Purple Porch Food Co-op: what do users think?
Kay Londergan: Best blueberry scones
Glen Hawkins: Always have what i, my sister and my brother & wife want.
Mia Wagner: I consider myself a gummy bear aficionado and they have THE BEST gummy bears around! All natural gummy bears here are packed with wayyy more flavor than any gummy bears I’ve had! Also they have pawpaws (aka the Indiana banana) during the ripe season which is a rare and special find!
Mark Schurr: My goto place for healthy special items.
Rikki Taylor: Great fruits and vegetables
Elizabeth Dawson Drake: This is one of my favorite places to stop on my way home. I love the sense of community they build with their member-owners and shoppers.
Eli Cantu: My favorite neighborhood market!
Hana Parkhill: I love this store! I took my daughters for the first time and they loved it too!
Chrissy S Chrissy: They carry local foods and products. There's also pre-made foods like soups, salads, and breakfast. They have kambucha on tap. My photo is a poke bowl from PokeHale which is from a local pop up. Of you're vegan there's quite a bit of vegan products. I'm gluten-free and I find lots of GF bakery items here.
Johnny Navarro: Very nice festival today...
Joseph Borkowski: Love the atmosphere and the selections. I've been trying to find rye flour for months and they have it in and bag the amount you need. So many different flours I will have to come back and try some others.
amanda havens: We get the majority of our food here. Milk, veggies... Feels good to support our local businesses!
Pat Littlejohn: We love the organic foods, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Kerstin N.: Looooove this sweet little grocery store! Found some delicious vegan grab-and-go options for lunch and a variety of grocery items for our family’s dietary needs. Will absolutely stop here anytime I’m passing through south bend!
Leslie Capers: Treat your body right
Slaterson: Update 3/28/22: I made my annual visit and I still can’t believe how perfect this store is! The nicest employees and a template for what I hope my local coop will offer once it opens.Books, fair trade decor, blankets, the cutest Easter gift baskets, candles, the coziest sweatshirts, gluten-free vegan treats, the tastiest curried cashew hummus, kombucha offerings I’ve seen nowhere else, and gf & v hot soup. Okay, they also carry my favorite raw chocolate (Rawmio out of Illinois, not carried at ANY other health food store I’ve been to) and local moisturizers made by the Soapy Gnome and Sai Shakti.*Bernie 👀 has been relocated to the bathroom, causing me a mini heart palpitation when I forgot about him until I noticed him over my shoulder while washing my hands. 😳Oh my word! I stopped in on the way to my Airbnb and couldn’t have made a better decision! Bernie greeted me, beautiful fresh flowers and plants, lovely candles and coffee and vegan, gluten free, sugar free jam (which I’ve never seen for sale in all for my travels) and all the things I’d ever need to enjoy my little mini road trip for work. I’d stay in South Bend again anytime as long as I can visit the Purple Porch!
Maeve O'Brien: Very nice atmosphere and 100/10, was a little hot in there could have been Bernie Sanders tho
Ana N: One of my favorites in South Bend!
Caleb michalski: they’re soup is great, but the prices are pretty high. price for convenience i guess? maybe im just too broke for the bougie lifestyle
Drew Brown: Great food
Mare: The deli has a convenient variety of vegan-friendly quick bites and snacks like BLT wraps, grain bowls, cupcakes, and more as well as a large bulk dried goods selection of spices, teas, nuts, etc. The grocery department in general is relatively small but full of only the highest standard local, regional, and eco-conscious essentials.

Trader Joe's: what do users think?
Ilia Quinonez: Great place to shop for groceries. Great selection of stuff!
Jose Escobar: Me pareció genial este lugar, muy buenos precios y excelentes productos… además la atención de sus empleados es maravillosa.
Joe Carter (MostDefJoSeph): Nice enough. But selection is limited. And meat is expensive.
HillRat 4wd: Love the products and pricing. Very polite staff.
Tavara B: First time at this Trader Joe’s. I like the food selection. The staff was really nice and friendly. I plan on coming back.
Amonda Hutchinson: Soooo many things to look at.. and all super interesting..
J. G: Praise Jesus for TJs!
Tracey Laubert: Great selection of all our Trader Joe’s favorites!
Nancy Adams: Trader Joe's is my favorite store. Employees are always helpful.
Shea Houck: I thought it would be bigger but I was surprised at all the different food they had. Stuff you don't see in a normal grocery store. I can't wait to go back! Kinda pricey with most things but I knew that.
Alina White: Love Trader Joes around the country and so happy to see one in this location! Its a great location, smaller but well equipped. The standards of their staff translates well here too, everyone is super helpful, pleasant and well informed.
James Bradberry: It’s always assured that you will be welcomed and dealt with with a quick check out.I really like the product and people.James
Ryan Scott: Always good products and some hard to find or off the wall ingredients with decent prices on most things.
Michael Ziolkowski: Trader Joe's was good, reminds me of an Aldi's only slightly higher priced.
M: Lots of fun snacks to try. The produce tasted delicious. The employee who checked us out was very nice.
M T: Always a good time
Nora Bates: Beautiful fresh food and fruit staff is very friendly and helpful. Flowers always on point. 🌺
Dann Vessell: All kinds of good foods and coffees
Jamie Amador: I haven't been to a Trader Joe's since I lived in Tucson so I'm really excited that we have one here in south bend. This has so many items that most stores do not have. I wouldn't say unique but definitely kitschy or out of the ordinary. Lots of organic items ala whole foods and pantry items that scream 'must try'. They are a bit pricey. I don't know if it's because of the location (very near the Notre Dame campus) or just because you get what you pay for, quality.
Dar State: WONDERFUL!!Great experience .Great products.Great prices.
J Edgington: Had a few products can get anywhere else, prices not bad.

South Side Grocery Inc: what do users think?
Nicholas W: Mom and pop store wish they had more items
John Dale Herrmann: I love south side it's a place to go well walk across the street from home it's been a home store for years and years . I love it being so close that all I have to do is take a walk across the street
Tamika Brown: They're selling things from savealot and aldi's and making their own price for an example I went in there today and bought butter now you all know that butter costs 99 cent and he decided to charge 4 dollars for it and he told me that it's not an community store and they get it from "walmart" but everyone knows imperial butter is not 4 dollars in Walmart so who can I call to report this store to corp for another example my kids went and bought slushies from them and they tasted like metal they need a health inspector to check that out as well , they're chips are always stale and the worker Likes to humiliate his customers and put it on social media and when they ask to delete it he says no I think we need to work together to shut down Southside grocery
tammy kyeyune: I just go here to pay my house bill's. The cashier is always on the phone. Customer service is a low priority.
Peter Pajakowski: I'm with the South Bend Fire Department. We had a big fire, right next door to the grocery store on New Year's Day, which was cold, sleeting, and windy. We were there for hours, and the owners of the store welcomed us inside to warm up, and gave us free coffee and cappuccino. They were gracious, friendly, and really helped make a long, wearisome incident a little bit better.I'd been to the grocery store once or twice, many years ago. Clearly these are new owners, because the store looks much, much nicer. It was much cleaner, better organized, and better supplies than I've seen it.
Bobby Mattison: Oo
David McCall: Ok service and selection
Samantha Murphy: Hgu
Josephine Thomas: Never been
Richard L. Balmer: I asked for something that had to be cut in produce area. And the cashier says I had a $5 minimum but he wasn't cutting nothing. He's a foreign person and yeah when you go in there and you can barely understand him. Somebody needs to go in and keep an eye on him and if you're not his Caucasian or his natural heritage you get treated like you're nobody so you need to check that out or get rid of him
Curtis Nipper: Extremely courteous
Bonnie Biers: Friendly little store we go there a lot since it's in our neighborhood I'm glad that they finally redid the floor it was kind of dangerous with all the loose tiles but it's comfortable now to go in there
Richard Balmer: Great professional services
Ella Duke: Been going there forever
Thejoe Papoi: Nice neighborhood grocery store, but not in a safe location. Panhandlers nearby during daylight hours. If you ain't from around here, my advice is don't come here. Bullet riddled neighborhood.
Angeline Gresso: It got better once management changed hands, but now it's going way down hill again. They don't stock most of their merchandise very often, there's only ever one MAYBE two people working at any given time and you can't always find them, which, in a store that small shouldn't be that hard to begin with.
Rose Harris: I went in to buy seasonings but didn't find too much. Ownership has changed and store is broken down
Rachel Helko: Love it
Charlie N Easton Jr: Okay
euphoriam elastic: Pretty cool guy always has what I need...
Donna Brown: That's where we always go it's a block a way from where we live I've become friends with both employees there not only are they nice their extremely funny it's always a joy to go in there I always leave with a smile on my face

Bamber's Superette Food Market: what do users think?
Christina Hidebrand: Very friendly, great selection of meat, cheese and baked goods that you can't find everywhere else
Gina Parrish: Stocked up on Italian favorites. Lovely store, great selection, and very friendly staff. The Italian cookies were delicious.
Joy Whitfield: Really clean store, lots of items you can't find everywhere. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are reasonable.
CARS FROM CALEB: Friendly staff and great selection. If you enjoy Italian cooking, fun drinks, or building your own charcuterie, this is the place for you.
Kory: This little Italian boutique is awesome. They can be a bit pricey, but they have quite a few things you can’t find anywhere else in the area. Check out their homemade HUGE meatballs in their deli counter. There is adequate off-street parking on the property.
David A. Rheinheimer: Love this store
Judy Wismont: Fun mix of Italian foods.
Tricia Blosser: This little grocery shop is the BEST! A huge variety of delicious delicacies from around the world primarily focused on Italy. Cheeses, sausages, pastas, olives (try the pitted Castelvetrano olives, omg!), sauces, bottled sodas, wines, tea, clotted cream, pastries, breads, jams, fresh fruits and veggies, and everything else you didn't even know you wanted. Go to Bamber's.Edit: Visit their deli counter! There's a wide variety of ready to go salads, sides, entrees, and desserts! I got Sicilian Arancini and a fresh loaf of sourdough bread. Yum!
Mark Schurr: Well known for its great selection of delicacies
jiminica jet: I get my speciality groceries there
Mark Thomas: great selection of imported foods
Gary Hepting: Excellent Italian grocery store. Very authentic in many ways, with a small influence and presence of American-Italian as well.
Bruce Reith: Always new things to find. I have to admit, sometimes I feel like I'm getting gout just looking at the variety of fantastic and not good for me foods.
Shreya Kumar: A boutique Italian market. The family who runs it is just lovely. Almost everything there is either imported from Italy or fresh baked by the owners. They also have fresh produce. Their prices seem higher, but it is only because they sell higher quality products than regular supermarkets. The place is highly recommended. One of the best locally owned stores in town.
Dave Taber: One of America's greatest specialty grocery stores.Excellent selection of Italian foods, pastas, olive oils...Friendly owners too.
Tim Wells Trex: A bit pricey but high quality, and some hard to find goods!
Martin Moyer: Pricy but clean and helpful
Edward Wargo: Upper end market with great assortment of speciality items and also great selection of everyday items.
Jane Smith: Lov÷ truffles? This should be your go to place. Plain, with Alfredo sauce with tomato sauce, in pasta. Lots of special and specialty foods
Michael Ziolkowski: A very nice neighborhood grocery store with great tasting cookies.
Susan Ward: I love the deli fresh salads. The wine selection, pasta, cheese and traditional Italian grocery items are wonderful.
