My Daughter Robyn Scott and her daughter Romiyah were residents in one of your units at Indian Springs South Bend.... June 24th 2021 Robyn unfortunately passed away from a long going battle with Cancer😭 July 1st Robyn's sister paid rent on Robyn's apartments for the month of July at which time she also informed the office that the apartment would be cleaned and vacated by August 1st.... For the month of July Robyn's daughter and her sister stayed in the apartment and packed and cleaned the ENTIRE apartment... August 1st the apartment was surrendered and the office was notified of such and Robyn's security deposit was requested... we were informed at that time that we "would receive a full refund of the security deposit because the apartment was left in emacullent condition" Weeks later we instead received a refund of only $159.00 of the promised security deposit (which i never cashed)... I was told that section 8 took back the payment for the month of july...if my daughter passed 6/24 when were we supposed to empty her apartment...?It seems to me that no matter what we did we weren't going to get her deposit back from Indian springs nor the Housing Authorities🤬🤬🤬

Mikey Adkins 470: South bend housing authority does a good job they just need to fix the gas lick in their apartment building.we were quilified for housing a couple of months ago but we were told that we could not move in to the apartment building so we need to have someone call us to let us know what is going on.

Laylaw Boyd: Total waste of energy. Nobody answers phone calls its impossible to get an appointment and you can never get ahold of your case manager because thier inbox is always full. On top of that the guy working the front desk is extremely rude and they won't even let you in to speak to anyone or try to help you out. They need to throw away the entire staff and start from scratch

Rich Sal: Called to inquire about the program, as I have many rentals available in SB. I haven’t used fro many years because of the issues I had then. But, recognizing the plight of so many calling about Section 8, it seemed appropriate to give these tenants a shot. I simply cannot. Having well maintained units in good areas, the demand is very strong. I can give single mothers a chance, and their children a safer place to sleep. I CANT deal with a poorly managed, unaccountable office like SBHA. You do your clients a TREMENDOUS disservice.

Latrice: Was going to work here very qualified and great with customer service and working with people but they were very indecisive with not so good communication not flexibility …I felt from just the start of the on boarding process that they were not easy to work with. cynthnia Leinen: Can’t get anyone on the phone. Last year my housing specialist number was wrong. This year I have a new housing specialist with the wrong email address. Got my paperwork last week Friday, I sent everything through email to her. Only to find out that the email is wrong. I have less than 24 hours. And no one is helping!

Stephanie McMorris: They don’t follow their personnel policy handbook, the HR Manager should not be in her position she does NOT have the degree and do not know how to do her job she has the other staff do what ONLY HR (confidentiality is out the window)should be doing and most of the reviews are very accurate. There is no one you can go to when you have a issue HR shares it with the other managers. She is not there for the employees. Some of the HCV specialists never come to work and they don’t answer their phones..people are going into hardship because their paperwork is not being processed properly.The Section 8 manager allows this. They do play the favoritism games especially in the S8 department they need someone to come in and micro manage the staff until they get it running properly. They have always had drama in the office. Not a good work environment.

Gary May: South bend housing authority employees and their attorneys lost an unjustified wrongful eviction attempt against me in court back in June, and before I even received the eviction notice on January 23rd I had already had one specific work order that I had already to that point in time been waiting for better than a year to get done and to this day two years later my work order for my extremely low bathtub water pressure still hasn't been done and I've put multiple work orders in on this same issue over the course of the last two years and current property manager Jessica Calhoun just shrugges it off like who cares. And this is the same property manager that attempted to deframe my character in court by spewing out lies to the judge in hopes of the court and the judge upholding their unjustified wrongful eviction attempt against me and crucify me out of my home unjustly. These people must be held accountable for their borderline criminal activity that the FBI should look closer into because both Karl Nichols and Jessica Calhoun are intentionally and deliberately neglecting us residents here and when it's deliberate and intentional negligence that's criminal no matter what way they try spinning otherwise

Dudition p: They try to evict people from their homes for no reason, they shrug off urgent work orders.There's always issues with property management, they do not renovate badly used apartments. South Bend Housing Authority does not care about their residents. 0/10 would recommend
