David Everman: It is a dive, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The problem was the lousy service. Clearly, I was not welcome there and ignored after the service of one drink. It seemed they were accustomed to serving regular patrons only. Anyone who is not regular must therefore be irregular? Maybe, I don't know. When people visit town for a ND home game, the staff is quite inept at recognizing money walking in the door. I will not return. Sorry I did not leave a tip, but I gave it to another server in another establishment who welcomed me. Two stars because the experience could have been worse.

Luis Perez: Great food, great service. Kip was great and food was out quick although they only had 1 cook. Drinks were very reasonably priced and the food was 10/10. First time here and I will definitely be back. Great spot to bring friends and family, plus they have karaoke on Thursday’s and a pool table. It’s my new favorite bar!!

Owen Slabach: The food here was absolutely delicious, I really recommend their sandwiches. The bartenders were pretty rude to the group of friends that I was with though, to the point where people sitting at the bar were confused why they were acting like that towards us. On top of that the bouncer (or whoever was sitting at the door acting as a bouncer) pulled me back into the bar when we were leaving and asked to see my ID and tried to tell me that it was fake. I'm probably not going to go back here.

Cami Salguero: Not really fun at night plus security is too grabby. Wouldn’t let me leave out the front door and I was literally grabbed by some security lady and told “you have to go out the side door like you were just told”. First of all, the speaker is right by the door, I didn’t hear her say that, there was no reason to grab me. Second, I’ve left out the front door many times before with no issue. Can’t have fun when security is acting like demons. Plus half the time they hit you with “sorry, need a student ID to get in”, who kept you in business when the ND kids were away for the summer? 🤔 This place is college trash.ALSO, they have a $10 debit card purchase minimum, and they charge $2.50 for water, so I couldn’t even get a water after I was drinking to drive home because I didn’t have cash. If you do go bring cash I guess.🤷🏻‍♀️

Albert Palicki: Pretty upbeat environment for lots of groups of people, saw bikers wedding goers and college students all in one location.

Evan Koch: Expensive drinks served in cheap plastic cups, shots are served in plastic cups you’d put ketchup in at a restaurant, they charge for water (don’t know of any other bar in the area that does that), upstairs with the pool tables/air hockey is hardly ever open, security is ruder than any other establishment in town (even Brothers, and that’s saying something), and you need a student ID to get in after 11pm (even on the Saturday after thanksgiving when lots of students are out of town). Place was half empty and still got denied entry due to lack of student ID. To top it all off, they have the audacity to charge a cover to get in. They used to be my favorite spot in town years back, but doubt I’ll ever return. They want to be a high class club, but they’re far from that. Despite being located in south bend, there are still better options to spend a night out than this place.

Saja Jaber: Just experienced the most heart breaking situation. If could give zero stars I would. I took my friend out for his birthday and a couple of my other friends had went in line to get in before us. The security denied them at the door because “they did not have their student identification”. Afterwords the security was going to let us in without any student identification. My friend told the security they were with us and he all of a sudden didn’t want to let us in. He was obviously picking and choosing, and it so happened that our other friends were black. I was talking to the owner who was standing outside about the situation, and he obviously didn’t care. As I was talking to him about it all my friends from out of town walked in with no student identification what so ever, and they are from out of town, and don’t go to college. He claims they were regulars when they have never been to finnies before. It was obviously discrimination at its finest and it was just very sad in general. After I was respectfully talking to the owner, the security turned around being hostile and asked me if “he comes to my job to tell me how to do it.” Very unpleasant situation and ruined my friends first night in South Bend on his birthday. I will definitely never walk foot in this building again. As for the owner, I hope you don’t have to go through what we went through.

Solo “NLS clan” Dolo: I know th owner, it's a busy spot. Downside is after a certain hour they only let students in. But usually packed with people and entertainment.

Taylor Schmidt: During Class of 2020 commencement weekend 2.0, they raised all their prices (understandable from a business perspective) and even charged for water (also understandable if you have low morals). What really upset me was having a member of our group denied a cup of water even when they told the bartender they were driving home. "Sorry, you have to pay for water".... bruh

Ms. Cack: Needs to update the music selection...not every "white chick", jams to Taylor Swift. 😑

Jaimeson King: This place is great if you want to get on the dance floor and have an absolute blast with your friends! Definitely pregame for the best experience though, drinks are expensive and can be hard to get when it’s really busy. I’ve been here a handful of times and can’t wait to go again!

Zachary Nelson: This is a bar where you can dance while a DJ plays some hits from 2014. I’ve been twice. One time I left at 11pm and this older guy literally yelled at me and said “where are you going? The party’s just getting started.” Another time I took my siblings and we drank some cheap mixed drinks out of plastic cups and made fun of this guy because he seemed like the type who would say “last night was a movie.”Anyway. It’s a fine spot if you’re in college and want a loud music-y place to dance. Like any club, cover your drinks.Also this is the only time I will post pictures on the internet of myself at Finnie’s. Hi mom!
