Trader Joe's: what do users think?
Ilia Quinonez: Great place to shop for groceries. Great selection of stuff!
Jose Escobar: Me pareció genial este lugar, muy buenos precios y excelentes productos… además la atención de sus empleados es maravillosa.
Joe Carter (MostDefJoSeph): Nice enough. But selection is limited. And meat is expensive.
HillRat 4wd: Love the products and pricing. Very polite staff.
Tavara B: First time at this Trader Joe’s. I like the food selection. The staff was really nice and friendly. I plan on coming back.
Amonda Hutchinson: Soooo many things to look at.. and all super interesting..
J. G: Praise Jesus for TJs!
Tracey Laubert: Great selection of all our Trader Joe’s favorites!
Nancy Adams: Trader Joe's is my favorite store. Employees are always helpful.
Shea Houck: I thought it would be bigger but I was surprised at all the different food they had. Stuff you don't see in a normal grocery store. I can't wait to go back! Kinda pricey with most things but I knew that.
Alina White: Love Trader Joes around the country and so happy to see one in this location! Its a great location, smaller but well equipped. The standards of their staff translates well here too, everyone is super helpful, pleasant and well informed.
James Bradberry: It’s always assured that you will be welcomed and dealt with with a quick check out.I really like the product and people.James
Ryan Scott: Always good products and some hard to find or off the wall ingredients with decent prices on most things.
Michael Ziolkowski: Trader Joe's was good, reminds me of an Aldi's only slightly higher priced.
M: Lots of fun snacks to try. The produce tasted delicious. The employee who checked us out was very nice.
M T: Always a good time
Nora Bates: Beautiful fresh food and fruit staff is very friendly and helpful. Flowers always on point. 🌺
Dann Vessell: All kinds of good foods and coffees
Jamie Amador: I haven't been to a Trader Joe's since I lived in Tucson so I'm really excited that we have one here in south bend. This has so many items that most stores do not have. I wouldn't say unique but definitely kitschy or out of the ordinary. Lots of organic items ala whole foods and pantry items that scream 'must try'. They are a bit pricey. I don't know if it's because of the location (very near the Notre Dame campus) or just because you get what you pay for, quality.
Dar State: WONDERFUL!!Great experience .Great products.Great prices.
J Edgington: Had a few products can get anywhere else, prices not bad.

Purple Porch Food Co-op: what do users think?
Kay Londergan: Best blueberry scones
Glen Hawkins: Always have what i, my sister and my brother & wife want.
Mia Wagner: I consider myself a gummy bear aficionado and they have THE BEST gummy bears around! All natural gummy bears here are packed with wayyy more flavor than any gummy bears I’ve had! Also they have pawpaws (aka the Indiana banana) during the ripe season which is a rare and special find!
Mark Schurr: My goto place for healthy special items.
Rikki Taylor: Great fruits and vegetables
Elizabeth Dawson Drake: This is one of my favorite places to stop on my way home. I love the sense of community they build with their member-owners and shoppers.
Eli Cantu: My favorite neighborhood market!
Hana Parkhill: I love this store! I took my daughters for the first time and they loved it too!
Chrissy S Chrissy: They carry local foods and products. There's also pre-made foods like soups, salads, and breakfast. They have kambucha on tap. My photo is a poke bowl from PokeHale which is from a local pop up. Of you're vegan there's quite a bit of vegan products. I'm gluten-free and I find lots of GF bakery items here.
Johnny Navarro: Very nice festival today...
Joseph Borkowski: Love the atmosphere and the selections. I've been trying to find rye flour for months and they have it in and bag the amount you need. So many different flours I will have to come back and try some others.
amanda havens: We get the majority of our food here. Milk, veggies... Feels good to support our local businesses!
Pat Littlejohn: We love the organic foods, and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Kerstin N.: Looooove this sweet little grocery store! Found some delicious vegan grab-and-go options for lunch and a variety of grocery items for our family’s dietary needs. Will absolutely stop here anytime I’m passing through south bend!
Leslie Capers: Treat your body right
Slaterson: Update 3/28/22: I made my annual visit and I still can’t believe how perfect this store is! The nicest employees and a template for what I hope my local coop will offer once it opens.Books, fair trade decor, blankets, the cutest Easter gift baskets, candles, the coziest sweatshirts, gluten-free vegan treats, the tastiest curried cashew hummus, kombucha offerings I’ve seen nowhere else, and gf & v hot soup. Okay, they also carry my favorite raw chocolate (Rawmio out of Illinois, not carried at ANY other health food store I’ve been to) and local moisturizers made by the Soapy Gnome and Sai Shakti.*Bernie 👀 has been relocated to the bathroom, causing me a mini heart palpitation when I forgot about him until I noticed him over my shoulder while washing my hands. 😳Oh my word! I stopped in on the way to my Airbnb and couldn’t have made a better decision! Bernie greeted me, beautiful fresh flowers and plants, lovely candles and coffee and vegan, gluten free, sugar free jam (which I’ve never seen for sale in all for my travels) and all the things I’d ever need to enjoy my little mini road trip for work. I’d stay in South Bend again anytime as long as I can visit the Purple Porch!
Maeve O'Brien: Very nice atmosphere and 100/10, was a little hot in there could have been Bernie Sanders tho
Ana N: One of my favorites in South Bend!
Caleb michalski: they’re soup is great, but the prices are pretty high. price for convenience i guess? maybe im just too broke for the bougie lifestyle
Drew Brown: Great food
Mare: The deli has a convenient variety of vegan-friendly quick bites and snacks like BLT wraps, grain bowls, cupcakes, and more as well as a large bulk dried goods selection of spices, teas, nuts, etc. The grocery department in general is relatively small but full of only the highest standard local, regional, and eco-conscious essentials.

Garden Patch Market: what do users think?
Natalie A: I’ve shopped here for the past twenty years and love it! Had a great time getting my groceries today. Quality food and wonderful customer service. Best health food store around!
Jessica Lawrance: Great place we will be back. I need to try them Duck eggs, I'm hoping they get other kinds of eggs ☺
Carolyn Rozmarynowski: I've been shopping at Garden Patch Market for about 30 years, and am very thankful they offer so many healthy options and such a wide variety of food and supplements. As a vegetarian in Mishawaka in the 1990s, this was a wonderful resource. There are newer, bigger health for stores in the area now, but this will always be my first choice. They have a great variety of dried fruit, nuts, teas, vegetarian cheese, spices, and so much more. Whether you are searching for quality essential oils, healthier food options, supplements, locally made soaps or delicious chocolate bars, this is a locally owned treasure you should explore!
Cass Shae: I visited for the first time recently and was pleasantly surprised! I had originally gone in for duck eggs, but found that they also sell raw dairy products such as cheese and butter!! And organic and minimally processed bacon, yogurt, organic oats, organic 100% juice, etc. I didn't have enough time to look around the whole store, but I loved what I saw and definitely will be back! I've been looking for raw dairy in this area and I'm glad to finally have found some!
Ashlynne Lootens: One of my favorite places to shop! Very kind and knowledgeable customer service
Patrick albert: Garden Patch is a great customer service based operation. It’s like stepping into my past when I go in there. The size of the store is great as i can find everything I need in a small amount of time, like shopping at Cira’s or Mabel’s on Miami Street as well as Dave’s on Calvert across from Lincoln Elem. All stores from my long ago in the 60s. So I not only get: great deals, find everything I need, get approximate eta for out of stock items or an offer to order it, and pleasant, helpful staff, but also a chance for to get a nice, nostalgia buzz. I can’t say enough good things about Garden Patch. “They’re great” in my best Tony the Tiger voice. Oh and their fresh produce in the summer esp tomatoes is worth my 30 minute round trip.
John Mock: We had no idea of the closing time. They shut the lights off on us unannounced. Total darknessAnd they knew we were in the store. We have never gone back nor have our friends.!!!
Gail Thornton: My go to place for healthy food
Lindsey Mongerson: I love this store!! Excellent customer service and great prices and selection. A well kept south bend secret this is my go to place. A five rating
Chrissy S Chrissy: I've been a regular customer here for as long as they've been open. I love this place and always recommend it.
Kayla Noel Jaeckel: Wonderful service and products!
Stephen Miller: We have shopped every week at Garden Patch for over 30 years. They treat us and their employees well (they keep them), have good prices and quality items, but most importantly all considered is that they require a mask and are taking steps to keep the public and their employees safe.
Angelina Perez: Love coming here. Mask or no mask on others will never stop me from continuing to go to an amazing place like this. You guys are doing a great job. Thank you!
Theresa Morningstar: Find wonderful products here!
Christina A. Frederick: I have been a loyal customer for over a decade. Imagine my disappointment when I went in today and discovered two individuals without masks chatting at the front, in front of multiple employees. Not a word was said to them, and they were talking for at least five minutes. I called the store after I left to express my disappointment, at which point I was informed that the store was “forced” to put up the masks required sign in order to comply with local regulations, but has no intention of enforcing it. Furthermore, I was told that if I didn’t like it, I should feel free to take my business elsewhere. Done. I will never give another dime to Garden Patch, and will be sure to tell everyone I know to refrain from supporting them.
Carissa Squadroni (Rebel Ann): The owners are super helpful and friendly and knowledgeable and the prices are the best around
Sylvia Alejo: I called 11-20-20 at 1:15pm and asked if they had elderberries.. on the phone the Owner told me they did but to come today as they were selling out quickly. I asked her if there would be enough I had planned on heading that way shortly she said there would. I drove from 15 miles away, wasting my time and gas to get there and find out that they did not have any. After I reminded her that I had just got off the phone with her scrambled around the store finding a half pound bag of elderberry. When I told her I was not interested in a half pound as the garden patch had 1lb bag (I had called them too, but this store was closer) The owner had the audacity to blame it on me because I did not put them on hold! I was never told that I needed to put them on hold.I will Never never shop there again, as I was lied too I wasted my gas and time for nothing.
M Jay: Wonderful store with all the organic, gluten free, and health food items and supplements carried at much bigger stores. They also have the ever hard to find baking yeast that seems to be sold out at all the local chain stores. In addition, they sell local maple syrup, including Grade C - which is the best type of maple syrup you can buy. Support a local small business and shop here. Thank you to Garden Patch and their awesome owners and staff!
Samuel Miller: Nice people, always well stocked
Nora Bates: Staff is friendly and very informative.
Katherine Wright: Great service and prices!
