George Hunt: Really was hoping for more...My wife and I went to the chili cook off that the public house participated in a couple months back. Their chili was by far the best there so we decided the first nice day we would go try the restaurant and dine outside.The experience was a major let down. My wife and I are both servers and tend to be overly understanding of problems both in an out of a servers control. Usually a bad experience with a server can be saved by the kitchen. Or fast service and a full drink can save bad food... Well, neither side stepped up today.Came to dine at about 430. We were slow to be sat (with no wait and 3 maybe 4 servers on), slow to be greeted by our server (only had 3 tables including us). It took over 10 minutes just to get the table we were sat at wiped - not the servers fault though; whomever sat us had said they'd be right back.5+ minutes after geeeting to get a bar drink and a soda.Apps dragged out slow too, but were the only highlight of the experience as they were delicious (hummus and the goat cheese).Order two burgers since that's what they are "known for" - the stacked and the pulled pork. Ordered both medium. Both came well done. The stacked has an egg that's supposed to be served over easy and could have potentially saved the well done burger since it would supply some juice - fried hard. Even the extra side of mashed was forgotten for our baby.We were looking for a great casual dining place to frequent this summer and Public House just fell in line with what seems to be the standard in the industry now a days. Like I'm not even mad, just really disappointed. Tresonn Anderson: First time trying this place, thought it was just hyped up but turned out to be very delicious and an overall good experience, was able to split a burger meal and the bowl of chili(not cup)between 2 people and feel adequately full while also not breaking the bank.Servers were kind and polite, made the atmosphere warm and welcoming, chili was chili’ing and the burger was nice and juicy, had to be one of the best I’ve had at a restaurant.Will visit again and next time take photos of this goodness as I was too eager to do so this time.

Raquella Dunker: My husband loved the menu selection. Enjoyed the combination of flavors and spices. Was like nothing I have ever had before. Also, the food presentation was beautiful. Feel fortunate to have found this place during a weekend trip to South Bend.

My hot chicken sandwich had layers of different spice flavors, not just a one-dimensional heat. And my wife’s Baharat Chicken had so many flavor dimensions.We hope folks in South Bend recognize what this place is doing!

In both taste and appearance of each dish, there is so much attention to detail. We went 8/6/22 and Robert (? name) was an excellent server who made the experience even better. Our cocktails were delicious! We have tried many dishes at Bantam, and have never been disappointed. Last night I had the Barramundi, which is a fish I had never tried before. The fish was cooked perfectly and the glaze, rice, and vegetables blended beautifully with it. My husband and daughter loved their Fried Chicken Dinner (big portions, he even took a leg home!) and Rieff sandwich. We also tried the Sticky Califlower and potato empanadas, which were great. And then there was the dessert--you have to try whatever they are offering because, again, the details...an absolute treat!My first review:We went here for the first time for my birthday and all 6 in our party were very happy with our food and drinks! My favorite was the coconut shrimp, but we had a wide variety of items from the menu and they were all delicious. Make sure to try the empanadas! Our server was friendly and helpful, as well. We will definitely be back!

Jake Livingston: This place is great!The service was excellent, the beer selection was awesome, and the food was super yummy.If I had one gripe, it would be that I ordered the xxx-hot chicken sandwich and wasn’t even remotely hot. Like wouldn’t even hit the mild level at most hot chicken places. I suspect that was a fluke and I’m excited to try again to see if I can get one that’s actually hot. Regardless, my surprisingly mild chicken sandwich was delicious and I would absolutely get it again.If you’re looking for a properly Hot chicken sandwich, maybe look the server in the eye and say “tell them to make me regret this decision” or something along those lines haha.

It has delicious appetizer and dinner options (including vegetarian entrees) as well as unique cocktails. Our waiter, Robert, was very attentive, kind, and even made us special dessert cocktails.Can't wait to go back to Bantam next time I am in South Bend!

Robert Conner: This place is amazing and I absolutely love each and every visit. Bantam thinks outside box, and has the best fried chicken which pairs exceptionally well with the crab hushuppies which covered in a lemon herb sauce. The staff here is amazing they help to accommodate a variety of dietary needs including gluten free. Servers are quite friendly even though overworked seem to go above and beyond make everything perfect. Drinks are well made and tasty especially for the price, tonight I had a peanut butter smores martini where the bartender actually came out and lit my marshmallows on fire, tasted just like I was sitting at a campfire which was perfect for after dinner desert. This place is a must visit, get out the norm and try something exquisite. I will definitely be returning again and again.
Davids Hands: I have to say the service was poor. More than once we literally left our table to look for a server.The menu options we certainly not "common". "Odd" might be a better description.I won't say "never again" but I can't think of a reason to return.
Molly Abraham: Donte (cook/owner) is a FOOD GENIUS. I have never been disappointed and everything I have ever ordered is well worth the value and is a healthy portion. The food is absolutely incredible. The entrees are unique and change frequently. The cocktails are fantastic and are high quality. The mixology is very impressive and the liquors are good quality.I have seen some reviews that say they are “overpriced” or have “small portions”. Some people don’t understand there’s a price for quality. Everything is INCREDIBLY reasonable for what it is and if prices went up I would still be willing to eat here. For the quality, the prices are incredible. Those of you who think it is undersized or overpriced, I invite you to McDonalds for a couple Big Macs. Large portions and cheap prices, you’re welcome.
