DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel South Bend: what do users think?
Judy Bardy: Sad no cookies available, as marketing promises.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Benjamin Dick: Rooms: Nice and cleanFood & drinks: The bar downstairs has a decent philly.
Jimmy Lee: I normally don't give hotels a 5 star rating without a great wow factor, but Hilton properties earned it in every way.Check in has always been fantastic. Desk clerks are helpful and friendly. Rooms are awesome with a great view. The restaurant on site is great with tv.s. and never really that busy. The best part is location..... My favorite Irish pub in America is one block over and within walking distance. Fiddlers Hearth.
Jamie Caporosso: The ol girl is due for a face lift. Just a little run down now and showing her miles for sure.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Charles Slappey: Noteworthy details: Kelly says cookie was goodRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view …More
Philip Taffe: Our room was nice. The steak from bakers bar & grill was good. The pool was good, but I was disappointed that the hot tub was closed
CH Wms: I had an event on Saturday in Salon B, with about 65 people; from planning with Amber W, sales manager to execution with Ericka and Tahje banquet servers/hosts everything was perfect. Ericka and Tahje did an exceptional job, they were right there to make sure all of my needs were taken care of in a very professional and seamless manner. They get a 10 out 10!!! Thank you
Terry Pollock: An absolute joke for the money spent. And they say it's a toom that could go for 899.00 a night. Truly, anyone staying one night knows that's a complete joke. Found ice cream containers and to go bags underneath the bed from the prior customer, so did the sheets get changed then? We planned to eat there, and sat at the restaurant for 20 minutes before even being acknowledged. I'm patient just please acknowledge me.Oh well, lessoned learned, and so are all those that ask a good place to stayDisappointed ~~
James Payne: We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The parking garage was easily accessible, the room was nice, and the location was really good. I’d give this 5 stars if the front desk would have handled the 3pm check in queue better than they did.
Tom Risk: Very clean! Warm cookies!!
Emily W: This hotel is hyped up to be more than it actually is. The hotel staff is nice, and the lobby is welcoming. However, when you get to your room it’s disappointing. The rooms are small and dull. Water stains on the ceilings. The water pipes scream when you take a shower. Our air conditioning/furnace was on the fritz, so it was never a decent temperature in our room. AND in the pool room, the hot tub is out of service (indefinitely). When booking the hotel over the phone the gentleman assured us they had a hot tub, I guess it was wrong of us to assume it was working. The location is pretty much the best thing about this hotel.
MJ Mitchell: Great stay.Clean and refreshing. Great view from the corner room. Was a little difficult to find hotel but overall good stayRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view …More
Michael Keller: Amazing place. Best location. Awesome food. Really cool hotel. Very clean. Great food. Great staff. One of the best DoubleTrees I’ve stayed at. We’ll be back.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jim Lee: Hard to give a Hilton property a 5 star, but as a diamond member they deserve it. I had to park an oversized vehicle and they went beyond what they needed to to help me find a spot. The rooms are 5 star and the location is close to bars, restaurants, and venues. The building is architecturaly is amazing. Defiantly my must stay when I'm south bend. Thanks to the entire staff as well as restaurant and bar staff.

Courtyard by Marriott South Bend Downtown: what do users think?
Brian Czerwinski: Our room was on the second floor right above the dumpsters that were promptly emptied at 6am. Very very loud. Then there was some sort of sawing going on outside from 6:30 for an hour till it started raining. Thank God.Went down for breakfast and got 2 11 dollar breakfast burritos and an 11 dollar avocado toast. The burritos although stupid expensive were ok. The avocado toast was 1 piece of bread wil a small piece of avocado that was not spread on the bread with a hard boiled egg and some mystery greens. Total rip off.The room was clean though. Just super loud.
Cynthia: I originally booked a reservation for residence inn south Mishawaka. I checked in and realized this was a homeless shelter. I called Marriott in south bend and spoke with Eric to make a reservation since I had nowhere to stay since I have my pet with me. This hotel doesn’t allow pets and he was so rude and hung up on me. I will be calling corporate
April Thorne: Met all our expectations.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury …More
Lutfiye Beldek: An incredibly bad hotel, lower-budget hotels are actually more comfortable believe it or not, but this hotel is not worth the money.Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
ldwalton75: Jason at the front desk was super friendly checking us in and out. Location was meer steps from our concert venue. And, we gathered in the lobby afterwards.Quiet! Slept like a baby.Rooms were nice, clean, spacious.Rooms: Two queen beds, clean, coffee, nice size bathrooms, comfortable beds and pillows. I slept great!!!
Latrice Bird: The rooms R Boss but the pool is small Small!!Rooms: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Nick Gore: My favorite place to stay in SB! Owen, Korey and Tyler go above and beyond every time and won’t stay anywhere else in the area.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Glenn Erickson: Nice hotel. No hot tub, which is a bummer.Close to good restaurants. The shower had mildew. And there really isn't free parking that google states ( go to website), anything free is short-term, so you stuck with Is Valet parking.
Andrea: My stay was great! The staff met all my needs for my pj nye sleepover with the kiddos! The lady that works at the front desk Lesley was amazing! Room was clean and I had everything I needed and our view of downtown was a plus!!!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Sally Smith: Stay was ok! Very disturbed by what I saw. Lovely lady checking us in. In town with Corporate event. The lady was trying to deter the noise but it was unavoidable. The Valet attendant fell asleep in the lobby and the snoring noise was unbelievable. This guy couldn’t keep his head up but was parking our cars. I’m sure there is more to the story. Front desk was not at liberty to say. Pretty sure he was under the influence of something. Beware of Sophi Valet. Potential Liability here with your vehicles.
Marie KFT: Fantastic staff, clean rooms and lobby.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Devon Harris: Was here for God daughterRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Kid-friendly …More
C. Morgan: While visiting South Bend I booked and stayed here for a weekend (Saturday/Sunday) having arrived fairly early in the morning on Saturday I found parking to be difficult to say the least. The Hotel has a small Valet lot (which was full), there are local business lots close (signage indicated for customers only, all others towed which is understandable) and street parking (some of which is on a time limit basis) we finally found a street parking space and hiked it back to the Courtyard. Upon entering the Hotel the common area was mostly tile and was fairly clean. Got the room keys. The room looked good, was clean, thoroughly checked for bed bugs and seen no signs of them. Settled in for a quick nap. Pillows smelled musty. Not sure why and that's a first for me, but they were kinda musty smelling. Was a quiet location for the most part. Guests could be noisy at times but that's the way most Hotels are in my experience. Got up and took a shower. Nice looking shower with a half glass wall and no closing door. The problem was the water easily splashed out onto the tile floor which quickly became a slip hazard (explains the drain in the floor right by the entrance to shower) put a towel down all good. This Courtyard is very close to many local restaurants/nigh life businesses and the Century Center directly across the street was nice.. location is great! Sunday morning found us trying to get a breakfast from their services in the common area. What a freaking disaster. Do not go there. Walk to a local business. It will be better and faster. The order was placed and we waited and waited and waited. 30 minutes later we were told our plain bagel was not available. Finally got breakfast sandwiches. Eggs cold. Cheese not melted. Bacon seemed to have been frozen and reheated. Not good. All in all this was an okay experience I suppose. Location great. Rooms pretty nice. Parking...ehh... I would probably stay again due to the positives. Just be aware of the terrible food services here.Walkability: Within walking distance of many local restaurants/night life/business and the Century Center.Food & drinks: Hotels food services are not good. Subpar to say the least.
USA Ambassador Pageant: Great new hotel in a perfect central location to be able to walk everywhere! Great staff as well including Leslie who went above and beyond for me, when I walked in at 10:30pn realizing I was at the wrong Courtyard. In 10 min she had us in a king room, and even was gracious enough to call to cancel my reservation at the other courtyard!
Roberto Ghizzoni: This is terrible. Service is in existent. Valet works front desk as well. The bistro is only manned when the person remembers to come in and at 7AM nobody was in site for one day while the other day, there being only one person it was too slow and I ended up leaving without breakfast. Mobile key does not work and they maintain that at this property “they don’t use it”, but is this not a Courtyard by Marriott like all others? Finding someone at front desk is a miracle and of course they only clean your room every other if you ask and even then, maybe yes, maybe no…. Terrible experience , bad news for the brand.
Bill O brien: Horrible customer service from mangers to housekeepers will never come back
ZaC Wright: Nice hotel, convenient location, friendly staff
