Bryan Schutjer: I'm disappointed. Earlier this year, I purchased my 3 Bennington Boat (a 2021 Bowrider). I took delivery in May and noticed numerous factory problems (broken headrest, damaged gelcoat, wrong bimini hardware, etc.). The dealer I purchased through tried all summer to get the required parts and Bennington didn't deliver. Now, 5 months later, many of the items still aren't fixed. Wrote the CEO (Mr. Vogel) and still no response from anyone. If you're thinking about a Bennington, just know that they don't seem to care much about the customer after the purchase is made.
Joel Hagen: Just received my new 2021 Bennington RSBW.I’ve only had it for three weeks and so far no issues. But I’m a little disappointed with the lack of thought going into The user experience. Especially when you’re paying six figures.As I see complaints about pricing, let’s be real, we all know boats are a complete rip off. But we all still made a choice to spend the money. Probably twice as much as they are actually worth.The problem I’m having is I could not see what mine would physically look like because I ordered it and they had none on site. Don’t get me wrong, I get compliments left and right, it is a beautiful boat. But so many things could be done much better for the user at really no more cost.Cupholders are ridiculous. For the driver and passenger they’re basically down on the floor tucked into the side and our cups are apparently too tall to even fit in there. Basically yeti style cups that are only 7 1/2 inches tall. They do not fit.Second problem is the mooring cover is completely cheap along with the Bimini. You can see light through both of them rather easily and they’re only single stitch., the mooring cover leaks. And the most ridiculous part of all is the mooring cover does not cover the deck on the front of the boat like a Harris does for example. So when it rains as the boat is tilted back due to the weight of the motor if it’s in the water, or it should be slightly tilted to the rear if it is on a lift, all that water just runs right into the boat from front to back. Kind of defeats the purpose of a cover don’t you think? A 100% complete failure. We went out right after it rained and the entire floor was soaked, water coming out from under the seats, from under the council, everywhere.Third problem is we have the swing back. We ordered the optional porta potty. Which is complete garbage by the way. Buy your own. But it is only a 2 gallon porta potty and it does not fit in the giant changing room which would also be used as the bathroom that pops up under the swingback seat. You would think this would’ve been thought out a little better. So now there’s nowhere to put the Porta potty. And it is the smallest porta potty you can find.Fourth problem, we have the ski pylon that was also an option. It’s too short. We tried it out with tubing and the rope hits the top of the motor even when it’s trimmed all the way down to zero. Again, you would think this would’ve been thought through. The pylon needs to be taller.Fifth problem is we have what Bennington calls a windscreen. It is a full glass windshield that I actually really like. But to have this windshield you basically have a full counsel on the passenger side.All this is, is basically a white and black marble looking table on the passenger side. No glove box, no stereo controls, no nothing. Just this giant table that matches absolutely nothing.And speaking of tables, as the dealer told me it would come with a table, it didn’t. Then when I called the dealer asking hey, they forgot my table. They said this model doesn’t come at one. My response was a $100,000 boat doesn’t come with a table but a $40,000 pontoon boat does?Oh, and no mood lighting whatsoever. I owned a $10,000 boat 20 years ago that had lights all over the place. This has absolutely none!!!But all of these minor changes could be made for a far better user experience.Time will tell how well the boat will hold up. Give me a few years and maybe I will change my review. But as of now, for what I paid for it, I was expecting much more. I’ve been in many pontoons that are half the price with a far better user experience.

Cory White: Bought brand new 2021 boat leak in left log covered under warranty. Called Bennington promised me part in two weeks I am now a full month out and no parts. Called to explain issue I have got the run around I got three different extensions 201,127,652 no buddy answering. After I leave messages I call operator and guess what no answer there. Here I have a brand new boat I spent 30000 on setting in a shop with no parts. Bennington you have let me down my first boat and service and communications are poor. Will never buy from you again and hope to who reads this will go elsewhere they do not stand behind there word.
John Anderson: I have 2018 Bennington which requires warranty work. I puchased the boat new from another dealer, but since moved to the Minocqua area. Plowman"s marine refuses to complete work as I did not purchase boat from them. A call to Bennington corporate with regional rep reaffirms. Bennington states they cannot force a dealer to complete warranty work. Very disappointing for a "premium" pontoon manufacturer to allow a dealer to refuse service on on a two year old boat.
Jim: I just finished the factory tour. This is a very well run factory. It's amazing how many small differences Bennington incorporates into their product to make the highest quality Pontoon. It is also great to see a factory taking such a forward approach to their warranty process. All of the employees seemed to be extremely skilled at crafting these magnificent Pontoon boats. I knew Bennington had the name, and now I know why.
L S: Once you buy one of their overpriced boats you realize the poor quality and very poor response to their warranty. 3 months after purchasing a brand new Bennington pontoon boat one of the zippers broke on the Bimini top. Bennington cannot ship a replacement top for 6 weeks because they are "too busy". My answer to that is I will go somewhere else for my future boat needs so you won't be "too busy". BUYER BEWARE and take your business elsewhere! This company is not customer service friendly.

Jerome Weber: My wife and I purchased a Bennington pontoon in 2012. The boat has performed flawlessly and we are always amazed that after we open the boat up after being stored for a couple of months how well everything cleans up. The vinyl upholstery still looks almost like new.But our biggest praise is how they stand behind their product. We noticed last year some stress tears showing up in the boat cover. After five years of outdoor exposure, Bennington replaced our cover. They shipped it to the local dealer to install. When we went to pick it up at the beginning of this year, we noticed that the fit was really bad and we took some photos. We contacted Bennington and they agreed it was substandard work and were disappointed with their dealer.To make matters right, they asked us to contact a local custom cover company and get a quote. To our amazement, Bennington agreed to cover the entire cost of the custom replacement cover within 1 hour of receiving the quote.To say we couldn't be happier is an understatement. We will be Bennington customers for life!

David Stout: I bought a Bennington 2014 - 21SLX tritoon with the SPS performance package last year. Decided thIs year to purchase a trailer to transport it to other lakes. I was told by the trailer vendor that he would set the trailer up per Bennington recomendations. The log centers as placed on trailer did not match the log centers on the boat. As I was checking out the log centers on the pontoon boat other discrepancies were noted. The center line dimension from the CL of the port log to the CL of the center log is 37 3/4". The dimension from the CL of the starboard log to CL of the center log is 39". This is very poor manufacturing practice and demonstrates a very poor level of quality control from Bennington. I wrote them last year, did not receive a response back, regarding the poor quality of construction furnished to me with the extend fore and aft platforms and the under deck shielding between the logs.I am very disapointed in the quality of my 21 SPX that was manufactured by Bennington. I can hardly wait till I run into a Bennington factory rep at the next majIr boat show. My conversatiokn will probably start with "Your boat quality is a bunch of crap, you should be embarrassed with the poor quality of engineering, manufacturing, quality control and customer response/service. I immediately thought of Restore Pontoon and was astonished to see a one-star rating. These people are awesome,I realize no one posts to praise. Good service is expected, and this is what I experienced with Restore Pontoon. I found their prices to be competitive for a local company and the service to be very customer-friendly.I needed to return a part, certainly being local made that easier. They exchanged the part for something that would better fit my needs with no fuss. I will continue to recommend Restore Pontoon.

EpicPepsi_ YES: Godfrey has been around for a long time. They’ve had their ups and downs in quality and turnover like every other place. I’ve been there for almost 2 years now. They pay well, offer great insurance and an employee stock purchase program along with a decent 401k match.The supervisors are pretty cool. Upper brass is really focused on numbers but that’s no surprise. Overall, it’s calm and somewhat quiet for a factory. A nice landing spot after two decades in the RV industry. I plan on retiring from here.

William Johnson: I worked here for almost a year. I'm a welder of 30 + yrs of experience and certified. So I will give a honest review. I worked at plant 1 so the review is based on that plant only. Lower management is the worst I have ever seen. Lazy and very much on a power trip. Upper management isn't any better. I can really make this a long review based on facts. In general do not work here!!!! As a welder, wouldn't buy these boats. They aren't welded, they are fused. Too much heat. No certified welder's

Special Delivery: 3 stars for over night parking.Communication is not good here.I was given a 5pm delivery appt and was there at 330pm. No one was there. Broker or Customer at fault?I called the number on google and a lady who worked across the street at their sales bldg said they leave at 3pm.So I wasted a whole day and lost my next load.Next morning you have to hunt for someone through all the boat debris to find out who and where to get unloaded.The place looks abandoned. Its the right place though.OP.

John Love: When I ordered a set of boat seats I was assured all items would take 3-5 weeks, absolute maximum time. After I placed the order, and was charged in full, I received a note that said some parts of my order would not arrive for 10 weeks. I’m still waiting. I would recommend Overtons, or West Marine for any pontoon boat products.

GARY ROBBINS: ordered a bimini for pontoon boat 5 weeks before it arrives when the website says they are shipping quick. Talked to multiple people there and finally they shipped it. Ordered on June 21st arrives July 25th without the navigation light which I ordered and paid for wouldn't you think someone would check the order before it was shipped to make sure it was right? Especially after someone has called them multiple times. Funny thing is on my packing slip the ship date says June 23rd. Then they get mad when you post a paid review. We were told that the reason it did not ship is because there were "issues in the supply" for the color of bimini cover we ordered.The company never reached out to us within the 8 weeks that we waited for our order to tell us that there were any issues. We were lied to when we called and they told us the order was in the warehouse and would ship the next day (which was already 6 weeks in). So now we have no choice but to pick a different color if we want to get our order. (maroon or linen, neither matches our boat). There was no offer to make it right, and we were robbed of our chance to find the cover we actually wanted in the color that would match our boat from a different vendor.Original review: We ordered a bimini cover and a door latch on May 15 and my husband has reached out several times to obtain shipping status. He last called on Thursday, June 25 and was told that our order was in the warehouse and would ship the next day, June 26 and we would receive a confirmation e-mail once the order had shipped. We have neither received a confirmation nor the products that we paid for and we are going on 8 weeks. When attempting to call the office to so speak with someone again, a recording comes on to leave a detailed message and then it does not allow you to leave a message. I tried both the 574 number as well as the 888 number. I am not sure if our order is just so small for the business that they are used to, but I would not recommend this company if you are only looking for a few items or if you need to know when your items will arrive. The customer service representatives were also very rude with my husband as though it was not worth their time to provide shipping information for our order.
