Scott Boyle: Absolutely five stars. Lawrence is one of the most honest contractors I've dealt with. Was told by Precision Garage Doors that I needed to replace my entire door when it was only my cables that had failed (and quoted an astronomical price just to service it). Lawrence dropped by, told me the real issues and had the parts on hand to fix everything. Price was a FOURTH of what Precision was quoting to do the work. Absolutely, absolutely make Lawrence your first call if you have garage door problems. Talked with me for 10 minutes afterward to make sure I understood everything. HIGHLY recommend.

Ashley Crotteau: I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND going with 1st choice. The springs on my garage door broke and I needed a full torsion conversion. I got a quote from precision for nearly $1400 and from 1-800 for $770. I took one last chance getting a quote from 1st choice and I am so grateful that I did. Lawrence was able to quote me for around 1/3 of the price of precision! On top of that he was incredibly friendly and helpful when getting the right parts ordered. Installation was super quick and they were nice enough to replace the board the springs were attached to since it was starting to rot. I will never go anywhere else for help with my garage door!

Willie H: If I could give them 1 million stars, I would! I found the listing on Google and it said they service the Crown Point area. After calling, Melissa informed me that they were in South Bend and it was about an hour and a half away. She proceeded to tell me that they would be happy to come out to Crown Point, just to help us out, since the new garage door was a Christmas gift to my mom! They were timely, efficient and very helpful! In addition to all of this, their rates were lower than everyone else! David I: Called them last year for an install of a new garage. We picked out the door and motor we wanted (took their recommendation) and a short time later they came and installed it. Everything went smooth, very reasonably priced. Fast forward to yesterday when I noticed the garage door opening and closely loudly. Called, left message. He got back to me later that day and made it a point to stop by today despite his busy schedule to fix it. We now have a garage door working as well as when he first installed it. Very happy.

larry schulten: My garage door malfunctioned and i had the guys come out and they diagnosed very quickly and found out it was bad. They showed me options for the best deal for my situation and picked up the new opener came back very timely and had it all installed and working in less than 3 hours. Very professional and hardworking. Would highly recommend and pricing was very good.

Hina Hussain: I had a sensor fault and called the technician, was told over the phone it would be $70 for them to come out. The guy came over and noticed that the sensor was just pushed back and had to be pushed into position and then said he would go ahead and check the doors and lubricate them while he is here. No mention of that it will be an extra 100$ for him to do so, when it comes time to bill he says it’s 170$ instead of the 100$. My doors were just recently serviced and did not need any oilOr wd40 or whatever it is that he sprayed. It is dishonest to offer something and not mention that it is ab extra charge and when I questioned him, he said they should have never told me a price over the phone…Dishonesty does not build businesses
Brian Stanton: The whole staff at Overhead Door was awesome, received text and email confirming appointment, then text when technician was in route. The text had a picture and history of the technician, technician then called me at work with a breakdown of the repairs. Why would you call anyone else!!!

Charles Carlin: First the good. The service technician was cordial, pleasant to talk with, and the door looks good (see picture 3) and appears to work well, smoothly and quietly.Then the bad. The motor to the door is connected to our home electricity by means of a long extension cord, which we provided, (see picture 2) as the technician did not have a long enough cord on hand. Apparently, the person who appraised and quoted the job did not see that the door motor being replaced was directly wired to our home. The technician said we will need to hire an electrician to do that bit of wiring. We are very disappointed that Overhead Door gave us something much less attractive than they replaced, at least in the garage. The long extension cord hangs down and connects to a plug on the rear wall. I hope Overhead Door will provide or reimburse us for the cost of an electrician, who will either direct wire the motor, or install an outlet so the motor can be plugged in directly.Then a minor bad (picture 1). We have a red house with dark brown trim, no white anywhere, but the external garage door opener is white, not dark brown to match the door and house trim, or at least black and less obtrusive, like the opener being replaced.Update: Overhead Door, as you would expect, has made things right. They paid, insisted, for my electrician (see photo 4) to install an appropriate hookup.
