Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes: what do users think?
Reynerio Sanchez: Beautiful replica of Our Lady of Lourdes. A spiritual area where you can pray the Rosary and be with Our mother.
Christine Simony: The warmth of peaceful light to all.
Kelly Gaylord: There is never a bad time to visit the grotto: In rain, snow, heat, or wind; in spring, summer, fall, or winter. Each time offers its own beauties, whether that’s the silence of a fresh fallen snow, the reflection of flickering candles in the puddles, or the bright colors of tulips leading to the grotto. This is a place of prayer, of reflection, of hope, despair, fear, joy, and tenacity. There is a quiet reverence at this special place, and I promise you will feel it too.
Andre McMahon: This is a peaceful place of worship and god!
Pat McGroyne: One of my favorite places on the planet. Peaceful, beautiful, and perfect for quiet reflection and prayer.
Hope Eck: Incredibly peaceful and spiritual place to pray or visit.
James Hall: Wonderful place
Thomas Hickey: The Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes was the most peaceful place I've ever visited. It is a place where people can come together for prayer and meditation and be welcomed and accepted as one. The glow from the prayer candles warmed my heart and filled me with the light of the Lord.
K R: This is kinda off the beaten path, down the stairs behind the basilica. Be sure not to miss the Grotto. There is a parking lot close by, or park at the bookstore and walk on a nice day. There was a school field trip attending a ceremony while I visited.
Kim Goldsmith: Always peaceful and beautiful. Love it here!
Tom Fewless: Peaceful and powerful at the same time. Don't miss it.
Joshua Baldwin: Beautiful grotto and a great place to pray and to come to Our Lady to have her lead us closer to Our Lord!
Ellen Martin: Peaceful. Was there at graduation
Dean Collier: Serene and soothing. Lovely to behold, refreshing to me. Beautiful.
Jessica Thompson: So peaceful. Silent time spent in prayer.
Iris Gomez: The Grotto is a MUST SEE of The Notre Dame campus. It is a great place to visit and reflect. A donation for a candle is appreciated but definitely not required.
Al Kach: Visiting the Grotto by the Lakes on Notre Dame campus is a wonderful, beautiful and peaceful place to spend time any part of the day during any season, and these pictures do not fully represent or give the real experience of truly being there in person (body, mind & spirit). It is A Must on the list to visit while on campus. Definitely and Highly Recommended.
SoniA: Beautiful place to pray. It's very peaceful in there. As in for security, the cops would pass by very often in their car but I don't think I would go there alone at night, way too lonely.
Kassi Porter: Beautiful experience!!!
Nicholas Petrillo: Simply powerful.
Richard Jones: Unbelievably beautiful place. I went there on a school retreat to Notre Dame and I will never forget it! :) †

Reynerio Sanchez: Beautiful basilica in the heart of the University of Notre Dame. Lovely experience

Kevin Hopp: Beautiful mini basilica...worth the a look and some quiet prayer time.
Chris Hiser: Stunning
Billy Guenter: The Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame is without a doubt my favorite Catholic Church of all time. From September 2017 until June 2018 and again for a football weekend in November 2019 I had the privilege of serving as a tour guide here and it remains without a doubt the best job I could ever ask for. The Basilica has so much history from the 19th Century French Stain Glass windows to the murals painted by Luigi Gregori and so much more. The Faith here is truly alive both the Daily and Sunday Masses that are celebrated here are so beautiful and the homilies are uplifting powerful and amazing. If your ever visiting Notre Dame's campus during a home football weekend or any time of the year is one place you should definitely check out the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
Transvectio Autobuses: Es muy bonita iglesia
Kevin Mckitterick: So so beautiful highly recommend visiting.

I was greeted by the most rude, hypocritical priest I've ever met! When I told him we had no food for our kids his response was "come back next Tuesday" and he closed the door in my face. Real Christian!

Moe Horowitz: Wonderful 🙏🙏☺️
Matthew Gann: God is good
David Moses: Very fine liturgy
Barb Drake: It was my family's parish years ago until I moved and attend other churches and a chapel at St Joespj Hospital.

Victoria DeHart: Beautiful church with amazing services
Kevin Large: Prayed the Rosary at the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament.
Josh Hicks: Praise God love one another
M P: Friendly people
Jango IG88: Jesus Christ is present in this beautiful worship house. The music and choir work very hard to provide a magnificent spirit and presence of our heavenly Father. The church is wonderful for prayer and quiet time. The priests and Parrish staff are true disciples of Jesus. Located in the heart of South Bend Indiana it is welcome oasis from the hetic world.Attend!!!
jackie scoggin: A very Catholic place.
Gary King: A welcoming and active Catholic Church in the heart of South Bend. Many young families find a spiritual and social home in this parish. Good music, thoughtful homilies and prayerful worship.
Anne Marie Messmer: We moved to South Bend just under two years ago. When we first came we "parish shopped", visiting many different parochial schools and going to lots of different church masses to try to find a community we felt comfortable in. When we walked into St. Joseph we were greeted with smiles. The priests speak TO you, not AT you when giving their homilies. The parish is filled with lots of young families, which makes bringing our little ones much less stressful, knowing everyone understands and welcomes the chaos that comes with having children at mass. The final straw that tipped the scale for us happened at the end of that first mass. One of the families that sat behind us stayed to welcome us and offered to exchange phone numbers for the Mom's group play dates through the parish. We felt like we finally belonged. Two years later, we are so happy with our decision, and feel right at home.
Miss Molly Brasseur: We love this church. It's simple beauty instills peace. We are comfortable here and look forward to mad every week. We usually attend in the evening on Sunday and can't wait to here what Father Dan has prepared for us. Oddly it's usually something that seems tailored to our lives at the moment. Like his sermon about patience when praying when Mom was in the hospital. Perfect timing. There are many ministries if you are looking for an outlet to share your gifts of the Spirit. We entered as strangers and stayed as family. We love it here.
Moe Horowitz World: It’s my east side church work at temple Beth-El . Go to for high holy days and Ash Wednesday as it’s close to my work downtown
Ashley Nemeth: We love St. Joseph Church!

Robert Holmer: I went for Ash Wednesday service. I love the architecture it was wonder, the people were friendly, and the priest seemed nice. As I was pulling out of my parking spot a cute lady even waved to me. ☺
jackie scoggin: Nice older church
Henry Schmidt: Very Friendly Staff and don't ask for $ !!! The Homilies are insightful 🙏
Andy Poe: BEAUTIFUL old church that's been restored to it's original splendor! Amazing altar and intricate details all over the place. I attended mass here when I was younger and this was my first visit since they've done work to it. It looks better than it ever has and the pipe-organ sounds spectacular. A must-visit if you're into older church architecture and can appreciate the detail-work that's been put into this gem.
David Moses: Beautiful interior, but small congregation.
J Siguenza: Historic gorgeous stained glass windows and beautiful masses with homey feel.
Karen Rinehart: If you're looking for a convenient Mass on weekdays, this is it-- Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 12:15. Beautiful, old church. Free street and parking lot parking.
Chip Healy: This church is like the threshold of Heaven. I made first confession, Communion, Confirmation and was married from St. Pat's. Have been out of the district for almost 40 years and sorry I didn't buck the system and stay in this parish when we moved to Mishawaka, but at the time was told there wasn't an option.
Sheere Fervida: Beautiful architecture!
Jeffrey Ford: Sad.
Elizabeth Chambliss: Love
Bridget: Warm, inviting parishioners and priests. We're a small congregation, but thriving!
Terry Gennicks: Pretty church
