Elkhart RV Resort by Rjourney: what do users think?
Brenda Kruszewski: This is under NEW ownership and management and they are attempting to update everything. Much more friendly.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Melanie West: We stayed in November to pick up our Rv from the factory in Middlebury. The park was mostly empty except for the permanent residents and few that made overnight stops. The rates are severely overpriced with zero discounts available. The sites are close together with sewer clean outs next to dilapidated picnic tables. There is a small dog park that had a receptacle that was overflowing. The water in this park was suspect not only in appearance but also smell. No maintenance was done to any of the sites. We understand that it is late in the year and the park will be closing soon but at the rates we were charged, we definitely expected better !!!! A few positives were the laundry room was clean, Camp store was convenient, Camp host was friendly, security gate in working order l, and the location is close to shopping and restaurants. We would only stay again if nothing else was available.
Judy Lodyga: Really liked the surroundings the cabin had a misfortune but all in all I WOULD COME BACK the perfect setting enjoyed the time I did spent there
Seismik: We arrived late in the evening and had to use night check-in. There were only a few spaces listed as available. The spots available were all located where you would have to drive the whole way through the campground to get to them. We felt bad driving through and possibly disturbing people. We drove past many open sites to get to the "available" ones. We parked and got out only to find that even though they mowed the grass everywhere else, they did not mow this strip of spots. This was great for our small dog, it was like a jungle to him, and I was constantly picking bugs off of him. I took him down to use the dog walk area only to find that it was all mud with no grass at all, and there were many "landmines". In the morning, the host/manager was flying around in a golf cart with an elderly dog barely able to keep up on a leash. The showers and bathrooms were dirty. Staff was rude. We won't be staying here again, the other Elkhart KOA is much nicer and friendlier.
Ms Dayna M: WOW!! What an experience! This is exactly how a campground should be run!! From the moment we arrived and were personally escorted to our pull through site, we were treated like family. Super friendly!! Can't say enough about Tammy and Amy working the desk and the delicious cookies they were passing out to Steve and the firewood he delivered before we were even plugged in!! Less than 5 minutes after arrival we ordered a pizza which was deliver to our site 10 minute later and super delicious. So accommodating and friendly, I just can't even believe this place was in Granger behind some shopping centers. Felt like the deep woods once you were inside the park. Awesome stay and we will definitely be back again!!
Nicki Vazquez: We stayed at this campsite the end of August 2022 with a 30' 5th wheel.Pros: Check in was online, quick, and same day which was awesome after we had gone to another campground in town the night before and were less than happy to return to them. Staff was nice and efficient getting us in. Gorgeous mature trees throughout the park. There were nice groomed walking trails and a cute little dog run with waste bags. The staff was pleasant (although my partner got in trouble for bringing outside wood which is apparently a big no-no) and stayed and chatted awhile which was also nice. They guided us to our site and helped to make adjustments for the length of our camper immediately when we didn't fit in the original site.Cons: As sated, no outside wood or firewood has to be purchased from the campground store. The signage for the entry to the park were not easily seen. The park is almost right in the same area as a business park which was really confusing getting in there. We would have loved to have stayed a few days longer, but had to get on the road. We would recommend to anyone again!!!
Connor Orndorff: We stayed here 5/18/22-5/26/22. We have a big set up with a 40 foot class A and 20 foot trailer. They had a lot where they let us store the trailer during our stay and our campsite had plenty of room for our RV and SUV. The park is well taken care of and had recently come under new ownership. It used to be a KOA. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the store sold hot pizzas which was kinda cool and unique! They had a nice large fenced in off lead dog area that was just a short walk from our site. Overall its a great spot and I would for sure recommend it to anybody looking to stay in the area.
Larry Thomas: Our stay was brief but the sites and entire resort was clean and well maintained. The staff rocked from the minute we checked in until we left. Looking forward to returning soon!
Rich A: I have never done a Google review before, but feeling “ripped off” changes everything. In short, I was “robbed” by RJourney, who owns this RV resort. Due to circumstances out of my control, I had to cancel a reservation one day prior to my arrival (which was made six months in advance) for two spots at a total of $1449 at the Elkhart (IN) RV Resort. They would not refund me anything, not even a penny! No understanding at all!I have stayed at this rv park this time of year for the past three years, when it was one of my favorite KOAs. Because of this lack of understanding and flexibility, I will never EVER stay at an RJourney resort and hope that my experience will be a warning to others of the kind of business they run. My only recourse it to alert others to stay away. They do not deserve anyone’s business. If you’re using Google reviews to determine where to stay, realize that all the great reviews for this resort were prior to the RJourney purchase. Also, I’m sure there will be a response to this review from RJourney, which like all their other responses is tone deaf and insulating. And lastly, I suspect that the spots I could not use were rented to someone else. Greedy people!Follow up to the response below: Rjourney, if you were truly sorry then you would have figured out a way to offer some kind of refund. Actions speak the loudest. And instead of hollow responses, why don't you tell everyone why you have a policy that favors Rjourney exclusively, and not the consumer. It is a strange way to run a business, because you could have had a loyal customer for years to come instead of one who will never do business with you again.
Mary Ellen Longnecker: Was quiet and nice setting, but very expensive and needs updated. Tables, patios need care and sites not level.
TravelUSA: Staff very friendly. I hav a 71ft Prevost coach w/Towed and needed a place for the night. This place is located in a thick shaded woods so satellite dish 🛰 didn't work. Site #32 advertised as 70ft pull threw and more like 80ft and narrow and can be challenging for large rigs to get in suitable position. Ordered pizza 🍕 from nicely stocked store @ main office and they delivered to my site! It was delicious 😋. Park was very nice, clean and quiet.
Renee Hill: This is an absolute gem of a campground and we're so glad we were able to stay here. As I mentioned to the extremely friendly staff, "this place is big but small." I know that sounds strange but I think it's in the layout. There is definitely plenty of space for RVs (we didn't have to unhook our trailer which puts us at 54 feet) as well as the ability to rent one of a number of cabins, but the way that things are arranged gives the place a very intimate feel. Add to that the lovely foliage and the fact that the campground is located on a quiet road, and I can almost promise you that you'll want to extend your stay. The campground offers a number of amenities including: a big laundry room, a number of SUPER CLEAN showers, a bathroom with multiple stalls, a game room, a playground, and a pool. The onsite store is really cute, has good prices, and features several organic products. The campground is close to grocery stores and restaurants and only a few miles away from a zoo and several parks.Elkhart RV Resort was a real treat for our family!
edith carey: great place!
Jeff Durnell: The manager was so rude I can't ever come back
Steve Greer: DO NOT STAY HERE!! Management allowed a site to bring in a Karaoke performer with it set up at a pull thru site. No notice of this event at check in with it starting at 8:00pm and an unknown ending. We were 2 sites from it and could not turn our TV up loud enough or have a conversation in our RV. We could not get away from it. My call to a regional Rjourney manager yielded nothing but she admitted the local manager must use the pavilion in the future. Good luck with that happening as this is NOT a KOA any more. Apparently, a partial refund is not going to be approved. STAY AWAY !!

Maple Ridge Campground: what do users think?
Jeff Dees: We managed to get some last-minute time off, and Maple Ridge Campground was able to accommodate. We were pleasantly surprised by the accomidations. The bath house is amazing and extremely clean. The hosts are extremely friendly. Hope to visit more in the future.
Jason Lewin: Ok
Kelly Ward: This is a small, well-cared for campground. We spent the 2021 camping season on a seasonal site.
Joseph Smith: This is the best campground. We did the electric tent sites and enjoyed are stay. People are extremely friendly, clean showers, and fun activities for all. My kids loved catching blue gill and turtles in their new lake. Last year we did the Halloween weekend and had a blast. Probably the best haunted trail I have been on since I was a kid. Highly recommend this campground.
Dan Sachman: Absolutely nothing to do there but sit in your camper
Luz Ramirez: I didn't even get to go the place.BEAWARE IF YOU PAY FOR 2 NIGHTS!!!! and have to cancel. They will stay will all the money!!!Owners are nasty!!!!WILL NOT RECOMEND
Ronald Campbell: Nice layed back campground
Gary Mayfield: This was the first time we visited here, I will say I was really impressed with the place. There some places that are bigger and some that are smaller, but over all was a good time. Prices are reasonable the camp store has just about everything you would need if you forget something, Friday night campfire hosted by the owners is something you don't see everywhere, they even give you stuff to make smores. Saturday evening they do a tractor and wagon ride. A very good family oriented place, lots of things for the kids to do and keep them busy. We drove around on our golf cart to look around, they have a catch and pretty good sized pond that you can fish, catch and release and an area that looks to be a new spot with new sites in the works. Very well maintained, not a lot of commotion going in, nice relaxed place with full hook ups, tent sites with electric and even cabin rentals. Oh and they rent golf carts as well. For sure will be back. Keep up the good work owners you and your family are doing an amazing job!!!
Mike Hickey: This place rocks.
ryan freeman: I truly like this park. Nice people, there's usually stuff going on (community camp fire, golf cart parade etc...) Great place to bring the kiddos
BluJay: Haven't stayed there yet but we checked it out and it looks great. 👌
pat pal: Great campground. Very nice people and good amenities.
Rebekkah Wright: We had a great time. Plan on coming back
Scott Yates: Nice campground. Spaces are big enough for large rigs but are pack together a little bit. Quiet, close to South Bend and 30 mins to Elkhart. Nice and quiet.
Kirk Vincent: Family friendly environment and a staff that cares about your comfort. Owner personally came by and asked how we were doing. That goes a long ways in my book. Will definitely be back.
Vanessa Hajzus: I have to give a 5/5 for handling the massive 4th of July crowd. We were not on ground during the day at all, but at night everyone during this busy time did follow the quiet hours. Site was on the end so we had a bit of extra room.
Yuriy Chepelyuk: It is when family cares about their business and reputation.

Mini Mountain Campground: what do users think?
Jason Umphryes: The most amazingly maintained, hygienically sound bathing and laundry facilities, along with amazing neighbors!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Angela Cocks: Please increase your hiring pay. You want a competent worker but want to pay them only 10$ in 2023. Shameful
David Drabecki: Mini mountain people there are very respectful they help one another they have quite a few things on the inside that you could buy candy other certain things ice cream pop milk we have a swimming pool outside and be ready for spring run this place are young and very experienced on taking care of whatever needs that you have and they have a lot of respect for the people that are there camping now as well as newcomers that are becoming in spring I say this campground is a 10 in my book because it's close to home and it's an awesome place to visit and you have a lot of stuff and around there is Notre Dame college is not that far downtown South Bend casinos and other things that you would like to do
Brandi Czajkowski: We camped at Mini Mountain years ago, before the new ownership...we said we probably wouldn't come back, BUT we were looking for a last minute place to camp and they had full hook-up available. I read some recent reviews and we decided to give it another shot! We were pleasantly surprised! When we checked in we had a nice man take us to our spot...we weren't in love with it and asked if their was something available closer to the activities. He said "let me check, I want you to be happy with your site", so he was able to take us to a different site which was PERFECT! The campground used to be pretty loud with golf carts going until way past quiet hour, this time it was quiet, and the few seasonal people we came in contact with couldn't have been nicer! One even showed me where the sewer hook-up was on our site because it was covered with leaves (camped in the Fall). He also offered us wood if we needed it! The area is beautiful, especially in the fall with all the pretty leaves. The hiking trails are nice too! We will definitely be back!
Justin & Jenn Lucas: We read the reviews & was a little nervous when we booked this for our family trip over Laber Day Weekend, but we had a blast the seasonal's were friendly the guy behind us was so nice he moved his vehicle so we could pull-through & make a buddy site. His wife brought us jello shots to welcome us. They showed us to our site & made sure we didn't need any help getting set up. The owners were around visiting & very friendly. We will definitely be going back maybe our new seasonal spot. Lots to do for the family from trails, pool, fishing, putt-putt, play grounds, there are lots of picnic areas, you can bring your golf cart & your pet. If you love camping & don't mind dirty you will love it.
chris jones: If you just read the past reviews and dont give this place a shot, you're passing up a nice spot to camp. We have been here 2 weeks now and have really enjoyed our stay. Zero issues with power, water, or sewer. The sites aren't level (see mini mountain in the title) but the views are outstanding, everyone is friendly, kids playing on the playground everyday, events daily, clean pool, renovated bath house, working washers and dryers, and well stocked store. Close to major attractions in the area, great staff, quite hours observed, and fair prices...will be back for another month in the future.
Shann Kramer: Tried to cancel and they claim there is a no refund policy. There is nothing in writing. No email stating that. And nothing was on their website. I have small children and would not have booked if they had a no refund policy. Apparently no one can help me on site and the manager is only there on the weekends. Now I can’t get the manager to call me back. I have left several messages week after week. We camp all the time and I have never encountered such an issue with a campground. Very disappointed in the communication and will be contacting BBB. I had to dispute charges through my credit card as that was my only option left.
Taylor Albertson: Very dirty sites very small not very kid friendly besides the pool play grounds aren’t unkept at all
Cantankerous Grandpa: I read a lot of the reviews about this place, older ones were not very flattering. Some of the newer ones sounded better so I decided to give this place a shot.I was glad I did! They have obviously been trying to improve the place. Have lots of events all summer and all the holidays year round. Staff is nice and helpful when they can. Sometimes have issues with water down in the "meadows " but respond quickly. No more riff raff, very quiet every night even on weekends! Stayed here for several months, reasonable electric and space rent. Bottom line, would I stay here again? Absolutely! Not a 5 star place but definitely worth the money.
Armando Juarez: Great place to campground and picnic love this place
Greg Balsley: I really enjoyed myself at the campground.. My fiance and I have been here a few months And The Staff is very nice and helpful.. The other campers in the park are very nice, and I have made some good friends here. I highly recommend this campground, everything works I had no issues with service. The campground is kept clean by the staff and the campers.👍
Jeff Wuggazer: Wonderful campground for seasonal or weekend camping. Kids & adult activities on the weekends.
Katrina Rogers: I love it here!!
Mason Urycki: Very nice entrance it’s nice and lit up so you can see where you need to turn into and it’s just a nice place to visit and stay at.
Sheldon Durant: I really enjoyed myself at the campground.. This is my 2nd time being there. And I will go back next week. The Staff is very nice and helpful.. The other campers in the park are very nice, and I have made some good friends there. I highly recommend this campground, everything works I had no issues with service. The campground is kept clean by the staff and the campers.👍
Emily Denham: The new management and employees are very helpful and kind! It was the best campground we have stayed at yet on our traveling adventure!
Mark Kendall: Been staying here for a couple of months.Management and employees friendly, helpful. From reading old posts, this place has gotten a lot better than it used to be. Lots of families enjoying themselves. Music and events for most holidays, overall I would not hesitate to stay here again. You can see efforts being made to improve the park.

Potato Creek State Park: what do users think?
Laina Niedbalski: Was there for Easter egg hunt. The animals they had were really nice, but the hunt started 40 minutes late and it was really cold.
Chelsea Watkins: Been going there for years and love it. There is a park, lots of picnic areas, so many trails, bike and various boat rentals, grills, nature center, beach, camping, etc.
Lori Price: Favorite park for renting cabins..live Indiana state parks.
Mike Sayre: Beautiful park, spend a whole day or week there if you want. Lots to do like hike, walk, fish, biking, camping, nice trails, lake and more. Nature at its finest, you'll see a lot of wildlife. Check out the nature center too, friendly people, and watch the critters and birds eat, plenty to do here for everyone. Very family friendly, all will have fun.Playground: NiceRestrooms: CleanDog-friendliness: Dogs have fun herePicnic area: Plenty of spots to picnic
Richard Lloyd: Great place for Croppy fishing
Dawn Morris: First time here and it seems like a nice park. I didn't get to spend as much time as I would've wanted to, so will be back another day!I was a little annoyed though that the stairs at trail 2 were closed and the closure was not mentioned on the website. I usually plan my hikes ahead of time. So FYI right now the stairs are broken and closed!I definitely would like to try the winter camping here too.
alexander deluna: Lots of trails and history.
Counseling Indiana: Beautiful clean park. Trail's and bathroom's are open. The Lake is open for boating and Beach.Staff and Hosts are awesome.

AceM: Wonderful place to visit
cindy bailey: My family loves this park!! The area is breathtaking! A must see!
Stephanie Fish: I love this park. The trails are the best!
Nicole Hagemeyer: Went on a short hike on the Friends trail in February. Trail was well maintained, had 3 docks/wooden built lookouts over the water. It was a cool park and a great stop on our road trip from Indy to Kalamazoo. The park was beautiful with the frost in the branches and thin layer of ice on top of the water in the wetlands. I bet it is absolutely gorgeous in the summer too.We have a State Park pass and are trying to check off/visit all Indiana State Parks.Restrooms: Vault toilets were available. Most, if not all, of the bathhouse with flush toilets were closed and winterized due to it being February. Vault toilets were clean and well stocked.Dog-friendliness: Dog allowed when kept on a leash that is 6ft or less. They loved it.
Rachael Williams: Beautiful park staff is excellent and DNR great!! Love this place!
Jeremy Gladstone: Bien pour un parc d'état. Ni luxueux ni primitif en ce qui concerne les logements et l'environnement est beau.
Daniel Wilde: The cemetery is nice. 👍
William Batson: Great place to hike and camp, nature center is also nice and does a lot of activities for all ages.
Armando Juarez: I wish there were more hiking trail in this park. One thing I like when you come to camping there's power to connect all your gear about outdoor bathrooms are very old and needs cleaning attention
Kelly Thayer: Great trails for horses.

Dana Shankle: We stayed in a cabin. Nice, clean and roomy. Be sure to note you need to bring your own bedding and towels.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Brigit Kowalczyk: Very well maintained Campground that had lots of sites for in-stamping as well as 20-30 and 50 amp sites. They even have some cabins available that are fully furnished all you need to do is bring bedding and towels. The owner was very nice and prompt with check in and check out. RV Traveler: We had a wonderful stay. Big flat sites. Good 50 amps. Even in 100f July. Easy in, easy out. Close enough to I 80 for overnight.Just a few miles from the RV/Motorhome Hall of Fame. Front Desk people were great. We will be coming back. Great stop heading west and going back east.

Dave (Seven Wishes Photography): All I needed for two nights.

Easy in and out for going into Elkhart... or using it as a base to Chicago.Dog-friendliness: The dog park was super large.. enough to throw a ball and gave a Shepard hit full speed before the fence. Good to walk around on the roads between sites. Lots of grass throughout for sniffing
Debra Atkinson: Excellent camping and great service
Red Fox: Lots of pull through sites
D Surbaugh: This was a great campground for our overnight needs. Very friendly. Grounds were well maintained. We didn't use much of the facilities and amenities. Our lot was roomy and a nice pull through. There was some highway noise. We recommend this RV park.
M'Lisse Haas: Very nice place to stay! Sites are level, and you are not jammed in. Water is a bit metal-ly tasting. Restrooms are clean. Most definitely on our ‘come back’ list.
Paul Richardson (TheHomeWizard): Great spot.Rusty metallic water, (you can smell it) but clear.Huge, tons of camper & tent spots & cabins.Bob & Gita are awesome!
Roxanne Curtis: Always a great stay. Peaceful and as usual the dogs loved the large dog park.Dog-friendliness: We could stay anywhere. But this place has us hooked for our labs' favorite place to stay.
Matt Grimes: Nice people.
Brian Williams: Sewer hook up was way too fast away from my trailer, so I couldn't hook up.

Lakeside RV Resort: what do users think?
Debbie Painter: RV,s were packed like sardines
Victoria Thomas: Can’t really say if the campground is nice because I couldn’t get a reservation. The website showed availability and was even going to take my card for payment to reserve a lot. But I couldn’t find information about the pet policy so I needed to confirm I could bring my pitbull. I called and was told they only do annual spots and no pitbulls … she obviously has a problem with the breed by the way she said it all snotty. That’s okay. Me and my awesome dog found a spot a few miles away at Mini Mountain.
Amy Passwater: Beautiful, clean lake with well maintained grounds and swimming pool. Management is friendly, courteous, and helpful.
maddy: Me and my friends LOVE this place! The lake is so clean and so fun to be in. The pool is normally clean, and it is also a great size. Me and my friends come here almost every weekend it is open and it's so fun. 10/10 recommend. There is also a nice restaurant across the street from it.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Cary Steinkraus: Mostly seasonal campers. All nice people. Holiday potluck dinners. Pool. Clean lake across the street. One the better restaurants in the immediate area right across the street. Managed and kept up by an outstanding manager.
Stefanie F.: We LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. It's almost exclusively seasonal campsites. Because of that, everyone knows one another. Manager Terry is very friendly, caring and accommodating. She works hard to keep the grounds well maintained. We have monthly group activities such as chili cook-offs, children's activities, and mother's/father's day breakfasts. The past few years we have had huge Labor Day party with a bounce house, hog roast and a band. We love our time here.
oki okok: This resort advertises as a Thousand Trails and Encore property yet cannot be booked by either. They also would not allow us to book ANY site as a paying member once they found out we were part of the Thousand Trails Program.Service: 1/5 …More
Kellie Gray: We've been here camping annually for 7 years now and absolutely love this place. The manager here is spot on this park is well maintained, club house bathrooms always clean, and very helpful. I highly recommend this place to all.
Dawn RN1991: LOVE. THIS. PLACE. Very family oriented campground. Clean. Pet friendly. Campers here are very welcoming and management is truly accommodating and helpful. We have camped here for many years and have enjoyed every minute. We absolutely could not ask for a better manager and better accommodations. The pool is ALWAYS clean, the lake is nearby, Monroes Crossing is available for breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a cocktail. What more could you ask for?
Jude Hady: Packed like sardines in a can only 1 campsite open for travelers it really hard to get to that 1 site. Has a waiting list for seasonal campers.
Rick Mendoza: Great place
Dorothy Knight: Great place to stay clean. Large spots nice staff
BONNIE WAGNER: Private campgrounds

Missy Riley: I'm glad it's closing down. What a dump.
Leroy Heider (Leo): Awesome, quiet mobile home park located by the airport

Melanie Jewel: Home
Donna Reagan: Great atmosphere . Great people to live next to. The best management around very caring and respectful.
Melanie Freedom: Very quiet neighborhood
Heaven Bruegel: Great ace to live n grow n be happy .lots of great people AWSUM management..
Robin Phillips: I gave 1 star and this place doesn’t even reflect that. Debbie Ripply , Vera Barnet and Michelle carpenter are part of the problem and they love it because of favoritism from Greg Rice! Call H&G services in SB to complain!
Jim Davis: What manager doesn't do his job way should there's too much favoritism and there's too much drama to live in that part they need new Park manager
Michael Harradon: If code enforcement drove by one time, the agent would have enough violations to fill a book. Broken windows, busted doors, trashed vehicles.
Debbie Ripley: The land scaping is beautiful. The park is made up of all ages.It is like any other neighorhood . We all look out for each other. As far as the the comment on the drugs in the park. He is well known in the park for Domestic Violenceand is not welcome in the park.Like I said it is like any other neighborhood. It is what you make it.
Jerry Varga: Rundown and full of drug addicts that don't work. They wait for handouts, and scam individuals when the opportunity arisesKeep away at all costs, and please don't let your kids go there at all!!
Thomas Elliott: Don't love it yet I want to move there first lol
Fabian Crespo: Un lugar tranquilo para vivir
Kebert Xela: Its a trailer park...
Tutu Emmerich: Met an incredible young man. We share Treasure Hunting as a Passion. Looked at a Vintage Trailer..So Many Possibilities..
Angela Stacy: Cuz it needs a little tlc just sayin
Vera Barnett: It might be a little rough looking but the manager is awesome and it's the quietest mobile home park I've ever lived in. You cant judge a book by its cover.
Matthew E: This place need a lot more cleaning and the drug dealers removed from the park
Jen Davis: It looks ran down. The whole park needs repairs, from the roads to the trailers.
