The Veteran Farmer: Really enjoy going here. Staff helps me with my beginner questions. A huge selection of tools and accessories. It is super pricey though but that's my only complaint.

Garrett Henry: Disappointed. I like small buisnesses for their personal touch and customer service. While in this store with only 3 other customers I wasn't even acknowledged let alone asked to help find anything. Even after standing at the counter with items in hand to purchase and no one ahead of me for over 7 minutes... The blonde "assistant" lady was too busy flirting and feeling on the gym rat that came in and it takes 3 other associates to help 1 older customer find screws. Had to leave my items at the counter and walk out empty handed. I guess I won't be buying my stop saw here or trying any classes. Maybe I wasn't "old enough" to be worth greeting or serving in this hobby store like everyone else.

Allan: Great customer service, was greeted within moments of walking in. Prices are a bit higher than big box (avg 10-15% id estimate) but if your stuck the expertise of the store staff totally make up for the difference. Chris and waa very pleasent. Nothing like big box, if they could manage this level of service with a 5% lower price they would get five stars. All that said i dont think you will find better staff if your having a problem. These people definitely breath saw dust if you know what I mean :)

Chris Means: Great selection. Overpriced. They look out for themselves before the consumer when it comes to returns. If you use debit of cash and need to return items, THEY ONLY REFUND UP TO $50!!!! Then mail you a friggin check. By far the worst return policy I have ever heard of or experienced.I am a contractor who needed to buy items for a job. Now I have to spend my own money cause I have to wait on a $155 check. Again, to the worst and most selfious return policy ever.

Doug Barcalow: I had a great experience with the folks at Rockler Indianapolis. I was shopping for a major upgrade to my shop and they not only had what I needed but were able to help me find a better alternative, at a comparable price. When all the components arrived at the store (ahead of schedule) they notified me, had it waiting when I arrived, and helped me load my truck. Even driving from Fort Wayne (2 hour drive) it was worth the trip. Rockler is one stop I plan to make any time I’m in the Indy area.

When we got back to Michigan it had arrived, but too late for the recipient.

Bee-u-tiful Adventures: I love this store!! I consider myself an amateur woodworker with an intermediate skillset. Not once have I not been greeted at the door by one of the friendly and knowledgeable staff here. They are great! My only issue with the store is the fact that it's over an hour away from my home. But then again, maybe that's a good thing? Haha

Kurt Schilling: Have you ever walked into a store and been greeted by a shop clerk who says "Welcome to the Toy Store"? This is how this old sawdust maker was welcomed to Woodcraft on a Friday morning. I looked around and replied "You mean it isn't the candy shop?". I'd gone there to ask about tweaking my old and trusty Delta Contractors Saw. Looking around I came close to saying "I'll take one of everything". Great personal service was given by the gent who greeted me. Got my questions answered, and picked up a new, segmented drive belt for the saw. Wish I could have taken the time to wander down all the aisles, but my time and pocket book were limited. I'll be returning many times in the future. If you have questions or need new "toys" for your woodshop and want to get 'em quick this place is for you.
Gary Hensley: Haven't been there in a couple years. They have a MUCH better selection and a lot of new stuff. I would recommend it to anyone.

Woodcraft did not hesitate to take provide a replacement for my dust collector and the store got a laugh out of the video I sent them of my unboxing. Glad to have worked with a staff with a great sense of humor!

It is a beautiful shade of golden yellow with a beautiful grain pattern). Whether you are a wood turner, furniture hobbyist, of beginner, this store is worth visiting.

The Veteran Farmer: Massive selection of native and imported wood. The staff is super friendly and has that independently owned and operated vibe. I do wish they had a bigger selection of tools however their name basically implies that they're mainly for lumber.

Clod: TLDR: This is only a good place if you already have the set up you need, know a lot about what you're doing, and don't need to ask questions.I am a beginning woodworker who has been to NW Lumber many times over the last 1.5 years because I was given gift certificates there. Most of my experiences have been ambivalent at best. I have come to buy a basic set of chisels 3 separate times (Feb, April, and now December) only to be told every time that they "usually have it" and be offered no supportive alternatives- not ordering, not comparable products, not other places I can get it, nothing. I have multiple times asked questions just to be told "I don't know that much even though I've been here a while", and NOT directed to someone who could answer my questions or actually give me guidance. I have come to this place and walked out empty handed more times than I have successfully used my gift certificates.I finally spoke my frustrations to a friend who is an expert carpenter, and he said he does not go there because of a experience when he called in an order, went to pick it up, saw it was not the type of lumber he asked, and the staff insisted that what he was looking at was that lumber- and it certainly was not.Overall, my opinion that has formed is this place is only beneficial for people who know a lot already and don't need to trust the guidance or assistance of the employees here.

Drew: I discovered Northwest Lumber about 5 years ago, and I haven't gone anywhere else since when I need high quality lumber for making furniture. They're not quite as cheap as your standard big box hardware store, but the quality of the lumber and the level of help and expertise from the employees isn't something you'll find at those big stores. I can't bring myself to make a piece of furniture with bowed boards from a big store. I highly recommend any woodworkers in the area to check this place out.

Savanna Lueken: The joy I receive from having my space decorated with products from local artisans is always worth the maybe slightly higher price tag. Sure I could have gone to Ikea and found a cheap, built-it-yourself coffee table but instead I went to Indy Urban Hardwood and found this beauty. The owner Brian gave new life to this Indiana ash tree that was lost to the emerald ash borer who is wiping out these poor trees. Now I’m always tickled by the compliments I receive on this piece from every visitor who sits in this space- I get to tell them about the new life this tree was given and where they can go to purchase a unique piece of their own.So the wood selection at Indy Urban Hardwood is obviously top notch. But I also love learning about all the spaces Indy Urban has played a role in helping to create. For example, one of my favorite spots in the city: Hi-Fi was built with the help of Brian and his team. And I’ve learned of so many other spots around the city he’s transformed and brought new life to like Hi-Fi. Talk about supporting local in more ways than one- bravo Brian! Now go get yourself some local wood folks. ✌🏼

Janice Warner: Unfortunately, I was there to get a refund for an installation I had paid for. I had been in in February to purchase 2 outside doors and arranged for installation. I canceled the order in late March after not being contacted about the project. The company doing the installation called me 2 days later. Too late!

nansey asaro: I get dipped. Not a good selection of colors. And didn't use a base or top dipped coat. 1 week after service I had a nail split. Supposed to have 1 coat clear. 1 coat top. With 2 coats color in between. Dissatisfied

Patrick Bell: They never have good prices besides on wood that was pre cut and people brought back cause they didn't want it or wrong size so they sale discounted but parts wise they never have what u want in plumbing or tech the workers don't know anything about there products and try telling u what u need to do. If u do your own work or have a business don't do Lowes go to menards they always have the parts for everything alot cheaper then lowes home depot for same exact product and in the end the rebate checks r by far better then the Lowes card
D.W. Everett: Went to get some corrigated hose. No one to help but after I found this girl she said she would get her boss. She talked to him for a minute and he looked right at me and just turned and walked away!! Customer service sucks here!!!

Cavelle R: This Lowes is absolute garbage. Second time going there and they didn’t have what I was looking for. And of course no one asked me if I needed anything. This was the first time.The second time I went there to look for something I checked online first to see if it was in stock and it said there was 13 available. Got there and there was only 1 and it was open because someone stole the pieces. Still no assistance…the only person who bothered to say something was the gutter vendor booth at the front door.Went down the street to The Home Depot, immediately got helped without asking and found what I was looking for. Don’t go to that lowes.
