Eliza Craig: Wow. . This hotel was just really really bad. Smoke free, lies. The bed was like sleeping on a metal cot and if you want an actual comforter I’d suggest you bring one with you because all you get is a thin throw blanket. It smelled and felt damp then entire time oddly and if you bring your pet WATCH OUT the amount of garbage in the grass was repulsive. I’d rather let my dog pee inside. Bathroom was def not clean at all. It was just an all around bad experience and I regret staying here.

Mark Plummer: Very friendly desk,easy check in with online reservation. The room is clean and everything works. Hot coffee in the morning. This is the second time we have stayed here for events, no problem at all. We stayed 3 days both times. If you reserve online, I would make sure of the front desk hours. Ter Der: If I could rate zero stars for this location I would. Several months ago, after driving all evening and booking my room online ahead of time I arrived at the WoodSpring Castleton location at around 3am. The parking lot was fairly empty and the front desk appeared to be closed with the shutters pulled down. When I picked up the phone to confirm my room a younger fellow answered, "we don't have any rooms right now". I replied, "Hi, I'm great thanks. I'm here from out of town and already made my reservation ahead of time online." And he replied, "I said we don't have any rooms clean". I hung up the phone and immediately walked over to the SureStay where I was placed in a room within minutes. No issues. No attitude. The next morning I see on my account that I've not only been charged the full price of my reservation from WoodSpring Castleton, but I was marked as a no show and charged an extra fee. I called the hotel several times and finally spoke to the front desk associate explaining my experience the night before. They refused to give me any kind of refund claiming the interaction wasn't logged and it was my responsibility to follow up regarding when rooms would become available again. My account was charged $115 after receiving horrible customer service and never having stepped foot into the lobby. I left my information for the hotel manager to call on their next visit but haven't gotten a call back to this day.

Anna Richards: Caution when making a reservation! I made a reservation over a week in advance, when I arrived to the location they said they had no record of it. I had a confirmation code and charge to my card but they still insisted I didn’t have a reservation. Last minute had to find another place to stay. Very disappointed and won’t ever be staying at any Woodspring suite.
Denise Caldwell: The bed was hard, very uncomfortable. Floor in the room was dirty. After walking on it all night, my feet were black! Looks like the floor hasn’t been mopped in awhile. Went in search of the ice machine, only to be told they don’t have one due to being an extended stay hotel. What!? I’ve stayed in extended stay hotels before and they have had been ice machines. The attendant suggested I go to the gas station or go to Walmart and get ice cube trays. 😳 Um, no! I mean… how hard is it to install an ice machine. ALL hotels have them! Very unhappy with my stay here. Would not stay again.

Joshua Meyer: I want to hate this hotel. I want to hate it with the passion of a 1000 blazing suns. And I do have reasons to hate it. But I didn't book the hotel, my wife did. So I'm going to hate her instead until I eat my pancakes at IHOP.First impression was poor. After checking in and walking to the elevator, the hallway reeked of pot. I had my 3 year daughter with me so I would prefer she doesn't get used to that smell until at least junior year in high school.2nd impression was the room. It wasn't great. Spartan with utility-esque beds and furnishings. Coffee makes was 10$ extra btw.. the room was warm too. Very warm. The AC unit didnt work! The front desk said they had no extra rooms. Would they like maintenance to come look at it? At 630 at night? NO!The last thing I will complain about were the pillows. They were tiny. Very very tiny. And lumpy. Between the awful temp and the small lumpy pillow i got one if the worst nights sleep in recent memory.There were other things, but they weren't the hotels fault.It took me until the morning to realize this was an extended stay hotel. For workers traveling for their jobs. For that purpose the hotel is adequate if not accommodating. For a family of 3. Avoid it. Spend the extra 20 or 30 dollars on a better place.
Hashani Lewis: The staff was very helpful, nice and friendly I was disappointed in the room as I reserved a 1 Queen bed room and got two double beds for a couple cleanliness of the room could have been better one ned sheets had a big yellow stain right in middleI bring my own sheets and disinfectant to hotels so it’s a good thing I was prepared. Bathroom cleaning was subpar. Few cosmetic fixes could be done as well. Dirty floors and countertops, dirt and hair in the bathtub, food smears on the counter top in the kitchen, no plates, no utensils, no pots or pans, no dishes; dirty floors, dust and dirt on every surface, even dirt in the drawers of the dresser. Moldy/waste ring in the toilet bowl. Dirty bathroom sink countertop.False advertising by Extended Stay America. They claim every property is stocked with pots, pans, dishes and utensils. False. They will sell you a "kit" for $40 Which includes practically nothing and would cost 10 bucks at the nearby Dollar General or Walmart.They claim to offer high speed Internet for free for every room. False. Very slow. Outrageous Extra Charge for high-speed.The hallways are dirty, and smell very strongly of marijuana and incense.The exterior is also Absolutely Filthy.

Valerie M: Due to a late event we needed late check out. Before booking we called and asked about a late check out. We were told we could get a late check out for $10 an hour for every hour we stayed over 11. We even confirmed with them on the phone that we wanted to check out at 2 PM. When we checked in, we spoke to the gentleman at the front desk and advised him we wanted late check out as well. We told him what we were told on the phone. He also gave us the option of paying for another day and utilizing an extra day. We confirmed with him we wanted a later check out. No need to stay an additional day. Imagine my surprise this morning when a very rude lady knocked on the door at 11:30. I explained to her that we had arranged a late check out, and she told me there was no such thing as late check out. There was nobody at the desk when we left to request a refund. It’s irritating that we confirmed late check out two times only to be denied this morning. Don’t waste your money here.I could care less if people smoke pot, but I do find it funny they give you a huge lecture about smoking in the hotel and as you’re standing there being lectured people are walking in smoking pot. The whole hotel smells of it.

There are alot of locals using it as apartments. The rooms are smelly and the beds are like cots you see in a jail dorm. sasha jent: Heater was broken- and only ran on high so either you melt or freeze. It also runs incredibly loud and squeaky- you can’t even hear the tv over it. Room was dirty, crumbs and spilled liquid on the counter, floor had not been swept properly, little stove top was filthy. The fridge has disgusting handprints and dirt all over the outside. A single bottle of Lysol would have gone a long way. Looks like the cleaner just made the bed and called it a day. Hair on the sheets, Mattress was terrible- bedding minimal and gross. We had to go out late at night and purchase blankets and pillows of our own because the ones in the room were more than questionable. Toilet flushes when it wants to…sometimes 30 minutes after you engage the handle. Cops in and out all night and day, ambulances etc. Constant commotion and chaos. People running around and being crazy upstairs all day and night- no peace or quiet. Dirty needles litter the parking lot- I can look out my window and see multiple. This is one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at in awhile. Not a spot to stay with children. Also $25 per night for a pet fee that was not disclosed when booking online. (Not a big deal for me but could be for others) I see many reviews claiming they were charged different rates for pets- some saying only $5 per night? When booking online it says “pet friendly” and “ask for a pet friendly room” but does not mention a pet charge

Anja Willis: LIST OF CONS:They have roaches really bad.Since it has swapped from WoodSpring to ESA corporate office has really messed them up. They are a “self service hotel” which means they really expect people to live long term here. They charge an additional 25$ fee per per with a limit of two per room.LIST OF PROS: They have an amazing staff. They are super friendly and helpful. If it weren’t for the staff I would have totally given one star. They are pet friendly with no breed restrictions(I don’t know if this is a fact. I just know Ive seen several Pitbull mixes.)They don’t charge for service animals. They are timely with repairs. They have an on call night attendant if there are any issues. They are within walking distance to food and a gas station. Seriously if it weren’t for the bugs I would approve but unfortunately Anja VETOS!

Chantell: They have a bad smell from all the animals in the building and I seen pests in the room way over price and everyone hangs outside in front of the hotel all day and night the front desk closes to early and it’ll the hallways stay dirty.
Victoria Boykin: Ridiculous right off the bat. The room is actually great... However most of the guests are not. Children running around tearing property up while unsupervised. Screaming kids all night outside playing till early morning hours. Parents of said kids don't care and treat this place like an apartment complex and let their kids act like a bunch of wild heathens then get mad when they are told to watch their kids and go inside after 10 pm. We pay way to much to not be able to sleep in peace at night or to be able to go outside without kids running around tearing stuff up , throwing rocks or just being loud and rude. They need to lower the prices if this is what is allowed around here. Ridiculous.

Staff was friendly.Reading through the past recent reviews, I either lucked out with the room or they did some remodeling to clean the rooms up. No holes in walls, AC was fine, walls were clean, no bugs.There are a lot of people hanging around it in the parking lot, they were just chilling and drinking, I assume because they wanted to smoke and can't smoke inside. No big deal but it made parking and unloading the car a bit more of an experience.The whole hotel has a smokey smell though so someone was smoking indoors or something.My room was very warm upon arrival but a few hours of the ac fixed that. Just wasn't pleasant to come in to a room that warm. Luckily I had to head out for a few hours right away or it would have been a rough hour or so.Later on that night when I was ready for bed I noticed the following:- Only two towels for four people- One bed did not have a top sheet, just a blanket to sleep under- No remote for the TV- phone in room does not work- alarm clock buttons don't do anything as they are too worn down.Rooms do have a kitchenette with a microwave, full size fridge, sink and stove.I wasn't expecting much but was still slightly disappointed.

Tori Bonfantino: If I could give this “hotel” negative stars, I would. We were in town for an event and booked a room here as a last minute decision and there were bed bugs, cockroaches, and stink bugs in the room. Not to mention the dog being beat down the hallway and the rancid smell. We weren’t even there 10 minutes before we turned around and left. I have tried getting in contact with the GM for two weeks by email & phone to no avail. Trust me, go ANYWHERE other than here.

Sherry Knoll: I had a mini stroke and my daughter lived two floors above and I paid for the next 2 days on it cuz I have that's room for over 30 days ...now they're rooms were weak was almost $600 and they were not worth it but when you have to live at a place that needs refrigerator and stove I guess that's what you have to pay . Can't find houses can't find apartments... but take my advice it's not worth it don't spend out the money. ... The office people they charge you whatever they want to charge you and if you're not paying for the week when you've been there over 30 days so you don't have to pay taxes they go ahead and then charge you more of an amount per day... and what you supposed to be paiding for . And make up the room prices so like I said it's not worth it it's not worth the hassle they told my daughter that she couldn't have linen or 3 days because a church had helped her so she can have linen for 3 days.....
