Michiana Gastroenterology: what do users think?
Jodie Harman: The staff and Dr. Gulliam made me feel very comfortable, for being my first time I was so nervous. The nurse and anesthesiologist went over everything before my proceedure, then Dr. G came in to tell me my results right away. See ya in 10 years!
Ashley: Update: I still can't get my calls returned. I’ve left three voicemails in a week requesting a call back and havent heard a peep.Having a terrible time getting my calls returned to follow-up on my outstanding medication.
Brian Connolly: This office has zero respect for patients' time (will not notify you if an appointment is rescheduled).Having called and confirmed the business day before a scheduled colonoscopy I arrived the morning of the colonoscopy (after prepping). They informed me when I arrived that they had rescheduled my appointment to be 4 weeks out without notifying me. In order for them to agree to perform the procedure that morning they insisted I pay cash and they would not run it through my insurance. In additional to all that, the day before my post-procedure appointment, I received a call to confirm my appointment @ 8:15am on Monday. I arrived on time for my appointment and again they informed me when I arrived that my appointment had been cancelled, again without notifying me.I'm not sure what else I could have done to avoid every negative experience with this office.
Thomas Wilson: So happy to see that Gastroenterology Associates of Michiana has incorporated top notch clinical research services into its practice! The Digestive Research Alliance of Michiana powered by ObjectiveHealth provides access to clinical trials for NASH, fatty liver disease, and more, as an added value to its patients. An awesome option, for which patients can get some FREE medical tests and even get paid to participate! I highly recommend talking to your GI doctor about it.
Vicki Chapleau: Doctor tolerated my abundance of talking well! smile He ordered a Hemo test, and I finally got it done, and saw another new Dr. at the Cancer Center at Memorial, Dr. Atassi, who seems like a possible doctor to help me. I would still like to see a nutritionalist if he can get me an appointment. Thank You!
Kerry Singleton: Dr. VanderHeyden was phenomenal! I was so nervous and he put me at ease immediately. He was very thorough in his explanation of the procedure and has such a friendly and positive disposition! 😊
kathleen glassburn: Wonderful Dr. very good experience.
Colleen Kelsick: Very good
Rick Lord: Thank you, Dr. Gilliam, for all your care and assistance in the past 24 years I’ve been coming to you. HAPPY RETIREMENT!! More golf time now.
Elizabeth Campbell: Great staff, easy and quick and well prepared.
AMY RAYL: Everyone is really nice and willing to help at all time, they got out if their way to get you the answers you need.
Abundant Life: I wish I could give a zero star. Worst doctor office ever! The office manager Melissa is the worst office staff I have ever seen. She is very rude and would hang up on you if you ask questions. I wonder with her attitude why she still works there. Probably she is a relative of some doctor in the office. Go figure! I would not trust and recommend this office. Go to somewhere else.
oldguyrocker: Great experience. Everything went well. Staff was very courteous and attentive. Pre-procedure to post-procedure, everything went without issue.
S Hackema: Always informative and friendly.
Alice Adamczyk: Very accommodating staff. Professional yet friendly. Understanding and patient.
Donald Horner: Dr. VanderHeyden is the epitome of a superior doctor. Great bedside manner, complete knowledge of his field and a genuine concern for the patient's well being
Anna Jones: Dr. VanderHeyden is the BEST. He cares, and that means alot! Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Cherie Collier: Appointment was on time. Dr Manbeck listened carefully and was helpful about my concerns.
Talia Stokes: Doctors never return calls you have to make an appointment just to speak with the doctor
Bryen Miller: It's really hard to get a call back and they seem very understaffed, but the staff is friendly. Never had many appointments and spent very little time with Dr. Tatel. When I was diagnosed with gastroparesis, I was basically given a prescription, but no info on the disease or how else to manage it. Overall not the best experience. Amanda in referrals has been wonderful.
Helen Love: Fast, knowledgeable doctors and help

Yaseen Zuhair MD: what do users think?
masaku88: Doctor Yaseen is lazy at best. He did not review my chart before speaking with me. He asked me a ton of redundant questions and then proceeded to speak over me when I answered. Very rude. Always in a rush.He determined that my pain was likely stress induced / in my head without even asking me questions about my stress levels or diet habits. We had barely gone over family history when he came up with that gem of a diagnosis.Still I pressed on to try to explain my symptoms. He wasn't listening like at all. He would ask me if I had certain symptoms that I had literally just finished telling him I had. After a few more minutes of asking me questions only to interrupt me half way through he said "sometimes we have pain for no real reason" like seriously? I'm paying you hundreds of dollars for that? So I insisted that something was not right and he did end up ordering me tests thankfully because it was not in my head btw. Also by the end of the visit he determined my diet was the cause of not my imagination (basically) after ZERO questions about my current diet...like what? I was handed a sheet of paper labeled LOW FODMAP diet labeling foods that are apparently low in fodmaps. He never explained what the diet was or anything. Said to follow it and I'd feel better. Well he never explained that it isn't a long term diet. It's a type of elimination diet where you are supposed to slowly try adding things back one at time after a few weeks. It's extremely restrictive. It's not sustainable long term and he failed to mention that.It honestly felt like he couldn't be bothered with me, and why should he? He gets paid the same whether he helps his patients or not.
