To recap our experience, Gavin came to our home to assess the roof, explained what he saw and provided pictures of the damages. Then, he returned to our home to provide a couple of options, provided a presentation of the different products, warranties, and pricing. We never felt pressured to make a major decision on the spot. We did our due diligence and had two other companies provide us with quotes. We chose A & M based on product and warranty for the money. For the service, the crew showed up on-time and had the house done in a day. To beat all, the clean-up was great too. Wes stopped by to check on the job progress. Then, Wes followed up the next day with final inspections, took photos, and payment. I received my warranty via email. Any questions that my husband or I had during this process was handled in a timely and professional manner. The best part, we have no more leaks and had plenty of compliments about the roof. Anna D'Amore: Giving 2 stars because as far as I can tell, the work that was (finally) completed yesterday should hold up.I had waterproofing done in my basement with drain tile, a new sump pump, and new sump pump routing in my back yard. It was a $5600+ job. I put the 10% down June 15, 2022 and nobody called me for 2 weeks to finally get scheduled (I did call several times to try and get scheduled). The first time they were supposed to come out was Tuesday July 12th. There was an emergency (I understand) so they did not come out that day but said "probably Wednesday or Thursday" to which I said, I need to know specifically when because I work full time. They ended up not coming back out until July 22nd, when they did some of the work, but were stopped by the town because they didn't have a permit (which you would think they would check if they need a permit--they're a big company). They could not come out again until August 5th, but then their truck had issues and they didn't have a functioning back-up truck. Then they were supposed to come out August 8th, but on that day they said the truck wouldn't be done until Thursday, so they would come out Friday, August 12th. I had smelly ground-water just standing in my basement for 3 weeks because they needed a permit to fill in the concrete. They came out the 12th but the routing outside was pushing flowing water onto my driveway so I asked for that to be fixed/moved. They ended up needing to move it completely and add an additional drain box, so they had to come out the following Monday (August 15th).I had asked for a discount several times prior to the work being complete because this "one-day" job took two months to finally be finished. They're waiving the credit card fee for me since I asked for that as well, but it's been like pulling teeth and now they're refusing any type of discount because they had to take on "extra expenses" for a permit they should've checked for in the first place. I'm currently waiting on an itemized list of expenses to see what else there is and to pay my invoice (update, they "can't").I will say that the men doing the physical labor were amazing and explained everything to me and were very professional, so I did appreciate them a lot. If I need anything else done, I will shop around more in the future.

Marshall McAuley: Just finished a significant remodel ( $120K+) with Daniel and Nir. We did a 225 sq ft addition and new bathroom, new kitchen, new floors, new roof, and remodeled 2nd bathroom. Basically, a new house - all while we lived there with two elementary age kids. The only thing that made it bearable was how cool, calm, and collected these two were. They got the project done within our original timeframe and budget. They were courteous, responsive, good humored, and completely professional in every interaction I had with them over a six month period. They gave good advice, corrected mistakes or handled changes smoothly and always with a simple mantra "No problem." It was a long and complicated process (LA permits are intense) and they made it so much easier and less stressful than it would have been in less capable hands. We love the look and quality of the work they did and are so happy we went with them. We chose them because of how they "felt" compared with the other contractors we met and it really paid off. It was in an awful shape, the measurements were wrong and the cabinets were sliding onto another. half the kitchen couldn't be in use! can't open half the drawers... which you only discover after 2-3 days where you're thinking "something is off"... So i wanted to build a completely new modern kitchen.i hired a company, and from the start, there was a delay with the initial inspection....i decided to hire another company with the hopes of things actually getting done. I was looped in what's going on, making it easy to see the process starting and finishing according to what I WANT. Fine has built a special island in the middle with a hidden bar under it!

Karen Blufer: Fine Builders did our master bathroom remodel. The final product is beautiful and overall, we liked Daniel, Nir and our project manager, Max. However, the process was very stressful and took 50% more time than originally projected – 9 weeks instead of 6. Due to lack of a scaled drawing with precise measurements, we ended up having to change the project somewhat (for more money). Also, Daniel lost his temper twice with us, once when we found a small leak under the sink on the day the bathroom was completed and he wanted us to focus on the beauty of the bathroom instead of the fact that there was water in our brand new vanity under one of the sinks. Their attitude was that as long as the end-result was beautiful and things could be fixed, the mistakes made along the way were of no consequence and we were labeled as complainers for even bringing them up. Maybe they had a point, but it sure felt horrible during the process.If you choose to work with Fine Builders, I would advise that you insist on a detailed drawing. We were told it was unnecessary and would add to the cost of the remodel. In spite of our insistence that Daniel and Nir come out twice to give us a precise measurement for the vanity, the lack of precision led to our semi-custom vanity being too big for the space, because they mistakenly built the bathtub enclosure too wide….and to avoid demolishing weeks of work, the vanity had to be cut to size with no filler on a side that needed it to keep the sink from being too close to the wall.I think Fine Builders does a very good job and if you are home while they’re there, perhaps it would be a different experience. My husband and I both work full-time, so we relied on texts and phone calls to keep us abreast of what to expect when we got home each day. We looked forward to seeing the progress made and therefore, would have appreciated knowing that a mistake had happened or the subcontractor hadn’t been able to come to work one day or had forgotten to pick up the tile, rather than coming home to discover it on our own. While Daniel and Nir were very responsive to texts, we only saw them occasionally and usually, at our insistence. When they came, I thought they would be detailed in their inspection of the work their sub-contractors had done in our bathroom. Instead, they focused on the big picture of the end product, while we focused on the details, finding quite a few things that needed to be re-done, but missing the biggest one – the size of the bathtub enclosure. As I said, the bathroom turned out beautifully, so the end result was a good one. However, there were many times when I looked at the five star reviews and wondered how our experience was so different. We will not be using Fine Builders for any future projects.

Ben Barnett: It was ok. They have a good selection of Medallion cabinets on display along with different counter tops. We were greeted when we entered but not very enthusiastically. The lady seemed hesitant to help and was more worried about commuting lead time and long delays than getting the process started. I know lead times are long but wanted to get started. We got handed off to another associate who stated again the lead time and it would be a month before they could even start the project. They didn't even take out information to follow up or schedule a future appointment. Just told us to look around and review products to get an idea of what we like. Felt like we were in a big box store, lacking personal service. Business is booming right now with plenty of work but shouldn't dismiss customers that could be the future. Was overall an underwhelming experience. Will be looking for a contractor or a cabinet place that provides a more personal touch.

Installation was excellent and Jim was there every step of the way to answer all our questions and make sure we were happy and satisfied with everything. Marvin Dawson: Very bad experience. We thought cabinets were good decision till one of the drawer tracks broke. We suspect is was broken all along as we had Tupperware in the drawer. We have waited more than two weeks for a part to fix it and haven’t seen it. We have never received an itemized bill and are sure we were over charged. When you spend nearly 30k and get no service you realize what a poor decision you have made. Run the other way from these guys. Seriously run.

They are professional, very reasonable cost, and honest/very nice people to work with on a project. Lori Stough: We just completed a kitchen remodel with American Kitchen and Bath. Chayanne was our designer. The services was amazing from beginning to end. The owner, Jim, even made sure we got plenty of candy and water to keep us fueled each time we were in the store. :-) Chayanne set aside time multiple times to sit down with us and talk through exactly what we wanted, while providing very thoughtful suggestions that would make our kitchen as useful as possible. He responded immediately to questions via email and phone. The initial project design was out of our price range, but he immediately researched and found an alternative that managed to include all our needs AND wants at a price point that was well within our budget. The cabinet installer that was recommended was professional and extremely efficient. The granite shop and installers were excellent as well This was an excellent experience for us, and we will be returning for upcoming projects. We highly recommend American Kitchen & Bath!
