Lisa Warren: From the very first phone call that I had, all the way up to the day of my moving from one apartment building to the next building right next door, everything was top notch and awesome with this company. Joshua was absolutely wonderful as he navigated my entire move along with his two outstanding assistants. To say that this was the best moving experience I’ve ever had is a huge understatement. In all my life, I’ve never seen three guys move an entire apartment full of furniture from one location to the next in just 2 1/2 hours and from a ground floor to a second floor apt. I am thoroughly impressed with the service that I received on April 1, 2023 and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a moving company. if ever, I am in need of a moving company again, I will definitely call “Around the Bend” first. John Paul Lichon: Very disappointed that I feel the need to leave this review. I gave Joshua multiple chances to assist us with a move that we had scheduled for over one month. I asked about documentation regarding insurance coverage and was sent an expired document. I asked for an updated one and was never provided the document, nor was I informed that they were not going to provide the document. Additionally, I had asked if there were any contracts or deposits to schedule the move, and he said that he doesn't do contracts, but that I could count on him to show up on the day he was scheduled. Despite all of this, I was still willing to speak with Joshua about helping us with the move, but eventually he stopped responding to all of my emails and text messages.Needless to say, I was left with no choice but to use another company. I was disappointed because I gave him multiple chances to communicate with me, and I felt the whole matter was handled very unprofessionally. I wish Joshua all the best, and I do hope his services improve, but I will not be recommending his company in the future.

Mike Barter: Update 6/13: I’m so glad I took the time to call and “make sure this is taken care of”. Really I was just told that my complaints were not that big of a deal. According to Joshua a truly bad experience would be worse than what I described blow.I am very disappointed with our local move with around the bend movers. We had everything packed up and just needed our stuff transported. They were slow to load their truck and they were unable to get everything to fit in their truck, so they had to make a costly second trip. When moving several states away less than a year ago with the same stuff everything fit in a smaller truck so it wasn’t the amount of stuff that was an issue. They took a very long time to travel between move locations, and they also did not communicate well about when to expect them at each location. I was told that a lunch break would be taken off our final bill, but it never was. Several pieces of furniture and my treadmill were damaged due to poor loading into the truck and very few items were wrapped in blankets despite them telling us that everything would be wrapped in blankets during booking. They left trash in the house we had moved out of that I didn’t discover until days later. By the end of a longer than expected moving day I was so frustrated and exhausted I just wanted the movers out of my space. It was clear that they were getting paid by the hour and they tried to make the most of it. I regret using around the bend movers and wish I just had rented a truck and done the move myself.
Changyeon Lee: Joshua and his team showed up on time and did a great job helping us move out of state and also haulaway junks after few days. There was a TV stand damaged in the process of moving but he made sure that is taken care of and was very up front about it. They gladly helped us with extra tasks after the move. I would highly recommend them if you need to move or haul away junks.

Jack Meischen: We used U-pack to move about 1,100 miles and would recommend them to anybody. If you are thinking about hiring U-pack (which is run by ABF Freight), then make sure you understand how the service works.Scheduling is done over the phone. They will estimate the amount of space needed in a moving trailer based on how big your current home or apartment is. The price will later be adjusted up or down if you use more or less space, at a fixed rate per foot of the trailer. This is an excellent feature. You can pay a bit extra for faster delivery and a guaranteed delivery date - this is one of the bigger advantages of working with U-pack.U-pack will bring a moving trailer to your home on the scheduled day, leave it there, and then pick it up after you've loaded it. The same is true of delivery. You will be able to track your moving trailer (like a package) once it leaves the local terminal.Communication is key with this company, and in our experience, they are very good at it. Making the reservation over the phone was a breeze. The dispatchers on both ends of the move (the ones you tell to pick up the trailer after loading/unloading) were friendly, direct, and helpful. Both drivers (the ones who drop off the trailer on each end) were great.You can save a lot of money with U-pack but there are two costs to keep an eye on. One is moving blankets. The other is hiring professional crews to load and unload for you, which you should do unless you are moving a relatively small number of belongings.For us, the hard part was finding a crew to load who could safely and efficiently use the full vertical space in the trailer.If you're thinking about using U-pack for a large interstate move, here are the pros and cons.PROs: competitive pricing that adjusts based on your actual load, great communication, guaranteed delivery date (with small fee).CONs: You need to work with three companies instead of one, your loading crew must be top-notch, renting/buying moving blankets may be a minor headache.

We were careful and found that U-PACK was the best priced and we found all the videos needed to do it the right and most secure manner.The Elkhart team in Indiana and receiving team in Florida were so polite and helpful and at the top of the U-Pack service mantra.We still worried about our two cubes in the travel but on delivery and inspection all was secure with absolutely NO DAMAGE!!For price, safety, service and comfort most would be wise putting U-Pack on the top of their short list for any move, anywhere best choices.By the way even the drop off and delivery truck guys were just as good as the rest. We needed less "luck" or insurance with U-Pack's service team.Thank you U-Pack Team

Southern end,Slidell LA had some delays,as crew couldn't find location and were late by 1.5 hr.this was a split load,house gear and warehouse storage. House gear no problem,Storage a problem as crew could not find Cube Smart Location,and more delays. This resulted in a nitetime unload in the rain,and then more next day. This resulted in some disorganized placing of warehouse totes & goods that will make locating and unpacking difficult.Still under the conditions,I would say the crew worked hard and were courteous.Pricing was fair,and I would still recommend U Pack to anyone moving.Perhaps It would help to get exact locations of destinations.

Julie Feldt: Working with the folks on Sample St was a good experience. Just a word of caution regarding using pods, make sure either you pack it well or that you have really great movers to help you. We now wonder if we should have used the movers that UPack has a contract with or at least bought a bunch of furniture pads. Our movers pack things in a way that caused a lot of damage. The UPack folks were good to work with both in South Bend, IN and New York state. In fact, we were able to empty the pods shortly after delivery and they picked them up later that day! :) Usually you would not get it picked up until next day, but they were in the area.

Saved me driving a rental truck 2 days and a night along the way.Highly recommend moving by cube! ABF freight lines were great people to work with also.
Amanda Helminski: I spent a long time researching moving options for my move from northwest Indiana to Phoenix, AZ. We knew driving a moving truck was out of our budget but I was nervous to do pods/cubes. Reviews of them weren't great everywhere I looked. I was more than pleased with our experience with UPack and the local transport used on either end of the move.First, the customer service rep I dealt with understood my unique moving needs and recommended the exact, perfect number of cubes needed. We literally filled 3 cubes to the brim, with no room to spare but managed to fit everything! He even looked up satellite images of our home to ensure that the cubes would fit in our very short driveway. The cubes were dropped off and picked up super timely I was able to track their location online. It was super simple. I would definitely use Upack again and will gladly recommend them to family and friends!!

Dr. Jasel Martin: Be weary of this moving company. This company made my entire move much more complicated than it needed to be. If there was a "zero stars" option I would give it. First off, the company set up the paperwork with me via phone. I received no follow up calls and a ton of various emails that were not informative. When I didn't hear anything back from the company letting me know the logistics of the move, I decided to go with another company. Then Upack sends a trailer to my house A WEEK before I was supposed to move (their error on the date). Luckily my mom was home and tells me that there is a trailer being delivered to my house. I talked to the driver and the driver told me that he would come back on Wednesday (very nice guy). Later that day, I receive an email from the company stating that I would be charged a $150 cancellation fee and notice that there is a $150 unauthorized charge on my bank account. I am likely not going to get my money back, but let it be known, I will NEVER use this company again. Besides, there are companies out there that offer better services for the same (or lower) price.

Three guys came in, they packed everything and loaded on the truck and then unloaded everything at the facility. They were the most personable, pleasant and hard workers. Heather Hiatt: This is the the absolute worst moving company! I have no idea how they have any positive reviews unless they paid people for them. They are rude, lazy, and non helpful They wouldn’t take items downstairs they just responded that it wouldn’t fit. They left items in the middle of my garage when I asked them to move them next to the wall. They asked us to help them move items. When I called to complain the owner or manager simply said he could send someone back to move things to the basement but would charge me for labor. Unreal, as I had already paid them to do a job they didn’t do correct! Stay away from this place.

Steven Miller: Hired this company to move a few items from Elkhart to South Bend. My sister met them at the pick up and drop off locations. The quote was $382.50 but the bill was $510. I tried several times to get a hold of this gentlemen via email and text message to find out why there was such a large difference. I left several messages requesting an invoice / receipt. I also called multiple times, but he apparently does not want to answer my calls. I was not able to leave a voice message because the VM mailbox was full... which I didn't even know was still possible. It has been several seeks and no response. There are other examples of poor customer service but long story short, this company is not responsive and I feel ripped off. I will not use again and recommend that others avoid this company.

RaSheda Humphrey: I never write reviews, but this one, I had to. I contacted Aaron on a Monday in desperate need of getting movers to pick up a piece of furniture and deliver it to my home. Aaron, the owner, fit me in on a Wednesday afternoon, and I was willing to pay the two-hour flat fee. I advised Aaron the store closed at 6 pm, and the drivers called at 5:57 pm to let me know their last job ran late and could not make it to the store by 6 pm. My delivery window was between 2-3 pm, could you not have informed me earlier!Oh, I forgot to mention I did not pay for my item at the store until confirming with Aaron that he could, in fact, pick up my item. The next morning, he won't even pick up the phone or return my phone call to say whether can or can not help me. Yes, I still had hope! The lack of professionalism and not owning a simple issue could have been resolved by picking up the phone.I did end up texting the owner only to receive a response "The guys went over on the job. That's out of my control. I was in the process of getting something lined up but never mind". He responded at 11:43 pm, and they open at 9 am; I am sure he received my desperation voicemail messages, and I just wanted to figure something out.After reading this, I beg you, if your move is important to your family, go with a reliable company who is professional.

The Llc: First thing is they were late my quote was for three hours two men $330 they charge me for drive time which was never stated in the quote and they charged me for three men so my bill ended up being $500 don’t use them the owner won’t stand by his quote Took them two hours to move my stuff and they charge me a third hour for drive time which was never stated and they charged me for three men for moving quote was for two

He responses to all email instantly. Brad and company showed up on time and went right to work. They were dedicated to getting the work done in a safe and timely manner (very helpful and courteous). Kaitlyn Lasko: We would use these movers again. The 3 men who moved us were very professional and courteous and were very focused on the job at hand. They communicated arrival time and other details very well the day of the move. There were a few scratches to some of our pieces of furniture, so if I could do it over I would protect our nicer pieces ahead of time. We very much appreciated the sense of urgency in moving our furniture and were happy with the amount of time it took to move us.

As soon as the truck was loaded they headed to Indy, and they almost beat me. They arrived about 10 minutes after me and started unload immediately. They moved all the furniture to a 5th floor apartment and set it up very quickly. The total was almost spot on what I was quoted. Very happy. Will recommend to all my friends.
