Em Horvath: Found this place searching for a lunch spot as we were stopping from out of town to see a show. My mom and I have been vegetarian for years, and we both loved being able to consider an entire menu rather than picking through for the stuff without meat (although it made it harder for us to choose!). An amazing assortment of meals with so many veggies and lots of non-meat protein. I got the sautéed tofu and veggies and loved it, huge portions and came out quick. A great little hole in the wall place. I feel like my food was a little on the unsalted side, and they only serve brown rice but those are the only things I would keep in mind about coming here, and are certainly not an issue. Definitely check this place if you are vegetarian/vegan, and try it even if you’re not!

Marcie Shields: One star is generous! I spent $48 on my first (and only!) take-out order from Pinellia and, after a few bites, ended up throwing everything--except for the spring rolls and vegetable dumplings--in the trash. Disgusting! The Moo Shu Vegetable was watery, soggy and filled with disintegrating, overcooked cabbage. The sesame noodles had no flavor. We tried adding soy sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, but nothing helped. While waiting for our order, I took a glance around. The place looked like a cyclone had hit it and it was not clean.

Courtney Baker-Beck: We come here when we don't want to go to Angelo's. Just depends on where we have to go on Sundays (because that is when we go to brunch). I wish they would have left the skillets in the skillet pans and not onto a plate like they do now. They do get busy on Sundays around 10 AM so do be prepared.

Julie Morrison: Used to be a place to get good fresh food, ordered carryout today. While I stood there I watched them pull out premade cold food and microwave it, then box it up. The biggest wait I saw people facing was because they could only microwave food so fast. If I was going to eat microwave food I would have just stayed home. As a testament to how much they now microwave everything they have 5 microwaves in the "cook" area. As expected the food tasted tuff and microwaved. What happened to this place?

James Kauzlarich: Barnaby's is very definately a unique and local twist on Pizza. It is really unlike any pizza I've had, locally, regionally, across the U.S., or even world-wide.They serve sandwiches, Pizza, and alcohol. Soft drinks too.Their uniqueness STARTS with the 'Oldè Ènglish Pub' atmosphere they foster, and the Family / large group friendlyness that comes with it. When entering, you walk into the dining area, filled with, not tables and chairs, but wooden booths, which sits between the doors and the ordering counter, behind which the kitchen is fully visible. Drinks, from water to soda to beer, are sold at the bar. A short walk to the other side of the room (not through), just follow the counter. You are free, of course, to order drinks or refills at any time.Barnaby's Pizzas are made on a large grain flour base, similar to corn-meal flour. Not as part of the dough, just, it seems, acting as a non-stick ingredient. But definately adding to the Barnaby's experience.They usually are a thin-but-flexible crust pizza. Not a deep-dish or crispy-thin, as other pizzerias make.The final twist to a Barnaby's Pizza is, rather than slices, that they are cut into square(ish) bites.Though many people might say that it's not a Barnaby's Pizza if it's served without stacks of little paper cups filled with Parmesan Cheese and/or Hot Pepper Flakes.Some people LOVE Barnaby's Pizzas, and though it is not my favorite pizza, it was, I believe, my first meal in South Bend, so still holds a special place in my heart.You won't be sorry if you try Barnaby's Pizza, I guarentee. Amy Leigh: Absolutely the best chicken and waffles I've ever had. Chicken was tasty. Waffles were crispy outside and tender and fluffy inside with a spicy maple syrup but by far the best bite came from the watermelon it came with. Infused with sweet tea and champagne and awesomeness. The waitress was very attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. It's a shame we live 2½ hrs away as we just stopped in for dinner on our way home up to Grand Rapids from Tennessee but we will have to remember to stop in again when we're in the area.The menu selection isn't overwhelming. My son had a burger and my boyfriend had a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. No complaints from either in fact my boyfriend raved about the perfect spice palette on the sandwich.
