When we did, it damaged some of the upper stone and mortar of the fireplace itself. So we called Law’s Tru Stone. From the first walk through for the estimate to the final inspection Jeremy and his crew were very professional and responsive paying attention to every detail. We had a somewhat complex project where two large sets of brick steps were removed so another contractor could do work before the steps could be rebuilt. Jeremy made the scheduling very simple, he and his crew were onsite to remove the old steps about a week after we signed the contract.Once the other contractor was done, a quick call with Jeremy got us on the schedule to have both the steps rebuilt and new brick planters installed. Several things really stood out about the work Law's did for us;1. Very responsive and proactive, Jeremy provided regular updates and responded to calls and texts within minutes.2. Attention to detail, his crew clearly takes pride in the finished work, they work hard and have a schedule to meet, but they never rushed! The final result are professional and you would never know that the steps and flower beds were not original to the house. They also straightened up the site at the end of each day so we were still able to access and enjoy our back yard while the work was going on.3. No surprises! We knew when they would be on site and what work would be done. The access to the back yard is off the driveway and they kept their equipment out of the way so we could easily get in and out of the garage.In summary, we got great customer service, timely completion of the job and a finished product that we are pleased to show off to our family and friends.If you are considering masonry or brick work you owe it to yourself to get an estimate from Law's.

They even went to the extra trouble to remove the scaffolding over the weekend (before completing the job) because I had company coming over the weekend. The job had three components - a new cement crown protecting the top from snow and rain, a new 40-ft liner for safe and proper venting of the exhaust from our basement furnace (which is high-efficiency and burns natural gas), and a thorough cleaning.We knew we were in good hands early on. Rob is an experienced and friendly professional who communicates effectively and directly. I left him an initial voicemail on a Friday afternoon and he was in touch with me first thing on Monday morning. He came to inspect the chimney and provide an estimate (free of charge) on Tuesday and the work was scheduled for the following week. There was no wasted time playing phone tag, no extensive delays, no grey areas about what the work entailed, what was necessary, or the associated costs. It can be tough finding a reliable and knowledgeable contractor in South Bend, and Rob is the real deal.The job itself was scheduled for 3-4 hours and took about three and a half. The crew arrived on time and took care to create a safe and clean work-space, with no mess at the end. We are relatively new homeowners, and our chimney had dangerous levels of blackened build-up and rotted & rusted old lining material. The crew took the necessary time to fully remove the debris, which was clearly more than they expected up front, leaving us with a much safer chimney that is weather-proofed for many years to come. Our furnace will now run more efficiently as well.The cost was reasonable and, most importantly, I trust the quality of the work. Julie Rager: Mesaros did a complete tear down of chimney, flue, and rebuild including the firebox (fire place), and doors in the Spring of 2017. We are very happy with the work. I'm sending review now because we used our fire place and a few days later our house smelled like smoke My husband called Rob Mesaros on Friday and he came out same day and explained to my husband what to do, so we wouldn't get that smell again. The smell was gone by the time I got home from work. I do not have a problem talking to anyone about the work Mesaros did for us or Rob coming out same day to see what was going on with our fire place.

Chelsea Biggs: My mother used this company to lay a new driveway and had a terrible experience. It was originally put in in May 2021 and by winter it started disintegrating. She contacted the company and they said they’d come fix it in the Spring. After many reminders and attempts to get them to come out to fix the patches that were disintegrating they finally came out in July 2022. They had the driveway tested and told us it was bad cement. Instead of redoing the driveway with good cements patched it, and left it looking like the images attached here. After paying a PREMIUM for concrete I find this completely unacceptable. I would not recommend them to anyone. We plan to submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
