Lisa Kuhns: They got our system working after 2 trips to our property, but the collar was still not set for our puppy's needs. Even after training, she would cross the line without the collar doing anything but beep. I called the office 3 times for them to come out and increase the setting on the collar, and I was told I would get a call back to set up a time. In that time I recieved bills for both service calls, after being told I would only need to pay for 1, since they didn't fix it the first time. Several weeks later, our puppy got hit on the road, because of their negligence to get back with us. We still had not gotten any call or response from Invisible Fence of South Bend. When I called them to let them know what had happened to our puppy, and to ask about our bills, I was again told I would get a call back in 30 minutes. 2 weeks later I still had not received a call back from Jim, when the receptionist called me to ask how I would like to pay for my outstanding bills. I was then told that in order to return the collar (that did absolutely nothing for us), I would need to bring in the the transmitter board as well, which they replaced, but is a part of their warranty. I took the collar and board back, but still had to pay for the service call of the first visit they made to our house. Will not be recommending them to anyone now or in the future. Very disappointed with our experience, after only seeing good reviews, before contacting them.

Jason Couse: If I could give them 0 or negative stars, it would still be too many. We signed our quote in late April, put half the price down and were schedule for install on June 1st. I call a couple days before install to make sure they come and mark underground wires and gas. I talk to Greg Bailey, and he states they are running late and asked to change install to June 5th. I agree and they schedule material for delivery on June 4th and install June 5th.I get a call on June 3rd from Greg stating that he messed up and scheduled material to be delivered on July 1st not June first. They are also out of the fence we ordered, and asked to change designs. We said no, and would wait on the Liam. When I asked what they are going to do about it, I got a "sorry". Material is supposed to be in stock middle of June with install shortly after. It is now June 28th with no install date in sight.After the original June 1st scheduled install date passed, they had the audacity to send me an email asking to pay the remaining balance. Received a second follow-up invoice the next day.Currently out over $3,000 with no install date in sight. They gave us a quote for the fencing and asked for part of the money up front so they could purchase the fencing, I sent the check the same and it cleared my bank one week later and this all started the last week of April. When I called the young lady said they just started 2 big jobs and couldn't do another job until those 2 big ones were done, we are on the board and they would get to us as soon as they can. We had to do all the calling, they never once called us except to say they can't come today. I am so upset , will not refer them to anyone.

Chad installed our fence, which, you could barely tell after a few days (yard looked fine). He was very helpful and knowledgeable with how to train the dog and even has you walk the dog around the fence with you and helps you with the commands to ensure your pup doesn’t get shocked.only took our German short haired pointer a few days before he knew not to even go near it. James Backs: Some families near us have dogs (including us) and lakefront lots. Conventional fences are aesthetically undesirable. Chad Thomas of Pet Stop installed an invisible fence around our lot in such a way that the dogs stay home and out of the road but can board the boat and swim with their Pet Stop collars. The installation was completed in a day and neatly done. Chad helped with the dog training and followed up well. When the fence needed an adjustment, Chad responded quickly. It has made life at the lake much more pleasurable and happy. I recommend Chad and Pet Stop.

Scott Jones: The good, and the bad…The Good: Great Lakes Fencing & Decking installed a very nice 6’ cedar privacy fence for me in July 2020. After staining it myself, it is a really attractive fence, and done well. It isn’t perfect, but I would use their services again or recommend them to a friend if this was my only experience.The Bad: Great Lakes Fencing & Decking installed a 5’ chain link fence at the back of my property together with the above-mentioned 6’ cedar privacy fence. I had a few branches fall on sections of that fence on New Year’s Day after the ice storm that hit the area. I had no response after emailing to inquire about repair, but I thought, “heck, I’ll just do it myself.” When I finally got to it in early May, and started removing the first fence post that I thought had been “damaged” by the falling branches, I realized they hadn’t been damaged at all. They were simply tipped over because they were only 6’ posts for a 5’ fence. On the bright side, it was extremely easy to remove the three posts (with proper 8’ posts) that had been knocked over, basically no digging was involved. But…. WOW.I now have 16 more posts to replace. For reasons that should be obvious, most of all to Great Lakes Fencing & Decking.

Then upon inspection of the fence , the tips of the screws were all sticking out of tbe wood to where they popped two play balls and could have easily shredded my grandkids skin. The owners were not a bit concerned. When they "FINALLY" gog around to coming back to fix it. The owner lied and said we insisted on using menards fencing and that menards picket size was different than everyone elses!!! Are you kidding me!! I couldnt have looked dumb enough to believe that. Then all they did was beat the tips of some of the screws down. Thanks for nothing!! Now she only has 1/2 the screw tips hanging out to hurt the kids. And a whole ton of hammer damage from lazy inadequate workers. They clearly are only about collecting the money and sticking people with junk!! I looked into all our local building companies. Fence pickets dont vary vy company. They are standard american lumber size. My daughter got 3 gates. One of the 3 is a double gate for cars , trucks or lawn tractors. The fates couldnt open all the way and the second storm left the hardware bent and inoperable. This is the worst fence company ever. Use at your own risk. But dont think they care about you , your needs or security. Fake shotty company. THEY'RE ALL ABOUT COLLECTING YOUR MONEY AND THATS IT!!Service:Wood fence installation
