We were told 30 min for bloodwork, it was over an hour.Going on 7 hours and still not sure when we'll have any answers. Felt forgotten about most of the night. Over $500 for bloodwork.

Brigitte Hagman: Life saver when you need it. I have been to Westville and I trust EVCC way more. It's expensive... but if you have a sick or injured pet, that comes second. That staff took me seriously and that my cat was seen very quickly.

Angela Bowers: Brought our dog in and found out she had GD and they were quick to act and we beyond friendly. If there was options for treatment and they didn't push you one way or another. The kindness and care of my dog was just great because she is particular about people.

Mary Lavery: One star is too high of a rating you should offer a no star rating. After calling first as your website suggests I took my kitty to the Mishawaka clinic. Staff was advised that he was having bloody diarrhea for 24 hours with clots. Staff took his vitals said they heard evidence of possible URI, that his vitals were stable and told me to go wait in my car that was 7:30pm. At 11:00pm I went back inside. Kitty was in a box carrier and was softly meowing. I told the receptionist that according to posted information he should have been seen urgently and she argued saying his vitals were stable. Around 2:00am, someone came and got the kitty to recheck his vitals and to have him see the vet. Shortly, I was taken to an exam room and the vet came in and told me my kitty had died. I was offered necropsy, at my expense of course, and "free cremation." I can't help but think if my kitty had been appropriately triaged and offered treatment in a timely manner, he would still be alive. We will never know will we.

Kaci: Took my fur baby Bella in & they was all very understanding about what happened the wait time was long but I understood why, sad for all the ones who lost they fur baby last night they was very caring with Bella, they answered every question we had & didn’t get annoyed with me it was my first time having to deal with a vet for this reason & I didn’t know everything so I had many questions! Hope I don’t need to go bad ever but if anything ever happens again this place is where I’ll go! For everything she got I only paid a very little ! The prices are amazing!

Sara Dunn: EVCC was absolutely amazing during a very stressful time. All the staff were friendly, compassionate, and knowledgeable. The environment was clean and comfortable. But most of all, they took AMAZING care of my cat. When she came in, we weren't sure she was going to make it and 4 days later, I was able to home and continue supportive therapy from home. They let me visit with her while she was inpatient. Thanks to all the wonderful staff for all the care and love you provided. Highly recommend!

Emily C: Very expensive but that was to be expected. Doctors were amazing - we loved how friendly and kind the Veterinarians were in such a stressful time for us. I felt completely assured leaving my pup overnight that she was in great care. Everywhere from the lobby to the bathroom to the areas we were called back into when it was our turn were extremely well kept and very clean.

Jaddien Micuda: My cat Sparrow had to stay over night because he went into respiratory distress (he has asthma). They got him checked in immediately and he was well taken care of. Upon checkout he was back to his healthy happy self and is doing great! His care actually costed less than the low end of the estimate!

I also got charged extra for a private cremation when the company they use does it that ways anyways.

debra richards: They are unable to handle a dog that is timid or has anxiety going to the vet!!! They sedated my dog when we agreed it was not in the best interest since she had to have IV fluids trying to pass a foreign object…plus they put a leather muzzle on her so it wasn’t necessary! I had to take her for emergency surgery because they don’t have the staff! It was when I arrived at the EVCC in Westville I noticed she was almost falling over and when she ended falling asleep she peed herself and didn’t even realize it! Never having a problem at either of the Emergency Veterinary Care Centers with being able to handle my dog! Time to find another that can…

She truly cares about your pet’s well-being, while also being sensitive to how their humans might be feeling, and is sure to go over all available options, the pros and cons of each, and gives her recommendation without making you feel judged at all if you decide to move forward with another option. She goes above and beyond to explain things, and even suggests ways to save money if a particular medication or supplement is available over the counter at a store or human pharmacy instead. We’ll never take our pups anywhere else.

They got her in, had her records from her vet in South Dakota, and promptly checked her stools, gave her medications and sent us home with her medications and food. At first we seemed happy but after several visits, we soon realized they were giving us no information and just doing procedures and other things to get more money out of us.We ended up taking him to his regular vet, Tender Care, and my goodness could we have saved ourselves a lot of heartache and MONEY!Tender Care is the best name possible for this Vet because, simply put, they truly do provide Tender Care. They were so joyous to see my little guy and treated him like he was their own pet.The took me back to show me his injury, something the emergency vet never even game me information on, and I felt so pleased to finally understand what was going on.Tender Care then took time out of their busy schedules to update him on all of his vaccines, moving my appointment up to that same day so that I didn't have to waste time and come back.Everyone here is INCREDIBLE! They truly feel like apart of my pets family.I cannot say enough great things!Thank you, Tender Care Veterinary Clinic!

But the experience is always nice.As you step through the door you and your pet are greeted, and cared for up till you leave.I even called once to ask if they could email me their vaccination records for a grooming appointment, and they had great customer service over the phone!

Lexi Nawrocki: Horrendous experience that has traumatized my dog. We won’t be back. To top it all off, they NEVER answer their phones. I decided to drive down (only for them to tell me they couldn’t help me or see us again because my dog wasn’t socialized enough?). The receptionist appeared to be doing nothing, and no patients were waiting to be seen, but still no phone calls were being answered. Unacceptable after I’ve spent hundreds of dollars here and referred 100s of people to this clinic. After their recent expansion, customer care/service has declined.

They saw him almost immediately, literally a 15 minute wait. They offered many services in hopes of saving my boy, but in the end the most humane thing to do was end his suffering. They waited for my niece and sister to arrive so we could say goodbye together. My niece is special needs, and the entire staff assured us any noise she ended up making would be fine. Po had a lovely death. He died surrounded by love. I will be grateful forever.

Christy Sizemore: My 10 lb yorkiepoo went downhill extremely fast, within 12 hours she was critically ill. Dr. Garrett can be credited with saving my dog’s life, as well as the staff at Night Owls. They all took the time to explain all of the test results and the medications to help me get through the night. Even though they close at 10, they kept my Lola until almost midnight to give her the fluids and sugar she needed with an uncommon diagnosis of Addison’s disease. These people give up their time with their own families and pets to help others. Frankly, the $1,200+ I paid was worth every penny. I’d refer anyone here. These people are kind, generous and truly care about animals. I am so grateful to all of them.

NWI VTA: In a world full of hate, I chose to see the good! In a world where everything you do is looked at with a fine tooth comb and smeared over the internet. There are humans under those scrubs and jackets. Real people that are leaving their own sick and ailing pets at home while holding their bladder with an empty stomach to provide care to your pet. No one enters the veterinary field to harm or hurt pets. In light of recent reviews, I’m leaving 5 stars. I know nothing about your service, your care, your team, or what happened in this case but I do know that I’ve been there. Every tech, doctor, assistant, and receptionist has been there. Sadly 1 and 6 veterinarian could not pull themselves out of it and chose to end their lives because of it. This field is hard enough. We wake up every day wanting to change the world, provide the best care possible, and continue to always support the pet parent! Tonight, I’m supporting the team at Nights Owl Wellness and Urgent Care. Keep your head up team.

Ally Reńe: My boyfriend and I took two of our cats in recently due to a really bad accident and we couldn’t be happier with the help we received. They were wonderful and kind when we had to put our sweet Loki down. The vet was honest when we asked what to do and didn’t try to get more money out of us. With our Binx- they were kind and very helpful. Everyone was so nice and helpful- even once we made it home and called the office for help everyone was kind and helpful and not once did we feel we were taken advantage of or used for money. Everyone from the vet to the front desk were so kind and supportive and we are so appreciative of everyone at Night Owl’s.

James Kauzlarich: Very kind, but also very expensive.'They' changed the rules while I wasn't looking. I'm not used to the idea that pet medications are the same price as human medication, and had no Pet Insurance, so was totally flabbergasted by the prices of EVERYTHING! ADDITIONALLY I was, and still am, floored by the unfriendly notices that tell you to wait in your car, rather than come in. Makes you feel that you are at some Hoidi Toydi establishment that doesn't think you're good enough to be seen with. Like they are saying "Go around to the back door".None of that is Night Owl's fault. I'm sure that the pharmaceutical industry worked VERY hard to make selling medication in Pet Stores for pennies on the dollar illegal.Still, I never imagined spending $1,000 on a pet in one go. I have to get over it. It's not my cat's fault either.

Angie: This is my go to place when it's urgent to get one of my cats seen because they're too sick to wait for a normal vet appointment. I usually get Dr. Kumm and have no complaints. Wish I could see her as a regular vet I am that happy with her treatment of my cats. Her prices are budget friendly $100 to start unlike my vet whose emergency price starts at $400. I can recall one time my cat was so sick that I did wind up paying around $400 but it was worth it because my cat quickly improved in less than 48 hours. Dr. Kumm has always explained her recommendations for treatment clearly and costs before committing to any treatment. It's nice for her to be so honest on what's urgent treatment and or tests and ones that can be put off for my regular vet to do to help save me money that I may not have at that time. I've been turned away once because they were maxed out for the day but I got in quickly the next morning and my cat was stable so it didn't hurt to wait one more day. It's always takes me roughly about 4 or 5 hours for the entire visit. I think they have a small staff of vets and that's why the long wait. Plus they're the only emergency vet in the area except another one I won't mention because they had a rude vet so I won't go there ever again.

Janice Focosi: If ever you are in need of emergency vet care for your pet please DO NOT take your animal to @Night Owls Wellness + Urgent Care. I cannot stress this enough. Blanche had issues bearing weight on her hind end and yesterday I notice she was bleeding and had blood clots in her mouth. I was advised by my vet to take her to Night Owls. We checked in from our car and they eventually came and got her. You are not allowed in with you pet so I waited in my car for the vet to call. I authorized and paid for $986 worth of diagnostics, and the person I spoke with said, “it may be less,” but in the same breath stated it would be more. They tell me I didn’t have to wait in the lot but I’d hear back in an hours. Two hours later I get a call back stating her platelets were at a ZERO but they weren’t done with the diagnostics. The vet proceeded to tell me everything else looked good with the exception of her platelets and a tick borne illness. At no point was there any indication her situation was life or death. Night Owls proceeds to charge me even more money for a myriad of meds and said I could take her home as follow up with my vet the next day. Upon review of the itemized receipt I noticed an additional charge for “room care/drop off” which was never disclosed. Oh, and I was told at this time I could call some other urgent cares to ask if they have blood products.This morning I call my vet to get her in for bloodwork but none of the vets were working and the soonest they could get her in was Thursday so I get it scheduled. Around 5 o’clock in the evening Blanche came into the kitchen and I noted her eyes were no longer amber color. I called Joe in and when we looked with a flashlight we noticed her eyes had filled with blood. I call Night Owls who informed me they do not have blood products and told me I’d need to call some urgent care vets in Fort Wayne, Westville, and/or Kzoo to see if they had any. If I found a place that had them Night Owls would happily send Blanche’s record over. I called Westville and asked about plasma, the vet immediately got on the phone and I explained that Blanche had zero platelets and I was told to call around to see if I could find an emergency vet that had them in stock. The vet at Westville told me that Blanche should have never come home last night and that I should have NEVER been tasked with sourcing blood products. Sadly, we took Blanche to Westville where she euthanized.I am still reeling over the fact that Night Owls continued the diagnostics when, as soon as the zero platelet result came back, everything should have ceased. They offered hope where there was none. I am heartbroken at the loss of my beloved Blanche but also disgusted at the way this was handled by Night Owls, shame on them.

o1mtbiker: I’m not sure if I left a review prior or not, so I might as well share my experience. My puppy Ruger (huskipoo) was attacked through the fence in my back yard, messing up his muzzle pretty good, multiple bites, as he was only 3 months old at the time. I called my regular vet (magrane) and they referred me to night owls, since it was an emergency and they was short staffed at the time.Night owls was very easy to deal with, they took my puppy in swiftly, stayed in contact with me about the steps they needed to take and what they recommended was needed. They didn’t try to up sell. They did a wonderful job fixing my dogs muzzle and stitching up his gums. It ended up not costing as much as the original quote, they where very professional, I would use the again if the need arose.Ruger and his brother are litter mates and turn 1 on the 19th of December.(Ruger has the white muzzle)

Anthony M.: I called at about 710 715 to ask questions about my dog as alot of the other vets had closed and they told me that because they close in the next 45 to 50 minutes they could not see my dog and recommended a 24hr vet clinic an hour away. I live 8 minutes from night owl. My dog died in my car that night as I was holding her she was 8 months old.

Gina Bartocci: This place has been so good to my pug! Everyone is extremely kind and helpful. We went in for seizures and they were very thorough. We did have to wait about 4-5 hours since she was stable but considering the wait times where I used to live that was nothing. They let me pick and choose the care I wanted to go forward with and were very transparent about cost for each item on the estimate. I’ve been able to call back two times since our visit with questions and each time the vet assistant was able to speak to the veterinarian and give me answers. In other experiences I’ve had with ERs they won’t do that and just have you come back again. I would recommend this place to anyone with a pet emergency!
