Edward Edward: Stopping by this DTSB South Bend venue always brings a smile to my face. The lights bring additional focus to the East Race water way. It is marvelous to see the development in the area, including the new water turbo system that Notre Dame has installed to reduce the Universities carbon footprint. Beautiful and innovative!

Jennifer Heldring: It was beautiful!! Unfortunately the gates were locked around 9pm and we couldn't find a place to get in and see the 3 pillars. It also looked like a lot of the Riverwalk was under construction. There was parking directly across the river from the art museum but we didn't know until later. There are ramps to get down to the river and it's not that steep. Fun experience! Will have to go back when construction is finished for full access though

Bridget Martin: I was actually very disappointed in our visit to this location. While I get that it was under construction, even the areas that weren't were not really very impressive despite the positive reviews that were left by other visitors. I may try to visit again once the updates have been made to find out if it's worthy of a better review.

4worldlovers: Due to construction in Seitz Park, the entire Riverlights Light Forest and SB150 bricks are being removed and put into storage. Once Seitz Park is complete in 2023 the items will return. Thank you for understanding.
The City entered into an agreement with the University of Notre Dame to allow the university access to Seitz Park and the St. Joseph River to build a hydroelectric turbine underground at Seitz Park. After completion of the turbine construction, Notre Dame will return Seitz Park to construction ready conditions and give the City the funds to renovate the park. Instead of returning the park to current conditions, the city is using this opportunity to re-imagine the park for better usage. Plans include adding an entrance to the park near the AM General parking lot, a new performance area, improvements to the East Race bridge and promenade and a new public building with bathrooms and space for sales.

Marshall Robinson: Surrounding establishment’s parking lots will leave it only accessible by the hike and bike trail.AM General has it’s own two parking lots: one on the north; and the other on the south sides of it’s building.There was access to Seitz Park from Colfax Street on a drive all side the shirt factory apartments .The new apartments being built next door turn the drive and the parking lot private.The only access to parking is a lot accessible from Hill Street between AM General’s south parking lot and one on the north side of the Emporium, which is all to often closed for Emporium events.It is honorable park with a vibrant view of the downtown’s skyline.Right now, the park is under construction due Notre Dame’s hydroelectric damn - darn near two years.It will be tourist attraction that will rival any spectacle in town.It is on a peninsula in the Saint Joe river in the Heart of South Bend.
