Purple Porch Food Co-op: what do users think?
Kay Londergan: Best blueberry scones
Glen Hawkins: Always have what i, my sister and my brother & wife want.
Mia Wagner: I consider myself a gummy bear aficionado and they have THE BEST gummy bears around! All natural gummy bears here are packed with wayyy more flavor than any gummy bears I’ve had! Also they have pawpaws (aka the Indiana banana) during the ripe season which is a rare and special find!
Mark Schurr: My goto place for healthy special items.
Rikki Taylor: Great fruits and vegetables
Elizabeth Dawson Drake: This is one of my favorite places to stop on my way home. I love the sense of community they build with their member-owners and shoppers.
Eli Cantu: My favorite neighborhood market!
Hana Parkhill: I love this store! I took my daughters for the first time and they loved it too!
Chrissy S Chrissy: They carry local foods and products. There's also pre-made foods like soups, salads, and breakfast. They have kambucha on tap. My photo is a poke bowl from PokeHale which is from a local pop up. Of you're vegan there's quite a bit of vegan products. I'm gluten-free and I find lots of GF bakery items here.
Johnny Navarro: Very nice festival today...
Joseph Borkowski: Love the atmosphere and the selections. I've been trying to find rye flour for months and they have it in and bag the amount you need. So many different flours I will have to come back and try some others.
amanda havens: We get the majority of our food here. Milk, veggies... Feels good to support our local businesses!
Pat Littlejohn: We love the organic foods, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Kerstin N.: Looooove this sweet little grocery store! Found some delicious vegan grab-and-go options for lunch and a variety of grocery items for our family’s dietary needs. Will absolutely stop here anytime I’m passing through south bend!
Leslie Capers: Treat your body right
Slaterson: Update 3/28/22: I made my annual visit and I still can’t believe how perfect this store is! The nicest employees and a template for what I hope my local coop will offer once it opens.Books, fair trade decor, blankets, the cutest Easter gift baskets, candles, the coziest sweatshirts, gluten-free vegan treats, the tastiest curried cashew hummus, kombucha offerings I’ve seen nowhere else, and gf & v hot soup. Okay, they also carry my favorite raw chocolate (Rawmio out of Illinois, not carried at ANY other health food store I’ve been to) and local moisturizers made by the Soapy Gnome and Sai Shakti.*Bernie 👀 has been relocated to the bathroom, causing me a mini heart palpitation when I forgot about him until I noticed him over my shoulder while washing my hands. 😳Oh my word! I stopped in on the way to my Airbnb and couldn’t have made a better decision! Bernie greeted me, beautiful fresh flowers and plants, lovely candles and coffee and vegan, gluten free, sugar free jam (which I’ve never seen for sale in all for my travels) and all the things I’d ever need to enjoy my little mini road trip for work. I’d stay in South Bend again anytime as long as I can visit the Purple Porch!
Maeve O'Brien: Very nice atmosphere and 100/10, was a little hot in there could have been Bernie Sanders tho
Ana N: One of my favorites in South Bend!
Caleb michalski: they’re soup is great, but the prices are pretty high. price for convenience i guess? maybe im just too broke for the bougie lifestyle
Drew Brown: Great food
Mare: The deli has a convenient variety of vegan-friendly quick bites and snacks like BLT wraps, grain bowls, cupcakes, and more as well as a large bulk dried goods selection of spices, teas, nuts, etc. The grocery department in general is relatively small but full of only the highest standard local, regional, and eco-conscious essentials.

Kroger: what do users think?
Cortney Love: My favorite grocery store.
Dan VanMele: Have most items in stock and Short or minimum check out lines,
Max Lytle: It was extremely busy with Xmas a few days away. However operations seemed to move smoothly other than the pharmacy. I heard quite a few of those people complaining
Jennifer Arevalo: Their produce manager is very kind and always helps me get cases of the items I need. However, I am knocking off two stars due to their cashiers. I prefer self check out just because their attitude is TERRIBLE.The other day the cashier was really rude and ignored when I would speak to her. She even tried to overcharge me on lettuce.Seriously I love Kroger, their deals are awesome. I'll just stick with self check out from now on.I will admit they treat you how they see you. When I go in all dressed up they're nice, but if I go while doing chores or my hairs up in a bun and no make up they are always so flippant towards me.
Jacki Hein: Older grocery needs to be upgraded
Carl Hagg: Not enough sales tord heart healthy diet.Expshelly the ones that can't afford a 💓 healthy diet on food stamps. Was just at Kroger on 8/22 /2022.in self service line purchasing some items ask the cashier for help with digital couponsI had all ready entered my phone for my kroger card thatCoincide with my card he tell me myPhone number used twice I asked howI asked him to reduce the order he said NoI ask to speak to a store managerI told him what happened ask he can'tThe after a argument because my info was being used he tells me to leave I ask whyAsk him to re do order he said noThen instead of finding the problemHe calls sbpd if Kroger corp was to watch video thay would see I did nothing wrongHere I am with heart failure thay kept arguing before sbpd shows cashier is standing behind manager laughingFinily sbpd showed asked what happenedHe told his I told mine the officer was veryOne sided doing his job for the managerDo not understand why I was treated this way. I WILL BET I'M IN KROGER 3 OUT OF 5BUY THINGSWHEN THERE IS A SAFTY I SPEAK UP NICELYSHOW WHAT WAS WRONG.FOR EXAMPLE BAIR WIRE IN MEAT KOOLERHO CAME BACK IT WAS LIVE WIRE HE TAPED VERIOUS UTHER THINGNO. I HAVE A PROBLEM SHAME ON HIM.Doesn't deal with problem called sbpdOver the Kroger card of mineI call Kroger Corp about magment and cashier dealing the problemHopefully I get a call back from Kroger Corp tomorrow the no trespassing orderShould have never ben filed if the problemOf my Kroger card was delet withNot telling me on my way out to go shop at Martin's. Thank for listening
Shane S: Stopped here on the way home to get some stuff. Great prices and the staff was extremely friendly. Definitely going to stop here again to pick up some things.
Megan Boomershine: I am changing my review. In the last few month the store has gone really down hill. A few weeks ago when the temps outside were above 90° the store didn't have the AC on for well over a week. The produce was rotting in the fresh fruit section and fresh veg section amd there was so many bugs flies and gnats. And even still it smells so bad of mold there by the potatoes its enough to take your breath away. The meat case has a horrendous rotten smell now by the chicken. The milk case has a bad smell now too. The new store manager doesnt seem to care about cleaning like the old one did. Its getting kinda nasty. I am worried the store will end up getting closed down because of his horrible oversights in cleanliness. Before customer service was always opened now its closed several days a week. Ive gotten big cuts of beef that cost over 20$ that have been bad when I open them to cook them but didnt look rotten but smell so bad when I opened the package. Also Ive bought baked goods that have been moldy when I open it. This never was an issue under the other mans watch. I dont know the new manager but its obvious someone new has taken over and he doesnt have the same values as the previous store manager. That smell in the fruit and veg department makes you almost sick. I'm worried the store will end up closed down if this keeps up. Please please address this issue District management. Our community needs this store. I love shopping there but I'm close to going to a new location and that makes me feel so sad.
Tala Gentry: I was at kroger trying to pick out a designed cake for my daughters 1st bday. & Heather from deli/ cake area was so very helpful. She went above an beyond for me to make sure my daughter had an amazing princess cake. She was very kind an deserves a raise. Thank you Heather from krogers!!
Joseph Hunter: Kroger is Kroger. Always something good on sale limits on many products
Golden DomeCab: Very friendly staff and check out
robert young: absolutely 2 stars for the fresh fruits n vigies that are far from..embarrassing..mon july25 just revisited this Kroger store.. in the past my visits and reviews have not been favorable.. today my visit was much much better. newer management changes..store much cleaner. produce sparse but quality 👌 very much improved.. stock on shelves tidy...SOMEONE HAS STEPPED UP TO MAKE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE GOOD.. FOR NOW I GIVE 4 STARS 🌟 TO SEE IF IMPROVEMENTS CONTINUE..
Anna Clark: TWICE NOW I HAVE BOUGHT A$100 MASTER CARD AT KROGER ON WESTERN IN SOUTHBEND AND WHEN I WE T TO USE THE CARD IT HAD ALREADY BEEN COMPROMISED SO I HAD TO WAIT 6 -10 DAYS TO GET MY MONEY BACK BAD BUISNESS DONT BUY CARDS FROM THIS KROGER IT SHOWS Activated BUT DONT WORK
Connie Ploughe Kourlas: All food is expensive now, it's the best place for me to shop I'm on SSI, can't afford Martin's everyday prices get sale item's, meat is good and has good deal's often it's close to a one stop shop for me..hope this helps..thank you connie
Chenetta Fox: Liked it
Debbie Lane: Needs more cashiers
debbie butler: Kroger's is okay I like it better when they open earlier and close later for us older people it's much better hours pretty friendly people work there I must say so yes I will keep going there
Dawn Young: Good except for I forgot my Kroger card and tried to enter alternate I'd which is your phone number and it didn't work but a nice guy helped me out with his card. Thanks again
Lexus Jenkins: They never have customer service desk open and it’s such an inconvenience. They need help bad!!!
Ernesto Frye: Great energy and service
Russ Holse: Trashiest Kroger in town, avoid if you can. Garbage customer next to me stole my cashback right when it was dispensed in a brief moment when my back was turned, management did not care.

Kroger: what do users think?
mark gamble: Don't waste your time here, Martins is nearby.
Krystal Sutton: This is the store to hit up if you're in the shoplifting game. It's as if they hire the most ignorant people they can find. I watched a guy go through the store and load up a clear trash bag full of food and then walk out the entrance door. Nobody noticed. Nobody thought that was suspicious. Obviously, kroger has no loss prevention agents.Other than that, they are usually stocked up with whatever I went in for. Employees are alright, never had to interact with too many of them.
Melissa Konkol: My boyfriend Billy S.and I always love shopping here
RCP Packaging & Consulting LLC: My Krogers
Spider Studios: They have decent deals.
Monica Garber: Went in this evening to get some Lotto tickets for Christmas. All but 3 were messed up- they were cut incorrectly by the machine. After asking who I needed to speak with, I had to come back a 1/2 hour later as she had gone on lunch. Christine helped me get new tickets. She was slammed and still helped. I so appreciate her!
Joe Knoxville: The store has went into the toilet completely. Always only 1 or 2 lanes open during peak times, self checkouts get backed up by at least 20 people long on a regular basis, every single shopping cart is always gone and you have to walk back outside (better off to just leave the store entirely) and play games trying to hunt down an empty shopping cart somewhere in the parking lot for 5-10 mins before you find one. The food is ALWAYS expired and never rotated. 5 times I have gotten more than one food item from here that was expired. I just bought a package of Oreos on Dec. 7th 2022 that expired back on April 23 of 2022. I have also seen loafs of bread on the shelves that have been nibbled on by rats that are still on the shelves for sale. Like seriously, come on. The "fresh produce" is also NEVER fresh, it's usually always soft and squishy on the near side of rotten, and the fruit flies swarm in the masses above them and in them. The store used to be a great store back in 2013, 2014 , and now it's just totally fallen apart. Too bad.
Milo Clancy: Never have enough carts- people waiting for others to finish shopping. Still, its the least horrible of Kroger stores in the area/
Roger DeCook: Only one register open on saturday. With the exception of all the self checkout. having a cart full of groceries isn't for the self checkout. Get it together.
Ken Van Nevel: Has problems with keeping items in stock
Mike: Best Kroger in the area. Wide selection of everything in a bigger store. Very friendly pharmacy staff and store employees.
Lex Wess: The store is dirty. Carts are never available they are outside and there are never enough. Produce is always moldy and old broccoli was so old it was turning yellow. Employees outside in the front of the store smoking. Items constantly out of stock. They need new management!!
Jordan G: I got some raspberries at the South Bend, IN kroger, and when I got them home, I opened the container and the whole thing was filled with mold, I am very disappointed with the service there as well, the cashier was very rude.
Jim Rockford: The new remodel and rearrangement of the food and aisles is DISGUSTING. It's like it is a game to them - to see how to make someone's shopping experience as confusing and convoluted as possible. What used to be a 15 minute exercise shopping now takes nearly an hour. Bread is split across 2 aisles, other foods are in nonsensical locations (like having the pickles and condiments in the world and asian market aisle or having the aluminum foil in the toilet paper aisle), every single place where you used to find your staple foods is now completely rearranged. And what is the deal with tearing up the floor tiles and leaving it ugly bare concrete? It makes the store look like a collapsing old dump. The availability of common brand food items keeps dropping and dropping so much I am ready to cease shopping here and deal with Walmart's trashy store because at least you can find what you need there.
Mike Meeks: Had just about everything I needed
Rick Shafer: Had enough time to post a review while I stood in the only checkout line with an employee. Self checkouts are a joke. Small kiosks with no place to put your groceries.
Brenda S: We love the cliklist, we have been using it since 2020 & have never had any issues. It’s super easy to use & saves us a lot of money . I like doing my pick up on Thursdays best because the gentleman, Dan, who loads out order is so friendly & always does a great job.
ChristineA Woolley: Like the new remodel, but twice now I've showed up and there are no carts available because they are all out in the parking lot. And no one at customer service counter either.
Jodi Jones: Mike in the Deli was extremely helpful and stopped working on a extremely large order that was due in 10 min to serve me. I would have waited but explained I only needed 3 items this visit. Kudos to Mike. Huge shout out for the excellent customer service!!!
Christy Garrison: Love the low prices
Agny Sanchez: The cashier Laura it’s the worst worker, very rude and racist.

Meijer: what do users think?
Dennis Helfrich: Has everything I need
Laura Mcdaniel: It have everything I needed
Mary Wenger: This meijer only has two cashiers for us weekly dedicated customers who spend $200-300 but have plenty of spots for their 20 or less customers. Lines clear into clothes as usual. Frustrating!
Raynard Wilson: Very nice and helpful to me.
Tony Whalen: Nice and clean
David Dirst: Most everything you will ever need under one roof.
fred hess: Said store was closing no way to shop had to go to Meijer to buy my groceries

Hope Kuzbay: They had everything I needed and more. Hoping they go back to being open 24/7 again.
Jared KRonewitter: I l9ke Meijer
Donna Davis: Great deals. Hard to find help when needed. But they were friendly when assisting
Blaze Tundra: It was a great store, the inside was nice and welcoming, and a great selection of products too. Definitely worth going if it's on your way!
Gary Mayfield: Has a verity of indoor and out things, along with clothing and groceries. Check out lines are little long at times due to not many being open, have several self checkout lines but they don't pay me to check my own stuff so I don't use them. Over all a decent place to get a wide verity of home and out door essentials
Roxann Urch: Not too busy tonight.

toni patrick: Ordered hibachi steak . The fried rice came out and I took a bite and immediately spit it out it tasted so bad like mold and sour i wanted to get sick . I smelled it to be sure and could even smell the mold sour in it . The waitress says they make the rice fresh which wasn’t what I was expecting to hear . My fiancé paid for the meal and I didn’t eat it . Never will I go back again.

Michelle Karl: We had the ginger salad, it was great! We also loved the amazing roll, the beauty and beast, and the ohana (peanut butter) rolls!!They were amazing! I have never had a roll with peanut butter before and was slightly skeptical but it was very good. The beauty and the beast was a bit spicy but worth it.Don't forget to finish off your meal with the banana boat or fried ice cream!
Katie L: Surprisingly Horrible Meal and Service: 2 hours later - starving and traumatizedAfter many recommendations my husband and I decided to try out Woochi as our rare date night dinner. We were initially pleased being seated right away in the bar room without a reservation. (there was a show at the Morris and they looked to be busy but not packed, the “no wait” continued for the extensive time we ended up at the location) Once we were seated our waitress swung by with waters and a smile saying she had tables ahead of us and would be back for our drink order, 15 min later she returned – we decided to order everything and wanted to avoid any possible delays after arriving hungry. We ordered edamame, a boston roll and a spicy tuna roll as starters, then pad thai and udon noodle soup as mains. After 45 minutes we asked for an update needing something to eat and our patience running thin, we were told it was coming. Another 15 minutes after that we were told our meal would be “comped and sorry for the delay”. We were then bought two incorrect sushi rolls, we mentioned they were incorrect and the waitress argued they were right. Another waitress came over, confirmed they were indeed incorrect and whisked them away. My husbands soup was then brought out with the correct rolls. He was encouraged to eat because mine would surely be coming shortly, he struggled with the dish saying it was cold and bland. My meal did not come shortly, it never came at all. I had to flag down the waitress who now was avoiding us to ask if my food would be coming, she told me “no probably not, do you still want food?”, yes we came hungry and I am starving, “ok ill have to re-ring it in, do you want to pay for it?”. At this point I was so surprised by the entire experience I just asked for anything, anything to go so that I could eat something. She returned with a brown paper bag and a managers visit to the table. We were apologized to for the experience and assured we would not be charged. Between the awful service and the food either being wrong, cold, tasteless or not arriving at all, it was exhausting being there and ruined our very rare time out. 2 hours we wasted here. The meal didnt cost us anything yes, but it did cost us 2 hours in a babysitter and our sanity for the night. This was the worst dining experience I have experienced since before the pandemic. I would never recommend this restaurant, in fact I would advise against it.
Kara Reel: Love this restaurant. Anytime we are wanting Japanese and are in South Bend it is our go to spot. I have been wanting Udon like crazy and got mine with shrimp and chicken. It was delicious. We got the King Kong roll to share, it was soooo yummy! The sushi is always spot on. My husband got the beef Ramen and said the broth was super flavorful but the meat was really fatty so he was a bit disappointed by that. Our friend got the pad Thai and potstickets and said his meal was good too. He shared the potstickers they were very flavorful and moist. We will definitely be back again.
Dawn Marie: I went to woochi fusion last night before a show at the Morris. We had reservations for 6:15. We got right in around 6:10.Sad to say nobody came to take our drink order for ten minutes. We ordered two mic ultras. It took another ten minutes to get the beers. We ordered an appetizer, pot stickers, and they came out fairly fast and they were tasty. We then ordered our entrees.I ordered the hibachi steak and shrimp.I'd never been to woochi before and the only other Japanese food I've had was at Hana yori. So that is how I compared. The rice and veggies were pretty good. The steak was a huge disappointment. It was supposed to be medium rare but it came out nearly well done and it was not even luke warm. It was almost cold. Yuck. The shrimp was warmer and much tastier than the steak. The steak and shrimp comes on top of a giant lettuce leaf. I would rather it come without the lettuce.I assume it's for looks. But it's just in the way when you're trying to cut your steak chunks, and it just looks all slimy and wilted.I can't say I'd be excited to go here again, but I would go back for a second try.I wish the tables weren't so packed together. It reminded me of a school lunchroom. It was loud and everyone can hear your conversation and you can hear theirs. If I had a choice between woochi and Hana yori, I'd pick Hana yori.
thomas norman: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Shelly Speakman: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Sushi RollsMore
Melissa Miller: Floor Manager Stephanie made this experience very unpleasant. She interrupted our waitress 3 times when taking care of us. Stephanie was very pushy to get customers out, telling staff this table needs to pay and go, or that table. Running around like they were super busy when it was steady. Being rude to her staff like a drill, Sargent.Had we not experienced her demanding, I would not be saying this.I get it. Other customers have reservations, etc.. but don't make your staff tell already dining customers to leave when they're not even done. 🙄My husband talked to another manager to express the above and to inform that our waitress was so pleasant that she did not deserve the rudeness from Stephanie.Overall, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was ok if we didn't see the demands.

Martin's Super Market: what do users think?
Shohel Wahid: Relatively a small store with over priced stuff! You can buy same things from Walmart with 20% less price. I felt like they are pretty much taking advantages of being one of few grocery store close to University of Notredame. They call it "super market", despite fact that they don't have that diverse section of things to call it a super market. It's mostly food and basic household items. But I have to admit their produce section have fresh stuffs. Also quality products in deli and bakery section. Still feel those are also over priced!
Caleb Williams: Great deals and great people
Seth McKonly: Everyday price on grocery is over priced
George Hunt: Great experience every time from the deli to the butcher. Worth the slight markup over the competition to just have a pleasant shopping experience. The only place we buy groceries in south bend.
Kelvin Archer: We don't have one local so we have to drive an hour to shop there. When we do we always stock up on what we go for. Great experience, fair prices, friendly people.
Birdwellington Amalgamation: Best deli and specialty food section around!
Jennifer G.: Service is great at this store and the selection is alway good!
Suzanne Thomas: Clean. Friendly service. Quality products. Enjoyable meeting/eating space upstairs at deli entrance. Good spot for one or a group
Alice Gant: Food very expensive.
RCP Packaging & Consulting LLC: Close by
Lynn G: Love this Martin's. Pre made salads r amazing and my go to for a quick healthy lunch. Love the wine selection. Flowers always look beautiful 😍 definitely would recommend
Marcella Clements: This place always had what I need and want. Absolutely great service All the time. I would definitely recommend...
Mark Pedzinski: awesome
Amonda Hutchinson: Awesome variety of stuff and things and Grubbs 😆☺️
Cheryl Roberson: I shop at Kroger or Walmart. Martin's prices are a little to high
BlackBeltStatus: Smokehouse BBQ is really good for a super market
Shawn Stidham: Neutral
June Hidde: Such friendly staff. Always willing to carry your grocery out. Plenty of cashiers.
John N: Salad bar was closed. Panini was delicious.
Julio Cesar Perez Hernandez: A great market. Expensive though
Brad Lawson: I love my neighborhood martins.. great people
