Scott Herbst: We had our house built in 2018 by Place homes......within the first week of moving in we noticed the vinyl plank floor was very uneven and starting to show nail pops thru the floor. We contacted them and they sent the same unprofessional crew to tear up all of the floor and relay it. Within a few weeks of them doing it, the floor started to crack and split. Our calls and emails went unanswered even though the house was still under the "1 year warranty"......they never honored the 11 month walk thru to correct any problems.....well fast forward and less then 3 years after moving in not only was the vinyl plank flooring splitting and seperating in many areas, the carpet started to roll up in every room......even the rooms that aren't used. I had shillings carpets come out and replace all of the carpet and vinyl plank....Lo and behold they confirmed what I initially thought and the vinyl plank flooring should have had an underlayment put down before any of the vinyl plank was laid.......they also didn't belt sand any of the areas of the subfloor that was uneven.....after shillings was done prepping the floor, it looked like a checkerboard because it was so uneven and Place homes never did any of that when laying the floor initiailly..ADDENDUMI am going to change my rating from 1 star to 4 stars as after I made this review, Andy reached out to me and was very apologetic about the situation and the apparent miscommunication between us. I am happy to say that we came to a reasonable conclusion on the above issue with the floor. I also apologized for any miscommunication on our end. It was an unfortunate situation and as I said it was resolved to a mutually reasonable conclusion. The whole team was really patient with us as we took a couple months to find the right property to build on (we looked at several before finding the right one). Chris Walters: I bought new a house built by Place Homes. After few weeks I noticed the ceiling sagging quite a bit in two rooms. It turns out the trusses were installed incorrectly and without bracing. It took over 6 months to get this fully repaired and I was unable to use two bed rooms during that time. Fortunately, the roof didn't collapse before it was fixed. There were other more minor issues some of which they never fixed.

Ron E: Built a deck and was suppose to stain it. The stain lasted about 2 weeks! He said product failure not covered under his 2 year warranty . He picked out the stain and applied it. I dont see how this was not covered, he said he would do it over again, never did nothing! My wife and I are senior citizens, we end up staining the deck, lasted all summer! After prepping it for hrs! Plus I had paid him to stain the fence post he put in, and I ended up doing it, since I could see I was getting the run around on the deck!

Deanne George: After a number of estimates on a fence project we decided to go with Bendix. We signed the contract, and had a start date set. Gas and utilities were marked on the start date and everything seemed good to go.A week passes and no sign of them. I emailed about 2 weeks after the start date asking when he thought they'd be able to start (knowing there are often delays with projects) no response. It is now over a month later and winter is quickly approaching. I have emailed two more times still no reply.I am really disappointed as he seemed professional, and there's no way we can get a fence now before winter hits.

Mark Haynick: Work was done in timeframes he specified but later didn’t answer texts or calls once additional work was needed. Ended up having to hire other individuals to fix and repair the issues from our upgrades.

Nanette Mullaney: I hired Alex to strip, restain and marine grade- varnish a badly-weathered and cracked solid oak table and benches which have been exposed to the elements for several years. After over 20 hours of work he delivered the finished items and we paid in full. Upon closer inspection, I had some concerns about the table. He returned twice to get everything right. He offered to redo the entire project at no charge, but that wasn't necessary. His two trips back to address concerns were satisfactory. He was gracious and professional every step of the way. I recommend Alex and plan on rehiring him next year to clean and stain our deck.
