Alice Van Meter: Hoping someone will clean the shower and adjoining dressing area floors ..also pool steps and deck need a good scrubbing......same dirt on deck in same spots for months now.
Matt Ambrose: There's very few places you can just get a one day pass to swim laps. This place is the best for that. Also free parking for up to 2 hours.
Mikala Narlock: I love this gym. Seriously. It is a little smaller than some might expect, and not all of the equipment is brand new, but this gym has a ton of character and countless regulars. You really feel part of a community at this gym!

I feel very secure, there have been a few times when I forget my lock and I never have any worries about just putting my stuff in an empty locker. Locker rooms are pleasant, clean and stocked. Clientele is mostly elderly, but not all. I never have a problem finding a machine I want to use or a free lane in the pool to swim in. I personally prefer this location over the new Granger location as it feels more intimate and also has basketball and racquetball courts. Plus I almost always find a parking spot right next to the door in the garage. Sure there are a few things that could use a little updating, but nothing about this place bothers me.If you’re serious about getting into a regular fitness regime, I suggest paying a little extra to go here than going the cheap route with Planet Fitness or other chains. My only issue is I wish they stayed open later on weekends (close at 5pm Saturday and Sunday)

Rachel Franklin: I enjoyed the class and the instructor was incredibly nice in the intro course. I've done a few pole classes before (it's been a while), and take aerial circus classes that keep my upper body strength and flexibility consistent. I wasn't even able to finish the warmup of this class because it was so hot: I was sweating so bad my feet wouldn't stick to the hardwood floor. My hands were sliding over the floor during the warmups, let alone being able to get any grip on the pole. I don't feel like I was able to really try anything to the best of my ability because all I was doing was trying to dry my hands and the pole off the entire class. I'm not sure if it's always that hot or if they're having cooling problems, but there's no way I could take a class like that again without fearing braining myself falling from a simple stretch. That being said, not everyone was having as many problems as I was: if you aren't a sweaty person, you'll probably be ok. (The owner reached out and offered suggestions for warm weather...still really hot though. Probably should have offered those suggestion in the information for the intro class)
Sara Maloney: This is a wonderful place! Pole is definitely challenging but also very rewarding. The community at Soma is amazing, so supportive and friendly! All of the instructors are very patient. Tricks classes are a great way to get started, and I recently started taking spin classes as well...those are even more fun. But my favorite are the dance classes. Don't worry if you don't have a dance background, just move in a way that feels good to you and it will start to feel more comfortable. Everyone should try this!

Dennis Dierks: Before joining mind over matter, I couldn’t string a few months together without an injury. Since joining, I’ve never felt stronger or more athletic in my life. Definitely a hidden little gem.
Craig Miller: They take time to get to know everyone personally. They make working out fun for everyone and also getting a great workout in.
Evan Brammer: Steve has been an excellent coach for me. I’m the kind of person that appreciates the science behind my training and nutrition decisions, and Steve has gone above and beyond to explain my workouts and diet in order for me to maximize my efforts and be most efficient with my time. I’m writing this about 1 year in to my training and I have naturally put on 10lbs of muscle. I plan to consult Steve all the way through achieving my goals, and I’m very happy with my progress. Tony Allison: Joining Mind Over Matter Fitness has been fabulous for me. Since joining, I can tell my body moves better and is stronger. I have more energy. The HIIT workouts are efficient and effective. I enjoy the variety of the workouts as no two workouts are the same. Steve and Alex are great to work with. They are personable, encouraging, knowledgeable and do a super job of personalizing the workouts to fit my abilities. When I was out of town on vacation for a week, Steve laid out a workout plan for me to follow while on vacation which is an example of his commitment to helping me on my fitness journey. Vicki Kien-Truax: I arrived with no expectations as I had never been to a gym that was small groups and personalized training. What I experienced was really wonderful. I was only there a short time because of outside problems with elder care. However, the strides I made where amazing thanks in no small part to the trainer , Steve. He really helped me advance in the areas that I needed to work. His attention to my concerns about fitness were fabulous and his explanation of what he was having me do and why, were especially helpful. Alison Levey: Working with Steve Christopher has been the perfect way to get back into strength training after a long time out of the gym. I love that he always explains how a certain exercise works each muscle group and gives great cues to ensure proper form. Steve checks in on how each rotation feels for every member of the class so that he can make modifications as needed without ever letting you off the hook for hard work and effort. The M2 gym is large, clean and well-equipped, which makes it easy for Steve to mix up the routine every session to keep it fresh but familiar enough that you know you’re making progress every time. Maybe most importantly, he keeps it light and fun which is key for those of us who are still working on building a regular gym habit. I would be remiss not to add that Alex is a great addition to the team. Not only is she an exemplar of how fitness is a lifestyle choice, she creates great workouts and is very encouraging. But be warned, she really likes ab exercises!
Adam Farrar: My daughter has been training with Steve for 8 weeks now. Steve has incorporated some of the latest techniques and made them effective and fun for my 11 yr. old. We have really seen a difference in her lateral quickness, coordination, and overall speed. Our goal was to become quicker to the ball and more stable and confident with all changes in direction when it comes to the softball field. With Steve and his training methods, we are well on our way to our goal. I highly recommend checking his program out.

Jeremy Snyder: The culture at this gym is amazing. My classmates and other gym members offer warm welcomes and are eager to include new people. I experienced that myself first hand. We work hard, but it’s a fun, inclusive and relaxed environment where everyone is super respectful and supportive. Unlike the news or social media, this gym is a positive uplifting place with members that are like family. The culture among the members at CFSB is no doubt a product of the top quality coaching staff. My schedule is wacky and they offer classes at a wide range of times so I’ve worked with a lot of the coaches and they are all fantastic. They genuinely love what they do and it shows in the way they offer movement coaching and suggestions as well as genuine support and encouragement.I can’t say enough good things about the facility, the coaching and the members at CFSB.
Jenna VanDyke: I’ve been a member at a handful of gyms over the last 5 years and the coaches at CFSB are far and away the best coaches I’ve worked with. There is intentionality behind every exercise and lift, the coaches are both knowledgeable and attentive to form, and overall it’s an incredibly encouraging place to be. I would highly recommend CFSB for any one, of any age or fitness level!

I have joined other gyms over the years and would just end up on a couple of machines each time there with no real goal or purpose.That is where this gym sounded different and for me it is. I love the daily classes and having a coach there guiding us. Helping set goals and modifying moves to each person's needs. It was a bit of a whirlwind for the first few weeks, learning new things. However I never felt left behind, someone is always helping when needed.I am quite happy to have found a place that fits what I need. It is definitely a place I recommend to anyone that asks.

Matt Christianson: Great community to be a part of! Everyday there is a different workout you’ve never done before. I only go 3 days a week m,w,f at their 6:30 am class. Having good form is really emphasized and the instructors there are really good at guiding you. I’m not dying sweating everyday, but some days do feel more challenging than others. I think it’s probably the most sophisticated workout group you can go to. My only complaint is they don’t offer a 6:30 am class Tuesday and Thursday, and it’s already tough waking up for the 6:30 am class.
Emily Wagoner: Working with Coach Justin in the Individual Design program on strength, nutrition, and sleep has been life-changing for me. He insightfully challenges me and guides me as I make the changes I know I need to make to support the things I want to do most in life. He is present with me as I turn these changes into sustainable habits. In addition, I get more out of training at CFSB than I have anywhere else, because the coaches and clients create an atmosphere that feels like a family and makes training fun.

However, the coaches at CFSB have done an excellent job of introducing me to CrossFit and I have loved working out at this gym ever since!All the coaches I have worked with are very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgable. They are always attentive towards everyone in the class and provide valuable feedback to improve form and performance while avoiding injuries. Working out at CFSB gives me the sense that the coaches truly want you to succeed in your journey to fitness!The workouts for the 1-hour classes are thoughtfully designed and balanced to improve strength and stamina. They are very mindful of people at different levels of fitness and accommodate everyone by providing workout variations that are equally effective.Periodic nutrition coaching and discussions have personally helped me identify and eliminate some bad dietary habits (work in progress!) while adopting healthy and sustainable ones.This gym provides a truly welcoming environment to work towards your fitness goals. V Luckey: I was so nervous to start Crossfit, not just because I'd never done this before but because I'm almost 51 and a curvy lady 🤗 . It's been years since I was in a gym and even when I did go to a gym I'd never done much with weights. I signed up for the fundamentals with Amy as my coach and she was so life giving! She took time to educate me on all the basics which increased my confidence. I've now attended classes for three weeks and I love that there are always modifications. I don't feel embarrassed at all because I keep in mind something Amy said, which was "everybody started somewhere". Every class has been a real challenge for me, but it's inspiring to meet others taking on the challenge & jammin! I'm so looking forward to the days I'll be able to do more.AND ON TOP OF ALL THIS THEY HAVE ROBBY their nutrition & wellness coach! I could say soooo much about my time with him, but I'll keep it short and say Robby is the best! He met me where I am and inspired me to do more than I thought I was willing or capable of. They are experienced in the sports they coach and each of them brings unique insights and value to the members.Not only the coaches though, the entire CFSB community is amazing. Everyone empowers each other. We are all really one big team and being part of a team has always been really important to me coming from being an athlete my whole life. It’s so great to have an atmosphere of supportive teammates (especially when you have goals that push you and challenge you a lot). I know that every time I walk into the gym, someone, whether it’s a coach, a member, or even the owner, will greet me. Brandy Pollard: The staff was really nice and flights the water pressure and showers water wise was unsatisfactory beyond belief but the setup of the bathrooms and locker rooms were awesome showers need to be cleaned more and new shower heads
