Novella Love: Need more seasoning

wmkidsandkritters: We just spent $63.00 on 4 of the worst fish dinners we have ever tried to eat. We purchased 4 catfish dinners tonight. The fish were cut in the fish steak manner which made it nearly impossible to eat. Over 3/4 of the fish portion was completely inedible. For whatever reason, the fish was placed on top of a soggy piece of white bread. I am not even sure my cats will eat this. The potato salad was not good.The green beans and greens were too highly seasoned. The macaroni and cheese had very little taste. I will not be recommending this place to anyone. Truthfully I can not justify giving it even one star but it wouldn't let me post without clicking on at least one star.

No dine in.Special today (Thursday) 3 pieces of catfish and 2 sides, PLUS 2 extra pieces of fish for a total of 5 pieces of fish and 2 sides for $15.00!!! What a great deal, and this is just one of today's specials. Turned out to be so much food you can hardly eat it all.The catfish was good but it does have bones. (That's fine, just beware).The baked beans were amazing!! Chunks of smoked meat (not sure if it was turkey, pork or beef) sooooo yummy!! You could make a meal out of them!Sorry to say the cornbread was awful. Way too greasy and horribly dry. Probably dropped into cold fryer. Maybe next time it will be better?We will definitely make the trip from northeast Mishawaka to the south side of South Bend again!
