Sarah Keufh: Manager was rude. Wouldn’t sell me any fish because I didn’t bring my tank water in to be tested. ( it has been cycling for weeks). They say it is their policy since it’s a live animal, they cannot sell them to me. Even though a couple of gentlemen standing in line in front me did not get asked any of the same questions & they proceeded to get their requested fish with no problems.If they’re so concerned about their live animals then why sell Betta fish in a cup on a shelf? they never ask about water conditions for them whenever I’ve purchased them? I understand it’s their policy, but they should enforce with all customers.

Jennifer Arevalo: Okay so I went specifically for my two dogs, a Yorkie and Chihuahas, grooming appointment.However the grooming department is located all the way in the back of the store, on our way there my Chihuahua Toby had to mark his way through the store and even pooped. Their staff was so kind and helpful in picking up their waste.I then saw they have waste stations at their location in case your pet has an accident.Their grooming services ans prices are great. I loved the experience overall.It's just expensive to shop there, but that's alright.

Tanya Kirker: We showed up here unexpected to check it out, and was offered a free personal tour! We learned a lot about the Steelhead Trout and the Salmon they raise. Interesting stuff. The hatcheries are covered with huge nets, to keep the fish in and predators out. (Although a local otter helps himself from time to time) I observed a butterfly fly over one of the nets and the water came alive with 10 or more fish leaping out of the water to try to get a quick snack. It was fascinating, but maybe I just like things like this.

loveross0716: There's a kiosk-like structure with a some info for visitors before you get to the actual fish tanks, and a very small inside display, but this is not a touristy place. It is an actual hatchery, where different tanks hold different size fish. Our young grandkids (age 4, 6 and 7) had a lot of fun. Only took about 1/2 hour and was enjoyable for us adults too. Nothing flashy.

Reed Lyons: Outside of a school group and as a local dad with a kid who wanted to see some "fish", the outing was a total bust. We had to find somebody to ask if there was anything to do, the "visitor center" was non-existent, and there were just a couple large tanks of tiny fish outside. I know I'm not the typical visitor, but it was definitely not for walk in visitor even though it was described as such.

Blue Posie: I’m a great fish mom . Because I love my animals and I study/research , a lot , to give the best care I can. But I’m also new to this hobby so I wanted to start small until I’m more confident. The day came when I wanted to add one little buddy into my tank - yes it’s a betta tank but I know there are one or two fish types that can hang w/ them and not get harassed . One Fish, if possible, was all I wanted. I went to Petco to see if they had a little one ... an endler perhaps or Cory Dora , or chili rasbora ... Sadly the attendant showed shocking disgust on her face when I told her my tank was 5 gallons . You would have thought I had my fish in a tea cup . I’ve never felt so second class citizen in a shopping experience . I want Petco to do well , they far outshine PetSmart . But I will no longer be shopping there - not for supplies , or bigger tanks , nor my conure or my Beardie boy . I applaud anyone protecting animals but this was a gross experience . If you work in retail please just nicely explain things and help people without antagonism or disrespect , “ we don’t have fish for a 5 gallon other than bettas” would have been perfectly fine. If the rule applies : 1 inch of fish per gallon “ then I was willing to try one more fish and grow my little family . But Petco will not be serving me in my hobby pursuits . I’ll retreat to online purchases like most hobbyists I guess . It’s Sad. Lessons: Don’t treat customers like horrible people . You wouldn’t like that either . Be kind and teach . Otherwise , your there to educate & sell fish . Not judge people just starting out .

Alayna Ross: I recently got a starfish there, and the lady who got it for me was sweet but did not know how to handle it. She took it out of the water twice which is FATAL for a starfish. I went back to the store to return it because on their website it says ALL aquatic life can be returned in 30 days if it’s not doing well. I was then told that that’s wrong and that it does not apply to petco so false advertising is a fun thing to them. It’s just upsetting, and a bad experience over all.

Kaiser Heather: We took our 8yr old lab to Petco in Granger for the first time last week. Bobbie was her groomer and did an amazing job. We did a bath with de-shedding and my dog now smells like vanilla and isn't leaving hair tumble weeds all over my house. This is the first proper de-shedding she has ever had. Her teeth were brushed, ears cleaned and nails trimmed. She can be very nervous, but was a hap-py, happy dog when we picked her up!!! Already scheduled again.

Lady2you2000: Took my cockaspaniel/ poodle in for the first time to Petco groomer appointment at this location. I was immediately greeted by the staff and asked if i needed assistance? I asked where the grooming department was and was directed! The groomer took out a chart that had different length of hair, and asked how long or short I wanted my dogs hair cut? I showed her what I wanted and how I wanted her face cut and shapped and went on my marry way. It was about 12:22pm when I dropped off my pups and was called back to pick her up in less than 2 hours! The groomer did exactly what i asked and did an amazing job! I finally found a place my dog actually enjoys!

Nathaly Bradford: I love the Honest Kitchen brand that they carry for my dogs food, they feature human grade food and my dogs who have never been ones for kibble actually devour this food. Also, compared to the other big box pet stores, I feel that their fish tanks are better kept and tended to than others, which I really appreciate. Good variety of fish supplies and furry friend supplies.Make sure to use the app or online for coupons and rewards!
