hardlines4: Last year I had my roof replaced by Home Works. I along with a friend observed about a year later that the roof did not seem to be done right and there were some other issues that needed attention. I contacted Denny Shay who came out and agreed that the roof was not done properly by the last crew and he would look into it. Admitting the job was not done properly, Home Works hired a better crew who replaced my whole roof at no other cost to me. The crew was out there non-stop from 8:30 am untill 6:00pm and did a fantastic job! This company 100 % stands by its warranty!

Kate Alber: We contracted with HomeWork to remodel the outside of out home. Their project management has been nothing short of subpar. They forgot to tell the painter we wanted the soffits painted, so now it has to be done after the siding which is going to cost thousands in prep work. They also miscounted the number of shutters needing to be stained. They scheduled the shutters to be installed before they were even stained. We were told they could do metal railing to enclose the basement egress but have now been told that was never part of the contracted price. I haven't seen the project manager since before the remodel began, despite her saying she'd be here weekly to monitor progress. There hasn't been a worker at my home in 2 weeks, and I have 50 shutters just sitting in my garage waiting for install.The ONLY redeeming fact is that their contracted companies for siding, gutters and painting are wonderful. Save yourself the headache and save money by contacting the individual contractors yourself!

Nancy Pittman: I talked to several companies prior to hiring HomeWorks out of South Bend/Mishawaka.I had an apt with their sales person who was very prepared for our meeting. He had already done an aerial review of my roof so he knew how to appropriately quote prior to our meeting.He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions.I ended up going with HomeWorks per their certified methods of install that would allow for craftsmanship and materials warranty. If I move, new owners can get the warranty. I also liked the sales rep a lot and the price was good!Crew was very hard working and got the job done in a day. They worked many hours that day. E R: UPDATE 2022: My home looks fantastic, and I have people stopping to say how much they love the improvement. Thanks to HomeWorks for helping my home's curb appeal.It was well worth the wait to have siding, exterior painting, and some masonry done, and I am beyond happy with the results! This was likely a once-in-a-lifetime project for me that I saved up for over a few years. I had a lot of hopes riding on it, and they met every expectation, were honest, skillful and prompt. My home was covered with cedar shingles which needed to be removed, then siding installed trim painted, and natural stone details articulated with the siding. The worksite is challenging with narrow and very high access to some points (1920's era home with "character").They replaced most rotting wood they found for free. I experienced FANTASTIC communication with the administrative assistant/project coordinator (Savanah) who was nothing but polite and responsive throughout the entire process. When I needed clarification about any details, Savanah and Jeremy (who sold the job without pressuring me) were patient and EXTREMELY good at clarifying due to being articulate and intelligent. I was anxious to have the work done, naturally, and unlike some companies, every member of the Homeworks crew (painters, guys who worked on the stones, demolition crew, project supervisor Tony, the carpenter who replaced the wood, and administration/supervisors Jeremy and Nathan) were thoughtful and kind to me. These are crazy times and life is stressful enough, so many, many thanks to Homeworks for making my project a satisfying one. I would confidently recommend them to anyone.Service:Exterior painting
Shawn Nickholds: Unfortunately I have had two vastly different experiences with HomeWorks. I used them in 2020 to finish my basement, and was very happy with the experience. They were very responsive throughout the process, worked with me to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, and I was happy with the final product. Because of that experience I went back to them when I needed to do some repair work due to some water damage. Unfortunately this second experience was completely different. (I believe this is a separate department within HomeWorks for what that is worth). After initially reaching out I was contacted to get some basic info and was told someone would follow up with me to set up a walkthrough and estimate. That never happened. After not hearing back I reached out again and was told they were busy but that I would get a call back. Again that call back never happened. In the end, as much as I wanted to go with HomeWorks for that job I had to go with someone else who would actually respond. So, while I would recommend them for larger remodeling jobs, I would definitely not recommend them for smaller home maintenance/repair jobs.

The project was complicated and involved adding new plumbing and sewer connections, new wiring, new walls - the works! HomeWorks did high quality work at a relatively quick pace, coming up with solutions to inevitable difficulties and keeping us well-informed on the progress. Thanks!
