Leona: The Kaniewski's are some of the most kind-hearted people I've ever met. I had only worked there a little over a month when my grandmother passed away. They handled everything with such grace and made my grandmother, (who had deteriorated from cancer) look like healthy happy grandma again. Her funeral was first class all the way around thanks to the Kaniewski's. They really went above and beyond. The moment I walked thru their doors, they've treated me like family. Over the past few months, I've observed them working with many families, and they treat everyone with that same compassion and care. I'm blessed to know them and to work with them and I cannot brag on them enough. I see first-hand, every single day, how wonderful they are. It's not a show, they aren't putting on, they are genuinely as kind and caring as they come off as. The funeral home is beautiful, clean, well maintained and comfortable. Plenty of places to sit, relax and gather your thoughts, and plenty of places to sit and visit with loved ones. With my very own personal experience, working here aside, I could never take any of my loved ones any place else. They handle every single family as if they were their own. Such love and compassion goes into what they do and I'm so very grateful for them. There's something to be said when a family can work this well together for over 100 years.

Carlton Gary: Saint Joseph Funeral Home always will be my first recommendation when it comes to funerals. Hopefully their services will not be needed soon, but if they are I can be sure that I will be taken care of from beginning to end. The staff is pure and did everything in their power to make us feel like family. We were immediately greeted with dignity and respect by a staff who immersed us in validation. They made sure we knew that we weren’t asking for too much. The star of the show was Mayely. She went above and beyond for our family. She was wonderful in all aspects and her handiwork was on par with her personality. With out her and her efforts I’m pretty sure our funeral would have been transitioned to close casket.The service was a blessing that took many hands to make a reality. Another funeral home we attempted to deal with made the funeral nearly impossible, but SJFH fought with us against them and even took financial responsibility in order to get our loved one here. This was something they didn’t have to do but they did anyway which showed their selflessness and commitment to their work. Mayely’s cosmetology skills were incredible and took our loved one from unrecognizable to nostalgic and reminiscent. We were debating a close casket but she assured us if we gave her time she would be able to bring him up to speed and she completely delivered. With out their combined ever we wouldn’t have been afforded our final chance to see our loved one off.I would love to take this chance to tell you that we thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we appreciate all your hard work and creating an experience that was worth while. Erica Hough: My father passed away November 20th, 2022. He was in hospice so we did have an idea that it was coming very soon I had never planned a funeral so I didn't know what I was doing. So when my father took the turn and began showing end of life symptoms hospice asked me about funeral arrangements. I didn't know what to do so I knew of Palmer funeral home from growing up in the area. I called on Saturday afternoon and they took down my information and Justin called me Saturday afternoon and answered all questions I could possibly have he gave me a basic rundown of what procedures and what would be. And then when Sunday came and my father passed I told them which funeral home and Justin told me exactly what I needed to say to hospice for the location that he worked at to be involved. On Sunday when everything happened I opted to not be in the room when they picked my father up because it would be just to traumatizing for me Justin reached out to me that day to let me know that they had picked up my father and he absolutely guided me through every single step and was there with me for every step of the way we set up a time Monday for me to come in to start the planning process. He was so kind listened to all of my stories that I told about my dad and generally was very nice and made me feel very comfortable and very confident in what decisions I made I cannot think them enough I had never planned a funeral I didn't know how or and I didn't know what to do but he made sure that I was confident and that I knew what I was doing when it came time for the obituary, his office asked me who I would like to be involved in the obituary and asked if there was any other information that I wanted to put in there my father had a doctor who went above and beyond and when I said I wanted to include him he didn't make me feel like that was wrong he encouraged it and he had a staff right the obituary and in a matter of 20 minutes they wrote a beautiful obituary that really just captured my father's spirit I cannot think this place enough for everything they have done they have reached out to check on me and make sure that I am doing okay and that I didn't need anything obviously the cost was discussed but it was never pushed it was never made me feel like you got to pay right this second or nothing like that they were so kind so polite and so professional and I just want to thank everyone there for everything they've done!

He was very nice, patient, understanding, answered our questions in a timely fashion, and most importantly he treated my mother and I with care.
