Krystal Shangle: This place was terrible. I was appalled by the condition of the barn and stalls. The pastures where horses were turned out were dirt and mostly dirt. No grazing available that i saw. The indoor arena was dingy and dark. I would not board my horses here. Horses i have known for years were in poor body condition compared to what they have always been. I was responded to by the owner i believe and let me say, I am not a client to anyone and I am not bashing anyone i was asked for a review i call it how i see it. Kathy did not ask or know i posted anything. And yes it was Bo that has lost so much weight I have known since he was a colt. The pasture they were in was full dirt so no its not bashing it was fact. I have known her for over 25 years and until her house burned she never boarded her horses anywhere . And she is a wonderful person. You are the one name calling and bashing. Please have a wonderful evening and if you dont want honest reviews when i saw the things with my own eyes get off the review site.
AMY jo: awesome place to board, barn team is amazing, they care. the trainer is AMAZING!! if you want to learn to ride or want a brush up, she does lessons no need for your own horse she has them too.
Mary Gingras: This is a great place in our horses absolutely love it they are happy the people are great, friendly, and knowledgeable. Things are kept neat and organized and best of all they are on a schedule!
Tom Morris: Liked it
Sanya Vitale: Great place to volunteer

Cheryl Timmons: My grand daughter takes English lessons and has leased a horse once. She loves it here and her instructor Katie. It is like visiting relatives. Kindness, patience, knowledge, skill and safety are constant. They also offer wonderful birthday parties.
Kim Booth: They host great Birthday parties and provide excellent riding lessons! Very professional and reasonably priced! We have been coming for a few years now!

The land was absolutely beautiful and all of the animals were so beautiful and so well behaved and you can tell that they take great care of their animals and love them from the horses to the goats, pig, and lama’s!! Our experience was everything I was wanting and more!! Had my daughters birthday party their yesterday Saturday Nov. 5, 2022. She is about to be 4 and she has none stop been taking about the staff and wanting to ride emolji again! Definitely interested in starting lessons with this amazing group for my baby girl
Lori Wolff: Granddaughter has been taking riding lessons @Fallen Oaks for 5 years, The owners and all the Trainers are exceptionally responsible, caring, They take extra time teaching kids all there is to know about horse's and the ranch animals..Summer time they provide activities and summer camps for kids to attend, Absolutely recommend these Camp Activities for your kids...Fun Activities, Games,Horse Rides,Swimming..
Marlaina Johns: Great summer farm camp for the little kids!
Ian Stoller: Great place to buy high quality sheep's wool
MinecraftGamer 145: Awsome place 100000000000/10 must go to if your going to ride horses get lessons here or just go to summercamp its so fun!
Justin Booth: My daughter takes riding lessons here. They are wonderful and I highly recommend all the services they provide!!
Joselyn Edwards: I've only been riding at this stable for a few months, but I really love it! Very professional training and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Love the horses and all the people there, as well as the entire place!
Tracy Olgesy: I have edited my review, given the owner's response. I actually did email the owner at fallen.oaks.farm.and.stables@gmail.com. I did not have a phone number. To revise my review: the facility is beautiful, the animals are well-cared for, and the staff, for the most part, is engaging and enthusiastic. The curriculum is robust and full. We would likely return and recommend this camp, with some caveats (all of which can be easily remedied). My only advice for the owner of this camp--given that she seems genuinely interested in ensuring children are safe and engaged, in a well-managed facility--is to provide young staff with clear guidance on job protocol. While I don't expect a welcome-back party upon retrieving my child, I also don't wish to contend with laconic and distracted staff. As I mentioned in my earlier review, which was likely too critical, two of the younger staff were consumed by their phones, and, as such, weren't really acknowledging parents/guardians (who'd been sent over from the table area to retrieve their kids who were changing). In fact, as I said earlier, they seemed a bit impatient as they called up to the children to come down to their waiting parties. I wanted to inquire about my child's day, or ask about the animals, but I was reticent to do much because I didn't feel as if there was a welcoming forum in which to do so. I felt like a teacher in the hall at HS--distracting and irksome. The owner cannot be blamed for these behaviors. I understand the general obsession with phones and social media. I wish this did not detract from the camp experience (and it likely did not diminish my child's experience)--it was just not something I expected to experience at a facility of this caliber, and particularly at a higher price point. I don't expect people to lavish attention upon me or give me a blow-by-blow of my child's day.--I'm not precious. On the converse, I don't wish to be perceived as a distraction to whatever compelling information was being transmitted via TikTok. Thank you for a good experience, all around. I hope staff next year will be better briefed.
anonymous user: I love Katie, she’s very knowledgeable about everything and very understanding.
melodie ringer: A great place to learn to ride and to take care of horses. Wonderful facility, horses and people!
Sarah Corwin: Top notch stable. Amazing farm camp for kids!

Sandy Acres Clydesdales: what do users think?
Mike Nalepa: Great place to be with Clydesdales!
Peggy Lee: Enjoyed the tour we had today. All the animals were out and wanted attention. I would definitely recommend going and checking them out especially if you have kids.
Bud Jackson: Sandy Acres Clydesdales La Porte Indiana:You can tell that this is not just a business for these folks, this is a true love affair. The lady who showed us around was the owner. She and her daughter were extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. It's hard to explain how truly large and magnificent these animals are until you are standing next to them! The one that we were petting and brushing was approximately 1,800 lb and well over my 5' 10" head!We also spent time with a miniature donkey and her baby, some chickens, goats and a pair of young Clydesdale that we're just being weaned from their mothers. You spent about an hour enjoying the various animals on the property and at no time did we feel rushed, so it's not an all day thing but it's well worth your time.
Suzan Burnside: Wonderful tour and interaction with the animals. From the clydesdales to the barn cat, it was an amazing experience!
Allie Edgecomb Tello: Very friendly! Kids had a great time and learned a lot about the animals!
VideoGuy35: Wonderful family giving people the chance to meet some majestic horses up close. I recommend checking them out around the Christmas holidays for a special experience!
Kathi Schue: Enjoyed seeing all of the animals! Owner was friendly and knowledgeable. Encounter was reasonably priced, and leaves you feeling relaxed and with memories that make you smile.
DeAnna Reininga: What a wonderful place! Got to feed the animals and brush the Clydesdales!! Definitely going back!!! 😊♥️
christine elsesser: Incredibly fun and unique experience! Highly recommend the VIP tour. Interacting with these beautiful creatures is truly a humbling experience!
Squirrel Ssj: Great tour
Steve Pearson: A friend won a sleigh ride here. I wasn't sure what to expect. They were so nice. They gave us an insightful tour of the barw with goats, horses and other farm animals. We got to feed them and brush the horses. Then for a great sleigh ride. It even started to snow! We had an excellent time and learned so much. I highly recommend it!
Shadow Stewart: Cute place. I was there for the fall festival as a vendor. Would love to go back for a tour sometime.
Lisa Ambrose: Well-cared for animals!
Kraig Kaczka: Was across the street maybe some day I'll get to fix their tires.
airgma6: Got a private tour of the farm including feeding treats to goats & horses, petting them & brushing one of the Clydesdales. Took lots of pictures. Great experience!
Niki Schulz: We had a great experience. We did the VIP experience. The host is very knowledgeable and friendly. Interacting with all the animals was fun and they're so gentle when you feed them. I couldn't help but notice how clean and well kept their farm and animals are; and how clear it is that she really loves her animals ❤. I plan on visiting again in the future when I come back with my family.
Zalma: Dropped by this little jewel during our stay at New Buffalo, Michigan (only a 10 min drive away). Family owned and operated, Sandy Acres was clean and well maintained and had a squad of beautiful and friendly Clydesdale (studs and mares), adorable mini donkeys and ponies, goats, chickens, and two of the friendliest barn cats we've ever met. We did the VIP tour of the farm which included a private meet and greet of the beautiful Clydesdales, a chance to brush a Clydesdale (amazing), and a tour of the property to meet and feed all the animals while learning about their stories. If you're in the La Porte, Indiana, New Buffalo, MI area, or even in south Illinois area, I recommend this spot for the family - especially during the harvest season!
Seymor BUTTS: My family and I loved loved loved this place. They were so patient. Everything was beautiful. Thank you so much!!! Good luck in the horse shows!
Jeremy & Jessica Webster: Great experience, Dawn was a terrific host. The young horses (5 weeks and 11 weeks old) were adorable. Kudos to the friendly tour guide cat Smokey.
Mary Perry: Very nice!! We had an amazing time!!
Lizzie Brown: Loved this farm SO much! The tour was so much fun, and the animals were soooooo sweet and happy! I will definitely recommend this farm, and i would 20/10 go again!
