The job had three components - a new cement crown protecting the top from snow and rain, a new 40-ft liner for safe and proper venting of the exhaust from our basement furnace (which is high-efficiency and burns natural gas), and a thorough cleaning.We knew we were in good hands early on. Rob is an experienced and friendly professional who communicates effectively and directly. I left him an initial voicemail on a Friday afternoon and he was in touch with me first thing on Monday morning. He came to inspect the chimney and provide an estimate (free of charge) on Tuesday and the work was scheduled for the following week. There was no wasted time playing phone tag, no extensive delays, no grey areas about what the work entailed, what was necessary, or the associated costs. It can be tough finding a reliable and knowledgeable contractor in South Bend, and Rob is the real deal.The job itself was scheduled for 3-4 hours and took about three and a half. The crew arrived on time and took care to create a safe and clean work-space, with no mess at the end. We are relatively new homeowners, and our chimney had dangerous levels of blackened build-up and rotted & rusted old lining material. The crew took the necessary time to fully remove the debris, which was clearly more than they expected up front, leaving us with a much safer chimney that is weather-proofed for many years to come. Our furnace will now run more efficiently as well.The cost was reasonable and, most importantly, I trust the quality of the work. Julie Rager: Mesaros did a complete tear down of chimney, flue, and rebuild including the firebox (fire place), and doors in the Spring of 2017. We are very happy with the work. I'm sending review now because we used our fire place and a few days later our house smelled like smoke My husband called Rob Mesaros on Friday and he came out same day and explained to my husband what to do, so we wouldn't get that smell again. The smell was gone by the time I got home from work. I do not have a problem talking to anyone about the work Mesaros did for us or Rob coming out same day to see what was going on with our fire place.

The various people who come out (to give estimates, to repair gas logs, to install new gas logs in a different fireplace, to install new chimney cap) are always extremely polite and pleasant, and they always let you know they are on the way. I always feel confident that these people really know their job, and that I am getting my money's worth and will not have unexpected problems and new expenses later.

The guys who did the install were awesome: worked non-stop, explained what was going on, cleaned up everything - even blowing off the roof for me and pointing out things which I need to look after. I have a very steep driveway so they had to carry stuff from the street which made the job harder, but they were super nice throughout. Definitely recommend their work.
