Madeline Baia: Michelle was a very friendly waitress. She helped us with recommendations we wanted to know about the menu. The bruschetta was yummy, the homemade salad dressings delicious creamy garlic, creamy Italian divine. Try the broiled chicken as an appetizer for the table you, you will love it.My husband had the veal parmesan, I had the Shrimp scampi and my nephew had the manicotti and all of us loved the our choices.I love Tiramisu and Sunny Italy had it and I enjoyed it. My nephew loved his cannoli with pistachio crumbs on the ends and my husband enjoyed his very large piece of chocolate cake. If you want a Delicious meal come here, with an excellent dessert to complete your meal. Reservation call or go online to book with open table. Best decision I made in restaurants was going here.

Ross Higginbotham: Sunny Italy is one of my favorite South Bend restaurants. It's been operated by the same family for two generations, and their recipes are phenominal! They're located in a beautiful old building right off of the river walk. They have a great full bar and wonderful food. They also have a private room for events if you call ahead of time.Kid-friendliness: My family has been coming here since we were children. Jimmy (the owner's late father) used to make us kiddy cocktails which was just sprite and cherry juice. While much has changed in 20 years, the family friendly environment has not.Parking: Park on either side of the building! Plenty of room for everyone!

Lexi Hurley: I’ve been to this location several times, never disappointed. If you’re reading these reviews and saying wow I don’t wanna go there I definitely don’t think the same. I got a Buffalo chicken grinder and a steak grinder. All I can say is phenomenal. Service was tiny bit off, but I didn’t take this in consideration. Yum!

Darlene Rodriguez: This place used to be decent. Now it sucks. Big time. Ordered 3 grinders. My roast beef was overcooked and burned. And it looked nothing like the ones ive gotten several times. The portion was unbelievable as usually you get decent size of meat. There was a sprinkle of lettuce and weird cuts of tomatoes pieces thrown in the mix. The breas tasted like it was stale bread toasted. And we got a 16”. Called as we got carry out and didnt see this till we got home and noone answered. Very displeased as its not a cheap meal. The steak and buffalo chicken tasted ok but again the bread was hard to bite and chew. Definitely will never return again.
