wendy d: Ridiculous trying to get ahold of a pharmacist. Was on hold for an hour and 17 minutes. Heard them pick it up and then hang up probably so they could go to lunch. Anybody waiting on hold should be helped. Waiting on someone to pick up your call is an average of 45 minutes or more no matter what time of day you call. If they don't want to take calls there should be a message system thru the app or something.
Tom Wilson: If there were a contest for World's Worst Pharmacy, this Walgreens would win in a landslide! Prescriptions are never ready when promised or are unavailable. Obtaining accurate information is nearly impossible. Seriously, if your script is important, don't take it here.

lydia Hodapp: Terrible service, shameer (sp) at the pharmacy ignored me at the drive thru window looking at me several times without acknowledging that I am there. I ended walking in and she greeted with a smirk and tone how can I help you, after her rude interaction and passing me off to someone else- they didn’t have the prescription ready - was submitted the night before. Only gave me one of two that were needed, and as I was leaving realized had to go back thankfully before leaving the lot, the actual pharmacist came to help me now since it hadn’t been done right the first. Avoid this location if possible! Every time I come to this location nonsense and poor service. wish there were more compassion and care in servicing customers here!

Steve McGrath: This review of the Pharmacy at this location is not meant to be critical of thepharmacist nor the staff. The intent of this critical evaluation is meant to be a critical statement directed at the CEO, Board of Directors and upper level employees of the corporate entity known as Walgreen's Boots Alliance.I have been a customer of this particular pharmacy for several years. Until recently I have had nothing but good things to say regarding the level of service. However, as I, and I believe many others have seen a distinct negative change. This particular location has in recent months has reduced hours of operation blaming the "short staffing" mantra. I,as a customer, never know what the hell hours they will be open. They change hours on short notice and the way a customer finds out is to go to the location only to find a damn 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper taped to a pole located in front of the pharmacy. For me this has caused several hardships in getting timely prescriptions to members of my family which include a covid 19 patient and a diabetic. Now this location is closed on the weekends which as evidenced by lines 10-15 people deep waiting the entire day for their prescriptions on Mondays. These people working in the pharmacy are not the problem it is the assholes running Walgreens that is the problem. They should be ashamed of themselves for allowing a business to get in such horrible shape. "Staffing Problems" is an acronym for horrible business practices and lack of planning from the corporate parent. This pandemic is in its' 18th month so how the hell is that the problem now. Walgreens' you owe your customer base an apology! I for one when choosing my pharmacy for my Plan D medicare in 2022 will not forget the chaos and challenges you have left your loyal clientele in these troubled times. I also hope that these "staffing Issues" are not affecting Walgreens' pharmacies just on the east side of Indianapolis.I cannot attest to any other "staffing issues" beyond the scope of east side Indy. I only believe these "staffing issues" had better be affecting alllocations of Walgreens and not just in certain areas.10/21/21Well as a follow up to the abject incompetence of Walgreen I went to pickup a Rx this morning at 10:15 a.m. only to find out these assholes had posted one of their famous 8 1/2 x 11 pieces of paper stating they would not be open "today". This after posting on Monday they would be open Mon.-Fri. of this week. THis after I received a notice on my computer that my Rx was ready for pickup! Somewhere in this chaos there is a monumental lawsuit waiting to happen!

Hayley Wolf: Avoid if you can. Their pharmacy staff is rude and woefully incompetent. The store is chronically understaffed so your wait will be long. On multiple occasions I have been told they don’t begin to process your prescription until you come to pick it up, again causing long wait times.

Shekhar Vats: One of the worst managed Walgreens store. I had appointments for family COVID-19 booster and flu shots. After a wait of 30 minutes over appointment time, we were told to stand in a medication pickup line. Once we reached the pharmacist tech, it took her 20 minutes to add insurance info and still she was not able to proceed.Have to reschedule for a CVS.Pharmacy manager seems to be RUDE & RACIST in her behavior.Never going to use Walgreens. I will rather wait till next day, even in an emergency to go to Walgreens in the future.

I have been left on hold multiple times for over 20 minutes, a couple of times for over 35 minutes.The communication from the staff and management to their patients is horrendous. I have had to have my prescription transferred a few times now because they have been out of a particular medication. This was not communicated to me which lead me to be without my necessary medication for several days which caused huge health issues.0 stars and everyone there should be fired and replaced with a more component staff and management.

Nancy Farmer: Rude, incompetent, and insensitive staff. I just moved to a new city and have never had a problem transferring a prescription to a new pharmacy. The pharmacist at this location has failed to transfer my prescription for 3 days now, causing my medications to be late. I have waited on hold for about 30 minutes twice now to try and have this script transferred. Truly shocked by the insensitive tone, unwillingness to help, and poor communication skills from this pharmacy. I will not return and would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. 0 stars.

I do understand that there might be a shortage in workers, but the hours never match what they've written in the updated hours/ days on the window.Recently I was unable to get my prescription before I left town because the pharmacy was closed for 3 days. They had posted on a piece of paper in the window that it would be open the day we left so I didn't transfer my prescription. However they were closed when we were headed out of town. Luckily my prescription was not life dependent but for a lot of people it is. This is unexcusable.

Someone on their pharmacy team doesn't like contraceptives and are making it difficult to fill a perscription. I was told that my perscription was canceled, then kept switching from in process to out of stock for a whole week. I finally went there myself and got it no problem, but the cashiers wouldn't listen to my dilemma (I sure she got that a lot and it wasn't her fault). The woman behind me had the same problem, and I was told we're not the only ones at this pharmacy.

They’re impossible to reach by phone, and I’m missing doses because of it. Don’t place something as important as your health in their hands.

They are literally never open and I am constantly delayed on my prescription and miss taking it for days because they can't be bothered to adequately staff this location. My insurance requires a Walgreen's and now I think maybe it is because they are literally never open and can get out of paying for my meds. They should just close the store if they can't keep it staffed.

I had to wait 30 minutes for it, I get it home, AND ITS A SCRIPT THAT MY MOTHER DOESNT TAKE! I go back with wrong script and they say that the correct script wasn't called in, and I have proof that it was! They gave me the wrong controlled substance! It could have killed her if I hadn't noticed it was a completely different drug! BEWARE!
Brandi Bragg: This place has always been my go to for prescriptions. My fiancé has been trying for days to just pick up a filled prescription, but they are either on an endless lunch break and or closed. If you have life altering medication I would not put your life in their hands. And did I mention the very unfriendly lady that works the window? I asked the cashier to please call another cashier. She said she was the only cashier. I waited to talk to her til she rang up my order. I asked her if she was the manager. She said she wasn't. I asked her to call the manager because she can act as a second cashier. She said the manager was doing her work. I said I think when the line is this long she should be out here. She said she was busy. I asked if she was sleeping? No just busy. I asked for the cashier's name and she refused to give me her name. She didn't apologize for the long line or slow service. She probably assumed she didn't need to be nice to me. Customer service? What is that? Before today I've usually had great or good customer service. Today this lady was just rude. I'm 100% disabled. I'm willing to pay the higher prices at Walgreens if I don't have to walk far or stand in line long. Today wasn't helpful. The cashier only rang up half of my stuff. I had to ask her to ring up the 5 items on the counter. Also, she was hiding her name tag. I wouldn't recommend going here between 5-8pm.
Kathryn King: The hours on the website were wrong so we got there 2 minutes after closing. The pharmacist refuses (rudely, without compassion) to give my daughters prescription for her ear infection (which we had tried to pick up earlier but wasn't ready even though it was hours after it was called in). Then she told us that we could just get it transferred to a 24 hour pharmacy, only to find after going to a 24 hour pharmacy that the Walgreens has to be open for that to happen. So she refused to serve us and essentially lied to us. Now we can't get our daughters prescription (they are closed tomorrow for labor day). Horrible service. Would not recommend!
Lindsay Lagasse: My partner and I just got our Covid 19 vaccine. Our tech, Mary, was extremely friendly and personable. She eagerly talked about us being truckers, showing real interest rather than just that "customer service" requirement. I have a mild fear of needles (probably branches from my bee phobia) and she kept me talking so I never even realized I received the shot. My partner is a big kid so he wanted a "lolly" for being "so brave" and she humored his craziness haha. We loved the experience, which is such an odd concept for a simple vaccine trip.
Josel Covarrubias: Big old cotton candy pharmacist tells me the pharmacy is closed for a whole day knowing, as a pharmacy technician myself; pharmacies should never be closed. I have a controlled substance to pick up and being told that is incredibly unprofessional. They closed early, and had the audacity to tell me to come back two days later to pick up my medicine. Why send me that text? Incredibly unprofessional.As a pharmacy tech myself, that is beyond rude and unacceptable. You are playing with peoples medicine because your big self wants to sit home and watch furries.
Hannah Bond: I no longer use this pharmacy, but when I did use it, they didn't seem to pay close attention to the prescription. I had a prescription that they would sub out for a generic version of, but it caused me issues so my doctor put a note on my prescription to NOT sub it out. They continued to sub it out every single time regardless and it resulted in me having a lot of medical issues that I've had to work through - and it all could have been avoided if they actually read the prescription closely. On a different note, it was always clean and ready quickly.

Brooke: Started new medication and they went so far to call and see if I had questions or anything about the new medication. That was so above and beyond. It may be a little more expensive for some things than Walmart but for the ease & convience it's well worth it!I was at this location last night getting my monthly prescriptions refilled. I had some other things to purchase; when I went through the front checkout I asked Derrick for some of my brand of cigarettes. Right now my voice is a little raspy & hoarse; & for some reason he felt it was necessary to comment that "It sounds like you've already had too many of these" meaning my cigarettes! I was taken by surprise at the comment & just shook my head & said "No, it was something else." Then this young man said "Asthma?" I had to give him my Mom/Grandma "look" & said "I don't want to talk about it". Please educate your front-end people to not make personal comments on the customer's purchases. I don't want to see the kid get fired, just taught to be a little more sensitive & discreet.

Cleary Brothers Vacuum: I've been there many times, and everyone at the Pharmacy is very fast and courteous. The Pharmacist even called me personally to check up, and make sure that a new medication was working properly. I really appreciated it. You can't ask for a more helpful and caring team.
Patrick McGinnis: Pharmist will not fill anything early, and if you only pick up certain meds, they violate hippa and call ur doc. Pharmacy staff has 0% customer service capibilities, and i had to file complaint with corporate office.

Brittany Hall: They are not very friendly here. But also, they need to learn the items they have in store and the items that they carry. I called and asked them if they had a product because I did not want to drive all the way to Walmart at 7 o'clock at night and they told me they did not have it. I forgot about looking online but remembered at the last second. I decided to look there real quick because I was certain they had this product. I looked online and sure enough, they sold the product so I stopped in there and bought it. I would have been very upset if I went all the way to Walmart and found out later they had it. If you do not know if you have a product or if you carry a certain thing, don't just tell a customer no when they call. Put them on hold and find out. That's called customer service. Something they clearly don't have.

Rebecca Jones: Pre-pandemic, this was a great store. Now, the employees are over worked. If I want to pick up my prescription, I have to wait in line for at least a half hour. If I want to call and ask a question, good luck with that too. I think the covid testing and vaccines pushed them beyond their limits. It also doesn't help that Walgreens runs stupid marketing tactics that have customers arguing ahead of me in line about coupons when I just want my pills.

Rose: It’s really wild to read reviews of entitled adults justifying how they speak to and treat the pharmacy team and the customer service team. If you need help, you can just as easily walk up to the employee and say hey there’s no one at the counter. I don’t care if they were sitting on the floor picking their nose, you don’t have the right to belittle someone due to your “inconvenience”. Service and health providers have to and have been dealing with constant demands and immature behavior from customers. I’ve been going to this Walgreens for over 5 years now and it’s the same familiar and warm faces who greet you when you walk in. They’re short staffed. Yes the pharmacy has limited hours and it is inconvenient but what gives you the right to take it out on these HUMAN beings who show up to serve YOU. These are medical PROFESSIONALS you can’t just walk in off the street and start working in the pharmacy. Imagine how much restraint it takes to not retaliate when adults are throwing full blown tantrums. Yes, I’ve had to come back after the app said the script was ready. Yes, I’ve had to go a week without my prescription because my schedule and the hours didn’t match up. Yes, I’ve had to wait in long drive thru lines. However, the service I receive is always above and beyond. The pharmacy is actually very patient and want to make sure they get you your medicine…because they’ve been trained to do that, as professionals. Maybe try meeting the staff with grace, compassion, and understanding and see how it disarms a person who is constantly being verbally attacked or disregarded as an actual person day in and day out. The same group complaining about wait times and inconveniences wouldn’t dare pick up a side hustle so that some of these places wouldn’t be so short-staffed, so how can you possibly complain and pout to the people who actually show up for us? Terrible customer service is one thing but being fed up with how people lash out on you for things out of your control, NAH.To the most loyal and patient team, pharmacy and store personnel, I hope you all continue to show up and share your joy with those of us who need it and appreciate you. Frankie hodges: Visited the shadeland store today for a small purchase. Upon entering the store it was very dirty and no one was watching the counter. After getting my items and standing for what seemed to be several minutes without a checkout attendant. I “in a loud voice” asked can we please have someone at checkout. At that moment I was accosted by the team member telling me not to yell at her. I explained you have a line of 6 people all standing. No one can find you and come to find out you are talking to the woman who stocks food. She the. Was rude and disrespectful to me throughout the entire transaction. This is a common trend with this location. It’s always out of merchandise and the team members are constantly disrespectful.

Patrick Lowery: This use to be a good pharmacy. Now it's a joke. They really should just close it or fill scripts at Community location and have this as pickup location. I've had a script 1 pill for a sleep study I had a week ago still saying "in progress" and the script was sent 2 weeks ago. The lack of communication from Walgreens as a company, having to drive to location to see the pharmacy closed sign on the door, and generally having to be in physically in front of someone to get any assistance did it for me. Needless to say I have permanently switched to another pharmacy.

Stephanie Kinsey: I feel bad for the staff because there are major staffing issues, but the pharmacy is so poorly run. Hours are limited, prescriptions are not ready even when you get an automated call to pick up, wait times are excessive, and they’re at least a week behind on auto-refills unless you call to make sure it’s ready. I’ll be switching pharmacies even though my insurance covers the highest amount at Walgreens.
Lawless Calculator: One pharmacist here loves to play games and move the dates I can pick my rx up. And she's so snarky when you try to talk to her. Brian the pharmacist has always been better and when he was there with Terry especially, or Jenny, I always had fast and amazing service. But now it always seems to be this female pharmacist I absolutely cannot stand. And the prescriptions I take and have taken for years and ONLY went there, they wouldn't have enough or have it in or had some problem but tell me they'll fill it when I call or come up, sit and wait for an hour or more and they never call and let me know there's an issue. I used to absolutely adore this pharmacy but I have moved on at this point. Its too bad.
Chris Holland: I put in a refill online. Three days later I call to ask about it and they didn't get it, I confirmed that it did go through according to the site. Worst of all they refused to call my doctor for the refill. I had to go to another location and pay for it out of pocket. They were willing to call my doctor for the refill but I had already done so at that point. I will likely be switching to online medication soon if this is how things are going to go. They've gone down hill in the last year or so.
Jeanette Moon: Went to pick up myprescriptions. I was told to come back tomorrow. I said, I don't understand, do you have them? She said yes but we need to put you on a waiting list. You can come back tomorrow and get them. That makes no sense to me. She took the time to look them up, talk to me and still wants to inconvenience me, the customer. David Riggleman: If I could give them zero stars, I would. I had a covid test appointment scheduled (from three or four days ago) and even received an email this morning that everything was good to go and nothing had changed. However, I showed up to find the pharmacy closed and also found out found out four other people had also come in already with the same situation that had tests scheduled. Talk about incompetence. I will certainly be crossing off this store for any future needs.

TheDude Lebowski: Anyone know who you report a pharmacy to for incompetency? This is so messed up. I wouldn't be surprised if someone died from not getting their medications refilled. Waiting over a week for antidepressants and heart medications is very risky, and I'm not sure how the pharmacy gets away with that. Just close your pharmacy instead of giving people false hope that they'll get their medications filled. Be honest and have better communication. That way you MAYBE won't get a lawsuit thrown at you. Also, maybe try to have better attitudes. I was always nice, and still received attitude. I am so mad at this place lol ... that's an angry 'lol'. **UPDATE. I have had other pharmacies call this Walgreens so they could transfer my prescriptions, but the pharmacy can't even be bothered to do that either. How do they still have a license to operate? I'm upset enough to make sure they close for good. I found out who to report pharmacies to (in Indiana), and it's the Indiana Board of Pharmacy. Going to get the news involved too. What a bunch of jabronies.

shiyu wei: I stopped by this store to buy some eye drops. There are $12.49 buy 1 get the second one 50% off sign on the product. I picked two and when I checked out, it showed $$22.49 per each and has no promotion. I immediately questioned it and the cashier (who is 20ish, first name: Jane) asked me where I saw the sign. I showed her the spot, she was very unwillingly followed me to the spot and said the sign may not be this product. She took the sign and went back to the register to check the bar code and it showed different bar code on the sign. (Besides the bar code, the rest of the things are the same. -the brand is the same, product is the same) and when I said it’s misleading customer, she looked at me like I am the one supposedly to be blamed on. I went back to check the rest of the products on the shelf and found there are still 4 of them putting in the promotion sign to mislead the customers.To me, personally I don’t understand when the store misplaced products or promotion signs to mislead the customers and after customers pointed out their mistakes, they just acting like it’s customers’ fault to find their mistakes.The point here I would like to make is currently the young generation is too different from the old one. B Hart: My husband and I have had the worst experience here, over the past 2 weeks it's taken them to fill a prescription. Including me sitting in the drive threw for 20 minutes with employees looking at me but no one saying anything. It was well within the posted drive threw hours and no other signs. Finally someone with an extreme attitude screamed into the mic to come inside, like I was stupid. Worst customer service and if it wasn't for Brie today, we would never come back. William HM3 USN: This pharmacy used to be one I could depend on and trust. Last several months I have had issues with auto refills not being completed. Pharmacy phone calls not answered after long wait and call being terminated before speaking to pharmacy. Long waits in line, due to back filling orders for customers that had previously requested refills. Now dealing with unexpected closer. Please get more help or shut down this pharmacy. It’s not acceptable for life and death meds to be delayed and missed dosage because of missed timelines given by phone.
Honest Reviews: If you need meds asap or take something that's life or death dont use this pharmacy. I've been waiting 5 days to have two very common rx filled. I put in the order 3days before I ran out but I guess that wasnt good enough...now I haven't had my meds for 2 days because of this place. Lisa Smith: This used to be one of the best Walgreens fast and reliable. But now they’re the worst my daughter called in one prescription and waited 3 1/2 weeks finally went up there they had not filled it told her they would do it right there while she waited, after an hour they finally got it filled and it wasn’t even correct. The next prescription she called in six days before she was out still no response on it being filled or anything goes up there and they tell me that at this point they don’t fill prescriptions until people come up there to get them. What kind of business practice is that so I told them that I cannot wait an hour and either can she. I asked them to please have it ready by 10 o’clock the following morning and if it wasn’t I was going to go to their corporate office. Fast forward a few weeks my daughter calls in a prescription for her inhaler for a refill she gets notification that the insurance denied it they tried it again two or three times. So she decided that she would try a different Walgreens she did the one at 62nd and keystone and they filled it within two hours with the same insurance. I’m not sure what’s going on at this location at Washington in German church but it needs to be fixed . This is not the only complaint I have seen on Facebook where others are complaining
Delanie: They have had my prescription for a very common and generic, may substitute BIRTH CONTROL for over a month, it's still "in processing" per the recording since you can never speak to anyone. Try to call, on hold for 45 mins at least and have never had someone answer the phone in the last month, try to go in, pharmacy is randomly closed all the time. Save yourself and use a different location or Meijer or Kroger or Walmart. Anything but here.
Travis Jefferson: I'm giving them one star because of the pharmacy. I have been waiting for 3 weeks for a prescription to be filled. The pharmacy billed my insurance for a 90 day supply and only gave me a 30 day supply. They also told my insurance that I had picked up medication and I never picked any up. I have been going back and forth with the pharmacy about my medication. When I threatened to file a complaint and take legal action, they finally admitted to not filling my prescription as directed by my doctor. On 12-22-21 my medication was supposed to be ready. The next day it hasn't been filled and 12-24-21 go to check on it, the pharmacy is closed. Wow!!! I suggest that if you use this location please transfer your prescriptions to another location. Also don't attempt to call because you will be on hold for a long period of time and never speak to anyone.

Samantha Leffel: I almost always have an easy time at this Walgreens, regardless of why I'm there. Minute Clinic? Check. Covid shots/boosters/home tests? Check. Pharmacy (inside and with drive thru) with nice pharmacist & techs? Check. Snacks, household needs, sodas, holiday decor and whatnots, makeup, office supplies, chocolate fix? Check. Photo processing and small electronics needs (charging cables et al)? Check. Store clean and typically well stocked? Check. Lastly, I've never had an unfriendly checkout person. The parking lot is spacious enough for accessibility vehicles, as are the aisles inside. No clue if there's a customer-accessible bathroom, but I don't think so. Would give a 5 star if they had a couple self-checkouts, but there really isn't anywhere to put them in the front of the store, so I'm glad that the checkout line usually moves quickly.

Matthew Murga: Just spent 50 minutes on hold before the pharmacy answered. The pharm tech lady who answered was rude and dismissive because I had to have prescriptions transferred from Walmart. If you can’t handle the job find a different one. I have avoided this pharmacy at all costs but with my new insurance I have to use them. Walmart is a lot better and friendlier.
Holly Hutcherson: Well a few months back My 18-year-old daughter went to the pharmacy needing help because she could not spell the word they needed that was a prescription doctors words the lady was rude and embarrassed her in front of everyone that was in line saying if you can’t spell it then I can’t help you I let that slide and then today my fiancé goes to pick up prescriptions for me I get three filled there on a monthly basis. I knew before he went there we are going to have trouble with one of them because they never have it ready because it’s two of the same thing just different milligrams so I let him know to make sure you tell them what the name of the prescription is in the milligrams the lady is very rude he calls me so I can listen and talk to the lady and we gave her the name of two of the meds that we needed, didn’t know the name of the last one because I am not a doctor and it’s not a easy word to say. But I am in the computer where I pick them up every month but because I couldn’t give her the name she couldn’t help me. VERY RUDE TO US!!! It’s like this every month. It’s sad that there customer service and they are treating people this way.

icak fox: I'm always on hold for at least 30-45 minutes. There is another Walgreens 3 minutes East, down the street, they're always friendly and I'm never on hold for more then 5-10 minutes, if at all. Just get your meds from there.

I needed to get an over the counter inhaler, the lady said they were out and Walgreens doesn't carry over the counter inhalers anymore. I asked if she was sure because I know someone who just purchased one at a Walgreens. She goes on to tell me "Well you can go to that one then." She didn't even want to call the other Walgreens for me to see if any other locations had them in stock.

Aydian Brown: I’ve been going here a while now, so I’ll try to give an honest review, there are always bots and trolls giving biased ones. The store itself is just okay. Don’t expect amazing service, but they won’t be outright rude to you, they just do their job. The prices are higher than most other stores because it’s a drugstore, that’s what all of them do. As of the pharmacy they are just okay too. It’s not great sometimes my prescriptions are done a day late. They seem to always be busy. Not great, but not by any means bad. I’ve not used the clinic so I can’t say anything about that. Overall about a 7/10.
