Amanda Stethem: I had an overall excellent experience visiting this store. The associate on duty was very cordial, helpful and made me feel validated. I'd recommend visiting the physical store, as it is set up nicely and provides exactly what you set out for.

Griffon Bookstore: what do users think?
Rob Monroe: The Griffon has a fantastic selection of board games, role playing games, and books both new and used. They also have a huge amount of miniatures, both for fantasy games and historic wargames. This store is one of my favorite spots in downtown South Bend.
Thomas Moore: Walked in and we could tell we weren’t gonna be here long. Mostly comprised of board games and dark occultist items. Books in the basement but not anything worth buying or reading. Not sure why they even call this a bookstore. It should be called a board game shop with unwanted books in the basement. Not coming here again.
brandon k: Nerd nirvana
Aaron Rosheck: Great place! Nice atmosphere and friendly service. I have been here many times over the years and I plan to make more visits in the future.Highly recommend buying your miniatures, dice, books, and board games from local places like Griffon.
Robert Kerr: Great variety of board games, tabletop role-playing games, historical miniatures, and books. They even have a section in the basement for used and discounted board games. Staff has always been friendly and helpful whenever I was there. I usually drop in if I have the chance.
Tristan Witt: They host public game nights on Fridays! Great selection and good suggestions from staff if needed.
James Munoz (SaltLight7): The absolute best place for all types of board games. And the staff is always knowledgeable and friendly.
Bill Swathwood: Great selection books, board games and role-playing supplies
Ashley: Use to come here all the time and buy board games. I always dealt with a woman and had no problem but the old gentleman has been there the past few times I’ve gone. Today I wanted to sell some games and I brought 10 games in that totaled over several hundred dollars in retail value. Of course I recognize that I’m not gonna get anywhere near retail but the amount I was offered was a waste of time and insulting. He was wanted to offer $50 for 10 games. If you know about board games the average price of a game is $40–$60 so he wanted my ten games for the cash price of 1. Of course we told him no then he had the nerve to offer us $40 for 3 of the games and expected to give us $1.57 each for the remaining 7 😂 what a waste of time. I’m all about supporting local businesses but from now on I’ll stick to Amazon where their games are cheaper anyway.
Tom Vogl: Icon of an independent bookstore that's kept its identity since the 1970s. Dover classics, games and used books. Staff is knowledgeable and engaging. It just feels good being there.
Hannah Kunz: Stumbled into Griffon one day and was amazed at their immense amount of board games! Had a great time wandering around and taking it all in.
Jason Steven: One of the best, if not the very best, local game stores around. They have card games, board games, RPG's, books, and more. The owner is a wonderful person who is pleasant and knowledgeable. I love this place and can't recommend it highly enough.
Deen Tuggle: Lovely little games and book store in downtown South Bend. Wide range of board games and a nice selection of books downstairs. Very nice and friendly staff as well.
Eric (Beave): Such a cool spot. Had used books and games, very fun place. Had a ton of new games and dice. Very friendly staff.
Bryan Aker Jr: Great used book selection. They also have quite the supply of ttrpg supplies.
Michael Duttlinger: The staff is amazing. The selection is great.
Cory Gehring: I love this local bookstore. The owner is always happy to help people look for a game, book, or accessory/mini. Very friendly. Great for getting your children into gaming.
uppity woman: Great customer service
Dmitriy Y: Nice, local game store. Good selection and good decor.
Matt Steigely: I absolutely love this place, great selection of board games and a few hard to find gems. They are so nice when i brings in the kiddos, the book store section downstairs has a great selection of used books. Also has all your Dungeons and Dragons needs, and tons of other table top rpgs.
Melody Muckenfuss: Board games, D&D, books... Do yourself a favor and go spend an afternoon browsing.
