Quinlan & Fabish Music Company: what do users think?
Kortney Dibert: My daughter’s violin was caught in the crossfire of her two year old sister and we needed a replacement the next day for her lesson. I called at 5:30 (right before they close) and asked for a replacement as soon as possible because she had her lesson the next day. When I arrived the following morning, the violin was ready for pick up and it was a seamless exchange! What a relief! Paying for the insurance is a no brainer but the great customer service is definitely an added bonus. Thank you!
liz J: Awesome music store check them out
Caninx: Ok
Lorenzo Rivera: Friendly staff and helpful they know what they are doing.
Walter Barrera: Great place
Cheryl Roberson: Nice customer service but really high prices
Tonya Roman: Emily was fantastic!
destoni vaughn: Elizabeth answered all of my questions and provided excellent customer service, I will be returning
cathysouthwestern: Today my partner bought a cello for me for my birthday! Elisabeth was the perfect person to help guide us through picking the cello and the perfect bow and case for me. She went the extra mile and made sure we had everything needed to get started, even recommended music. What a great experience!
Candice C: The best music store!
ifrinnsiol: This shop has repair services and sales for orchestral instruments (violins, cello, etc.). The people working there are helpful and friendly. They were knowledgeable about what I was looking for and got me the violin I wanted. I will be coming back here as needs arise.
Wingrider 68: Nice store and nice people!
Jennifer Ward: We need to think about students not money , Elkhart school should feel bad for pushing every student and parent to them , there are other options , I do not agree with their school policies or this company by far
*: I took my violin to Quinlan and Fabish for some strings. They put the strings on to tight, breaking the neck of my violin. Instead of shifting the blame onto me and making me pay for the repairs, they insisted it was their fault and that they would repair the violin at no cost. They were friendly, and above all else trustworthy and honest. It takes a genuinely good company to admit they are wrong and fix their mistakes. They fixed the violin promptly, and in good fashion. I am very, very grateful.
Jamie Amador: After finding some antique instruments in our home, I searched for a place that was able to restore them to working condition. Quinlan and Fabish is such a place. They not only sell and rent instruments of all types, they also maintain and repair them. A nice bonus is they are right in my town. I now have 2 playable violins, a full and a half size. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Todd Taylor: Wants name, address, phone to use a debit card so they can flood your Mailbox with unwanted junk mail. Ordered from Amazon.
Sarah B!: Was not impressed with what I found, although they did have a lot to choose from. Good place to look for classical or modern music.
Tonya Miles: Helpful, pleasant, professional.
Heather Misiukiewicz: Nice helpful place . They sell many different kinds of instruments and subsequent accessories or necessities. They have a lot if sheet music and also offer lessons.
HEIDEN CONCRETE: Music instrument sales and rental business. Super expensive to rent brass instruments for students band class.
Derek Watson: A very clean show room with a helpful staff.

Guitar Center: what do users think?
Ray Bae: Wonderful experience here at Guitar Center South Bend. I brought my guitar in and Nolan and Ryq were both warm in welcoming me and helping out for a good while. Nolan went above and beyond in helping find the right amp, and he's definitely one of the nicest and attentive retail guys I've ever met. I was quite indecisive, but he was there every step of the way in making sure I'd find the right sound. Any manager would be lucky to have him around. Ryq was also attentive and answered every question with great personal input, even bringing a pedal around. They both made Guitar Center feel like a mom and pop shop's service, and that's a golden sign to make a visit! Thank you guys so much :)
Jeff Komp: Have not had a bad experience at this store. Salespeople are friendly, knowledgeable & don’t try to up sell you. Steve the setup tech is a absolute pro. Instructors are excellent.
Jackie Crabtree: I dropped my husband guitar, that guy did beautiful work. When I came to pick it up they were not sure where it was, an no bill. I found it hanging on the wall like it was for sale with a tag on it. When ask about things about the guitar he was not very nice. I Will still come here since this is the only one around. The guy that I gave him the guitar with a note my husband game me. He does excellent work.
Zealla Flores: I'm hoping to get two bass guitars working. Appears to have affordable repair service. Can't wait til the pick up day so I can jam with my dad again.
Gabriel Hernandez Produccions: Great place to buy instruments
L Carey: They are so helpful, and do not pressure you to buy anything. It's a wonderful experience, as you can try out the guitars, and keyboards. It is a highly professional Guitar Center. I am always pleased with the top quality too.
Susan Ward: My husband was able to drop off his guitar to be re-strung and we got it back in a hurry thanks to the knowledgable staff.
Doug Farmwald: Very helpful in choosing my son's new guitar. They took the time to explain the pros and cons of each instrument and thoughtfully answered all our questions. While I am not a musician, all my kids are and I expect we'll be back again.
Annette Durbin: Good people work there ,an I've bought all my guitars there with no problems. I will continue to be there customer.
Michelle Whickcar: Great staff, they repaired my husband's guitar in plenty of time to surprise him on Christmas.
Clayton Hale: It's been a while since I've been there, but used to come here all the time. Could never decide between bass or drums. Always had a great selection.
dean gallam: Nice selection of guitars and accessories

R.a. Wheeler: Always helpful, always got great instruments.. and decent prices.
Kevin OReilly: Love this place, they have what no one else has
Theresa E: Very helpful staff and great inventory
Regina Hodges: This review is specifically with the way the lessons are being managed/handled. My son started lessons the end of July. The person in charge of coordinating lessons knew from the start that my son wanted to focus on thrash metal and the coordinator knew we could only have lessons on one day due to my work schedule. At first, I wanted to do online lessons since I live a good distance away and we were only interested in 30 minute lessons. I was talked into doing in person. Since the end of July my son has had four different instructors and multiple cancellations. I get it, life gets hectic and stuff happens, but rather than waiting for me to call back, lessons kept getting changed WITHOUT my consent to a different day. After explaining to the coordinator early on that I was unhappy with all of this and did not want to be charged for more lessons, he said he would put “a hold” on my card and we could discuss what my concerns. Discussion never happened and my card was charged for more lessons. When I brought this up, his excuse was that the system had changed and it’s possible there was some sort of glitch and unfortunately lessons are non refundable.I received a voicemail on Tuesday from the coordinator stating that that the current instructor he was assigned (has had two lessons with my son) to did not feel that metal was his strength and did not want to continue lessons. Not to mention, that’s what the last instructor said as well. I get that, but the coordinator KNEW from the very beginning that this was what my son wanted. The coordinator told me he would get back to me to see if another instructor would be willing to do online lessons. Mind you, this call was on Tuesday, it has been five days and I have not heard a single thing.I feel like my card is being held hostage and I am being given the run around. When I stated AGAIN that I was unhappy with the inconsistencies of the lessons, the coordinator had the audacity to tell me that they had indeed been consistent. I’m sorry but four DIFFERENT instructors and at least four CANCELLATIONS since the end of July is far from consistent.I have tried to be so patient and understanding but the way the coordinator is handling this is 100% unacceptable. If there is no one able to teach my son I get that, but stop trying to hold my card hostage for more lessons. Stop making instructors that don’t feel like metal is their strength teach my son. It’s simple to say that “there is no one available to teach your son what the type of music he wants to learn on the specific day you want” and leave it at that. My advice to anyone wanting to do lessons is stick to private lessons with a single person or small businesses that are more concerned with a customer’s satisfaction.
Eliezer Roque Cisneros: I've had nothing but a positive experience at the guitar Center here I've been to several guitar centers in my lifetime and the staff here (as of 2022) are helpful kind and patient.I've bought new and used gear, it's been good.

RDE Lutherie: what do users think?
Aaron Blume: First off you need to make an appointment though Bob's website, he works out of his house, so be polite and call first, I just stopped by thinking it was a store front.Took Bob my 1996 strat that needed some fret work and some dings in the neck fixed and I would say what I got back was beyond my expectations. You definitely get what you pay for with RDE and I'll be sure to bring my other guitars in when they need repaired.
Nancy Rehling: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueBob did an awesome job re-working and restoring my old Harmony Sovereign 1260. The guitar looks great and play even better! Thanks for taking on what seemed like a hopeless project and for putting in so much time and energy! I really appreciate it!
Eric Nielsen: I took two guitars to Bob! Not only did he fix them up to sound great, he did it in less than 2 days! Great craftsmanship and quality communication!
Christopher Le Maire: Honest. Professional. Skilled.Bob is a bit of a character (in the best way), and does great work. I just got my guitar back from some work he did for me. It plays liike a dream.Excellent communication, clear policies, and flawless work. (And it came back faster then expected, and below the max estimate he gave before beginning work.)Seriously, don't waste your money on some underpaid, disaffected tech at some big chain. This man is a craftsman.
Logan Sanders: Positive:ProfessionalismProfessional work. Man knows his stuff
DNA Cathedral: RDE is exceptionally skillful and knowledgeable in all areas of bass and guitar repair / modification. I have had two major bass modifications performed by RDE, both with stunning results. The first was an old DeArmond in which I wanted to replace all components and de-fret, the second a 7-string Conklin that I wanted the natural stain removed and turned to a royal blue. Both basses turned out amazing!
inkey2: Actually I have run across quite a few screw on necks where they were quite loose. Especially the cheapo guitars

Kim B: I am trying to make an appointment and the message mailbox is full. Is there another way to reach you? Not sure how soon you'll see this, but if you could delete some messages, I'll keep trying.
Matt Steif: Great violin shop. They had gone above and beyond for the service on the violin!!
Rudy De Keersmaecker: Ed is an artist working in a field of Craftsmen.
Martin Grovdahl: I inherited a rather old violin from my father's estate in a very sad state of disrepair. At 72, and having retired, I decided to learn to play it. I was very apprehensive about the condition. Ed explained what needed to be done and spent a great deal of time carefully restoring the instrument. I have watched him work and he is very meticulous to detail. He clearly understood how much the violin meant to me. I am now playing and am deeply grateful to Ed for his work. Will highly recommend!
Bill Koch: Ed overhauled my cello and now it sounds like a different cello. Proud to play it now. I have recommended Ed to another cello player and overhauled hers too. We now play in Church together and it sounds fantastic! Thanks Ed
Andrea Hanes: Can't say enough positive things about Ed. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable about string instruments, but just an all around neat person to talk with. So passionate about music. Went in for a bow rehair and peg to be fixed, but he went above and beyond in my opinion. Did and adjustment on my sound post and I cannot even begin to explain adequately how that one fix has made my violin sound like an entirely new instrument. Really! I am scared to play sometimes because the sound is so much fuller and louder that I don't want a mistake to be broadcast - LOL. I will be going back for a new bridge as he suggested. Seriously, don't go anywhere else for string work. You will not be disappointed.
Patrick Berney: He restrung my wife's violin and did a great job!
Audrey Martin: Very friendly and knowledgable. Passionate about the violin and his customer.
Jason Smith: I highly recommend his services. Ed is very passionate about his work. He let me watch him set up my daughter’s violin and explained what he was doing and why. I left with some new instrument knowledge and a piece of mind knowing I brought the violin to the right man. He went out of his way to get the violin done in time for my daughter’s b-day.Very professional work and a very classy musician.
johnny gayden: Excellent service Plus he's a cool guy !
Aliea Bakerson: Ed was extremely knowledgeable and helpful with my cello. It was pretty beat up before he fixed it up. He only spent an hour with us, but he managed to fix the bridge, all of the strings, and every small detail on my instrument. All the while he was explaining it and showing me what I should do to make it last longer until I decide to buy a new one. I highly recommend him.
Nadege Vance: SUPPORT your local small business. My daughter's cello kept having issues and school orchestra people would "fix" it. Well school is almost over so it was time to turn in her rented cello back to school. After the last time someone "fixed" her cello it still needed more repair and major parts gotb broken. I signed a " contract saying I would be responsible for any damages to the cello. I asked my cousin if she knew of someone and she gave me the information of the String Dokter', Mr. Ed Everest. I reached out to Mr. Evereat and he was very kind and professional on the phone. Then I met Mr. Everest at his business along with my two kids. It only took 2 days for Mr. Everest and he charged me a very reasonable price. He explained to me the first day I met him how he was going to fix. He let me know about how long it would take him to fix it and it took exactly two days. He was very kind to my kids and made them laugh. If Iwould have returned the cello to the school, they would have gave it to the company that they rent instruments from and because they are a big, greedy corporation they would have charged me an arm and a leg to fix the damages. After the wonderful, very professional, and caring Mr. Everest fixed the cello it looked and sounded better than when the school give it to us at the beginning of the school. Thank you from the bottom of my daughter's and my heart for being so attentive, patient, professional, and kindMr. Everest. The wonderful service Mr. Everest gave has made me want to in the near future rent a cello from him. I want to end this review with following hashtag. #SupportYourSmallBusinesses.
Chuck Furaitar: Ed was very informative about the condition of my instrument and my options before proceeding with any work. No up sale here. He also has some very nice pre owned instruments at what I consider great prices. I would send any of my musician friends here. Buy from Ed so we have a local source for a trained luthier and great pricing without driving 200 miles. My advice for sure is you are looking for an instrument to rent or own see the Doktor first.
Elliot Lee: Great service - buy from Ed
Barbara Rosenberry: Thanks for your awesome advice and help!
Destiny Matupa: Ed really did a great job on my violin, he is also a super sweet guy. He definitely knows what he is doing.
bruce fielis: Ed is a super guy, a true craftsman and very reasonable. I brought in a couple of violins that had been sitting for a few years in a closet. He diagnosed, repaired and educated me on proper care right on the spot. If you need major or minor work done, don't go anywhere else, see the Stringdokter.
