Warren Guitar Lessons: what do users think?
Diana: Taking lessons here was pretty good for a while although i showed up today and after being there for 10minutes he told me to leave because he doesn’t want to teach me anymore. Simply because I have been barely practicing due to my personal life and he somehow didn’t know how it was benefiting me (which isn’t for him to decide) but hey you get what you pay for!! Btw the amp is not included because it doesn’t even work ( it says it is on the website)
Justin Lang: Jamie is a phenomenal instructor. I took lessons with him for about 7 months before I had to discontinue due to my class schedule, but I learned so much during my time with him and I progressed quicker than I thought possible. Highly recommend him!
Molly Kelsey: Jamie is the absolute best. I saw him for about 6 months as a beginner guitar player and made tremendous progress. I was deeply impressed by his organization, attention to detail, teaching style, emphasis on practice methodology and willingness to give me as much as I could handle. His mastery of classical guitar techniques have satisfied all of my desires for studying classical music and techniques.I moved out of town after the first 6 months with Jamie and tried to find a new instructor. I asked around for the best in town but quit after a month or two. There was no order, no strategy, no clear direction, no work to do and no progress. I am still out of town but have restarted lessons with Jamie remotely and could not be more pleased with his instruction.
sdqh57: I found Jamie just before my 59th birthday and have never regretted my late start learning guitar, other than that it didn’t happen 40 years earlier. Knowledgeable in all aspects of not only guitar, but music in general, Jamie never leaves me feeling slow nor lacking in any way. A truly talented person will flourish in his tutelage! He will inspire and encourage any age student, energize the “used to play” by renewing the fire to begin again or plant the seed in the beginner with learning on the very first lesson. I encourage anyone wanting to learn to play guitar to call right away and get started. What are you waiting for?!
Chad Edwards: Jamie is simply great. He worked with my teenage son 2 years ago, and now we have gone back for lessons for me and my younger son. He is wonderful at integrating fundamentals with theory and whatever songs maintains your interest. Friendly, down to earth, and wicked good on the guitar. Teaching style is strong and organized. He's a pro. I would highly recommend.
Jerry DeMoss: Jamie does a great job. As an adult, I have a lot going on aside from guitar, and he understands that. He doesn't have a cookie-cutter approach, but he keeps things organized so that I'm still making measureable progress. Unlike other teachers I've had, he doesn't just show me how to play riffs. He's been able to fill gaps in theory and technique while keeping it interesting. Just because someone plays guitar well doesn't mean they teach guitar well; Jamie does both.
Dan Buck: Jamie is knowledgeable, highly skilled, and a pleasure to work with. If you're on the fence about getting lessons I recommend you give him a call.
Gordon Payton: Jamie is an excellent guitar player and musician, as well as being an excellent instructor for students of all levels of experience. He not only teaches how to play guitar, but how to read music, keep time and rhythm. Learning to play guitar is something I have always wanted to do but did not make time to do so until a bit later in life (59). I started with Jamie not knowing anything about how to play the guitar or how to read music. He has great experience and patience with how to teach to the individual in a way that you understand and make it challenging and still fun. I have learned more than I guessed there is to a guitar and have much, much more to learn. The more I learn, the more I progress in playing the more I want to learn and the more I want to play.
Stacey Richez: "Jamie is a great teacher. He helps me with the things that are hard for me, he's nice, and he's a great guitar player." Aaron Richez age 12"I can't believe how much Aaron has learned in the last year of lessons with Jamie! My son tried band at school but he struggled to keep up with the quick pace they were moving ahead with learning notes and he needed the slower, one-on-one pace of private lessons. He really enjoys Jamie and playing with Jamie in their sessions. Jamie is always prompt and professional." Stacey Richez, MIshawaka
Jim Sowders: Jamie is an excellent guitar player and teacher. Our 9 year old son has been taking lessons from him the past couple of years. He has learned so much from Jamie and we are very happy with his progress.
Peter Martin: We actually discovered Jamie through a Google search, and we couldn't be happier! He's been teaching our 12-year-old daughter for the past two years, and her progress is impressive. She's playing everything from Taylor Swift to Neil Young and Black Sabbath. Jamie is genuinely interested in helping our daughter learn to play songs she likes, which makes practice and lessons fun. He studied professionally in L.A. and is committed; this is not a hobby but his passion and full-time career. Jamie is affordable, flexible, patient, professional and fun. He has a great connection with our daughter and really inspires her to learn more. We highly recommend Jamie for students of all ages...but especially for young novices!
Joe Tordi: I have been taking lessons for several years now and never thought I would learn so much about playing the guitar. Not only do you learn songs you never thought you could play, but also get taught what music is and how it's composed. Jamie is a top notch guitar player and teacher and a friendly guy, which makes guitar so easy to learn. I will definitely continue lessons and would recommend new or even experienced players to take lessons from him.
Evan Pormen: Jamie is a very skilled and knowledgeble guitar teacher. I have been taking lessons from him for around two years and now I can play most songs I dreamed about playing. Remember that your progress isn't based entirely on the teacher but by how much work you put in. Follow Jamie's ;lessons and practice the assignments he gives you and you'll be a great guitar player in no time. I am still amazed at his skill, and any questions I have ever had he has had the answer to. 10/10 would recommend
Noah Alan: Jamie Warren is by far one of the best guitar players in the area and is an outstanding teacher! I've been taking lessons with Jamie for the past 6-7 years and it has been nothing but an amazing journey! 10/10 recommend him over anyone else!
Anibal M. Medina-Mardones: I hate to give negative feedback, but my experience of unreliable service and unpolite attention made of Warren Guitar Lessons a regrettable disappointment.
Rich Searer: I have been taking guitar lessons for many years from Jamie Warren. I have had several instructors over the years and in my opinion Jamie has been the best one for several reasons. To Jamie guitar playing is journey not a destination. He never stops improving his own skills by practicing mechanics and techniques that allow him to be one of the best lead guitarists in the Michiana area. For his students, Jamie leads by example by practicing what he preaches. He has been supportive of my goals as a player, has offered me opportunities for growth, and by his instruction allowed me to begin to fulfill my dreams of becoming a musician. Learning to play guitar has brought much joy and happiness to my life, and for that I thank him.-Rich Searer
Brent Williams: First of all Jamie is a top rate guitar player. After all, you need somebody who can play better than you if you hope to learn anything new! So, that is a good start. Secondly, and most importantly, he is a good teacher. He listens to you, comes up with a game plan to help you learn, and then caters the lessons to meet those needs. Too many music instructors are good musicians and poor teachers. I've seen Jamie working with young kids and older students such as myself and he's helping them on all levels. I think you will find a good fit with Jamie. He covers a wide range of musical styles and has a very deep level of understanding in music. His educational background is very solid and he can transfer that knowledge to his students. Check him out, have some fun, and learn something at the same time. I don't think he'll disappoint you. Keep playing!
Kyle Smiley: I have studied at Warren Guitar Lessons for over 3 years and every week I have made progress in my playing and musicality. From day one, Jamie has put time and thought into what motivates me musically. He has approached each lesson with my goals in mind and provided a program to accomplish them. I have never left his studio without KNOWING how to make myself a better guitar player. His philosophy has allowed me to EARN results QUICKLY and EFFICIENTLY.I've met many great guitar players but few great guitar teachers and this is where Jamie is a cut above the rest. He is a gifted teacher that brings genuine professionalism, passion for music, and decades worth of experience to his sessions. If you are a beginner looking for your first lesson or an experienced player seeking a master class Jamie is your man!-Kyle Smiley
mark richard: I've taken lessons from him for the past 4 years. I was apprehensive about taking lessons, but after meeting with Jamie for his free introductory lesson all of my fears were gone. He not only teaches his students to read music, he articulates how and why musics works. I have tried learning from online courses but found that keeping focused nearly impossible. His professional lessons have improved my playing in ways that I can only begin to describe He is able to look at and suggest necessary changes to my fingers placements and approach to the fret board. He makes chords, scale, modes, notation, tabs, and an endless number of other exercises fun and easy to learn. I like the recordings Jamie makes to help me practice exercises that I'm learning. He records music pieces at slow speeds and at tempo to make it possible for me to get the music under my fingers. I've been fortunate to also have participated in some of his group lessons. Playing along w/students at different skill levels is not only educational but also a lot of fun. Give Jamie a try you won't be disappointedMark Richard
James Cope: Jamie Warren is a trained musician and a professional guitar instructor. He’s the go-to instructor in the South Bend area for those truly interested in learning how to play the six-string.Whether you’re a kid of 10 or a senior citizen student like me, Jamie can show you the ropes. I've always wanted to learn how to read music. It’s a challenge, but with Jamie’s help, I’m learning.Like many, I also quickly discovered through lessons my sense of rhythm and timing is a little off, which means what sounds proper and smooth to me, isn't necessarily musically correct, and can sound rough to others. Jamie prescribes a practice solution directed at overcoming this and other problems.Perhaps one of the most valuable skills Jamie has taught me is learning “how” to practice. In some ways, it is really learning how to learn. He breaks down the learning process into manageable chunks; keeps you from feeling overwhelmed. The same is true for learning tunes that might otherwise seem too difficult!
Michael Crehan: I started taking lesson with Jamie early in 2014, after a quick free consultation he offers.. Much better experience than I had previously in the relatively short time I have been taking guitar lessons. My other teacher had a 'what do you want to do today?' approach. Jamie is far more organized and has a written plan to stick with each week. I am a life long lover of guitar music but started taking lessons late in the game (late 50's).. he knows how much to push but realizes I am not a teen ager in terms of other demands on my time.. Still, there is always the feeling of 'did I do enough practicing this week?' before each class..More focus on scales and patterns with his approach, but that is Ok with me... we do not work a lot on songs but I do that on my own.. and I am happy to use class time on other things.. while there is a LOT on the internet in terms of learning songs, Jamie provides good hands-on in terms of technique and how to use the basic knowledge I have gained which allows me to do more improvisation...Also fun to play with him during class..From time to time he offers an opportunity to play with other students, with a new backing track introduced each week and the students learn to improvise while soloing over the backing tracks... challenging but fun when it works... after two months I did feel a bit overwhelmed compared to others in the class.. I had to take off a few months due to personal travel demands and a busy Fall at work.. getting ready to start up again.. Jamie is pretty flexible in terms of fitting you in at a time that works for you... we cannot overlook the fact his rates seems pretty reasonable, helped no doubt by fact he is his own boss..

Miller Guitar Academy (Now Online!): what do users think?
Eileen Dimino: Joellen is wonderful with our daughter! During online lessons, she is patient if there are any connectivity issues (we live in a remote part of town) and quick to help problem solve. Joellen is cognizant of working with children and their attention spans, their abilities and how to encourage them in their music studies. MGA has been a great place to begin my daughter's guitar studies and further her development.
timbaz: Learning to play classical guitar was somewhat of a dream, but with Stephen’s expertise, support and patience I’m realizing that dreams can come true. I count myself lucky to be among his students. Stephen's welcoming attitude at the beginning of each lesson makes learning fun. I highly recommend Miller Guitar Academy (Now Online).
Glorinela Aguilera: My son has been taking lessons since Fall of 2017 and we couldn't be happier with how much he has learned. He is 7 years old and is quickly advancing all due to his love for music, but also because Mr. Miller motivates him and is very patient as well.
Eric Tauck: I've been taking lessons here for about five years and have learned a lot.
Catherine Bronson: Our son has been at Miller Guitar for almost two years. Stephen Miller is a phenomenal teacher, by all measures. In addition to being a talented professor of music at Notre Dame, he instructs children. He is most patient and thorough-going, and our son has developed and crafted his guitar-playing under Stephen's expertise. Highly recommended!
Renee LaReau: My 9-year-old son has been taking guitar lessons here for 6 years and it has been a great experience for him. I chose MGA because it focuses on classical guitar. My son has learned how to read music, play confidently, and use proper technique. He now has a very good classical foundation and also can build on that foundation to experiment with pop and rock songs as well. MGA instructors are kind, knowledgeable, and flexible.

Elkhart School of Music: what do users think?
Roy Zimmerman: Really dedicated to the teaching the art and skills of instrumental music.
jeffery biddle: Just began to observe site. Really like the format of the video. Enjoyed the upbeat approach thru marketing. Nicev video.
Raegan DelGuanto: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI've been taking lessons here for a while now and its amazing! I was self taught for a while, and tried many different teachers for guitar before I found Elkhart School of Music. This is exactly what I was looking for! The teachers are awesome and very friendly. Would deffinetly recommend taking lessons here!! 😃🎵
Dustin Roberts: Very knowledgeable about music and good customer service. They will take the time to answer any of your questions.
Ashley -: Honestly, they seemed knowledgable about instruments, but they, also, came off as snobby.
Korona _: Took piano lessons here for a while. Friendly people especially teacher Mike. Great and friendly man like someone you'd see in a Disney movie. Only financial difficulties I can find maybe is having to buy yourself an instrument to practice on.
Jason Poff: As a former employee AND student, I must say that Elkhart School of Music is one of the best places around for taking lessons, purchasing music equipment, or having repairs done. As a teacher, I was always treated with the utmost respect by the director and staff. I was expected to maintain the high standards of excellence set by the director, and through the director's training, I became a better teacher. I was also very impressed with the knowledge and expertise of the repair staff, and they have done a wonderful job fixing several of my and my daughter's instruments! I have since moved on to pursue more classes to upgrade my degree, but I would never hesitate to send anyone to Elkhart School of Music. They have even carried items in stock that others stores had to order, saving me a ton of time and money! Thanks ESOM!!!
default player: Very professional and caring staff and teachers. The best experience that I have had taking music lessons. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to play an instrument.
Josh Fletcher: I am currently a teacher at ESoM, and I can tell you with all honesty that it's the most rewarding job I've ever had. After hearing good words from around the community, I decided to apply for a position at the school. It was the first application I've turned in that was not for a job that I needed, but for one that I wanted. As a young man, a few years out of college, I was so grateful to be accepted into the ESoM family. Music is my life and my passion, and I get no better satisfaction than by instilling that passion in others.I look forward to meeting with my students each week - each of them learns and grows in their own way, and seeing them improve over time makes me proud! It doesn't matter what age or skill level you are, the education and communal experience you'll get at the school will make you feel right at home.
Tim-Bessie: My son has been taking guitar lessons here since October 2016 and loving it! They are doing a wonderful job, and it's affordable! The lessons are 30 minutes and in my opinion that's long enough to learn new things to practice on and short enough that he doesn't become bored from too much info! I definitely recommend this place. 🎸
Myranda Firestone: I'm am 100% sure they do a fantastic job and offer great guidance. I myself don't understand how much I expect my 8 year old to learn in 30 minute sessions once a week. I'm almost certain he wouldn't remember his teachers name let alone thoroughly grasp the music concepts necessary to count as a productive lesson. It seems I'd only be able to nurture my sons interest in music if I were to take up a second, maybe third job.
Dustin Crump: I give this institution a very honest 5-star rating, which I will do my best to explain.I am a teacher here, and have been for several months. I want to make it clear that this was neither a job for which I was looking, nor is it a job that I need. I work here because I want to.When I heard about a need for a voice instructor, I spoke with the director and scheduled a visit to the school (honestly believing that I would probably not go for a position, if offered). However, the conversation I had with the director during the visit changed my mind. I was impressed with the standards to which each teacher is held and by the level of importance that is placed for the experience and education of each student at the school. I hope that everyone reading this believes me when I say that THIS IS RARE. Especially for an institution that caters to all ages. This is why the school has students attending from all over and why the school has been growing. As a passionate and professional teacher, I was moved. I decided that I wanted to be a part of this and turned in my resume, later accepting the position.Working at this school, I am rewarded each day of teaching by my students, and I continue to grow, myself, as a teacher. I am a millennial who is proud to be working here and encourage anyone interested in teaching or taking music lessons to consider the Elkhart School of Music.
Jessica Brandli: Super happy with their efforts on finding the right instrument for my child. The instructor has really been good with my child.
generalcarver: I take both my children here for violin and voice lessons. The instructors are polite and professional and great with children. I have found them very easy to work with. The owner is kind and professional and was great with helping find the instruments, accessories and supplies we needed. Highly recommended!
Dominic Bartolini: My son has been taking lessons for the last 10 mouths and We are vary pleased with this school and would recommend others to attend
April Mink: My family has been beyond pleased with ESoM! Our daughter started out as a beginner on the violin in February. She has loved every lesson! Teacher Mike's music instruction is top notch. The progress my daughter has made in just two short months is testimony to this. She isn't just plucking strings, she's bowing songs! The staff is warm and welcoming, and I appreciate the efficiency of the front office. We drive from South Bend for lessons, and I'd happily drive farther. I feel like I found a hidden gem! 5 stars!
Kevyn corona: My teacher is cool. He goes at a very nice pace and I enjoy how he teaches :))
Paul Skelly: Great teachers, nice staff. Lessons are a bit on the expensive side but they're totally worth it, they've really helped my musical skill and knowledge grow.
