South Bend Farmer's Market: what do users think?
Blake Zoller: Just had the smoked brisket hash it was amazing.
Anne Napoli: Freshest fruits & vegetables right from the farmers. Meat, bread, pastries - all local and homemade. One of the best area treasures!
True Blue: South Bend Farmers Market is such a treasure. All year long there are always new things to discover from local producers, bakers, butchers, artists, jewelers and growers. The restaurant is great. Can't reccomend it highly enough for fresh ingredients, retail therapy or just to browse and be inspired.
CD Rosa Crossdresser: Love their caramel popcorn
Elizabeth Gamez: Racist. Today was the first time I came here because I was told at my local WIC office that they had vouchers here. I went to the office and I was attended by an older white obese woman. She took one look at me and ignored me and when I tried to grab her attention once more she huffed and puffed. She then told me in such a harsh manner that the WIC vouchers are no more and she doesn’t think they will be coming back. I looked at her in disbelief and she then asked if I understood English. I simply said thank you for your time and she said your welcome in such a sarcastic way. First and last time I will be coming here. Although I’m a single mother in need, I will not allow myself to be bashed like that again.
Jan Jacob: Love this place!!
christopher: Lived this place as a kid and even more so as an adult
Rwings73: Fresh produce and meats. The mushroom stand is fantastic.
Veronica DeMoss: Always fun here
Ana N: I come here every chance I can get and am always surprised with the variety of produce and crafts. A must visit.
Selina Guevara: Ate too quickly to get a photo. The restaurant there is amazing food and amazing service. Will be thinking about the pork chop for weeks to come
robert young: now Tuesday. Thursday and Saturday. nice place to visit. always fresh and on point. I visit frequently..great local vendors. local honey and pastry.Tuesday Thursday Fridaycome here tuesday for vegies and fruit (luv me some watermelon) fridays for coffee.. lots of coffee teas and spices. just always a good visitSaturday visit was especially memorable. 10.10notre dame children choirs singing their little hearts 💕 out.
Jalynn Stewart: Delicious coffee and pretzels, the vendors were friendly and willing to answer questions about the produce
Mariana Schnell: One of the best Farmer's Market in the Midwest! Great produce, delicious food and unique gifts.
Phyllis Rasmussen: I absolutely LOVE the south bend farmers market. Visit almost every Saturday. Never left a review before because I just assumed everyone loves this south bend local favorite spot. HOWEVER the south bend farmers market CAFE has gone completely down hill. Cannot express how bad the service and wait has gotten over the last few years. The food has almost always been good in the past, the wait staff have always been pleasant, and the service was quick and efficient . Today I went in with my mom and we ordered 2 BLT’s, since the waitress let us know they weren’t doing breakfast due to the fact they were unstaffed—which we understood. We waited 30 minutes for our food, which never came. Our waitress didn’t seem interested in figuring out what the issue was. She just started yelling at the kitchen staff and marching around talking to other customers about the issues. Never once coming over to us expressing any of empathy to the wait. After the waitress and staff started yelling at each other we just got up and left. I leave honest reviews about my experiences. I do not leave them out of spite or anger. My family has had multiple wait issues and service issues with the south bend cafe in the last year or so. We have all decided we might be done with our previously favorite Saturday breakfast spot. Really too bad.
Chris: We visited the farmer's market several times while living in the area. We always frequented the farmer's market where we lived before in the South, but this place is the best, by far. In fact, this is the best farmer's market that we've ever visited. There is so much to buy, from fruits and veggies, to meats and teas. They even had a restaurant there, though it was always too busy for us to try it. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to kill a few hours on a Saturday morning.
Daniel Hall: Always find what I am looking for
Chaz Rich: Great variety and friendly vendors.
Robin Walters: Amazing Seafood! So fresh!!!
Dave Mnichowski: I Love this place ❤ Very "AWESOME" 😎 The Merchants and people are very friendly.
Skylar Jenkins: Great place to go to see what the community has to offer

Purple Porch Food Co-op: what do users think?
Kay Londergan: Best blueberry scones
Glen Hawkins: Always have what i, my sister and my brother & wife want.
Mia Wagner: I consider myself a gummy bear aficionado and they have THE BEST gummy bears around! All natural gummy bears here are packed with wayyy more flavor than any gummy bears I’ve had! Also they have pawpaws (aka the Indiana banana) during the ripe season which is a rare and special find!
Mark Schurr: My goto place for healthy special items.
Rikki Taylor: Great fruits and vegetables
Elizabeth Dawson Drake: This is one of my favorite places to stop on my way home. I love the sense of community they build with their member-owners and shoppers.
Eli Cantu: My favorite neighborhood market!
Hana Parkhill: I love this store! I took my daughters for the first time and they loved it too!
Chrissy S Chrissy: They carry local foods and products. There's also pre-made foods like soups, salads, and breakfast. They have kambucha on tap. My photo is a poke bowl from PokeHale which is from a local pop up. Of you're vegan there's quite a bit of vegan products. I'm gluten-free and I find lots of GF bakery items here.
Johnny Navarro: Very nice festival today...
Joseph Borkowski: Love the atmosphere and the selections. I've been trying to find rye flour for months and they have it in and bag the amount you need. So many different flours I will have to come back and try some others.
amanda havens: We get the majority of our food here. Milk, veggies... Feels good to support our local businesses!
Pat Littlejohn: We love the organic foods, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Kerstin N.: Looooove this sweet little grocery store! Found some delicious vegan grab-and-go options for lunch and a variety of grocery items for our family’s dietary needs. Will absolutely stop here anytime I’m passing through south bend!
Leslie Capers: Treat your body right
Slaterson: Update 3/28/22: I made my annual visit and I still can’t believe how perfect this store is! The nicest employees and a template for what I hope my local coop will offer once it opens.Books, fair trade decor, blankets, the cutest Easter gift baskets, candles, the coziest sweatshirts, gluten-free vegan treats, the tastiest curried cashew hummus, kombucha offerings I’ve seen nowhere else, and gf & v hot soup. Okay, they also carry my favorite raw chocolate (Rawmio out of Illinois, not carried at ANY other health food store I’ve been to) and local moisturizers made by the Soapy Gnome and Sai Shakti.*Bernie 👀 has been relocated to the bathroom, causing me a mini heart palpitation when I forgot about him until I noticed him over my shoulder while washing my hands. 😳Oh my word! I stopped in on the way to my Airbnb and couldn’t have made a better decision! Bernie greeted me, beautiful fresh flowers and plants, lovely candles and coffee and vegan, gluten free, sugar free jam (which I’ve never seen for sale in all for my travels) and all the things I’d ever need to enjoy my little mini road trip for work. I’d stay in South Bend again anytime as long as I can visit the Purple Porch!
Maeve O'Brien: Very nice atmosphere and 100/10, was a little hot in there could have been Bernie Sanders tho
Ana N: One of my favorites in South Bend!
Caleb michalski: they’re soup is great, but the prices are pretty high. price for convenience i guess? maybe im just too broke for the bougie lifestyle
Drew Brown: Great food
Mare: The deli has a convenient variety of vegan-friendly quick bites and snacks like BLT wraps, grain bowls, cupcakes, and more as well as a large bulk dried goods selection of spices, teas, nuts, etc. The grocery department in general is relatively small but full of only the highest standard local, regional, and eco-conscious essentials.

River Valley Farmers' Market: what do users think?
robert young: come here quite often.love the Coffee corner always busy and they offer a loyalty card . I especially love ❤️ 😍 💖 BAKERS DOZEN PASTERIES. OMG SO GOOD..LOVE HER STORE ON SAMPLE ST AS WELL..
Consuela Holt: Fresh food and wonderful restaurant
Jeff Selby: I don't want to tell... because then it will get very busy!!!! No really it's an amazing farmers market!
Charlene Rountree: Great little spot for local small vendors. Glad to see a farmers market crop up here, too.
David Roth: Got to meet some nice people, and also got me these little fellas
Chuck Whetstone: Great price on farm fresh eggs and delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies plus baby 2 week old goats!
Marcie Smith: Very friendly
Bertrand Hochwald: A little bit sparse, but a few good things are available. Building under construction.
Angel Gomez: Nice place I just happened upon😁So nice in there and lots of fresh veggies and fruits. There is also some restaurants inside where this is located...I was so surprised! Needs to be advertised more, so that South Bend community can support the businesses located in the building 🙂
Julie Ormsby: Very convenient location, much more so than South Bend farmers market. Great selection of items but my favorites are salsa, maple syrup, honey, dinner rolls, cookies, potted flowers, sausage, bacon, goat soaps and lotions. I also get my weekly CSA basket here May-September (very generous selection, all organic). In the building are food stands like Mikarri's Bistro (delicious).
Keshava Mysore: A small farmers market that is going on from past year or so, not as much variety as in the SB farmers market. But nice people run it and are very helpful and keep lots of quality stuff.
Cheryl Pomeranz: What a great find! Lots of vendors, even in the winter. Good variety. A perfectly pleasant place to spend an hour or two!
David Matthews: This is a great little farmers market. It's a local / non profit / farmer focused market in the heart of downtown. It's located in the Commerce Center, which is a half block from South Bend's first market that started in 1911. Open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 7am ~ 2pm.
shwetha lv: Very few stalls.. perhaps because we went midweek
Joey Hiben: A pleasant farmer's market that is constantly growing and adding new vendors. Run by friendly, hard-working, and honest folks. Location is prime for a walk along the East race and a dip into the farmers market. Looking forward to exciting things this spring.
Rebecca Miller: Everything you need is here, bread, meat, vegetables, fruit, pickles, salsas, honey, raw milk, sweets, and more! The products are all grown or baked by the person selling it!
Scott Nielsen: These wonderful, literally down to earth, and honest folks are genuinely doing it right! They sell what they produce...a truly pure and authentic Farmer's Market. They are extremely friendly and eager to answer your questions including tips on using and storing their goods.

Fruit Mountain Asian Oriental Food Market: what do users think?
tingxuan gong: 不要购买他们家的散装称重物品,尤其是一个老年人老板在的时候,缺金少两。
Liz Paz: Went in on a mission to get a certain item because our usual Asian market was closed. Pleastly surprised with their selection of items. I'll definitely be back. I didn't find 2 things I needed/wanted but found 2 other things my usual store doesn't carry. Happy we went there!
Michele Woody: The man at the counter was dismissive, rude, and not helpful at all. They didn't have what I needed and I won't be back to see if they have anything else knowing how I will be treated. I'll stick to Sari Sari or Saigon Market
Prichard Richard: Long term customer here. Know the people very well, very friendly people, most of them. Great location for ND students looking for Chinese snacks and groceries.
Wiki LQ (Wikii339): Watch out!!!!!! Many stuffs are expired and not in good shape. If you open the package, and found the soup powder was lumped, or smell terrible, or what, you WERE NOT ALLOWED TO RETURN THEM! Cos the owner will tell you "How am I supposed to sell the opened package?" But dude, they are in bad quality!!! Why should you still think about selling them?????????????? And if I DONT open the package, how do I know its in bad shape? Since when buying grocory is like a lottery? I would rather drive 5 more mins to the korean grocary store or the other chinese grocary store. At least they dont sell expired stuff. RUN!
Pan Du: They won’t accept your return even if it rotten.
Joane C: Good selection of products, but the old lady is not very friendly toward African-Americans (I had a few people I know to go in there to verify). There is a younger guy there that will step in to help when he sees the old lady being rude, but sometimes he's not there. It's small, but packed full of items. Its really close to my house in Granger, but I drive downtown to a different one to spend my money because of the difference in customer service.
Sean Turner: I recently moved back to Indiana after over 20 years. I moved from California, and decided that I'd see what this Asian market had to offer, since I was kinda spoiled with the choices in California. I wasn't displeased at all. There WERE a few items I wish this store had, that I used to get out there, but I knew my options were limited. Nonetheless, I'll keep coming back. They have excellent kimchee.
Berenisse Sandoval: Clean, cute and full of delicious food to shop for! The attendant is attentive and helpful. So many vegetables, meats, seafood, noodles, snacks, herbs, spices and sauces to choose from! I have a new local Asian market to support and shop locally!
Rising Suns Radiance: So happy to shop at this local Asian market. The store is clean and neatly arranged. The attendant greeted us and our shopping experience was nice. There are so many wonderful cooking ingredients to shop for. From all the fresh fruit to the fresh vegetables packaged in the fridges, frozen meats, fish balls, meat balls, frozen seafood, delicious herbs and spices, teas, dried tofu, noodles, cooking sauces, snacks, plus hot pot sauces and curry blocks to shop for, try and enjoy! I have found a new place to shop in and support locally.
BlackBeltStatus: Even though its small, its probobably one of the best Asian Markets in the area. Super clean and the gentleman was very nice. Coming back every week for hot pot meats!
Zhenghang Zhao: pros: one of the only two places to buy Chinese food in town. Food good.cons: they don't care about the customers as they never pave the parking lots leaving customers vehicles on gravels
Gandark M: Good selection
Ambrosia LaFluer: Nice selections
M Wang: Love this market. Everything I buy there is best quality and a fair price. Produce is terrific, esp the fresh Chinese Chives. Good variety and owners are very friendly.
Jeannette Blair: Fruit mountain Asian... Their food was very nice and you can pretty much eat off of it for two days
Win Zaw: Love this little place.
Dennis Miller: Very clean, great selection.
shannon ross: This place is my new love
cherrybeer: Definitely a good place to buy Asian foods and things. The owner is nice if you don't know where you can find what you want. They even have wechat that will tell you if their operating time has changed. I love to go shopping at there so much. Besides, it is just near Martin's and Chase, a place that is very convenient to get anything. I will absolutely recommend my friends to come.
Mike P: Same variety of Asian groceries as before at the old location. Same owners as before also. This location has more space in the store, but the parking space is very limited.

Sunchoke Farms: what do users think?
Alyssa Rangel: Sunchoke Farms has great product that's healthy, fresh, and delicious! Thank you for being so accommodating and helpful. I especially appreciate the recipes and cooking suggestions.
Laura Haigwood: Susan provides a wonderful selection of freshly picked, ripe, delicious vegetables! We have loved discovering new varieties along with our favorite "classics"--tomatoes, lettuce, eggplant, sweet peppers and the best broccoli we've ever had! Her mushrooms and herbs are a delight!
Becky Torstrick: This was our second year with Sunchoke and we took out spring, summer and fall memberships. What a bounty of food we've had! We've had fabulous choices each week and have explored a number of new foods. I love supporting this urban farm. We paid in advance last fall so I've also not seen my food costs going up this summer while still enjoying great produce. Susan is a fount of information about growing things and always offers tips or recipes for new items. Highly, highly recommend going the CSA route for your food!
Matthew McGuire: Absolutely wonderful family farm!
