Rachel answered the phone, answered my warranty question and an awesome conversation ensued from there! She started asking me about my current set up, how long do I run the pump each day etc and shared so much knowledge about pumps that I clearly wasted my previous time researching online and should have called her.By the end of the call I had decided not only which pump I was purchasing, but they had it in stock and when I showed up she was even friendlier in person!The company is lucky to have her!

Placed an online order in the early am to pick up at lunch and went to the store to be told they don't have the order yet. Contacted them online and said it can take 48 hours for the store to get the order. Definitely not convenient and bless the man who was alone in the store when 9 people came in wanting to get samples analyzed. What a mess, I'll try somewhere else.

Ronda (Ziggymom): The pool place that I've done business with for over 15 years closed down. I had to find another place so I tried Leslie's Pool. We went on vacation and my pool had turned green while we were gone. I went to Leslie's and after 4 VISITS with pool samples of water and over $200 SPENT, my pool was the same color as before I used their chemicals. Not once did the water change to any shade of blue. I've NEVER had so much trouble with a pool company as I had with this one. Nor did they offer any free chemicals after all my trips and money spent!I've had a pool for about 20 years, so I'm no beginner. Using Leslie's chemicals for the first time, I was at their mercy.Needless to say, I HAD TO CLOSE MY POOL WITH VERY GREEN WATER FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! I'm not looking forward to finding yet another pool company come spring! I'm not a negative person, but I'LL NEVER GO BACK TO LESLIE'S POOL AGAIN!!!!

Marianne Richey: I purchased my hot tub from here a little over a year ago. I had a issue with so I called the service department. I talked to a very nice man said we will see if it covered under warranty and send out a service tech. The next day the tech called not sure why but then he stated that he knows this will not be covered under warranty because he has seen this before and was kinda belligerent about it. At that point I no longer trusted him to come out and do his job which, I think he really didn't want to do. The smart way would have been to access the problem first. Will not purchased anything from here again.

Jerry, the manager of the store, was able to help coach us on the various products and helped us pick out one suitable for our needs. We have many more projects around the house that we will be completing and I can assure you he will come to great escape to complete those projects.

We looked at the displays that Great Escape had out and found one we really liked and was at a very good price. We spoke to Mitch who led us through the purchase of the hot tub we wanted. He was great and the whole experience was easy and painless. The hot tub delivered when it was supposed to and we couldn’t be happier. Best purchase this year, from a great store. So happy!

Tiffany Runyon: They came out to give us a new sand filter and fit some piping into our original piping for the new sand filter. We have a pretty weird system and they worked with it. Ty was very great, even after when we thought that there wasnt enough sand. Our bad! Well when we went to fire up the pool, unfortunately one of the techs forgot to glue a portion of it and you can imagine the mess that made. Pretty unhappy when I called to tell them this thing busted off. Ty came out though, same day and got it fired up and went above and beyond to fix the issue. We are very happy with our overall experience and would recommend them and will use them again. They stand behind their work!

Spoke to Cathy on the phone about some of my concerns about my previous pool builder(NOT SNYDERS OF COURSE) and she was an awesome listener and extremely friendly. Scheduled to have them do my pool closure for the winter. When they came out they were very nice and extremely informative and went above and beyond. Bryan Snell: Like everyone else says, they're very rude. Wish I got the ladies name on the phone. You can see even by their responses they're very defensive, unprofessional, and yep, you guessed it, rude.
Michelle Baker: The lady that sold us our pool liner was very rude. I bought the liner 1 day & paid in cash...my pool fell in, so we returned the pool liner unopened the next day. She didn't have cash 2 give us back, so she said she would send us a check. She then went on to tell us that she's not going to sell to "Dowagiac people" because they return their items. This is the following week....and I still haven't received my refund check. I will NEVER shop here again.

Cassandra Maiden: American Home Shield sent them out to check on pool plumbing. They told me that I had an underground break and that the insurance won't cover it. The tech kept saying "too bad its not at the valve, they will cover that". Guess what, I had American Leak Detection come out (on my own dime) and the leak is in the valve. Now I am fighting to get a second opinion since Synder's diagnoses was completely wrong AND reimbursement for having it inspected using my own money. If Snyder's knew what they were doing, I'd have my $400 back and my pool would be fixed by now.I want to add (since you brought it up in your response) That I did read my policy, I know what is covered and what is not. I inquired about hiring Snyder's to fix the lining but I am not longer interested given the inaccurate claim submitted to AHS.

Mark Herman: I’ve been a customer of Bontrager’s for over 10 years and was just treated like my business didn’t matter to them anymore. I have had them close my pool for the last 13 years as well as several other service needs during that time and always felt to be treated fairly with good customer service. But now I was just recently charged $185 by Bontrager’s for a tech to come to my home which is 2 mins from their store to check my pool light issue. They charged a $100 service call along with a $75 labor charge for which they claim was 45 mins long. According to my home surveillance, the tech was here for a whopping 10 mins. When I initially scheduled this appt Jonathan never disclosed a $100 service call fee and instead only told me what their hourly rate was for which I was fine with. When I called to discuss this egregious invoice along with the shotty reinstall of the pool light that they did, I was met with rudeness and condescending remarks by both the assistant service manger, Jonathan, as well as his manager. Both were not tactful nor professional and treated me as if my business wasn’t meaningful to them. And because of that I will now be taking my business elsewhere. I actually just got a quote from Paradise Pools to close my pool this year for less than half of what Bontrager’s has been charging me, so I would like to say thank you to Jonathan and his service manager for motivating me to find another vendor for my pool needs. At least you guys are good at something!

mike Stevens: I had my Key pad on my Old 93 hot tub. I could not even find the part on Google. Mike @ Church Plumbing and heating referred me to Bontrager pools. I was familiar with them as my dad uses them and i have bought filters from them. Jose Santos helped me out. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He scheduled a pick up and with in minutes My hot tub was back up and operational. Thank you Bontrager Pools and thank you Jose!!!
