins in the back, but he picked out a couple of new Lego people and otherwise enjoyed himself.The people were friendly and they were able to answer a lot of peoples' questions. It was really busy; at one point they posted someone at the door who only let people in when others were leaving.

Pam Robinett: The Lego store is nice I personally myself would not spend that much money for some of these Lego kits that they have I think it's very ridiculous but people are into that and that's fine think it's spend their money the way they choose to very impressive the Lego kits by the way. My granddaughter it was her birthday and she spent her own money and surprised me and bought me a Lego Eeyore keychain I was very sweet of her. I would definitely recommend people to go there if they are in the Legos and are into buying just any kind of Legos and spending these money for these kids like they had the Eiffel Tower and it was like 600 and some dollars well out of my price range.

King Boo: Went back to ask if I could renegotiate the prices - solid no. I'm not paying $20 for a Shaymin VSTAR card that's worth $1.82. This place is disgusting. Not even worth 1 star. You're better off at Comic Book University, trust me.Went in to sell some items and look at any Pokémon cards. Noticed they had a full arts Sidney card from Fusion Strike priced at $10. That is obscene. The market value for that card at the time of writing this review is $2.44. They also had a Celebrations Venusaur for $20! That card is marked at only $4.51! DO NOT BUY CARDS FROM HERE YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF

jamie c: I used to love trading and shopping here with D but since that red-headed guy has basically become co-owner he treats people like they don't know anything nothing they have is a value and he sure doesn't know anything about comic books been trading with D for years and buying and redhead told me I couldn't walk with a small box around the shop out of fear that I would steal something and that's not the only complaint many of us collectors have had similar run-ins with this guy's unprofessional behavior. If you're dealing with D it's a collectors find.

Sheri Selvey: Stopped in last night to shop for Christmas presents for my kid, and it felt like cheating - bc I wanted everything for myself :). So much whimsy and novelty, it’s so fun to look around in here. I got multiple items, and plan to stop in whenever I need a unique kiddo gift or just to see what’s new. A lot of the items are danish, polish, Czech - definitely have that quirky novel Scandinavian design novelty. And the books are carefully selected for a great curated selection you won’t find anywhere else.
Carson Royer: Great little local toy store. They carry a big variety of more boutique style children's toys, games, and books. They don't sell any mass-market or plastic toys. They have a wide range of stuffed animals, dolls, arts and craft kits, wooden toys, cars, and puzzles, and a decent selection of books. The staff is friendly, helpful, and great with kids.

Der Spielzeugladen hat alles an gutem und schönen Kinderspielzeugen zu bieten was man sich vorstellen kann. Kein billiges Plastik sondern nur hochwertiges, sinnvolles Marken Holzspielzeug aus aller Welt. Der Inhaber ist sehr nett und freundlich. Er hatte kein Problem damit das meine Enkelin alle Spielsachen im ganzen Laden ausprobiert hat. Wer Zeit hat und in der Gegend ist sollte dort unbedingt vorbeizuschauen. Meine Enkelin ist immer noch begeistert von ihrem Puppenbuggy.
Jeremy Miller: This is an amazing little store for toys. Everything is great quality; no plastic, breakable, throw away stuff here, with most items you won't find anywhere else. This is probably due to some of their brands being European but regardless it is all top notch products your kids (or your kid at heart) will love. We will definitely be back!

Jaycee Neubauer: Tried to take my son to build a bear for his birthday and they were shutting a gate as we were going in. When we asked what time they closed, one of the workers replied “right now”. It was 6:53pm. No signage anywhere as to why they were closing and online it states they are open until 8pm. When we kept asking what time do they close she kept just repeating “right now” and never telling us why they are closing. Then we called, asked the same questions about store hours and she hung up the phone. I wish there was one closer so I did not have to go back.

I even called to see if I could figure out what the issue was and If I could help resolve it, and she was so rude to me on the phone. She refused to look at our order number and check for our order despite the website saying my order was ready for pickup at anytime. She told us that they didn't sell what we bought in store, despite the website saying otherwise. She was so rude to me and my husband and I'm just glad my kids weren't there at the time.
Morgan Price: Very bad experience. Amber was extremely rude to customers and degrading to her staff. We waited for 10 mins for Amber to be finished doing something at the back counter for her to check us out. We were the only people in line and we asked her if we could check out and we were told to wait. The way she spoke to her staff (I’m assuming she was a manager) was truly awful.
K C: After hearing about ANOTHER shooting at the Castleton Mall that this Build a Bear is located inside of I'm wondering what precautions are you taking to keep these toddlers and children safe??? I took my grand daughter to this BAB location 6 days ago for her 3rd Birthday and had to stand outside the store with her in a line for over 30 mins in the mob of people walking back and forth. Now knowing that this could have happened that day I am absolutely disgusted! I've seen what they are considering "security" at this Mall and it is a joke. If you are planning a trip to this Build a Bear location you may want to reconsider for your childs safety and shop online.

Pam Robinett: We went there for my granddaughter's birthday so she could get her birthday bear We abided by the rules of the sign that was at the door that you had to wait to be brought in We had one lady approach us and tell us we could not bring our drinks in but she did not offer to go ahead and bring us in so we threw our drinks away and then we just kept standing there and finally someone else came over and told us that we could go ahead and walk in just not very friendly The only one that seemed to be really friendly was the one lady that was actually stuffing the bears she has waited on us before when we were there and she's always very nice and friendly made you feel welcome and that you belong. I do hope that if we should happen to go back that it's a little different experience
katie zeiger: Build-A-Bear will NEVER get my business again. After a visit today where employees visited on their off day dressed as furries, I will not be back. The employees encouraged them to play peek a boo with children whose parents were visibly uncomfortable. Walking around the store shaking their “tail.”When checking out, they refused to talk to tell their coworker their phone number and because of the paws they were wearing they couldn’t even show numbers with their hands. A friend had to pull their number up on their phone to relay to the cashier. I wish I could make this up.

First, she didn't acknowledge me at the register. I have to say excuse me. Then when she was checking me out not once did she ask anything got the bear check me out I paid and said thank you. I said don't you put them in a box she said we don't. I said do you have boxes she proceeded to say yes but they are 1 dollar and 3 for gift box. I said gift box and I said I wish you would have told me when I checked out so that I could have only made one transaction. She checked the box out. And I paid. So 1 start for poor customer service.

E: One of the few real toy stores still around. They have so many neat toys and books. They have a large selection of games for all ages. Even toddlers! Everyone is always so nice and helpful.
Scott Levine: A good variety of toys, games, and books, including a lot of things that you won't find at "big box" stores. Much stronger selection of educational toys than you'll find elsehere. Staff is very friendly and helpful, and have good knowledge of their products.

Chelsea McDonald: We LOVE 4 Kids. I recommend it to everyone we know. They truly care about their customers. When Covid hit they transitioned to curbside pick up and even free delivery on certain days. Easter 2020 couldn’t have happened without their dedication to providing for their customers. My daughter and I went to their free “Paint a Story” class on Mondays almost every week for 2 years. Cynthia and her staff are just awesome. I can’t say enough!

Carrie Mitchell: This is my favorite toy store to shop for my 5 year old daughter, and as she grows I will continue to shop there. They have toys and books for baby to preteen. This is the only place I go to get unique gifts for birthdays we attend, they have gift cards too. The store is always changing product so their are always new things to browse. The owner and her employees are helpful and they wrap things for you free of charge (in the best selection of wrapping prints)! This place is my go to!! Worth the trip!

Our 3 Grandsons are young men now, wish I had a wonderful store like this 20 years ago.I walked in Sunday, 3/11/19, looking for a birthday gift for a adorable, energetic 3 year old boy, had several ideas presented by a very knowledgeable owner. Same experience selecting a book. What a giant asset to this Carmel/Zionsville community. And, they gift wrap! They were hits with the birthday boy AND his parents. Thank you, 4 Kids Books and Toys and its amazing owner!!!!

Nathaniel Edmunds Photography: This little book store is simply one of the best! I’ve been taking my children here since it opened and then moves to its current location. Don’t know what to buy!? Not sure how to get your child to live to read?! Then walk in and the owner will give you plenty of advice. She knows all of the books she carries. She will give you ideas for each child based on their interests. I love book stores, and this one is special. There isn’t an enormous collection but it is just right. She also carries wonderful toys. Perfect gift giving selections.
Andrew Pool: We've been to two birthday parties here for 3-4 year olds and they were great! The staff are extremely helpful, they have activities for the kids and keep changing the activities to keep the kids attention. Highly recommend, we will be having our kid's birthday here in the future if we can get on the schedule! The store is also very well stocked and has an amazing variety of books and toys.
Chantel Weigel: This is such a great, unique toy store. They have it well laid out so that there is always something for the kids to play with safely while I browse. It's nice for finding unique gifts and I really love that they have a selection of adult books at the front so I can browse those while the kids are playing. They also have some free morning programs a couple of times a week. Really, really neat place.

Tevin Fulton: My first time visiting a B-A-B workshop and I had a wonderful experience, the customer service was above and beyond!

Marlene Clark: My twin sister and I were there yesterday and it was such an awesome experience! It was our first time ever & our babies love their bears. I wish I could’ve gotten the name of the main employee helping us stuff our bears, she was absolutely sweet & awesome. She gave me a sweet idea to use our bear for tummy time and my baby boy seems to really like it. Honestly all the staff there was great. 10/10 experience, I definitely recommend this location for any bear building needs! 🏻

Ana Aljazzazy: Overwhelmed with everyone who works there and their kindness! My baby is celebrating her 4th birthday and from the moment we got there it felt so welcoming, we we very well attended. Everyone was nice and genuinely sweet. Went out their way to show me where items were. Then my baby had a sudden nose bleed and there was so much support from the employees and we’re just so great full and thankful. They even dressed my baby’s bear! Thank you
Makenzi Brandenburg: The lady who was working today was extremely helpful and even informed me that you should unstuff the bear to wash it. Then take it back to build a bear and they will fill it with new stuffing/sew it back up for free
Laura Swain-Brown: I had a very negative experience at this location. Being 9 months pregnant, I've been looking so forward to getting and building a bear for my first child. Amongst some difficulties with getting a bear itself, the customer service I experienced wasn't very positive and just left me feeling sad and embarrassed.
Livvy Owen: This is another cute shop. It's been here for awhile. Kids can go here, pick out a stuffed animal and accessories then fill it up with stuffing. It's pretty neat. All the animals are made of good quality and the accessories are very detailed! However everything is pretty expensive! So expect to pay quite a bit!
