Chamberlain Lake Nature Preserve: what do users think?
Melody Muckenfuss: Short, easily traversed trail. Some years ago the woods were damaged by a tornado or wind sheer. The remains of that, and the ways nature is healing itself, are fascinating.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Price for adult entry Free …More
Jackie Fanson: Nice easy hike through the woods. Not much to see at the 'lake' but the woods are interesting and quiet!Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More
RJ M: Peaceful walk began and ended with a different color butterfly. Only teeny tiny toads crossed my path.Visited on Weekend Wait time No wait Reservation recommended No Price for adult entry Free …More
Morgan Byrd: Trail is lovely and all the trees surround you the whole way.Visited on Weekday Wait time No wait …More
Keni Price: Beautiful, peaceful
leslie wikstrom: Beautiful and easy walking/hiking
Brando Helmsworth: Perfect short trail maybe 45 minutes at a slow pace. Beautiful wetlands.
Austin Sowers: Great place to relax.
Christopher Macknick: Great for a short walk.
Sarah Nixon: This would be a nice trail, but EVERY time I go people are out there with their dogs off leash like they own the place and my dog and I keep getting chased and attacked because people are not in control of their animals.
J Mucinski: Quaint quick trail I did with my little dogs. Only issue is there is alot of poison ivy. Stay on the trail.
Elliot Lee: Nice out of the way place with a hiking trail. Not much of a lake to see, but it's still worth the trip.
Anthony Yovino: Nice nature preserve just outside of south bend.
R Mallard: Peaceful, nice trails
Julian Alcantar: It's a swamp
Shawn Park: Good to protect natural vegetation
Carrie Lipsey: Went here for the first time in over 20 years of knowing it was there. Nice little walk
Josh Winczewski: Nice and peaceful
Jim Kring: Nice place for a little hike, relaxing places
Dale Kusmiez: Nice little trail
Keshava Mysore: Was there for a very short time. But it is a great place for exploring nature during various season of the year. Also a good place for birding for which we were there. The only issue is it is not very easily identifiable from both sides of the road.

Beverly D. Crone Restoration Area: what do users think?
Toner211: Incase anyone needs a reminder, there is a leash law. Please respect others and properly mind your canine friend! Some people/dogs wish not to be approached
Phil Crone: Named for my grandma who was St. Joe County’s first female County Commissioner and Auditor. She spent much of her retirement in the garden and would have loved this place. Honored to know her memory lives on here.
Scott Nielsen: Couldn't find a place to part. Very poor signage!
Elliot Lee: This is a former landfill that has been turned into a nature preserve with gravel walking trails. There are lots of birds to see if you're a birder, a few miles of trails. We love to come here on Saturday afternoons with the kids - it's a place for them to safely ride their bikes beyond the confines of the driveway.
Karen Brown: What a wonderful nature preserve! If you are a birder, it is a great place to see a variety of grassland birds, as well as a diverse collection of plants and wildflowers. Highly recommended to bird and nature lovers!
Tom Rozek: Great place to walk dogs as long as people pick up the dog's mess
Zachary Frieben: A very nice place for a country walk. Lots of birds around for the bird lovers like me :)
Todd A. Parker: Great place for a hike or bike ride!
Keshava Mysore: A must and should place if you are a avid birder, great trails for hiking, running or biking
Justin Kintzele: Great place to walk or jog, and the best place around to find Bobolink.

Spicer Lake Nature Preserve: what do users think?
Penny Baich: Dog-friendliness: Don't have a dog anymore, but have seen many people walking theirs
Dale Powell: Very nice place
Joe Beath: Nice trails especially in the fall!
James Funk: This nature reserve has a very nice walkway to get an overview of the area. It also has a wonderful wooded area for a relaxing stroll.
The Dude: Big park with lots to do. Trails are wide and well maintained. You have no access to either lake. There's no beach or any way I found to get out to them.
Aaron Martinez: Had lunch on a bench at one of their 3 lakes with my girlfriend and had a lovely day. Definitely reccomend for a leisurely time or if you want to go for a run.
Marjorie Olah: Great place to take a nature walk. Very nice park.
Bertrand Hochwald: Nice place, beautiful setting. Small lake with boardwalk thru marshes. Highly recommended.
Robert Holmer: I took a walk with my dog.
Marek Konieczny: Gotta love nature but the only downfall is how bad the horseflies were they literally chased us out of the trails! It was literally unbearable and I've never seen it that bad anywhere before
Robert Long III: great trails
Justice Isfake: Had a fun little hike 😊
Mary Pryke: They have bathrooms and they are always clean. Nice trails. Tables to eat at. Always clean nothing bad to say
JD Moffitt: Wonderful scenery, trails, and boardwalks. One of my favorite parks around.
jackie holler: Great spot to go on a long hike- lots of birds great nature spot!!
Dedrie Miller: We love it for easy hikes with the kids and the dogs, and it's also close to home.
Jim Wolf: What a great place to hike.
John Neary: Nice little hiking park. Worth 3 hours of your time.
Jackie Fanson: Beautiful fall color and quiet time with nature. Enjoyed the trail-boardwalk to the lake. Lots of leaves turning and berries showing. Nice, easy, quick trail.
Samantha Flesh: Beautiful fall foliage, well kept trails, unique scenery and well kept trails.
monica cox: It's been a few years since I have visited here but the natural beauty and serenity has not changed at all. The boardwalk is astetically pleasing as much as it is an opportunity to view wildlife you seldom see in the city. I suggest a family visit while the weather is still nice.
