Doris Corey: We return to Rocco's pizzaria every trip to Notre Dame campus. It's like visiting family! The pizza and lasagna are outstanding! We enjoy a carafe of lambrusco, and , of course, the 'Julia salad'. The place is simple and cozy, the walls covered in memorabilia. The owners, Warren and Linda, are at the door to warmly greet the many returning patrons.Get there early, the place fills up, and the line extends out the door, especially on a football weekend!

James Kauzlarich: Barnaby's is very definately a unique and local twist on Pizza. It is really unlike any pizza I've had, locally, regionally, across the U.S., or even world-wide.They serve sandwiches, Pizza, and alcohol. Soft drinks too.Their uniqueness STARTS with the 'Oldè Ènglish Pub' atmosphere they foster, and the Family / large group friendlyness that comes with it. When entering, you walk into the dining area, filled with, not tables and chairs, but wooden booths, which sits between the doors and the ordering counter, behind which the kitchen is fully visible. Drinks, from water to soda to beer, are sold at the bar. A short walk to the other side of the room (not through), just follow the counter. You are free, of course, to order drinks or refills at any time.Barnaby's Pizzas are made on a large grain flour base, similar to corn-meal flour. Not as part of the dough, just, it seems, acting as a non-stick ingredient. But definately adding to the Barnaby's experience.They usually are a thin-but-flexible crust pizza. Not a deep-dish or crispy-thin, as other pizzerias make.The final twist to a Barnaby's Pizza is, rather than slices, that they are cut into square(ish) bites.Though many people might say that it's not a Barnaby's Pizza if it's served without stacks of little paper cups filled with Parmesan Cheese and/or Hot Pepper Flakes.Some people LOVE Barnaby's Pizzas, and though it is not my favorite pizza, it was, I believe, my first meal in South Bend, so still holds a special place in my heart.You won't be sorry if you try Barnaby's Pizza, I guarentee. Though, like me, you may like an other pizza more.Though it is still a chain, South Bend has certianlly put her mark on it... or was that the other way-round?

Stephen Kish: Little pizza joint in downtown carrying on the Brunos legacy!!!. Same guy tossing pies here as the original store on prairie Avenue. Don't know his name but just like the original store, when you see him you know your pizza is gonna be awesome!!. Only problem like all businesses downtown, PARKING SUCKS. !! I know there's a garage right there but to pay the fee and walk the distance is just absurd. Wish they would get a location close to where the original was, we miss our Brunos!!!@

Customer service is getting worse and now I was told if I want any sauce with my full order of breadsticks I need to pay for sauce. I've always received 2 and purchased extra ones previously. The person that answered phone seemed argumentive, so I paid for all of my sauces. I usually order once a week or every other week from here. This is my last time!! Decided to try this brunos downtown SouthBend In, it was a good pizza but DID NOT remind me of the original. I placed a pick up order and asked them not to cut the pizza so I could reheat being I live 25-30 minutes away they refused said they must slice pizza. Upon arrival I asked why the must slice and was told they had problems with customer's in past to the point of getting cussed out! Hmmm not really my problem I just like my pizza HOT!! Seemed like a lot of drama for me asking not to cut my pizza 🙃
