Holly Ripley: They put some random man's headstone on my mother in law's foundation. She was at an entirely different cemetery than where random man was supposed to be. It concerns me that they don't know how to read a map, of either the proper cemetery location or of who is buried where. How many others have been misplaced?2 families have been disrespected today because of the incompetence of others.

frank maure: I went to Larry at Carl Kay to see what he could do for me in engraving a large stone as a memorial to a lost friend that we were installing on a golf course. Larry and his staff were extremely professional and caring, which made me feel comfortable because it was an emotional issue, and put my mind at ease with how they could help me. He was more then willing to go find the stone the size that i was looking for....and he did....and took the message i wanted on it and put it on the stone for my approval. Once i saw the cad drawing on the stone he said he could have it ready in 2 days, which was a day before our golf outing to which we wanted to reveal it. He delivered and set the stone up on the 7th tee at Erskine golf course...in case you would like to see it... and did not leave until i was completely satisfied it was the way i wanted it. Needless to say everyone was very impressed ...and emotional...once they saw the stone. It was very reasonably priced and the effort and willingness to make sure it was done right is a testament to the professionalism of this company. I would recommend Carl Kay Memorials to anyone who wants to have something done for a loved one because he took the time to do it right and he treated me like family and that's hard to find in this day of age.. Readings from the Bible tends to lose people who are not active Christ followers and do not regularly read from the Bible.I would suggest more intricate details on each individual in which you are celebrating.As a Christ follower I,feel as if the goal of the pastors is to preach a sermon not to show tribute to the famil member.Showing the light of the Lord in the daily acts of a wonderful person would have been a great way to honor peoples loved ones.

Gregory Bailey: Dad passed recently. Unfortunately his wife chose not to communicate ANY info on my father’s health beforehand, nor his death. Found out he passed only when a chaplain called me from hospital. Thankfully, I was able to go see my dad at Hickey privately. Tracey the director made sure that happened! ❤️ When I called Hickey later to find out what time the grave site service was going to be the next day, the woman I spoke with said, “you’ll have to call “his wife””. I mentioned that’s not possible due to her behavior. She only said “we don’t get involved in family matters”. I told her I was his son from Chicago and I just want the time they are burying my father. Simple question. By choosing not to give me the simple information, she was proving to already be involved in personal family matters.You failed at doing your job, console the family and help them get through their loss. Your consideration for my mourning the death of my father wasn’t present and you lacked professionalism and any sort of care and concern for me, which both shocked and disappointed me tremendously! The rest of my family couldn’t believe it either!I reached out to the cemetery and they gave me the time of my father’s service, WITHOUT getting in the middle of any family matters.I’m sure this is an isolated incident, but it’s one we won’t forget.

According to Southlawn, the two have to agree. That will never happen so, because of Southlawn, my granddaughter will never have a headstone. That's just terrible!
