And low and behold my appointment had been canceled and she tells me “the other 2 are automated”. Time wasted!! Maybe the 2 automated messaging should be removed if you’ve canceled someone’s appointment. And no apologies. We have brought our older dog there for years you’d think customer service would be better:(

Gork Greg: This vet said the animal did not have an infection when they did. I can tell that the animal did, and when I took it to another vet, they confirmed that it had a severe bacterial infection. Their actions put the animal's health at risk.

debra richards: They are unable to handle a dog that is timid or has anxiety going to the vet!!! They sedated my dog when we agreed it was not in the best interest since she had to have IV fluids trying to pass a foreign object…plus they put a leather muzzle on her so it wasn’t necessary! I had to take her for emergency surgery because they don’t have the staff! It was when I arrived at the EVCC in Westville I noticed she was almost falling over and when she ended falling asleep she peed herself and didn’t even realize it! Never having a problem at either of the Emergency Veterinary Care Centers with being able to handle my dog! Time to find another that can…

She truly cares about your pet’s well-being, while also being sensitive to how their humans might be feeling, and is sure to go over all available options, the pros and cons of each, and gives her recommendation without making you feel judged at all if you decide to move forward with another option. She goes above and beyond to explain things, and even suggests ways to save money if a particular medication or supplement is available over the counter at a store or human pharmacy instead. We’ll never take our pups anywhere else.

Christopher lehman: I took my dog Zeus to Weston veterinary clinic I got his rabies shots and is microchip. They were so good with him that he had. needle stuck in him and didn't even realize it. They just were very good with him and that's why I always count on going there.

Waiting area has divided seats so we can stay separate from other animals that come in if need be, and they offer a first responder/military discount as well. But the experience is always nice.As you step through the door you and your pet are greeted, and cared for up till you leave.I even called once to ask if they could email me their vaccination records for a grooming appointment, and they had great customer service over the phone!

Amanda Jacob: Since moving to South Bend I have stressed about finding the right vet for my dog. I am thrilled to have found Family Pet Health Center. My dog Mr. Harvey has several chronic conditions that need to be monitored and he is truly like my kid. He sees Dr. Stephanie Rensberger and she is so thorough and takes the time to answer all my questions. I first started going there with the intention of getting him acupuncture for his arthritis. She said that she would totally do it if I want, but she usually waits till it progresses more. She also evaluated his risk factors and age and changed his vaccine regimen by removing some that aren't needed. I love that they really seem to do what is best for the pet instead of just racking up charges. Honestly they are only slightly more expensive than our previous vet, but its well worth it for the quality of care we have received. I absolutely would recommend them for anyone looking for a vet!

They got her in, had her records from her vet in South Dakota, and promptly checked her stools, gave her medications and sent us home with her medications and food. At first we seemed happy but after several visits, we soon realized they were giving us no information and just doing procedures and other things to get more money out of us.We ended up taking him to his regular vet, Tender Care, and my goodness could we have saved ourselves a lot of heartache and MONEY!Tender Care is the best name possible for this Vet because, simply put, they truly do provide Tender Care. They were so joyous to see my little guy and treated him like he was their own pet.The took me back to show me his injury, something the emergency vet never even game me information on, and I felt so pleased to finally understand what was going on.Tender Care then took time out of their busy schedules to update him on all of his vaccines, moving my appointment up to that same day so that I didn't have to waste time and come back.Everyone here is INCREDIBLE! They truly feel like apart of my pets family.I cannot say enough great things!Thank you, Tender Care Veterinary Clinic!

M N: The staff is great, the service is great, they take great care of my pets. Not real into the parking lot service, especially since lockdowns have been over, but it's worth sitting out in the car I guess.
Dave Hock: They have taken care of my dog for 12 years. They have provided excellent care. Dr. Lauren, Dr. Lisa and all of their techs have gone above and beyond. Their only fault is not taking CareCredit but that is ok.

Hayden Beckwith: Very unprofessional staff. Wasn't greeted and all of the younger assistants didn't give any care into the work. Took forever to get a response from the Doctor there. Roseland Animal Hospital and River valley are the better choices hands down.

Lisa Borsch: Only thing is they didn't warn us they're still doing no contact visits before we came. That would've been nice. On a more positive note we learned that for 8 years we didn't realize Chi's name with his owners last name Do combined together was Cheeto. Lol. Thank you to the receptionist who giggled at it. We love word puns and never realize that it was one. Lol
Avril Do: I went in for an emergency visit for my 8 year old cat. This is the 2nd emergency he’s been in for and the staff has always been great.The questions they asked about my cat’s condition before the appointment were very thorough. Because of COVID you wait in the car and and you communicate to the office over the phone. I didn’t know until I got there but the staff was very communicative and understanding.

Lexi Nawrocki: Horrendous experience that has traumatized my dog. We won’t be back. To top it all off, they NEVER answer their phones. I decided to drive down (only for them to tell me they couldn’t help me or see us again because my dog wasn’t socialized enough?). The receptionist appeared to be doing nothing, and no patients were waiting to be seen, but still no phone calls were being answered. Unacceptable after I’ve spent hundreds of dollars here and referred 100s of people to this clinic. After their recent expansion, customer care/service has declined.

Rebecca Gearhart: Everyone here is amazing. I found my kitten when she was 4 or 5 weeks old so have had to come in regularly to make sure she gets all the shots she needs. Everyone is so nice and even though they seem busy I've never waited too long and the vet always seems happy to see Eevee :)
