Paul Bier: Steve Engel is, but far, the worst machine shop owner in South Bend. He has personality disorder of some kind and treats his employees like trash, he is a short tempered, jackass. His equipment is 40 years behind in technology as compared to his competitors in the area. The man operates outdated Okuma Cadet machines from the 1980s he probably found in a gutter for a couple grand. Equipment is poorly maintained, dirty, shop is disorganized and all around a bad vibe. If I were to say to machinists looking for work, I'd advise you stay far away! For customers, I'd beware of asking this guy for precision aerospace parts because of the capability issue. I'm sure you don't want your parts being ran on a lathe that literally hasn't had a day of preventive maintenance in 30 years.Avoid!!!!!

Tina Weaver: No business personality. I called this company and a the man who answered spoke in an abrupt manner. I asked to purchase something from him and he answered in a short NO! and hung up on me. I wasn't selling him anything. If he didn't have what I wanted all he had to say was, We don't have that and wish me luck finding it.
