East Bank Learning Center: what do users think?
Bree Hansen: My kids LOVE it here and every single teacher loves those kids like their own. So happy we came to East Bank. My kids don’t cry when they get dropped off. Sometimes they don’t even want to leave! Lol. My point is that they deserve an A+. Especially now during this pandemic. They’re sanitizing everyone’s lockers now and since we’ve had them home for a week, one of my son’s teachers (Miss Beth) actually volunteered to take his nap bedding and snow pants home to be washed so that I didn’t have to drag the kids out of the house to come pick it up. Long story short - I highly recommend.Edit: it’s been a year and we’ve moved- but we miss you guys!
kdowlut: You will not find a better early learning/childcare program than at East Bank Learning Center! My sons (7 and 4) have attended EBLC since my eldest was 1.5 years old and has become family to us! All of the teachers are extremely dedicated, loving and nurturing — they know all of the children at the center, not just the children in their class. I also cannot give enough praise and gratitude to the Owner/Director Mrs. Mellody!!! Not only is she extremely professional and compassionate, she has a heart of gold and loves the children as her own. My sons and I are blessed to consider Mellody, Miss Beth, Miss Justice, Miss Joceline, Miss Lisa and every other teacher family!! ❤️
Rashea Hill: East Bank has been apart of our family for the last 10 years!! We love East Bank. Thank you for your love and dedication over the years.
Sarah Ried: Trying to figure out where to send our two year old daughter to school was hard - especially since she had been home with us fulltime since birth. The moment I walked into East Bank, I knew this was the place for us! The staff and kids were full of smiles and waved hello - they all looked so happy to be there. It was exceptionally clean. The classrooms offer lots of sensory play, and the outdoor space is nice and open with lots of activities. The teachers are phenomenal - always coming up with fun activities and crafts, and accept the kids who miss their parents with open arms and cuddles. Our daughter gets so excited to go to school every day, so much that she talks about it and her teachers on the weekends. Becoming part of the East Bank family was the best decision we ever made.
Millie W: My child went here for a year and always had the best care. They have the highest accreditation, paths to quality level, and staff. Definitely one of the best in the area.
Mubarakah Adebisi: EBLC has been great for me and my family. We have our 2 boys enrolled at the center and they helped us in the process of potty training our son. I'm very grateful to Mellody as she would take our 3 yo to the potty every 30 minutes. She put in alot of effort to help him and we could see improvement in his potty training. I would definitely recommend them. Great atmosphere, positive energy and the boys love it there.
Megan Bilderback: Our daughter has been at East Bank since she turned one (she is now 3). She loves going to school everyday and we have been very happy with the level of service. We feel our standards are very high for what we want for our daughter and East Bank is meeting those standards. We understand that no daycare/preschool will be perfect but the director, Ms Melody has always been quick to help us resolve any concerns we have brought to her attention. Our daughter has learned so much and is offered opportunities like gymnastics, special events, and fun activities. We also have felt that East Bank has done a great job handling the pandemic with extra cleaning, an improved check in process with temp checks, notifying us of any potential exposure and we have felt very comfortable with sending our child there.Overall you will find an educational, warm and caring environment at East Bank.
Heather: We found out they were putting false information in the app where they report how the kids eat and sleep, etc. My daughter is lower weight so I had gone out of my way to speak with the director and her teacher about keeping a possible eye out. For two weeks my daughter apparently refused the lunch but they marked her as "eaten most" of her food because "most kids ate most of their meal". Her teacher then told me I should just be happy she was giving my daughter "love". I would have asked the teachers directly about how she was eating but I was continuously told to check the app instead for information about my kid. The response from her teacher and the admin have been so incredibly disappointing. When my husband and I took our concerns to the admin she told us we were welcome to withdraw our kid from the school. No accountability or effort to work with parents. Honestly, there's very little supervision and oversight, and issues are swept under the rug. I'm so heartbroken because I trusted these people and in the end, was told "you had a bad experience". I genuinely worry about what else is going on there behind closed doors. Also attached is a photo of the truly disgusting "homemade" lunch they serve. I'm not surprised my daughter refused eat it!
Spencer Raber: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueI have worked at EBLC for almost 3 years now and it has been the best work environment. My coworkers are some of my best friends, the families are the sweetest, and leadership cares not only about how you’re doing in the workplace but how you’re doing in your daily life. I’m thankful to be a part of East Bank.
Gina Dee: Positive:Communication,Quality,ValueAbsolutely love Eastbank learning center. My daughter is currently in the kindergarten class and she loves it.
Madison Schaffer: The best place to work, learn, and grow! I have loved being a part of the East Bank family!
Erinn Fuller: We have been a part of the EBLC family for 6 years now through 3 different children. The care, love, and commitment that the staff and teachers show each and every day to make our family feel safe and secure while striving toward a strong development and education base is second to none. There is no better early childhood education center around. They have kept their Highscope early education certification since the center opened. I am truly blessed to have found this center and recommend it to everyone who asks.
Christina Elfar: East Bank is so much more than I could’ve ever hoped for. My husband and I visited dozens of places trying to find the place that felt the best. With each place we visited our list of cons was always longer until we visited East Bank. The AMAZING staff treats you like family and your child as if they were their own. They take your concerns into account and learn each child and parent individually. The teachers and staff work extremely hard to teach each child all that they can. I am completely blown away each time my child comes home having learned something I thought would be out of her realm of understanding. These wonderful people take such good care of our daughter that by the end of the day she is sad to leave her friends and teachers because she had so much fun. This place is everything a parent could want and more!
Leslie Brenner: I cannot sing enough praises for EB Learning Center! My daughter has been there for two years so far and she loves her teachers. She transitioned from her former daycare so quickly and smoothly, which put me at ease with the change we made. As a parent, I love to know that the classes use Highscope curriculum to provide a structured day and that my child is being well-prepared to transition to pre-k. The staff and director are so incredibly hardworking, supportive, and nurturing. We’re proud to be part of this community.
Heather Holleman: This is the most amazing early learning center! We have sent both of our boys here starting at 12 months, and our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The director is a hands-on, dedicated advocate for the kids. There is very little turnover in staff, and we have loved every teacher the boys have had. I highly recommend this place for child care.
Hannah Stowe: I absolutely love this place. If I wasn't changing jobs to be a stay-at-home mom, I would leave my son here for as long as I could. All of the staff know his name, whether they are his classroom teacher or not. The children get to do a variety of activities, from singing, dancing, painting, coloring, play dough, water activities, and lots more -- with lots of outside time, too. My son will sing children's songs at home that I know he couldn't have learned anywhere else! He had persistent diaper rash at the last place I sent him to, and after we changed to East Bank I quickly realized this was directly related to the care he was receiving, not to sensitive skin or the other excuses I was given. After a week at East Bank, his rash was totally healed, and I know it's because they change him when and as often as they say they are going to. I have total confidence that not only his basic needs are being provided at East Bank, but that he is also learning and being challenged and feels loved and cared for while there. What a beautiful place!

McKinley Elementary School: what do users think?
Zay Monroe: My son was in kindergarden there and it was the worst experience in his life. His teacher looked and acted a drunk and he was being bullied. When I had a meeting with the principal they tried to turn it around on my son and this was a known bully that had been in trouble for a month straight. I hate this school and my son will not be returning!
Carl Hetler: Hard working staff led by an energetic and caring principal.Diverse student body with inclusion and life skills classrooms. Many opportunities to learn through indoor pool, gardening boxes, and field trips.

South Bend KinderCare: what do users think?
Jessica Mattke: My daughter has been attending KinderCare for about a month and we’re really happy with the center! She’s in the infant room and is doing really well. Her teacher worked with her on taking a bottle and now she takes it like a champ! Miss Jalisa is a wonderful teacher and even lets me come in daily to nurse during my lunch. Our daughter also is sleeping better at home. They have a great app and will occasionally upload pictures of her playing which we love to see. We would recommend this daycare to others!
Kelsie Purvis: Ms. Halee is hands down one of the best infant teachers rainbow has to offer. She's so kind, caring and shows so much patience when working with the kids. Being the infant one teacher for the past two years is also a big plus. In daycares there is always such a high turn around it's nice to see someone who has years with a daycare instead of just months. Having had kids of her own she does not lack experience with newborns and infants. Rainbow is blessed to have her as a teacher!
Angela Bumbaca: My kids have been in Rainbow on and off for years. My daughter started when she was 6 weeks old in the infant room. I loved the staff when she started and unfortunately had to pull her out because she was constantly getting sick and missing days, but we had to pay to keep her spot. I ended up pulling her out because this arrangement just was not practical. After about a year, I went to re-enroll her, in the toddler room. Her teachers were great, and became like family. I still talk to one of them today. She was really struggling in the toddler room, throwing tantrums every time we would drop her off, and I truly felt it was out of boredom. By this time, one of her toddler teachers was filling in at the front to cover the director positions because of the turnover in those positions and the lack of adequate staffing. She along with the new director, once hired made it possible for her to move up to the YPS classroom where she thrived. Unfortunately, the turn-over and staffing issues continued. The environment continuously deteriorated. I went from being greeted by first name as I walked through the front door, to at some points not even being acknowledged. I had several concerns, including the lack of hot (even warm) water in the classrooms (because how in the world can you get rid of germs with soap and cold water) among other things which were brought to the attention of management, but I do not feel were adequately addressed. Several weeks ago now, I received a call from the newest of the directors that she had received a complaint that my son (an infant) was an alleged victim of inappropriate behavior with one of his teachers. I was not being given much information, other than someone said he was inappropriately handled by his teacher and that CPS and the licensing board had been contacted and there was an ongoing investigation. I was never once contacted by DCS, nor did management have any further communication with me about what was going on except when I asked to see the video of the alleged inappropriate behavior to which I was told that the video is for administration and cannot be viewed. I heard rumors of cigarette butts and other "paraphernalia" found on the play ground. I saw, and reported, one of the teachers grabbing a child (in the infant room) by his upper arm and carrying him down the hall (that teacher still has her job to my knowledge). I will say, that not ALL of the teachers here should be "punished" for the bad reputation that management is giving this facility. My daughter's teachers in YPS were AMAZING with her and she loved going to school every day. My older son's teachers were AMAZING and helped us work through some things with him. I truly believe, that upper management is the start of the problem. Leadership comes from the top, and from what I have seen and the encounters that I have had with the DM, there is a TRUE lack of active leadership. I called and left messages for KinderCare Supervisors with no response. I called, left messages, and even had an in person meeting regarding concerns that I have had, and my concerns were completely dismissed by the DM. My request to see the video surveillance from the "incident" with my son that was sent to the DM, was responded to by the director. I still do not even know when the incident happened exactly, but I have heard from several sources that it happened days before I was actually notified. This is not okay. If my child is a victim or potentially a victim of any maltreatment or the like, I should be the first person notified, not DCS and not the licensing board! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! I pulled both of my children out as soon as I could get there to pick them up. it is unfortunate because this is a really nice facility - much newer and nicer than many of the other facilities in the area - and for the amount of money we paid each week for 2 kids and on occasion 3, I expected much, much more.
Sarah Hogue: We loved rainbow for our infant. Lots of love and care and I always trusted my baby with them.
Ryan Hogue: We were very happy with the care provided to our daughter from 3-8 months. I wish we didn't have to move because she seemed to really like some of the caregivers here.
Lindsay Dvorak: My child attended Rainbow for 3 weeks-in this short time, I noticed there was no structure in the classroom and the children spent a lot of time in the gym, running freely, while the "teachers" talked amongst themselves-overall a non-conducive environment for a toddler.

Nuner Elementary School And Fine Arts Academy: what do users think?
Arianna Bueno: This school is bad for kids I used to go there years ago and I hated it so much first off the the kids that go there be cussing and the teachers bully the little kids please I'm begging you don't send your kids here
Candice Wrobel: Teachers are allowed to bully & pick on children. This is terrible! These children are supposed to be nurtured & protected while at school. Not be damaged & taught that bullying is acceptable when done by an adult. This has been a recurring problem & is nothing new. I am not the only person to witness this at Nuner. Also, if you want to be told that your child is on the bus, then have no one answer the phone at Nuner or transportation when you've been at your child's bus stop for 1 hour after dismissal & your child has not been dropped off because she was STILL AT SCHOOL & NO ONE THOUGHT IT IMPORTANT THEY CONTACT THE CONCERNED PARENT, then this is the school for you. Good luck!
motorcycle VROOM VROOM: Hello.i was one of your students in 2019-2020 and I just wanna say that my bus was always late, someone forced me to say the n word to play with barbies at recess.im white.my friend tells me that someone in the school is rasict,my mom had to call mayor Pete because 2 busses were 2-3hours late.i never wanna come back there.
David Tom: I hate my life sooo much now so I wish I could go back and in crying while I'm writing this because I miss it so much. I love this school so much.
Lee Lippert: My granddader was there
Dolores Rininger: I went here many years ago kindergarten was great and first grade was ok too i have some good memories from this school
Connie Sarvari: Nuner is an awesome school!!! The new principal is great!!! The teachers are all awesome and their top priority are the children!! Great job!!! One of the best schools in the SBCSC!!!!
dawn belledin: Great schools as my kids really enjoy art and theater at nuner primary school and help for using interpreter for deaf parent.
Jacqueline Nicholson: They are great every day my daugther is happy to go to school she makes a lot of friends
Stephanie Jackson: I have had nothing but great experience with Nuner. My daughter has been going here since kindergarten. Only problems I have had is with transportation. My 2 children who attend are both biracial and there has never been any issues.
Sheila Honer: When my daughter went there, she's multiracial & the "n" word is used there all the time by students add well as staff members..... I had my day there, got my child out of there!
Vicky Turner: My Mother and I both went to this school Even had a couple of the same Teachers.Phyllis Jean Anderson and Vicky Lynn Western
TherealNIYAH 189: The princeble is but and his breath stinks other than that and miss ethol i love the place except when ugly peaps talk to me but u get the idea
